The Best Cheesecakes in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Japanese chain Uncle Tetsu already had a huge following in Toronto before opening in Montreal last summer, and the fervour for their fluffy, jiggly cakes has been just as strong here (as evidenced by the long lines snaking outside its lone downtown shop). Their cakes, available in regular and matcha flavours, are indeed tasty — light, delicate and subtly sweet — but maybe head down to Yoko if you don’t love lining up." - Holly Tousignant

Japanese cheesecakes at Uncle Tetsu are fluffy, not too sweet and delicious! The person who greets you at the register is always smiling, she's extremely nice and polite. I bring the cheesecakes to family gathering and everyone loves them. Also, fyi, there's a sign inside that says the cakes are nut free.

Hi I just bought a bag of original rusk this afternoon and I didn’t check everything, when I back home then I noticed that there’s only one layer of it, last week I bought two bags and both of them are 2 layers and full bag.

Need a quick bite? The regular Madeline was moist, inexpensive, and filling.

Google
The place was super small it was more of a take out not a sit down area. I got the original cheesecake it tastes like eggs nothing special& was super small.I thought it would be bigger.I even got their little Madeline muffins the chocolate ones were dry & haven’t tried the vanilla ones yet.

Google
Here’s the corrected version: First time trying a Japanese cheesecake, and I loved it! The place is very well located, the staff is friendly, and the service is surprisingly fast. The flavor is light, but you can still taste the cheese and sweetness in just the right amount. I will definitely go back and try the chocolate cheesecake.

Google
It's a quaint little shop offering Japanese cheesecakes in three delightful flavors, along with tarts and cookies. My personal favorite is the original cheesecake, and their charming packaging adds to the experience. If you find yourself near the downtown area, it's definitely worth a try.

Google
Small shop for take out only. They have some of the fluffiest and very soft Japanese cheesecakes in Montreal. This cheesecake has a very unique taste and texture. It is fluffy and light at the same time. It’s not overly sweet and it has a balanced sweetness that makes it a pleasant treat. Best cheesecake i ever had. i just love it. Would recommend for sure.

Small shop for take out only. They have some of the fluffiest Japanese cheesecakes in Montreal. I took 3 different kind Original, Chocolate and Matcha. We enjoyed all of them but my personal favourite this time was the chocolate. Cheers

Yelp
The cheesecake 100% lives up to the hyper. It's light, airy, creamy and not too sweet. I absolutely love it and they seem to offer different flavors once in a while. The madeleine was not worth it, dry and sort of boring.
google avatar

Yelp
Best Japanese cheesecake ever. Show up, buy a cake, dig in to 1120 calories worth of deliciousness or share it. Well worth the price.

Yelp
It wiggles, it jiggles! This fluffy, spongy cheesecake tastes as good as it is a aesthetically appealing. Feeling like more of a soufflé than cake, it is so light you feel you can eat several in one sitting. A flawless texture and ideal level of sweetness makes it disintegrate easily in your mouth. The cute logo stamp is just a superb detail we can't help but appreciate (it's wearing a wizard hat for Halloween, love it!! ) if you love cheesecake (why wouldn't you?) go get one ASAP!

Yelp
My friends know that I love desserts, including cheesecakes. I've been known to order dessert first for dinner or many slices of cheesecake in one sitting at the local Cheesecake Factory. It goes without saying that when I first saw Uncle Tetsu in my feed that I was beyond intrigued. Combine that with a general awareness of Japanese-styled cheesecakes, I was eager to come here but reluctant to stand in line, especially during a Montreal winter. Luckily, my sister had already been here (although she did get lost even with guidance from Google Maps) so she led the way. The storefront, located near Shaughnessy Village/ Concordia University, is tiny, reminding me of some doughnut shops in downtown Chicago. The front of the store accommodates one line so if you get claustrophobic, best if you send in a friend. From the line, you can see the ovens where the cheesecakes are baked and the counters where they are stamped and cooled. During the holidays, a Santa is stamped onto the cheesecakes. The line was mercifully short, especially before the holidays, and it moved quickly because there isn't a huge selection to trip up the undecided of the world. We soon left with a tiny cheesecake, enough to feed 4, in its distinctive red and white box, and 4 honey-flavored Madeleines. The fresh-from-the-oven cheesecake was light, in taste and texture, and fluffy. I liked that it was not as sweet as the cheesecakes I more accustomed to tasting, nor as heavy. The Madeleines had a coarse crumb and a crunchy crust. It, too, was subtly flavored. My sister especially appreciated that the small operation creates their products on the premises, rather than shipping them in from another location.

