"As a permanent partner, Uncle Tito’s serves Filipino-American comfort food I recognize from the pandemic pop-up days, including popular boan boxes, silog specials, wontons, and ube buns that bleed purple for dessert." - Becky Duffett

We came to uncle Tito’s from out of town and we were blown away by how good the food was. It was honestly the best Mexican food I’ve had. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sola was our waitress and she was such a sweetheart and very bubbly. She suggested the blueberry Margarita so we ordered the pitcher and it was very refreshing. You’ll get so much food your money plus excellent service. Thank you so much for a great experience!

My fiance and I just moved to akron very recently and wanted to try this place out. Absolutley amazing!! The food and atmosphere and service were all super awesome! Will be back!

Google
I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants in my lifetime, and Uncle Tito's is definitely a favorite!!! Oscar and the servers met all of our large party's needs. Highly recommend the spinach cheese dip. The meals I've had both times were super fresh and full of flavor. There are plenty of mixed drinks to choose from, and they even have specialty tequila they get from Mexico that is super smooth. Can't wait to go back 😊

Google
We were a party of eight and everybody loved their food ! We are from out of town. It’s nice to find someplace with great food. service also was excellent.

Google
Very friendly from the greeting at the door to the waitress that never stopped smiling. Food was excellent (Pauls Burrito), arrived quickly and hot. At the end of our meal it started to rain moderately, just trying to be funny I asked the waitress if she would pull my truck up to the door for me, she instantly snatched the keys out of my hand and ran out into the rain and pulled my truck up. I was shocked and still laughing. She is crazier than me. I didn't get her name but the receipt says server #8. Very fun experience.

Google
I got Burrito "El Farmer" AMAZING... She got California burrito also amazing. Pretty big fresh and full of flavor... only thing is if you get it to go, get extra salsa...

Todd K.

Google
Pretty average food quality. There is an expansive menu with a lot of choices but in the end it seems like the same ingredients and preparation style as all of the run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurants in the area. Like most mediocre places, there was a steady stream of patrons on a Friday evening. Most tables ordering alcohol, which is what most Mexican restaurants are known for.

Google
I lived 18 years in Latin America and I have to say Tio Tito's just nailed the ambience, the food and the friendliness. The food is the real thing, the portions are very satisfying and not expensive, the ambience is bustling like a real cantina. The service is super friendly and fast, and I love that they are willing to speak Spanish with me as I fear I will lose it if I don't practice - not something that common States-side. I don't live in Akron, I come from CT a few weeks every few months and my colleagues now bet how many times I will go there during my stays. The answer is easy: not enough.

Yelp
Always the best service and food around Akron. This is our one and only choice for Mexican.

Yelp
Still waiting. We waited 15 minutes for a table. 5 minutes before being acknowledges for drinks. Another 15 minutes before order was taken and we have been waiting almost 30 minutes at this point for our food. Two manger type guys have stopped by saying our food was almost done. This was over 10 minutes ago. Such a disappointment Update... food came out and was all ice cold. When mentioned to the manager he questioned it. The plates weren't event warm. The excuse was there were numerous big parties. No offer to compensate. No offer to remake. I have never walked out of a restaurant until tonight

Yelp
Stopped in for a gift certificate and the staff was so nice!! The restaurant smelled amazing and can't wait to stop in for dinner my only negative connect is the restaurant is not we'll lot and I passed the parking lot but now I know where it is for next time!!
google avatar

Yelp
As always. AMAZING!!! I had my favorite dish Chori Pollo. It has chorizo and chicken with roasted broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers and cheese. It also comes with refried beans, rice and lettuce. I use corn tortillas but it comes with flour. We started our dinner with potato and cheese flautas. I used the guacamole for my dip. We couldn't pass up sharing dessert of Basque Cheesecake. Sooo tasty. Great service with an authentic Mexican flare.

Yelp
Food was not up to par and was not happy with the service and the drinks were flat and I'm just not happy and will not be returning
google avatar

Annette H.

Yelp
Got sick after their takeout. However my husband did not. Who knows...,,,,, My family like it there I'm just a bit scares of it. I like the floaters they put in the drinks. I like their drinks and how close to home it is.

Quinn P.

Yelp
Great service and the food was delicious!! Fair warning, we came in on a Friday at 6pm so it was of course busy but our server was GREAT and the food was AWESOME. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 10/10

Whitney A.

