This was my first time going to Uncle Lou’s. My family said the wings were sooo good. So I said let’s try it. I got the 4 wings snack. The wings were pretty good. I got the Mac n cheese. SALTY! My sister in-law said the same. She said it was so good last time. I tried to eat it but just couldn’t. The biscuit was goood. Should have gotten 2. The place itself was interesting. It seem like at some point the place was really nice. But they seem to be clean in the back. Overall I’ll go if I had a graving . The sauce was good!

Get there when it opens at 11 to beat the lunch rush. I was looking forward to eating some wings with some serious corruption. Their trademark seasoning. Ordered the managers special with fries and potato salad. Hot and mild. We also ordered the tenderloins. I recommend the chicken tenderloins they were alot bigger than the wings. The wings were on the smaller side. Fries were ok. I liked the potato salad but my party said it was a little mayo forward. The fried pickles were spears. Not to my liking. I wish they were slices since it is a better breading to pickle ratio. The sauce was good overall although probably nothing you have had before. Kind of like Buffalo sauce but not really more sweet, runnier, and then a surprise on the back end. Honestly wish they were spicier. If there is a better way of ordering then I'm all ears. It has a small dining room that can sit twenty or so people and some outdoor seating. They have a self ordering kiosk but if you can order at the counter for ordering help then do that. We ordered extra biscuits and we are all fans of biscuits. They were light and had potential but found that they weren't done enough. They were doughy. It was too bad we had three with our dishes and bought 6 extra to take home. Bummer. I hope to come back to review again with hopes of a better overall food experience.

Uncle Lou is straight killing it with his sweet hot chicken. The biscuits are the best I've ever had in my life too. This place deserves a "Mic Drop". Back in June of 2024 and they're still crushing it...

Saw restaurant on Food Network. Then, a few weeks later, Uncle Lou's had a spot in the concession stand at the game I attended at the Liberty Bowl Stadium & really enjoyed it. A few weeks later had to go to Memphis for a funeral service. After leaving church, drove to restaurant. Because of location, best to go during daylight hours. Asked Cashier what she would recommend? She politely gave some recent accolades of the restaurant & suggested the Chicken Tenderloins & Biscuits . We got the 6 piece Chicken Tenderloins, which comes with 3 Biscuits, 2 sides, & 2 Drinks. For the sides, got Potato Salad & "Honey Mac N' Cheese". Got 3 extra biscuits. Tried Chess Pie. Food was cooked to order, so food was hot & fresh. You can either order online, in Self-checkout line, or with the Cashier. There were several orders ahead of me, so be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekend. Food was really good. I think the sauce was great, but my wife really is not a sauce person. For future reference, if you don't want sauce, ask can you get it on the side or plain. I really liked the Potato Salad. We didn't realize the Mac N' Cheese was a little sweet and had a little too much pepper but was still good. I normally do not like Chess Pie because it is super sweet, but Uncle Lou's Chess Pie was the best Chess Pie I have ever had because it was not too sweet. I will be returning to Uncle Lou's and can't wait to get extra biscuits.

gets busy and chicken takes time but is very tasty and the lady working is sweet - try to eat there if you can but expect to wait unless you order ahead

Lives up to the hype! Loved this place. The best fried chicken I’ve ever had - crispy skin, perfect tender meat. The fried okra was the best I’ve ever had. The biscuits are incredible- order extra. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop.

The young men who serviced me were very sweet. However, the food was extremely disappointing. I traveled from STL to Memphis for the weekend. They were out of fried okra, so I opted for the fried pickles. They were so soggy and the breading was SO slimy… The chicken just wasn’t good at all. You can tell it wasn’t fresh. Only thing I ate in full were the green beans. I also got a strawberry banana pudding that was obviously old, & they use Jell-O pudding for the base (which is ridiculous considering they’re charging $7 for it.) Spent over $40 here. I would never go back.
