I had my engagement party at Uncorked, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Lisa is an absolute gem—not only does she craft amazing drinks, but she also has a real talent for setting up and creating the most incredible party atmosphere. Her attention to detail and warm, welcoming vibe truly made the night unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue where you can relax, celebrate, and feel completely taken care of, Uncorked is the place to be. Thank you, Lisa and Mark, for making our day so special!

I came in randomly to relax and go over some plans. The lounge is laid back and it’s ambiance it’s sophisticated and elegant. It had great music and I was able to sit back and ponder to myself without any bother at all. They have bottles of wine and liquor around the front part of the lounge where you can purchase them instead of drinking at the location. The staff is friendly and great customer service. Unfortunately they don’t serve food but are willing to accommodate to you and have the cafe next door bring you food if you want. I denied the friendly gesture and they gave me some pretzels to munch on. I recommend this lounge if you want to enjoy a glass of wine and relax.

Went to a retirement party here. The place was awesome, they were very accommodating with a large party. Staff was friendly and service was wonderful with all the drinks we ordered. Would highly recommend this place for somewhere to have a small gathering.

This place is a hidden gem 💎 The staff is super friendly. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door with a smile and warm vibes, making it feel just like home. The bartender Gabby makes the best drinks. She is super creative, fun and went above & beyond making me and the girls our drinks. This place is spotless in addition to be being beautiful inside. The girls & I can’t wait to go back 🩷

Under new management now. Same owners but great new management. I've read some bad reviews about old management but they are gone now. Lisa and Gabby are fantastic. They have made the place so much better and constantly making improvements. I highly recommend this place. Check it out if you haven't been here lately. I think you will enjoy it. It's a fun place.

After many conversations over a couple months about having up to 30 people gather for a work holiday party, what was promised was not delivered. We said we would pay $150 per bar tender thinking we would have our own for our group, come to find out the bartenders were for anyone in the lounge. Although they didn’t make us pay for the bartender, we wanted our own. We arranged 6p-10p for our group to come and go yet the Manager was angry that she wasn’t making enough $ when not all our people arrived by 6pm. What infuriated me the most which made me write this terrible review was I asked the DJ to lower the music for 30 seconds so I could tell my staff how much I appreciate their hard work over the year. The Manager went over to the DJ with attitude and told him to put the music back on - while I was talking. So rude. Won’t be going back there.

Came here for a friends baby shower and loved the inside!!! Bartender was great and super attentive, got speakeasy vibes from this place. Definitely wanna check it out and see how it looks during evening hours!

It's ok. It's very overpriced for the pour and every time I've come the servers aren't around and the bartenders seem to be in their own realm only paying attention to the older men there; usually with their much younger companions. I'd say this is a decent place to go if you need a discreet ambiance and don't want a ton of lighting.

It's a club, not a lounge. And I would say it has a New Jersey ambiance not a Manhattan one. I left almost immediately. If it were advertised as a club I wouldn't have gone in the first place. However, if that's your thing, and you're 50s +, then that's the place. The one positive thing is that you could sit outside.

Loved this atmosphere! It was so fun to be there while others were celebrating. The waitress was super inviting and explained how the restaurant worked. We were so glad to see that they only serve drinks and wines. The menu was not large but the waitress was happy to help us with our choices. There are no food options but you can bring your own charcuterie board. They had a live DJ and it was so fun to see people dancing and having a good time.

Met up with 6 other ladies on a Friday night at 7 pm. By the time I got there, the place was already filling up quickly. Within the next two hours, the place was PACKED. Very nice ambiance. Cute place with bookshelf wall, tables, good lighting. OH...THE DJ, that night played to his customers, which was very a diverse crowd of ages and ethnicity. He played rock, r&B, reggae, pop, house, reggaetón, salsa...he played it ALL!! Drinks - half and half.. some of the ladies loved their drinks, some felt it wasnt strong enough. Our waitress Amanda (purple hair) did her best with so many people there. I will definitely come back to this place. I love the vibes! Really great place to chill, have a drink and listen to great music...as long as they have the same DJ. Note, this spot does not serve food. But I did see a few people having parties there and their food appeared to catered.

