"Unframed Ice Cream is the ice cream destination that we’ve been waiting for! With 12 unique flavours that rotate based on their French-based recipe developer’s latest discovery – you can get excited for combinations like peanut butter and burnt white chocolate, or lemon grass and jasmine rice! You don’t have to feel guilty either, because each batch is made from scratch using real, sustainable food. Also, if you’re looking for something extra at your next event, they’ll show up with their Vespa to ensure you have a great time!" - Yellow Door Collective

"Unframed serves Cape Town’s best ice cream, and was named the best ice cream parlor in the world (which seems like a hard call to make, but we’ll take it). The speculoos, blue coconut, and honeycomb are our favorites, and the vegan options are all on par with the dairy ones. They also post their flavors on Instagram every morning in case you need a few hours to think before committing to just one. There are two locations, one on Kloof Street and one in the Food Market at the Waterfront (this being one of the only two semi-reasonable reasons to go to the Waterfront other than the Watershed shops next door). Most importantly, though, Unframed tastes best after a day spent at Clifton, Glen, or Llandudno Beach." - Dana Alloy

This spot is a must-visit for ice cream lovers! Order the tasting flight to sample 5 flavors—it’s the best way to explore their range for only R107, so basically 2 separate scoops. The Vegan Snickers and Salted Chocolate are outstanding, with perfect richness and balance. The fruit flavors were a bit too sweet for my taste, but still refreshing. Highly recommend for a sweet treat!

Voted 1 of the best ice cream parlors in the world. Really it’s amazing. I found some of the vegan flavours better than the normal cream. I had the tasting flight of 5 flavours, really good value. To me the beetroot coloured chocolate vegan ice cream was the best here and I am not vegan. Its so enjoyable yet not as rich as normal ice creams, but really really tasty and smooth.

Such an amazing ice cream place in Cape Town! Stumbled across it whilst staying in the area. I wish I had the chance to return to try other amazing flavours. I had peach and beetroot chocolate +ginger. Amazing flavours. Recommend paying this place a visit. The staff were also super friendly.

My friend and I arrived here with high expectations because of the reputation but where underwhelmed by the taste. Probably its just our palate that didn't take kindly to the offerings hence consider this review as an anomaly. Service staff has to be trained in how to be gentle with the customers. My friend was vehemently reprimanded for inadvertently touching the waffle cones that are strangely right in front of the customers. If you are so concerned about hygiene and human touch then please keep all such items out of reach of unsuspecting customers. I had politely given the abovementioned feedback to the staff in question but it wasn't perceived to be taken in a positive manner. Its unlikely I will ever be back to try it out again mainly because of the underwhelming taste of ice-creams but again maybe its just my palate.

Wanted to stop by and see why they are named the best ice cream parlour in the world. I was a bit disappointed to see the unique flavours spoken about online were not available, there were justly the ‘regular’ flavours available. The ice cream is very creamy and deliciously sweet though, just how I like it. I had the peanut butter with roasted cashews - divine! We got lovely service from a super friendly guy. I do recommend you stop by and try it for yourself! Nothing like a good ice cream in the Cape heat

My favourite spot for ice cream. I love their unique approach to flavours. There is a good mix of the classic favourites like vanilla, salted caramel and chocolate. For the more adventurous person I would recommend - ‘lemon, olive oil and white chocolate’ or the ‘beetroot, ginger and dark chocolate’.

Insane yummy ice cream on a hot summer's night in the heart of Cape Town. Salted Caramel wafer and lemon with white chocklate served in wavers was an absolute treat 😋