Yelp
Waited over an hour for a burrito and it was cold, super disappointing. The waiter and environment were nice but a huge let down. I went around 6:30 pm on Friday.
google avatar

Evan H.

Yelp
The people here are amazing and you will definitely enjoy any entree you order. Their prices are very reasonable and you're going to get great service. Definitely a place that I will be coming back to in the near future.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food. Meat could have been seasoned more "Mexican" for my taste. Service was OK. Price is good. We were there for lunch.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been here. The food has been decent enough both times, but today when I went for lunch they were slooooooooow. The place was not that busy for a Friday at 1pm. The service took forever. Forever to get the order in. Forever for refills. We were there about 75-80 minutes and half that time was waiting for various things. I don't think I'll be back. Plenty of better options for Mexican food elsewhere.

Yelp
This is a hard review for me because it was SO good. But I had to take one star off due to there being what looked like a beard hair in my chimichanga. I realize that sometimes things happen. It doesn't take away how good all the rest of the food was but when I found the hair, it completely turned me off from the rest of my meal. I didn't want it remade, I was just over it at that point. Now on to the review: Atmosphere: the atmosphere was very lively, fun and vibrant. Everyone seemed to be having a great time! It was pretty busy and for good reason. Food: my fiancé got the Paul Burrito and she absolutely loved it. I loved it too because I tried a few bites of hers. It was PACKED with flavor and perfectly cooked. The chorizo was a BLAST of flavor and probably the best chorizo I have ever had. I got the two chimichangas. They were excellent at first. Until I found the hair. The waiter took the dish and the hair away and took it off our bill and also took half of our margarita pitcher off. Very nice of him and he was very apologetic and asked if I wanted it remade which I didn't cause I was just too turned off. But overall, the food was delicious and we would absolutely give it another shot.

Yelp
Great Food! Great Service! Best Margarita in a long long time! Food was served hot.. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good quality food

Yelp
My fiancée and I happened to be in the area and were starving. We accidentally drove by this place and decided to place a carryout order. The business wasn't open at the moment but we were able to place the order online. They opened at 11am and around 11:10, we went inside. Upon entering, I have to say, this was no different in appearance than most "Mexican" restaurants; a bit dingy and gloomy. There are probably 10, or so, booths and a small bar. We were greeted promptly and the staff appeared friendly. Our order was ready a couple minutes after entering and we headed back to our car to eat. Let me preface that I lived in the border of Mexican for about two years, in Arizona, and stayed in Southern Mexico for a couple months in a non-tourist location. Most of what we, "gringos," consider "Mexican" food is just an Americanized version, such as the popular queso dip. Out of all of the Mexican restaurants that I have been to in Ohio, where I've spent the large majority of 42 years, I have to say that this is without a doubt the best food I've had. Also, the portions were huge and not COVID-price-gauged! While it is about a 40-minute drive for me, I would totally make the drive just for their food. As the saying goes, "Don't judge a book by its cover."

Yelp
Had the chicken and steak fajita nachos! So good! Yum yum. Big portion sizes. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
We have lunch here every Friday. It's always the best....fast and fresh. I've come multiple times a week before and was never disappointed. We came in for a birthday party with 13 people and the food was just as fast as when we come in with two.
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
We haven't ate at the restaurant in a while because of COVID but have ordered take out a bunch, there was like a month and a half we got it every Tuesday and never disappointed. I usually go for a enchilada combo who's is always good but this time went with the Paul Burrito which has chicken and beef in the burrito and covered with melted cheese and chopped chorizo and grilled shrimp. This thing was killer. Togo margaritas and Mexican beer as well. Great staff as well.
google avatar

Yelp
I was visiting from California and my niece and nephew suggested Uncle Tito's for dinner. Now I understand why this is their favorite place. From the moment we walked through the doors the staff was welcoming and the service was excellent. I don't like to stray from my usual quesadilla, but I tried it fajita style with broccoli. It was fantastic and paired well with the freshly made margarita. No bottled mix in this one. So good. Let's just say, the next time I'm in town UTMG will be a definite stop. This time, it will be my treat.

Yelp
Food is typical TexMex. Not bad at all. Service is absolutely terrible. I live close enough to walk there and only go if it's someone else's idea. They have a nice bar area, but if you go and they ask you to eat upstairs, tell them no and wait for a better table. The upstairs area is cramped, loud, and feels like you're dining in someone's attics. Two stars because the food is decent. Everything else about the experience needs a lot of attention.