Such a great place! I am lucky enough to work in the same shopping plaza so it's nice to have a more upscale little wine bar right there! It reminds me of an old library and it had had a beautiful piano when you walk in they have some great mixed drinks that overall are not badly priced a d they have a nice wine selection. The staff seems nice and I suggest it for a ladies night out! You can bring food in as well

It is strictly wine/cocktail bar. No food except for snacks. Good drinks menu. Staff was very pleasant and recommended next door restaurant for take out, so we ordered and brought it in. Also had to borrow cutlery))). We would have appreciated a simple charcuterie board. Service was on a slower side. Nice place to sit, have a drink and talk with friends after a workday. Gives old library vibes, however, there was a party, so music got loud to the point it was difficult to talk - ambiance did not match))) 3+

Great place. Awesome vibe. Gets busy for music outside which is a real treat and something no one does in the area. Also serves cocktails and wine to the cafe next door and Nicola's Italian Staff is lively Drinks are on point and dressed for a night out. Come and check out. Say hi to Debbie for me!

Was an invite to sit in a Chrustmas party 12/16/21,. Table was tough as DJ/singer speaker only 8 feet away. So talking is screaming in your ear. But that's not the place. Tiny bar with lots of people means long lines. Even longer when 3 of the 4 women behind it are ignoring the customers. Dont know about the nosh snacks. $10 glasses of box wine is a but pricey. The library like decor is pretty cool I have to admit. Probably the only thing special about this place. Bottom line...its OK. Not a destination, only a while in the area kind of place. I was from Bergen County so probably not again.

Ambiance is beautiful. That said, the managers and some bartenders (not the real owners because the management are not the owners) favor customers who act like they own the place. Inmates running the asylum? Now an early morning bar fight in this establishment is not a good thing. Especially when cops are being called. We like this place, but I'm sure the owners wouldn't want these 'regulars' engaging in bar fights. Hearing what happened this weekend at a place a good man owns upset a lot of people. This was never a local blood bath. Let's get back to business before losing real customers that spend money and enjoy themselves without the riff raff.

What a great place to stop by to enjoy a great drink, stress free, best company, service and music. I have to say, I've found a place to enjoy after work or during work (if self employed) and relax at least an hour. Yes, this is the library, living room in your home you wish to sit down and relax and enjoy a drink... dedicated to you :) I hope you also enjoy!

Heard about this place from NJ friends and came in on a Saturday night. This wine bar is set up as a library displaying books and bottles of wine with high top tables along the front half of the bar. The back of the lounge has a small bar and more high tops and lounge couches to sit and have drinks. They have a calendar of live music events and the night we attended they had "Eric" who played with his wife. They played classic soul that began with Crooner music and ended with Luther Vandross and Barry white and were AMAZING!!!! I heard that the night before they had 2 folk singer songwriters that played classic rock from the 60's and that the next day Sunday they would have a salsa music brunch which shows the variety of entertainers that they expose their clientele to. This is not a restaurant. It is a wine bar and lounge. They offer a small bar menu with cheese platters and other limited finger foods. The cocktail drinks are adequate and the Malbec I had was above average and a generous pour. The place was full and happening. Everyone was either singing or dancing and having a good time. The cheese platter we ordered was a typical platter and good to share. The service was a little lacking since they were slightly understaffed for such a big crowd. The lounge is very attractive with stone walls and an antique tin ceiling at the back by the bar. It was a bit loud which was to be expected with live music and a large crowd. We had a great time and plan to return. This is a good place to stop after dinner and unwind and listen to some good music and have drinks. The average age of the crowd was around mid 50's. The crowd ranged from anywhere in the early 30's to late 60's. All in all, it was a good find and wish there were more places like this to just come and have a good time.

I have been to Uncorked many times and always enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. It's great to have BYO restaurants on either side where you can grab dinner before and then extend your night at Uncorked. This past weekend I threw a birthday party there for my boyfriend. Kate & her staff were very attentive to me, him & all our guests. I also ordered a beautiful charcuterie board from them that we received many compliments from them. Definitely recommend.

