"Though its name means ‘anything goes’, this restaurant is exceptionally specific about the food it serves – Isan cuisine hailing from north-eastern Thailand and famous for its infernal heat. The PenLaos signature chicken is marinated with white peppercorns and coriander for three days before being grilled to perfection. Leng zaab is pork ribs in a spicy sour broth that is simply addictive. Ask for the house-made Isan tamarind dip to dunk the pork in." - Michelin Inspector

It’s the best Thai food in singapore! I’ve been here multiple times with my family and friends and all the dishes are good! My friends favourite is the milktea and the pad thai!! The portions are huge and the taste is authentic. The meat, fish and seafood is always fresh tasting. You can control the spice level too! It’s worth the price and the location is right next to a bus stop!! It’s near the singapore river so it’s nice to walk around and take pictures after dinner! You should come every month as they have new dishes 🤭!! It’s better to make a reservation in advance as there is always a queue. It’s slightly noisy because it’s always crowded but the food is worth it.

Place is nicely decorated, Michelin for the past 5 yrs. Food is good but slightly on the pricey side. Thai milk tea is $6 but very gao and is gd to have when you get tired of the food. Ordered the brinjal with minced pork, flavourful and no misses. Grilled chicken half portion is well done, chicken is tender and soft, skin is tasty. The isaan pork is a mix of fats and meat, sauce is sour-ish so mixed well. All good including the service and speed of food being served. But place can get noisy, able to hear conversations and laughter from next table even though they advocate to speak softly. But I guess tt can't be controlled. Good experience. Reservations required in advance as the place is full at 6.30pm. No slots for walk in even though first seating leaves early as the gap is probably only half an hr.

A much hype restaurant so my expectations is high. Many non locals in the restaurant so it falls into the touristy category( i. e. fusion) Food wise, nothing really wowed us, and the shrimp omelette is very average, with the shrimp tasted frozen packed. Batter on the soft shell crab curry is a bit thick. The water chestnut in the ruby dessert lacked any freshness and crunch. Thai milk tea not "gao" enough for my liking. Service was swift and friendly.

Food here is not really authentic, taste is not fantastic either. Personally, I don't think it's worth the effort of making reservations and paying a premium price. We tried the: • Soft Shell Crab in Curry Sauce: This was pretty good, it was quite tasty. Not exactly the same as the ones in Thailand though, I would have enjoyed a stronger curry taste and preferred it if the eggs were cooked a little longer, some of the egg seemed a bit undercooked. • Basil Leaf Pork in Eggplant: The pork here was a complete disappointment, it needed a lot more fish sauce and chilli. The eggplant added absolutely no value to this dish, not sure why this combination is favoured by others. • Pad See Ew with Chicken: While the pad see ew was not bad, the chicken had a really strong meat taste. • Massaman Duck Curry: The worst dish of the meal, this stood out for tasting really weird. It tasted too sweet and had an overly strong herb flavour. The smoked duck also tasted a bit gamey. • Mango Sticky Rice: Not that great. The mango was definitely not as sweet as those in Thailand, and the coconut milk on the rice could be saltier. Ambience was not bad, I appreciated the cool temperature in the restaurant, a rarity nowadays. Service was not bad also. You should make a reservation quite some time in advance to get a seat here as they run out rather fast, walk-ins will likely not stand a chance. Overall, I would not return as the food didn't live up to my expectations.

Google
One of the most authentic and better quality Thai food in Singapore. The red Tom yum soup seafood the grilled beef and the Thai milk tea panna cotta dessert are outstanding. They have decent beer promotion too. Will be back!

We enjoyed our dinner here, and oh boy.. every dish we ordered hit the spot. They weren’t too oily, the tom yum was excellent, and the morning glory was fresh. I couldn’t find a single thing to complain about when it came to the taste. The place was crowded, packed with people coming and going. I loved the food, though not the crowds. But what can I say? I’ll just shut my ears and focus on the flavors instead. I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I’m bringing my husband. He’d love to try the roasted pork belly. It looks delicious!