Rose T.

Yelp
To go order placed at the new Mogadore location. Margarita steak and chicken tacos pico and guacamole. Even the French fries were good! Fast prompt service. Def going back to dine in. Thank you Uncle Titos!
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
This place is so good!! We had our food to-go and it was as good as ever! We called our order ahead of time and we were given a number to give when we showed up to pick up the order. The portions are plentiful and flavors are excellent! Support local!!

Yelp
I've been seeing a ton of people raving about Uncle Tito's takeout during the COVID-19 lockdown. I'd been craving tacos so we decided to check it out. We couldn't get through on the phone because they are so busy (a good sign) so we ordered curbside. For $25 we got enough food for 10 tacos, rice, beans, an overstuffed bag of fresh tortilla chips & salsa. The chips and salsa were immediately mine. My husband & son think chips and salsa are just ok. They were delicious. The tacos were great. I do wish there was just a bit more rice & beans but there was definitely a feast. I ended up having taco salad for lunch today. We'll definitely be going back. The guys running orders were outstanding. Quick, friendly & the parking lot had a very steady flow. Popular spot for sure. Ok, so it's Cinco de Mayo. UncleTito's parking lot was packed. I ordered this afternoon because being from California. I just know not to wait. I actually would have ordered yesterday but got busy working. So we got there and the parking lot was packed. People waiting on orders and people trying to order along with staff trying to make sure they get everyone's orders fulfilled correctly & quickly. It was a 2 hour wait if you hadn't ordered ahead. People couldn't get though on the phones because this place is so popular. We waited an additional 90 minutes to get our food but most customers were patient and understanding. There were a couple that were unhappy but I reminded them that on Cinco de Mayo, we'd normally be waiting in the same line for a table. The staff did an outstanding job considering there were probably over 100 people waiting at a time. Since they have likely not served 100% to go during a pandemic, I think they did a great job! We'll be back. Oh& the frozen margaritas were amazingly buzzworthy!

Yelp
Uncle Tito's is in a strip mall type plaza but definitely not strip mall type food. Some places the chicken and beef seem like they are boiled with no seasoning and watered down but not here, the meat is flavorful and juicy and the service is fast. Thursday's they have large margaritas frozen or on the rocks for $6.99 and they are delicious.

Kathie H.

Yelp
Food only ok!! Nothing like Mexican food out west for sure... I had hard taco, how can you mess it up? Easy put yukie cheese on it!! What a shame... had a margarita in a BALL canning jar??? What the heck I know it's Ohio but come on!!!!! Really !!! Service is quick waiter was only ok, after questioning the BALL jar he was a little nicer.. some kinda charge on our bill they said was a extra tax ??? What does that mean??? Not going back just wasn't like it used to be there,,,sorry to say. We were early for dinner plus freezing cold in there had to get my coat and blanket from the car!
google avatar

Karen R.

Yelp
We've been here twice now and everything is very consistent. The margaritas are the real deal, no yucky sour mix. It's made from scratch. For food, I always get the carnitas dinner which is amazing and full of flavor. My hubby usually sticks to the burritos and all have been delicious. The portions are very plentiful so don't fill up on the endless supply of chips and salsa. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the surrounding area.
google avatar

Blane W.

Yelp
Great Mexican food and reasonable prices. Service is also quick and the servers are friendly. Now serving you great Mexican food at 2 locations.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
It's all a 10 for me. I come here just for margs sometimes. It's consistent every time and you will not beat the service and hospitality. I have never had a snotty server and they remember the people that take care of them!
google avatar

Kay H.

Yelp
This place is great. I always get the best service and if you ask for the best margaritas they will hook you up with the authentic tasting freshness. Not that nasty syrup stuff that Azteca gives you.

Yelp
Looking for dinner one evening while in Akron, OH - I consulted the Yelp app on my iPhone - and found the highly rated Uncle Tito's! It was a very cold Thursday night - about 7:30 pm. The place was not overly busy - I was shown to a booth. I ordered a Burrito stuffed with ground beef and a side of Chorizo Con Queso and water. They brought out a basket of chips and a side of salsa. The chips were toasty warm. The food came out fairly quickly and was hot and tasty. I loved the Chorizo Con Queso - to which I added a bit of their Habanero sauce to it to kick the heat up! Then I slathered a bit of the Chorizo Con Queso over the top of my Burrito. The service was excellent - my server checked on me several times. BTW - the door stickers for credit cards - don't include an Amex logo - but they do accept American Express - I asked and that is what I used to pay the bill. #UncleTitosMexicanGrill