Yelp
i love love Japanese cheesecake, so soft and spongy, and sweet (but not overly sweet). The madeleines are good. I like the dried/baked (?) and sliced cheesecake the best, makes a very tasty snack!

Yelp
Just wanted to post an updated review, I have gone a couple more times in the past months and the cheesecakes remain awesome and the lines are non existent. Best of all, they now have a chocolate cheesecake offered on Mondays and Tuesdays only. Same pricing at $12.This dark version has the exact same texture and consistency as the original but with a delicious hint of cocoa. It tastes more like a regular fluffy cake to me and has less of that cheese or egg flavor. Great addition and worth a try. I also see that Uncle Tetsu now takes pre-orders if you buy 10 or more cakes.

Yelp
So far I've had the madeleine and the biscotti. I liked both but thought they were just ok, the madeleine is honey but it just tasted like butter and it was a bit too dense for my liking. The biscotti's were good but I thought they tasted too much like the madeleines but sweeter, in dried form (which I guess must be what they are). They were also pretty expensive at $5.50 for a small tub. The madeleine was $2.90. Prices I listed include tax. I would never ever wait in line for this. Reason I haven't gotten the cake yet is because it's big and I want to buy when I'm on my way home to share. I'm not sure how to keep it good so I'd like to finish it on the day I buy it. The place is tiny! I never realized you couldn't eat there, it's only to go. Even though the hype is over, it's still only one cake per person. They also don't have lineups anymore. Make sure when you enter that you close the door right away, they have a very temperature sensitive operation when it comes to baking the cakes.
google avatar

Matthew P.

Yelp
They offer very good products at a very reasonable price. I wish they offered a little bit more choices. Limited time products is acceptable when you have enough products. The store is very clean and the staff is very effective. I am just a little annoyed that their business model is to make you constantly verify if they have a new product for a limited time.

Yelp
After watching it blow up on yelp I of course had to see what the fuss was about. Went at 7 pm on Wednesday there was no line like the pictures suggested and there was nobody else there. We got the cheese cake which is $12 and it's only one per person. We also got one honey dessert I think it was $2. So the break down is the cake is a bit pricey but it's not something you'll see every day. It has a gelatine / jello feel to it so it stands out from any other cheesecake you've had. It's very airy but it is filling. Two slices of this and you're good. I think a cake feeds about 4 people. Would I go back ? Yes because its very different.
google avatar

Sam P.

Yelp
Meh! I don't think this place is worth the hype. We had it at a dinner party and were all super excited after hearing about it from a friend living in Toronto. The cake comes in a cute box and is pretty to look at. We followed the instructions we were given on how to heat it up and I was excited to finally try it. Honestly, it was just OK. Maybe I was expecting more of a cheesecake consistency. Regardless, I didn't find it to have that much flavour and the texture was not for me. It was bland to say the least.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
We arrived Saturday around 730 PM and were greeted by a line out the door. I didn't mind the wait since it allowed me to people watch as well as observe the bakers doing their thing. I also loved how each cheesecake is freshly baked, branded, and wrapped when you receive it. For those unfamiliar with a Japanese cheesecake be warned that it is not dense, but is instead airy like an angel food cake. I actually really appreciated the lightness of this cheesecake as it also wasn't super sweet, but paired very well with coffee! Miel Madeleine AKA Honey Madeleine is great for those wanting something a bit sweeter. We only bought one of these to try but next time I would definitely buy more since I loved the nice browned crispy outside and the moist almost cornbread like inside. I only had a bite of the Biscotte as they offered samples by the cash register, but it was much too sweet for me. However, for those with a sweet tooth, this would definitely help to satisfy that craving. Oh, but I did like how it had a nice bite to it, and would also probably pair very well with coffee!

Yelp
I was very excited when I saw there was an Uncle Tetsu in Montreal! Came a couple of times while I was in Montreal and it did not disappoint. Everytime I went, there was no line and I was in and out within minutes. There are only 3 items on the menu (the cheesecake ($12), the honey madeleine cupcake ($2.50) and the cheesecake biscotti ($4.80)). The cheesecake was delicious, fluffy and light. It wasn't too sweet and the texture was perfect. The honey madeleine was only good when it was fresh out of the oven. After a few hours it was really dry and hardened up. The cheesecake biscotti were really good as well. On my last day in Montreal, I wanted to buy multiple cheesecakes back to NY for family and friends but they have a very strict one cheesecake per person rule. I thought this was ridiculous since the hype have died down in the area and there was no one on line! It was my money that's going down the drain so I didn't see what the big deal of selling me 2 extra cheesecakes would do to them. I also wish there were different cheesecake flavors besides the original. Until NY opens up an Uncle Tetsu, I would definitely come back whenever I'm in Montreal. Definitely a family favorite! It is also a lot cheaper than the cheesecakes in NY! I would be paying almost triple the price I did for the Uncle Tetsu!

