"The namesake of this Southeast Asian restaurant is a legendary underworld figure in Australia, where two of its owners, brothers Morgan and Callum Sigg, and its chef, Chris Rendell, late of Flinders Lane, grew up. They’ve joined forces with the Grey Lady’s Callum McLaughlin and plan to eventually serve all day, from spanner-crab omelets at breakfast and caramelized sticky pork at lunch to dinner dishes like kingfish sashimi and rendang curry of Wagyu beef."

We got caught in a downpour and stepping into this place and eating all the small tapa style Asian-infused dishes was amazing! This place also had a lot of locals that were just so friendly to us! We had a couple rounds of shots as well since we were a bachelorette party celebration. And the watermelon margaritas were spectacular! Such a delightful flavor! The place has a very eclectic small-feel to it; super fun and again, the food was incredible. Will definitely be returning when back in the area.

Dumplings were delicious! Crab fried rice was very good. Favorite was the tuna and watermelon bbq sashimi. Big portion on the chicken lettuce wrap!

Late snack, so glad i popped in here out of the rain...a cool spot with my favorite rum !!! The firat two bites were from the happy hour menu and totally amazing... Fried Dumpling - crispy and delicious with a kick of sriracha that gives these babies some heat.... next was the pork buns..... pork buns with beautiful crispy crunch in every bite , its a good thing there are 2 per order... final bite was the tuna & BBQ watermelon.... so fresh and light and the smokey taste of the grilled watermelon was definitely a new flavor taste to experience...cant wait to eat it again... #meecheatsny #unclechopchop #chelseaeats #nyceats #nycfood #nycfoodie #dumplings

Uncle Chop Chop serves a delicious and incredibly reasonable happy hour menu all day on Sunday. I’ve been twice now. Both times were excellent. It doesn’t get busy until 7 or 7:30pm. The staff, each time I’ve been, shows they value their customers. I love that! Great food. Neighborhood asset. Love the Happy Hour menu. Great selections for vegetarians!

Great intimate spot! Perfect for dates, laid back yet sophisticated. The service was excellent. We felt at ease during dinner and the server did a fantastic job. The food was fresh and all the ingredients were combined perfectly.

Wow, what a cool place. Food was awesome (veggie dumplings, corn and spinach fritters, and amazing tofu broth). Our server was great. Great local vibe. Stopped for drinks but the woman who's not the manager (but just there helping the owners!) made us feel very welcome and found us a table to eat at despite being booked. Super nice.

Great atmosphere, incredible food! Absolutely must get the tuna and watermelon small plate (and the watermelon margarita to pair). The red curry was fantastic too. The dishes are served family style and will come out one at a time. They also have gluten free options upon request. Great spot for a weeknight dinner!