Yelp
So my journey for good Mexican food continues. Fortunately my path took me to Uncle Tito's. This is in a strip mall and looks small when you first arrive. But it is huge and two stories in the inside. We were seated right away and the staff was very welcoming. For the food, we started with Potato Taquitos. I was intrigued. Good call. So if you are looking for something different, give this a try. Margarita, check. Wet, cold and tasty. Three sizes and all well priced (5-7) bucks. I when for the enchiladas rancheros. Three cheese enchiladas covered with roasted pork and homemade enchilada sauce. Comes with rice and guacamole salad. Fan tasting. See my photo. Wife went with chicken fajitas. Excellent. We split a desert. So, the starter, margarita, Pepsi, two huge mains and a desert for less then $44.00 (not including tip). And the food was some of the best I have had in a long while. Worth the 20 mile road trip.

Joshua R.

Yelp
Wow this place is basically 5 stars I would for sure given it a 4.5 out of 5 is that was an option. The service was swift and my gosh the food came out literally in under 10 min which surprised me. The reason I don't give it a 5 is the drink I had was basically water instead of what I ordered. Good job the I highly recommend this Place!!!!

David W.

Yelp
Mediocre and bland TexMex food. Not impressed by much of anything here, and I've given several chances. Food itself seems to be lower quality, service is ok, but portion sizes often range from visit to visit so you never know how much you're getting. Giving 2 stars because I've never had a "BAD" visit, but if you're looking for world class authentic Mexican food? This ain't it if you ask me.

Richard D.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant. We have tried several Mexican restaurants in the area. I would say this the best. We had a meeting with 10 people. Their service was outstanding, pricing was fine, selection of food was outstanding, I ordered one of their Fahitas. The serving was adequate and the mixture of meat and vegetables was more than adequate. Even that we live in Stow.. we would to the other side of town to eat at this restaurant.
google avatar

Tim N.

Yelp
Best americanized Mexican food in Mogadore! We go here like every other week. Great food and great service!
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
This is one of those places you can't really see from the road and just looks like another strip mall place to eat. However, that is not the case at all. I first went here with a group of friends and even though it was busy we were seated right away. Speaking of which they are always busy - however isn't that generally the mark of great food?! They have these cool upstairs dining areas that make the experience and ambiance even better. We had margaritas that were amazing followed by a meal that was full of flavor and cooked to each of our particular tastes. I have been back several times and have even ordered take out a time or 2 since. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a fun dining experience with great food, atmosphere, and friendly waitstaff.

Che Ste P.

Yelp
Their fresh Margaritas are the best!! Fresh fruit juice and no mixer. Generous pour over an inverted half lime. So good! Food is wonderful! Menu choices to accommodate all diets. Carnitas with Green Sauce, Carnita Asada, and Huevos Rancheros are family favorites. Thin, super crisp chips. Salsa and refried beans are well seasoned. Food is consistently good from visit to visit. Servers are friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Patricia and Erickson who encourage my attempts to converse in Spanish with patience and good humor. They are the best! Plenty of parking in a well-lit lot. For those unfamiliar with the area, this was the old Gala Drive-in Theater, across from Springfield Lake. Uncle Tito's has become our favorite!

Yelp
Stopped in to order a to-go meal on Sat., April 29th. Nobody was at the front desk but eventually a young lady came out. Not the greatest welcome from her. She was too busy writing or texting something. May have been business, but I was standing right there with questions, as I had never eaten there before. Asked her for a to-go menu...no, they don't have them. Asked her for a regular menu then. It was greasy and dirty. (You need to clean your menus. It's gross.) Decided on two soft chicken taco supremes and an order of beans. I asked if they include some chips and salsa, which they do. The salsa was in a tiny souffle cup (the size that Taco Bell puts your side of jalapenos in), which a chip would never fit in if you wanted to dip it. It was more like a sample taste. Never have I seen a restaurant so cheap as to not give you, at least, a 4 ounce to go container for the salsa. I mean, if I were dining in, I believe you would have been much more generous with the salsa, right?? The tacos were wrapped in a bundle that looked unappealing...maybe you could wrap them individually instead of wrapping them smashed together in a wad of two. Anyway, they looked pretty small so I told the girl I would pay the difference and get an additional taco. After trying the food, here are my thoughts. The shredded chicken was WAY too salty. (I'm used to El Rincon's and their shredded chicken is so tasty without being salty. Cooked with onion and green pepper throughout and it's delicious.) I expected to get some cheese on the tacos, too, and did not see any evidence of it. The beans were okay...nothing special, but edible. The salsa (what little I had to taste) was just okay, but nothing I'd ever crave like I do salsas made at a couple other Mexican restaurants in the area. I used to read good things about the food here, but never had come in to try it. So, based on this meal and experience, I don't believe I need to try it again. Plenty of other places to choose from in the area.

