This whimsical, music-playing fountain anchors a legacy downtown park and is free to splash during summer season. The city posts current hours; local magazines often shout it out as a family favorite near shops and galleries.

Really nice place to bring kids during a hot day. They love the water and go crazy. I think it's a bit weird that they chlorinated fountain water, but whatever. There's also a playground here, and shady benches for the adults. There are lots of cafes and restaurants around as well. The park usually has a handful of homeless people, but most of them are friendly and keep to themselves -- not anything to worry about.

I'm old but when I strip down to my shorts and play in this fountain, I'm 8 years old. he he Kids running all around laughing. Everyone splashing water on each other. Omg it's great!

Neat experience. We didn't get into the water but watched and were entertained.

This little park is so quaint with a stage for live performances.

Great place to cool off real quick as long as you can find some parking!

Fun stop for the kids on a hot day. It might be small but the smiles are big and the park is close for water breaks. Shopping and food is near by. If you are hungry check out Poor Richards just a block north.

Fun place for kids to cool off and play. Walking distance from local coffee shops, ice cream, etc. Very little shade. Benches and playground structures nearby get very hot in the sun. There are always several transients sleeping or otherwise congregating in the park. Typically they keep to themselves and we've never had any safety issues.

The fountain itself was pretty cool, however, the employees were pretty uninterested in getting it up and running on time, we had to go and ask them to start it at 12:30 or so, and were told from another mom who was there with her kid that it was pretty normal for it not to start on time or without asking them to start it. The large amount of homeless people throwing trash and vomiting on the sidewalk made it less than desirable to stay for long, especially with young kids, one of them was basically taking a shower in the fountain so we ended up leaving. First time visit and I can't say I'd want to come back due to the homeless people with no one around to remove them from the premises.