Stopped by after a massage to have a good chat with a close friend. The wines (both by the bottle and glass) are severely overpriced as a quick Google price check will tell you. The lounge itself is attractive with a bar section, a couple of tables and a large area with some couches and loveseats, but overall is not a place I would bring a large party. Happy hour prices are more manageable and they do have a Ladies' Night (believe it's Thursday) where there are additional discounts for those of the female persuasion. A good option if you want to meet up with a friend over drinks and don't mind paying a premium for a classy lounge setting in the middle of an otherwise unremarkable strip mall in Totowa.

I came here on a Saturday night and ordered mixed drinks with my husband. They were both quite terrible. The bartender was nice and once he realized I was not drinking the drink he prepared he remade it for me. However he still didn't get it right. The bar was very quiet and other than myself and my husband there was only four people in the place on a Saturday night. That in and of itself didn't bother me as much as the drinks did. Perhaps if we come back we will stick to wine!

We used to be regulars at Uncorked when it first opened. After agreeing with some of the negative reviews left here over the past couple years, I'm happy to say that Uncorked is back and booming!! We decided to stop by last Saturday after hearing that new management recently took over the place. What a turnaround from the last time we were there. There was a lively crowd, a great selection of cocktails, wines, and martinis. The two bartenders were fantastic, friendly, and were excited to custom make me a drink tailored to what I like. There was no entertainment that evening but we will certainly be back on a night they have something going on. The new management is certainly doing a fine job. Keep it up!

Very classy establishment with some good wine. It's located in a small shopping center so I imagine it being tough finding parking at times. My boyfriend and I came here for his brothers surprise 30th birthday. There's 2 large rooms with couches and tables you can sit back, relax, chat, and drink lots of wine! The bartenders were all friendly and accommodating. There were around 20 of us there and we had plenty of room! It's cute for a date night or girls night out!

I have never left a review before, but in this case I felt the need to do so. My name is Kayla and I am a musician. I have been on this journey for a long time (23 years to be exact) and I've played hundreds of shows in my lifetime. I have never been so disrespected by a "venue" in my ENTIRE life. After traveling from CT, an hour and 40 minutes away, we were told to go home because they didn't get any customers. They were aware that this is my full time job and couldn't care less about wasting my time or my band mates. I am asking you, if you love music, please do NOT support this place. It was a very upsetting a degrading experience for us in an already challenging industry. They do not care about music.

I've been coming to Uncorked since the fall, 2019 and what a great find it was! Great relaxing atmosphere, entertainment, and bartenders, they are really on-point! I always have a really nice time here and can't wait for the SUPERBOWL tonight, going to be a blast!!! YIPPEE!!!

I was invited to a private event (an LGTBQ event) with some friends. While waiting to be served, the owner/bartender came over and asked if we had ordered a bottle. We replied, "no, we are waiting to be served." She then replied, "This is a private event." We then replied, "we are here with this group over there on the other side of the bar." At this point, she said " This event is for women only." As a member of the LGBTQ community, I'm thrown by the fact that inclusivity was totally disregarded by the owner of this business. We were unaware that this may have been a bi weekly "ladies only event" but regardless, it's 2020 and standing together is essential In times like these. For patrons at the event to comment about the owner not serving us, shows the blatant disregard for the community that are supporting your local business. The people paying for the event (should they be anyone but the bar owner), have the right to invite whom ever they like regardless of gender. I will NOT be return the Uncorked EVER. #allgaysmatter

I have drank here several times and spent a lot of money here while eating a nearby restaurant. My party and I spent easily 150 dollars tonight and were accused of not ordering enough drinks as well as being asked to leave because we didn't have drinks at our table. That is a complete spit in the face when you had just spent so much money somewhere. That is the last time we drink there and last time I will ever recommend someone to this place. Extremely dissatisfied.