Despite the rave about its Michelin bib gourmand status, food was quite a letdown. Tomyum prawns with coconut milk @ $24.90++: large fresh prawns was the highlight, but aside from that, the soup had too much onions, hardly any mushrooms and a few pieces of tomato. No oomph to the soup. Half grilled chicken $17++: tasted pretty normal. The chicken skin had most of the marinade but meat was quite bland. Had to rely on the sauce for the added flavor. Fried seabass with a side of mango salad $35.90++: fish was crispy but the meat didn't have that firm bite and came with a muddy taste. The mango salad was good though. Pad thai prawns $17.50++: fresh prawns but noodles were a bit wet/had a stodgy texture and slightly sweet. Mango sticky rice dessert $12.80++: was just average, mangoes were quite tart. Longan drink $6.00++: thirst quencher, full of ice and heaped with boiled longan. They don't provide complimentary water. Chargeable per glass (no refill) or you'll have to order bottled water - Evian 500ml ($4.50). The place was packed during friday dinner service and rather noisy too making it difficult to hear each other. We were given 90mins to dine. Advance reservation recommended. Prices are on the higher end but I suppose that's how it is for eateries in the CBD.

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience! Un-Yang-Kor-Dai is a Thai Select and Michelin Bib gourmand restaurant. Made a reservation the night prior and my table was ready upon arrival. I did notice many that walked-in and were turned away as the restaurant was fully booked... Staff were all wearing masks and wearing disposable gloves. There was a decoration on the wall to talk along with a small sign at the table to speak softly to help the vibe... Menu had plenty of pictures and ordering was done via an "Ordering Chit." Started off with the Thai iced tea for $6 and it was fragrant and had a nice foam on top. Most importantly, it wasn't too sweet and it was super creamy! Ordered the shrimp paste fried rice with their house special grilled chicken and the dish was super delicious! The fried rice was a touch muted on flavors as it was requested to be less spicy. The grilled chicken was marinated extremely well and super juicy. There was half a salted egg in addition to a side of cut tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Moved on to a side of stir-fried morning glory and it was tasty. Nicely stir-fried with garlic although the restaurant opted to keep the vast majority of the stems. ~$45/head after GST for lunch with plenty of leftovers. Restaurant is cashless and takes cards exclusively.

Yelp
Everything was so delicious! My new favourite Thai restaurant in Singapore! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was so friendly and attentive. The decor was interesting. The restaurant was really clean. It wasn't that busy on a Tuesday night but they do take reservations. Firstly, the grilled chicken (half $12) was great! Very juicy and tender. Pairs well with the spicy sauce for dipping. The PenLaos platter ($24) had pork spring rolls and pork neck (delicious). It was supposed to have pancakes but they ran out so we had crispy prawn instead, but everything was so good! The 500g deep-fried sea bass ($28) was so delicious too! Perfectly crispy on the outside but it wasn't burnt. Just cooked to perfection. For dessert, of course we had the mango sticky rice ($9) which was yummy and we tried the Red Ruby in coconut milk ($5.5) but that was just okay. The Thai milk tea was great! The brown sticky rice we ordered on the side came in a cute basket and it was yummy. Bottom line is that I'm so happy this place exists to satisfy our Thai food cravings. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
We ordered take away on Mother's Day since the restaurant was fully booked for lunch however the staff was very apologetic. The beef salad was nice and spicy and the beef was tender. The tofu and vegetable green curry was delicious to a perfection. Four stars instead of five because the price is a bit on the high side. We will certainly go back to the restaurant to try their other items and the desserts.

Yelp
A refreshing change to be finally able to get decent quality Thai food (Isaan style) at a casual breezy comfortable restaurant (as opposed to the tasty but seedy joints found at Orchard Towers or Golden Mile). Mid-value price point, warm & hospital service & typical familiar favourites cooked in a healthier lighter style.

Yelp
Even not considering the compulsory service charge of 10%, this restaurant gives their worst customer experience I had in Singapore. We ordered the dessert at the beginning and we waited for more than 30 minutes after finishing the dinner and dessert never came. I spoke to the service people a couple times, every time they nicely listened to you but there was no results.