Michelle B.

Yelp
The food was super fresh and flavorful! I recommend the "fresh margaritas and chili con queso to start. If you enjoy seafood then get the Parrillada! Huge scallops and shrimp with Smokey bacon on top! The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food that you receive!

Allyssa W.

Yelp
Delicious food, always super fast, and always such a high energy place! love it here!
google avatar

George C.

Yelp
Uncle Tito's was excellent. The staff is very helpful and attentive. Even with special orders on how to make drinks. The food was excellent and came out fast and hot. This is a hidden gem. It's busy, hut definitely worth it! Very great place to hold a board committee meeting! Definitely will be back soon!
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
I recently ordered one of their beef burritos with sides of refried beans and rice with included chips and salsa and a sweet tea. Next, I ordered one of their chicken burritos with chips and salsa. It was all delicious. Kind, courteous, professional workers. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
Tons of great reviews but it's just a huge place with typical mediocre Tex-Mex food. I was in the mood for a quick, inexpensive lunch, and there was a wait at my usual salad bar, so I figured I'd try the tacos here. Plain ground beef in crunchy shells with shredded lettuce and cheese. ZERO seasoning. None whatsoever. The kind of meal where the whole time you're eating it, instead of enjoying it you're thinking, "I wish I'd thought this through." Or, "I wish I'd've just waited for a table and had a salad." Or, really, "I know better, dammit. I should've gone to La Loma."
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
We used to order from here a lot, but stopped when the food started getting pretty bland, we delved in again hoping things had changed based on the outstanding reviews. I got Fajita's Tejanas or Texas Fajita's, a mix of steak, chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was great, the steak would have made a wonderful boot or shoe and the chicken, well, it was strips of white stuff. Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, it was quite a let down. Canned refried beans didn't help, the rice was flavorless as well. We also got a enchilada that had an oven accident, it was so hard it was inedible, the soft taco and tostada were equally tasteless. I really really suspect they just forgot to complete the cooking and seasoning. We tossed the chips, again, tasteless, no salt and stale. I'm so sad, this place used to be great, not sure if COVID has affected it, but it's gone too far down to try again. As a PS, we were going to try the Mogadore location, but the number listed did not ring through, said it was disconnected. So many red flags, I'm sure we're in the minority, but so be it.
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
The reason I'm only giving 2 stars is because I hate when someone tries getting over on me. I order the Titos Enchiladas which the menu described as having Shrimp and imitation crab meat. After eating one Enchilada I noticed something missing so I opened the other two and found that they only contained imitation crab meat, zero shrimp. When I brought it to the waiters attention he gave me a B.S. story about the shrimp being mixed in there, sounded like a story that they've told before. Sorry but I know imitation crab meat and shrimp. Wasn't a piece of shrimp in there. BEWARE not a trustworthy establishment.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meals. Jumbo margaritas were great. The pork fajitas were delicious, especially the bacon on them. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food, Chile con Queso , Margaritas, and Margaronas in Northeast Ohio! The place is always packed for dinner. Cinco Stars!!!!! We go there for birthdays, celebrations, and for date night! Staff is super friendly and the food is fantastic!
google avatar

Tom E.

Yelp
Uncle Titos has an enormous menu. They have that going for them. I wanted to order something unique but then how would I judge them against every other Tres Pot or El Campesino of northeast Ohio. So I ordered my staple - and it was just as OK as most other fast food type place that serves "traditional" mexican dishes. Maybe next time I'll try one of the "specials" and update this review. It was good enough for a second whack at it.

Debbie S.

Yelp
This is best place for those on a budget but hungry like a bear. Ordered nacho supreme and when I say it was huge it was bigger then the plate wide. Service was fantastic and served with a smile. Love this restaurant.

Crystal E.

Yelp
Started ordering takeout from this place during COVID shutdowns. Their Family Taco Boxes to go are great and a great deal of food for what they cost.