This beautiful lounge is a wonderful place for friends to meet. dance, drink and talk. Even better, a place to make new friends. Under new management since the fall of 2019, the staff and regulars are setting the stage for memorable social experiences for everyone. Occasional private parties appear to be non exclusive, enjoying those patrons on a like mission.....to have a good time! Live music, comedy, pianists, the fabulous sounds of their resident DJ ...all invite a rockin party ! The staff are always open for new ideas for events and shows so let them know !! Uncork a bottle or have a shaken martini. There is something for every one. I try to come to town every few weeks, as I live at the Jersey Shore and this is a place unlike anywhere I have gone in a while. The staff is great , the atmosphere is upscale comfort and there is always something to eat. !I recommend Uncorked for a night out with friends, new and old! . .

Went here last night before going to dinner. Great selection of wine and liquor. Friendly staff and bartenders. Nice atmosphere and the entertainment was excellent. I will definitely be coming back soon. They seem to have a lot of entertainment lined up which is exciting to see.

As part of the LGBT community, a local LGBT-owned business would be great. However, Uncorked isn't truly inclusive as they may want you to feel. We (3 gay friends w/ 2 lesbian friends) were asked to leave because it was a "private party" to which we were invited. Our female friends could stay, tho. 2 patrons at the bar even commented about us being asked to leave. (Not hAppy).

Rude rude rude. Went to uncorked on Sunday "For a private event" invited by a friend to it! So even as part of the LGBT community, there with friends, I was told (by the owner) that no men were allowed! Customers at the bar were just as turned off. They even commented. Just Like that. NO MEN ALLOWED when invited by my friend. This is disappointing and disrespectful to a community that works hard at being inclusive! WILL NEVER GO BACK.

My first time there last night which offered the perfect date-nightb setting. I plan to return again tomorrow night. Such a great new find!

What a cute little place! Its nice to get a break from the millions of sports bars all around New Jersey, and have a classy local lounge. It is very laid back, and the service is good. It looks like a fancy library you would see in a movie, accept with wine instead of books. They made great suggestions and the prices were reasonable. 30 dollars for 4 glasses of wine works for me. If you're complaining about that, then you clearly have never been to Manhattan. Definitely try this place out if you're looking to grab a drink with some coworkers or the girls. Nice for guys too though!

This place is very pricey. But unfortunately they can get away with it since they are located in a strip mall with two BYOB restaurants (Nicola's and Kafe Neo). They sell a bottle of wine for $14 that you can get at any other liquor store for $8 or $9. The only reason we stopped in here was because we were dining at Nicola's and I wanted a bottle of white wine (our friend's brought red). So unless you're dining next door and don't have time to get your wine elsewhere, skip this place. Save your money and go to a different liquor store.

This is going to be a very short review compared to my other reviews because there isn't much to say. This place is a wine bar, you buy the wine by the glass or you can purchase a bottle. The place is really cute, it's a nice place for date night. I did not like that if you purchase a bottle of wine and want to open it there they charge you an uncorking fee that is $15...this is just ridiculous. One of the workers stated its to make money because if there was no "uncorking fee" everyone would buy a bottle and not buy a glass of wine (that is about $9). I've been to places similar to this one and I never paid a fee to open a bottle on the premises. With that logic people wouldn't come out at all because buying a bottle of wine at your local liquor store is the same price as a glass of wine at this establishment. People come out and spend money on stuff like this for the whole experience not because it makes sense. Customers would still buy glasses of wine even if they bought a bottle and no money would be lost. That's exactly what my husband and I was going to do until we got the disclaimer. I found it to be greedy and you guys need to change that policy. What would make more sense is if a customer had to buy let's say two glasses of wine or cocktails before being able to purchase a bottle to drink in the bar and not take it home. This place is beautiful inside but turned me off with that uncorking fee. And I am well aware places charge this type of fee but normally it's when it's byob, not when I've purchased the bottle at the place. In NYC they have ridiculous stuff like this which is different because it's New York, but this is Totowa, NJ...

Went to Nicola's Ristorante for dinner Sunday 11/12/17 (which NEVER disappoints), and stopped into Uncorked for one drink after while waiting for my daughter's dinner to be finished to have one glass of wine before heading home. Got accosted by the bartender upon entering "If you want a bottle of wine, fine, if not, we are closed." Been there several times and had a great experience, but the owner should know how rudely we were treated upon opening the door at 7:30pm. You CLOSE at 8PM! Horrible treatment!