Yelp
We knew Uncle Tetsu was in town, but never managed to go there until now. We showed up on a Tuesday night around 9h. We just had a nice dinner out, and took a long stroll through chilly downtown. The idea of fresh, warm pastries was very attractive. There was, of course, a line up, but it wasn't very intimidating. It smelled so good inside the shop!! We waited for perhaps 15 min, while the freshly-cooked cheesecakes were unmolded, branded and boxed right on the other side of the sneeze guard. We got a cheesecake and one madeleine. The passed on the rusks (I observed how they were made while waiting and they were just slices of cheesecake dunked in sugar then oven-dried till crisp). We tasted the madeleine first. It was still warm, and had the texture of my mom's old muffin recipe (good, but nothing more - I also choked on it, just like I did with my mom's muffins). The cheesecake was of course the highlight of the trip. It's undescribable lightness is a pleasure to probe. The cake is good while warm, as it retains more moisture and has an almost custardy texture toward the center parts. I personnally prefer it cool, as the taste is less eggy. Needless to say that the cheesecake didn't last long at home! Hopefully in the future they will have an expanded menu, with matcha cheesecakes and such. If anybody asks me about japanese cheesecake in Montreal, I'll have to point to Uncle Tetsu.

Yelp
Uncle Tetsu is very well known for their Japanese cheesecake. It's tiny tiny spot, where you pick up the cake. It's already made, and packed. You see in the background, the workers are continuously producing the cakes. It is fluffy. creamy, delicious and mildly flavorless. It doesn't have the wow factor.
google avatar

Aimee H.

Yelp
Classic airy Japanese cheese cake. Need I say more? Go get one! I find the cake easier to eat with utensils than by hand because it's so delicate. Perfect little dessert to bring to a friend's house.
google avatar

Celine H.

Yelp
Light, fluffy and not too sweet! Couldn't help but eat a 2nd portion! Must-try! They should open other branches!
google avatar

Mikaela K.

Yelp
Very delicious Japanese Cheesecake. Light and fluffy. Not heavy like regular cheesecake.
google avatar

Anthony B.

Yelp
The place is simply too small and they do not have enough cheesecakes ready to serve. We came one night around 5pm during the week and there was a line of maybe 8 people. That's all that can fit inside. They were waiting for the cheesecakes to be done. 15 minutes later they start to get their cheesecakes. We finally get our turn and... They were all out from that one silly batch. So now we had to wait an additional half an hour! And he told us we had to stay in the small store which immediately packed back up shoulder to shoulder. It was a mess and people kept coming in and out of the store. Dude with a wheelchair showed up and couldn't get in either, there's no ramp into the store. The cheesecake was pretty good, but not worth that circus.
google avatar

Alexia B.

Yelp
A fun and unique cheesecake in MTL. I loved how squishy the cheesecake was but I was expecting it to be a bit bouncier or wiggly... It's hard to describe the cheesecake because it's definitely not traditional. Overall, I'd get the cheesecake again but I'd try to eat it right after you order so the cheesecake doesn't gain any more moisture. It's not something I'd wait an hour in line for but definitely try to make a stop if you've never had this style cheesecake before. The biscotti style cookies were nice as well.

Yelp
I went on the second day after opening. Man, there was a long line up-1 hr just to get up close and personal with the famous Uncle Tetsu bakery. This joint has been known since the 1940s, previously known as Hanajam in Japan that closed down to give birth to the new Uncle Tetsu franchise. (The cheesecake is originally invented from Hanajam). I was entertained to see this cute little shop. It was medium sized as you see 9-10 employees frantically at work baking cheesecakes. It was an art of its own seeing the cakes being made, the best part seeing the hot cast iron kiss the fluffy cheesecake to stamp the logo on it. The menu is simple: cheesecake 12$, biscottis-1.50$ (sold out), madeline cakes-$2.50. i don't get why it's selling the cake for 12$ when in cities like Toronto get it for 10$-truth be told they should price match other cities. Clients are only allowed to purchase 1 cheesecake for limited supplies. The packaging is cute and great! I tried the cheesecake warm (which was a weird texture) after trying it cold (as recommended to by another foodie) I like it a lot more! It tasted like actual cheesecake vs flan (warm). I definitely appreciate the cheesecake cold and now understand the hype. Welcome to Montreal Uncle Tetsu-you will be my birthday cake!

