A Few Nashville Dining Experts Look Back on Some of 2021’s Saddest Restaurant Closures | Eater Nashville

"A dependable favorite, especially during its first five years of operation. I loved the bar program and the smoked mussels, so its closure really stung." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Nice but the communication is lackluster. Asked to be shown a 4 bed. Said they didn't have vacancies. Okay. Asked to see a 3 bed. Was shown a 2bed. Spoke up and everyone acted like a deer in headlights. We left. Management or whomever is sending the ridiculous texts to secure tenants? They aren't on the same communication wavelength. I was asked to come back to see a 3 bed. Then? Communication was delayed yet again for almost 24 hours. All that for me to make too much money. Hmmmm. And IDK who said the rooms are huge. They aren't. My current home that I'm selling? My first floor alone would swallow these apartment layouts. Very misleading. Seems like the qualifications change, depending on how you handle yourself. Listen to the reviews about the communication issues. I should have. My daughter and I wasted our Saturday here. Rejection is protection. Wasn't meant to be.

As a senior building, this apartment complex promised a safe, stable place for older residents. That promise has now been broken. Management is transitioning the building and displacing seniors who moved in specifically because it was advertised as senior housing. This has caused enormous stress for residents who are now being forced to uproot their lives with little compassion or accountability from ownership. This decision shows a complete lack of respect for elderly tenants. I would strongly caution anyone especially seniors from renting here. Stability and honesty should not be optional. Ann is no longer there and was absolutely amazing and truly cared about the residents and she is gone!

I recently toured this property and was really impressed! The community is beautiful and so well maintained. Ann and Lorie were both incredibly friendly and accommodating — they took the time to explain everything clearly, especially the income restrictions, and answered all my questions without rushing me. Unfortunately, I don’t currently qualify based on income, but if that ever changes, I’ll definitely be back. Such a lovely experience overall!

Listen, I’m gonna try to make this as short and sweet to the point, but I can’t make no promises. I wanna say that my living conditions at Union Commons flats in Clermont County is the best home I’ve ever lived in . The buildings not only are brand new and just built, but they are definitely affordable. They’re beautiful. We have a lot of accommodations here like the swimming pool, the fitness room. The office staff is so outstanding, so efficient ,friendly and quick to help you with any problems . The maintenance team all around great people. I want everybody to know nobody ,and I mean nobody is more proud to live in these lovely apartments as I am. I get up every day thanking God for where I live , especially in hard times like today , because I know he led me to this place. We kept looking for somewhere to move. I wanted a house so bad . But what I like about my complex is , it’s peaceful and quiet, Clean of course, It’s beautiful. The apartments look like a five star hotel but then when you’re inside of them, they’re built like a house .We have the kitchen islands. I have a lovely patio. I have a big closet for my washer and dryer roomie bathrooms ,roomie closets, Plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen . The apartments have a wide open space with sunshine coming through ,which lifts my spirit every day . I thank God and this community for coming together and building such a beautiful place. I met the builder Joe today because we had a ribbon ceremony and it was very nice and everyone there was nice. I introduce myself to him and explained that. I’ve always envisioned myself living in a place like this . Secretly I’ve always want to be a builder. I always felt low housing should have the same quality of living as everyone else has. Many families have children and you need space , you need a fair rent amount , so you can take care of your family . We need a place for kids to let out their energy like a pool or a gym. Again I just wanna say thank you ,Union commons management and the whole team and everybody who put this vision together. You made a woman and her family very happy. I thank God for you , I thank God for this Community, and I thank God for where I live in case you missed it . I LOVE , LOVE , LOVE MY NEW COMMUNITY !!!!!! Thank you for reading my book lol , MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR OUR COMMUNITY! Annette Hickson, in Clermont County Eastgate, Ohio.

This place is beautiful and I love living here, however they are already raising the rent. We will be here 1 year and rent is going up enough that we will not be able to stay. For low income apartments the rent isn't low. We are in the 55 or older building and our income isn't going up enough for this rent increase. I am stressed out having to move again this soon. We get a raise on our social security but medical is raising and now rent.

I would like to say this apartment complex is allowing people that have bedbugs and cockroaches live here without proper documentation and when I asked to see what my rights were towards this subject I was basically told by management and the police I have no rights since the person I’m talking about is apparently the main applicant on the apartment I’m residing in and the third roommate has no bugs like me when we moved in and I sent an email about the person in question stating she has bugs and the management is forcing us to live with her. So me and the other tenant are trying to leave because again we were basically told we have no rights when we are basically trying not to have bugs nor anyone else in the complex Sorry for the rant. But I can’t see how two people paid the full rent and the third roommate didn’t pay any of it. We even were told that they can’t evict someone for non payment of rent. I almost forgot that I saved the email as proof that I told management and the response they told me on the bug situation

So far so good. The buildings are all new with nicer fixtures, finishes and appliances than you would normally get in this price range. The one negative thing to say is also part of it's best aspect, the price is affordable and the apartments are more luxury than you would expect in this price range because its part of a government program. You first have to go through the normal approval process and that is relatively quick in my case, but then they send your application to the compliance office. This part of the process can take time and make you almost want to give up, you have to make enough money to qualify but you also cant make over a certain amount. It took almost a month and I was very worried as I had a move out date where I was leaving. But Ann somehow made it all come together at the last minute. I am glad I did stick it out and was well worth the aggravation with the process, these apartments are quiet well constructed with all I can see, and seem to be well run, and quiet and quite beautiful.
