"Though its name means ‘anything goes’, this restaurant is exceptionally specific about the food it serves – Isan cuisine hailing from north-eastern Thailand and famous for its infernal heat. The PenLaos signature chicken is marinated with white peppercorns and coriander for three days before being grilled to perfection. Leng zaab is pork ribs in a spicy sour broth that is simply addictive. Ask for the house-made Isan tamarind dip to dunk the pork in." - Michelin Inspector

We enjoyed our dinner here, and oh boy.. every dish we ordered hit the spot. They weren’t too oily, the tom yum was excellent, and the morning glory was fresh. I couldn’t find a single thing to complain about when it came to the taste. The place was crowded, packed with people coming and going. I loved the food, though not the crowds. But what can I say? I’ll just shut my ears and focus on the flavors instead. I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I’m bringing my husband. He’d love to try the roasted pork belly. It looks delicious!

Outstanding taste and service. Perfect experience with those nice staffs. A little bit noisy inside as so many customers here. Love this small restaurant from the food to the décor everything Thai vibes. We just can’t help coming back again and again.

Amazing food! But the place was very cold (both ceiling fan and aircon was turned on) which not only made the humans cold, the food turned cold within minutes. Food was still good. Fried fish and pork was awesome. Morning glory was really good. Tom yum was okay. Mango sticky rice is a must have and red ruby was okay Chicken and pork belly was out of stock unfortunately. But definitely worth a repeat trip in the near future.

We visited Un-Yang-Kor-Dai to celebrate my niece's birthday with high expectations given its Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, but the experience was a complete letdown. The service was careless and unprofessional. Dirty dishes were left uncleared, and desserts were brought to our table while we were still eating our mains. Even after we clearly instructed the waiter that our takeaway should only be prepared after dessert, they ignored this and did it anyway. The food was equally disappointing. The UYKD Signature Grilled Chicken was bland and lacked proper marination. The Stir-Fried Soft Shell Crab in Curry Sauce was cloyingly sweet, drowning out the flavor of the crab. The Pad Thai was also far too sugary, making the meal unbalanced and unpleasant. I had recommended this restaurant to my sister-in-law, and she too faced terrible service—staff rushed to clear their table without even checking if they wanted dessert, effectively chasing them out. For a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, this standard is unacceptable. Both the food and service failed miserably. I would not return, nor recommend this restaurant again. Photos have been uploaded to support my feedback.

Did dinner this time round. The place was packed and they really came and asked us to finish our dining as there was a second seating. We had over ordered as everything looked so good ( and we missed Bangkok 😞). The deep fried fish was our favourite. The fish slices were thick and the skin was crispy. All dish s tasted authentic. The drink list could be more extensive. Will head back again.

One of the best Thai restaurants I have been. We love all the dishes which we ordered but my favorite would be the fried chicken. Prices are seasonable👍🏻👍🏻 The restaurant is well kept and the ambience is great too. Definitely will come back again!

Years of Michelin stars aura aside, the food is really tasty and worth the hype. 2nd time back, really recommend reservation a week in advance or be prepared to queue and wait for walk ins. Great service too even though it's so busy. Will go back again (and again) to try all the other dishes.

Absolutely recommended! I would 11/10 return just for the Tom Yum. The Tom Yum was amazing - fish was super fresh and the sweet, spicy and sour all hits the right note - it was so good that on our first bite we swore to return to try other dishes. The eggplant with minced meat was great too. The monthly special noodle was okay to us - quite a unique taste, slightly aromatic curry but very light taste. All the food portion was generous and both of us felt super full from all the dishes. The lemongrass pandan drink was superb too, very refreshing to clear out the heaviness. The service was good but must make reservation ahead of time. We went on a Sunday dinner and before they reopened for dinner hours at 6pm, they were already turning away people in the queue as it was easily another 2 hrs wait for walk in. The restaurant itself is comfortable. Sufficiently spacious, not too loud and very clean. Prices al around reasonable for a 5 year michelin guide restaurant and the food quality is great. Do yourself a favour and give it a try!

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience! Un-Yang-Kor-Dai is a Thai Select and Michelin Bib gourmand restaurant. Made a reservation the night prior and my table was ready upon arrival. I did notice many that walked-in and were turned away as the restaurant was fully booked... Staff were all wearing masks and wearing disposable gloves. There was a decoration on the wall to talk along with a small sign at the table to speak softly to help the vibe... Menu had plenty of pictures and ordering was done via an "Ordering Chit." Started off with the Thai iced tea for $6 and it was fragrant and had a nice foam on top. Most importantly, it wasn't too sweet and it was super creamy! Ordered the shrimp paste fried rice with their house special grilled chicken and the dish was super delicious! The fried rice was a touch muted on flavors as it was requested to be less spicy. The grilled chicken was marinated extremely well and super juicy. There was half a salted egg in addition to a side of cut tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Moved on to a side of stir-fried morning glory and it was tasty. Nicely stir-fried with garlic although the restaurant opted to keep the vast majority of the stems. ~$45/head after GST for lunch with plenty of leftovers. Restaurant is cashless and takes cards exclusively.

Yelp
Everything was so delicious! My new favourite Thai restaurant in Singapore! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was so friendly and attentive. The decor was interesting. The restaurant was really clean. It wasn't that busy on a Tuesday night but they do take reservations. Firstly, the grilled chicken (half $12) was great! Very juicy and tender. Pairs well with the spicy sauce for dipping. The PenLaos platter ($24) had pork spring rolls and pork neck (delicious). It was supposed to have pancakes but they ran out so we had crispy prawn instead, but everything was so good! The 500g deep-fried sea bass ($28) was so delicious too! Perfectly crispy on the outside but it wasn't burnt. Just cooked to perfection. For dessert, of course we had the mango sticky rice ($9) which was yummy and we tried the Red Ruby in coconut milk ($5.5) but that was just okay. The Thai milk tea was great! The brown sticky rice we ordered on the side came in a cute basket and it was yummy. Bottom line is that I'm so happy this place exists to satisfy our Thai food cravings. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
We ordered take away on Mother's Day since the restaurant was fully booked for lunch however the staff was very apologetic. The beef salad was nice and spicy and the beef was tender. The tofu and vegetable green curry was delicious to a perfection. Four stars instead of five because the price is a bit on the high side. We will certainly go back to the restaurant to try their other items and the desserts.

Yelp
A refreshing change to be finally able to get decent quality Thai food (Isaan style) at a casual breezy comfortable restaurant (as opposed to the tasty but seedy joints found at Orchard Towers or Golden Mile). Mid-value price point, warm & hospital service & typical familiar favourites cooked in a healthier lighter style.

Yelp
Even not considering the compulsory service charge of 10%, this restaurant gives their worst customer experience I had in Singapore. We ordered the dessert at the beginning and we waited for more than 30 minutes after finishing the dinner and dessert never came. I spoke to the service people a couple times, every time they nicely listened to you but there was no results.