Yelp
I tried this recipe few times at home but once you taste uncle Tetsu japanese cheesecake, you realized that whatever you bake and thought it was delicious...you were very far. This cake is so creamy, fluffy and airy. The cheese flavor is well balanced. The bake only small batches which make them always fresh and hot out of the oven. Delicious treat to share.
google avatar

Tommy S.

Yelp
There are purportedly two reasons that make Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake special: quality ingredients and unique handmade baking process. I was curious to see what the hype was all about and I went one weekday at 2pm to give it a try. There was a short 5-minute lineup. Service was swift and courteous. The cheesecake was warm and fluffy, nothing like the dense, traditional version. I would describe it more of a spongecake with cheese and eggs. The texture is tender, and the taste is pleasant. All in all, I think Uncle Tetsu offers an adequate cheesecake. It is not worth waiting in line for it, and it is not worth 12$. If you happen to pass by, and there's no line up, it could be a great purchase to bring to a dinner party.
google avatar

Calvin S.

Yelp
I will always have a soft spot for Uncle Tetsu. Having had so many of their cheesecakes in Toronto, it's a welcome sight to see one in Montreal where I can order a cheesecake to take to my hotel. Walked in, and the first thing I noticed: Chocolate cheesecake Monday special!!! I immediately went for it and ordered two plus honey madeleines that came with the special. The cheesecakes were every bit as good as the ones in Toronto. Light and fluffy, just the way I like it. The madeleines packed a bit more flavour, but are also lighter than your typical cupcakes. After a filling meal, it's definitely a place I recommend stopping to buy for dessert. Just be aware that there's no seating inside; it's all takeout. I didn't have their regular cheesecake so I'm not sure if that was also as good as the ones in Toronto. I'll leave it at 4 stars for now, potentially upping it to 5 if the original cheesecake is on par with what I've previously tasted.

Yelp
We went as soon as the store opened to avoid the lines when we were in Montreal. I happened to be looking for dessert places and this place showed up and I LOVE Japanese cheesecake. Went to that side of town exclusively for this cheesecake since it had such high ratings. As soon as I walked in, I knew I wouldn't regret it. Everything was so cute and I was surprised at how cheap it was. Mind you, they are small. They were the size of my entire hand, and I don't have very big hands. BUT they are worth every penny regardless. I so wish I could have bought more than two.....but we were limited in bags so we bought one for us and one as a souvenir for a friend that also likes these. When I got back to the airbnb, my husband and I dug in.....and boy, did we....all of a sudden, we had gone through half of it without realizing it. I forced myself to stop so I'd have some to savor the next day. I almost went back for another one for ourselves..... When you look it, you probably think it'll have the texure and taste of a sponge cake because it does look spongy and because of how it jiggles, but trust me. Once you take a bite, it's one of the creamiest things you'll ever eat. It just melts in your mouth. It's amazing. And only I know how hard it was to decide to give the second one as a souvenir as planned OR keep it for ourselves......we did give it away....though it was sad
google avatar

Tram L.

Yelp
I finally came here myself as all the other times I've eaten the cheesecakes, someone else got them for me, and because I walked by randomly and there was no one in the line up. I guess the hype is over lol!!!! The space is cute, nothing crazy but it's nice. The bakers and cashier are very nice and polite, though if I may say so, seem quite serious. I like their cheesecake. It's Japanese style so it's fluffy and light-tasting unlike its American counterpart. The madeleine however, not so great. A bit stiff and dry and kinda leaves a greasy film on the tongue. I would come back for the cheesecake and maybe try the cheesetarts next time.
google avatar

Thierry O.

Yelp
We have Japanese style cheesecake in Montreal which is awesome! The place is designed to transport to a Japanese bakery. The customer service is great. Unfortunately, I did not really enjoy the cheesecake, the texture was unfamiliar to me and therefore through me off. I learned in this exploit I prefer more of a New York Style cheesecake. The madeleines were great though, the flavour and texture were something to desire. The experience overall was great and so for that deserved a high grade.
google avatar

Irene D.

