A free arts incubator inside the Colorado Convention Center presenting rotating installations and interactive works. Regularly programmed and noted by the Denver Theatre District; a creative stop steps from downtown lights.
This months venue was Artcade. Had a great timeplaying pinball and the crew (2guys at front) were AMAZING. Plus it is free thru the end if the month (January 2022). Tuesday through Saturday 12pm-8pm. Art/focus changes every month so sign up for their email list.

Loved the arcade exhibit! Not only was the place fun, but the people running it were absolutely fantastic and genuinely wanted to make sure everyone had a great time.
If all art exhibits have such lovely people involved, it is well worth your time.

I love it, honestly. The attractions and artist showcases are new every month. If you're lucky, you can meet the artist and really pick their brain on how these pieces work. There's something new every month, so there's always a reason to check it out. You can see it right from the D-line on your left if you're heading towards the city proper.

I had never heard of the Understudy before I went to the Supernova showing at the Sie Filmcenter. The Understudy had an exhibition that was part of the Supernova Art Festival. I enjoyed it.

The small exhibition space is located right next to the convention center/theater district, RTD, light rail station, and is free and open to the public.
It is considered an art incubator space and has rotating exhibitions that I believe change every month. The space is 700 ft.² so you'll be able to get through the exhibition pretty quickly.
This location does a wonderful job of maintaining the vibrancy of Denvers art community by having a welcoming space access to the public to visit, as well as having opening receptions when new exhibitions arrive. All of the people involved with understudy are incredibly friendly and involved in the arts and culture community.
The next time you're walking around in the downtown area it's worth stopping by and taking a look

Yelp
This small space, tucked under the Convention Center main floor and far enough off 14th that it doesn't have street visibility, probably struggled attracting a paying tenant. So instead, it became a free public gallery that is a gem, with installations rotating periodically. It has cool stuff, great staff, and always a welcoming vibe.