What a great place! Wine store AND bar. We stopped to grab a bottle to bring to dinner down the road and ended up staying for a drink at the bar. There was a decent inventory of wine & spirits but not enough if you're looking for real variety. They had some couches and chairs up front with a small bar and small tables in the back. I'm not sure if you can get food, though. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but I liked the idea.

I had no idea this place existed so close to our town. Really nice place with great but short wine list and a full bar. Its has a more mature, upscale crowd but still manages to keep a casual ambience. We had a group of 8 and we we're able to find seating and have a good time on a Saturday night, so anything less, you'll be fine. The bartenders are knowledgeable and quick with their mixology. Had a blast, will definitely be going back.

For an atypical date night, or for a glass of vino, Uncorked is a solid bet! Uncorked, is a nice little lounge that is a breath of fresh air from the typical bar scene. I originally stumbled upon uncorked when I forgot to bring a bottle sangria to Kafe Neo. Luckily, Uncorked saved the day. Uncorked is relatively new (3 years old-ish), and well maintained. The interior looks like Ron Burgundy's library; you know leather bound books and a rich smell of mahogany...Seriously, the interior has beautiful wood floors, hardwood shelves and leather bound seats. The entire shop is dimly lit, which gives it a romantic feel. The bar area is small, but can be considered intimate; afterall it is a wine shop and not a sports bar. The bar area also has a huge TV, which can be distracting. The servers/bartenders are really nice. They are very chatty and seemed knowledgeable about the wines. The wines are a bit pricey around $10-14 per glass depending on what wine you go with. Besides wine by the glass, Uncorked offers wine flights! I recently took a friend out for the wine flights and we had such a great time pretending that we were wine connoisseurs! The also, offer spirit flights too; I plan to check that out soon. Uncorked has a lot of positives; unfortunately, it has a few negatives too. The prices for bottles are expensive. Conventional liquor stores are a lot cheaper. However, if you are in a bind, or in the area, or need booze then the extra cost won't be a problem. Another downside of Uncorked is that at times it can smell like a cigar box. Uncorked caters to all patrons, some of which are cigar smokers. At time, especially in the summer, cigar smell tends to fill up the shop, which can be unappealing. Overall, Uncorked is a solid bet. If it were up to me I'd give it 3.5 stars. I'll definitely be back and definately have more wine!

Came here for a drink..there was a private event..went to leave and Mr. Murphy came outside in the freezing cold to tell us we could come in. Open bar and food from Nicolas. He came over to ask us how we were doing even though we were the youngest people in the room by 20+ years. Great wine selection, awesome atmosphere and nicest staff! I have never written a yelp review before but I felt the need to here. Amazing place! Plan on becoming a regular.

We stopped in here to buy a bottle of wine to take next door to Kafe Neo. The front section is the wine store and the lounge appears to be in the back. The person who helped us was very nice. We selected the cheapest Riesling (at $13/bottle) and he got us a chilled bottle from the back. We learned that they have tastings there about twice a month, so we signed up for their email list! They don't have a huge selection in the store area, but the staff knows their inventory.

I generally would not get a mixed drink....they usually are WAY too strong and alcohol tasting (and I can handle a strong drink). Wine is good, place is nice, service is good although there is a bartender that drinks with the guests and it's just....tacky and unprofessional. Rest of the servers/bartenders are good. I just wish it was bigger because sometimes it can be pretty packed.

Love this place, just wish the bar was bigger and had another tv in the bar area. The wine is very good although I think they are a little overpriced considering the area its in. Definitely cool place to go later at night and unwind for a few glasses of wine.

Uncorked is an elegant environment with top notch service and cocktails! It is perfect for any occasion weather it be a night out with friends or a first date. The couches in the front of the shop are the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long day at work! To anyone who has a complaint about the cost of a glass of wine or a cocktail has clearly never been anywhere but their local dive. I highly recommend you stop in as you will surely return!