Yelp
Omg I'm obsessed!!! I thought their cheesecake was overrated at first, but now that I've actually tried it, I get what the big hype was about. Definitely worth the line up. I had to force myself not to finish it in one sitting. The cake is so fluffy and light. I love how it's not too sweet (I'm not the biggest fan of sweet) and goes great with my morning coffee (not gonna lie, I had it for breakfast the next day). If you haven't tried it, I really recommend it and hopefully you'll love it as as I did. Now I need to try the chocolate one...
google avatar

Carin R.

Yelp
Mmmmmmmmmm and I could go on and on and on! Love that this cheesecake is more Spongecake with the taste of fluffy cheese! So dangerous because you could eat one just to yourself with a carton of milk . The matcha green tea version is good and different but I still prefer the original. I'll be headed to Toronto to get a few to avoid the Mtl Lineup

Yelp
Amazing Japanese cheesecake in the heart of downtown Montreal. Truly a hidden gem and a must try desert!

Yelp
Cheese cake is soooooo soft and heavenly!! For $12 it's great! It's really a delicious dessert and last a while in the fridge too. I've been here many times and the staff is always nice and pleasant.

Yelp
Finally got around to visit! Ordered a cheesecake from Uncle Tetsu and it was a solid introductory experience to Japanese style cheesecake. :) The cake is smaller than you expect it to be and is nearly packaged in a cute container. It's soft and the taste is more mellow from than traditional cheesecakes. Initially I wasn't too sure if I'd like it but by the 3rd slice I was addicted. The rest was scarfed down for breakfast. I'm going to revisit for sure and hoping I can make it on a Monday? night where they also have the chocolate cheesecake variety. I'll also want to try their little mandolin tea cakes, the small slice I ate was fab. I'm unsure why they'd only want to offer the chocolate cake once a week given how popular it would be with the locals. One thing I enjoyed was seeing the cheesecakes being prepared. The workers are meticulous. Getting a warm cake as you leave has to be one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. :)

Yelp
Good cake. Not good enough to justify waiting in line 90 minutes however. Awesomeness of the cake: 3/5 - it's good, not mindblowingly-so however. My expectations were so high it was impossible to meet them. Quality of the experience: 0/5 - it's just frustrating to wait so long for take out and then be disappointed with a cake that doesn't live up to the expectation. **Edit later on that evening: I gave this cake another try, to see if it would be better after cooling a bit. I really wanted to like this cake. It's definitely the fluffiest cake you'll ever have. But it's not tasty. The best way I can describe it is it tastes like a lukewarm fluffy omelette with a hint of cheese and sugar. It lacks that kick, that "oumf" that you get from a super awesome cheesecake. It's close, but not quite the ultimate perfect cheesecake that we all so desperately crave. It's very delicate and soft, the texture is delightful. It just lacks that little extra something.
google avatar

Helene C.

Yelp
After having this light and fluffy cheesecake, I don't think I can go back to the regular cheesecakes which feel dense and heavier. This is how all cheesecake should be! It's so light I can more of this. I am looking to try their other flavors as well.
google avatar

Quoc-Bao N.

Yelp
This is a small and homely shop. The Japanese cheesecake is very delicious. This place originally started in Toronto and we went to this Montreal location. Lines are usually either very short or none at all. The cake is very soft and light. Uncle Tetsu is definitely a place worth to try.

Yelp
The best cheesecake I ever had and one I can finally apreciate. I love the airy ,fluffy texture and the moderate sweetness. I ate half of it in one seating because of how good it was !

Yelp
Cute cake! Soft and light cheesecake! $12 for each, nice dessert! Really delicious ! But if you are a cheesecake lover, don't expect the tart or creamy as it's really different.

Thea V.

