Unorthodox Spices Meet Chocolate and Pastries at Intrigue’s New Capitol Hill Cafe - Eater Seattle

"A new all-ages pub in South Park called Uncle Eddie’s, from Keasa Jones and Michael Goldsmith, former general manager of operations for Elliott Bay Brewing Company. The bar serves a full range of booze plus beer, wine, and cider, complemented by snacks like curry-pickled eggs and fried mac and cheese balls; grilled sandwiches like a Cubano and a cheesesteak; and soups and salads, all available at lunch and dinner." - Megan Hill

This place is amazing, I drive by here all the time and I always wanted to try it. The chicken fried steak here is wonderful, the side of rosemary garlic potatoes are probably the best potatoes I ever had. The best part about the chicken fried steak is that is prepared over biscuits, so it’s like a 2 for one deal for $22, definitely worth it. Kerry who was my server for the afternoon, I swear, it felt like I was coming home to mom’s house, she is fantastic. Definitely come in and say hi. I dine alone a lot, so she is someone that will make you feel like you known her forever. I will definitely come back and try other things.

Stopped at this spot for brunch while traveling and couldn’t be happier to have found it. Our waitress Cary was so friendly, helpful, and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our meals. The portions were very generous - we took home a huge box of leftovers. The kitchen was accommodating of a kiddo without a kids menu and the biscuits and sausage gravy were delicious! Highly recommend!

Terrific find on our way home! Friendly, knowledge team with lots of great options on the lunch/brunch menu. Try any of the made on-site biscuit items and you won't be disappointed.

My two kids split the biscuits and sausage gravy. I have the Benedict with poached eggs and my partner had the chicken fried. Not what we were expecting. Usually the chicken fried is a patty with gravy separated it wasn’t. Everything was overly salty. My sauce on my eggs was chunky and gross. The garlic is just raw chunks of garlic, the aioli we got on the side was extremely garlicky and salty. Our kids biscuits were dry, hard and cold. The prices were obscene for the serve and food we got but I guess it’s trying to keep up with other places. But the disturbing thing was that we saw a few dead roaches by our table. Why not clean up the dead roaches why are they left there. My family was very upset and Michael our server didn’t seem to care and just made subpar excuses. I would recommend Glos, 5 point cafe, good voyage or bacco.

Uncle Eddies has become my favorite brunch place! The service and staff are the kindest people, welcoming and really seem like they want you there!! The fresh squeezed orange juice is worth every penny, as is the rosemary potato’s. This place is amazing, quality food. I love the veggie biscuits and gravy and the Benedict. I hope to try everything on their menu. I can’t say enough good things - oh wait! Free parking too.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to the Museum of Flight. What a gem! We arrived on a rainy Saturday to a short line of people waiting for tables so we knew it would be good. A guy came out from the bar (who we later learned was the owner, Michael) and asked if he could get us a drink while we were waiting. We got Bloody Mary’s, and what a surprise to get a shorty of beer with it! We both decided to order breakfast. My hubby ordered chicken fried steak and I got the South Park platter. Everything was absolutely amazing…the homemade biscuit, the super crispy rosemary garlic potatoes, the sausage maple cayenne sausage patty, gravy for the chicken fried steak! Need I say more? They also make their own pickles, which they started doing during Covid, and they let us try one. Super tasty and even the pickled jalapeño in it was delish and not too spicy. Michael, his partner, and the whole team were gracious, friendly, and created an overall great experience! I highly recommend stopping in and we will return for sure.

everyone working was so nice! my boyfriend and i found this place on a last minute whim. we went during brunch, and both LOVED our dishes. the potatoes especially were super yummy too since they're covered in like a garlic butter type oil! we tried the breakfast sammie, and the chicken fried steak. 11/10 will definitely be coming back! we live about 30-35 mins away, but so worth it :)