Yelp
To anyone complaining how it doesn't taste like regular cheesecake, it is called JAPANESE CHEESECAKE for a damn reason. Do some research. Anyways, I first discovered Uncle Tetsu a couple of years ago in Toronto and I fell in love. The Japanese cheesecake is very light , fluffy , melts in your mouth goodness. This thing is easy to eat! I can probably eat a whole cake in one sitting haha. Their honey madeleines are really good as well. Giving this place 4 stars because it is a little pricey in my opinion. In Montreal, A cheesecake is $12+ tax, whereas in Toronto they charge $10 taxes included. I get it, they have to produce boxes with French writing but cmon $2 more plus tax ? Hmmm questionable I was also really thrown off when I visited about a month ago(August 5 to be exact). I wanted something sweet so I thought why not pass by Uncle Tetsu and grab some madeleines. According to their website DURING that time, you do NOT have to line up nor are you limited in numbers purchased for madeleines. So I walked in , asked for 2 madeleines and was told I had to line up. I then showed them a screenshot of their website indicating you can simply just walk in for madeleines. They obviously disregarded this screenshot and I was told they do it differently in Quebec.(screenshots will be posted below) And yes, I ended up leaving. In my opinion, it is wildly absurd to line up for TWO madeleines. Fast forward to September 7, I was walking home and saw how short the line up was, I obviously took advantage of that lol. It took about 5 min to get to the cash register and I got my Japanese cheesecake, I asked the cashier if it was still mandatory to line up for madeleines. He was shocked and asked me when I last visited. He then told me that I was right and that you do NOT have to line up for their madeleines.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Mondays and Tuesdays they have the chocolate cheesecake, which you'll want to try. I think it best rides the line between sweet and light/airy. Most of the time there is only a person or two waiting before you, and only if a fresh batch of cheesecakes are due out within a few minutes. The biscottis and madeleines are also good, but I don't make a special trip for them alone - the real stand-outs are the cheesecakes.
google avatar

Dawei L.

Yelp
Long after the opening of the famous Uncle Tetsu in Montreal I've finaly gracious it with my presence . The cake: it's soft, it's simple, it's tasty, and most importantly its line is longer than getting on ride at Laronde in a Saturday afternoon. But it's all worth it! If it weren't for the calories and the marathon line, I would most likely eat those cheese cakes as breakfast everyday haha. If you haven't visited this place, do yourself a favor, gooooo. Be patient tho ;)
google avatar

Saida S.

Yelp
Finally tried it today and omygod i get the hype. Usually there's a long line but today it was quite short and went by super fast. The cashier was really nice and patient. Seeing the cheesecake being stamped with the logo is so satisfying. The cheesecake is fluffy , light and not too sweet. I dont like cheesecake but this one is a winner.
google avatar

Jayriopta P.

Yelp
this is probably one of the smoothesss cake ever its like ur in the cloud but is it worth it ??? for me i think is 8/10 jst for a small cake its not worth waiting for hours.
google avatar

Amy Yu T.

Yelp
The cheesecake is so moist, good and fluffy. I brought it to a Christmas party and we devoured it. I love this version of cheesecake because it is a lot more lighter and less sweet than a traditional cheesecake. I would come back again and again for one of these, no questions asked. These are my thoughts on Japanese cheesecake, and please note that it's a lot different than the OG traditional cheesecake.
google avatar

Leena K.

Yelp
Went there once, would go again! Such fluffy texture and generous amount of cake. They provided me a bag so I don't have to worry about carrying the box. Recommended to go with friends and family.
google avatar

We'am E.

Yelp
The cheese cake was average and not made fresh, kind of cold and crumbly. I'm a little disappointed
google avatar

Alex Catherine L.

Yelp
I was happy they finally opened one it montreal! It's such a simple treat and recipe but everything is in the texture and the balance of ingredients. It is not cheap, they don't need to pour sugar endlessly for it to taste good like any other places.
google avatar

Jacqueline N.

Yelp
Fun place, always with a line out the door! It is very enjoyable to watch the craftsmanship of the bakers and the smell is glorious! The cake itself is perfectly fluffy and moist and every detail from the stamp on the cake to the bags are lovely!

Yelp
The beauty of taking home an Uncle Tetsu chocolate cheesecake .For 12$ you get a portion you can either eat all on your own or share between 2-4 people .However, this flavour in particular was a bit disappointing knowing how good the original one is .This one lacked the magic of Uncle Tetsu and ended up tasting like chocolate mousse in the mouth .I think the problem is that the chocolate is a bit too heavy as an ingredient .Unless you're a chocolate lover.the original cheesecake is the way to go

Yelp
3 ovens churning out 12 cheesecakes priced $12 (compared to $10 in Ontario) every 45 minutes. Each pie could easily feed 4 to 6 people. Insufficient capacity causing endless line ups. A fluffy, tasteless egg scented mousse like product which just didn't do it for me. Some might like this style. It needs some cinnamon or something sprinkled on top to add flavour.

Yelp
Everything is perfect! Love it! What ever people called sponge cake or cotton cheese cake, taste is delicious.. If u don't like cheese, maybe u don't like it. Or u want to see the more chesse in bottom of cake..well, It's Japanese style not western style. The cheese mixt with better and eggs I guess... It's very light.. Melt on mouth... It's up to u!
