Really awesome brewery with tons of seating space, great indoor-outdoor flow, and some surprisingly awesome food options. The pork belly sandwich and tater tots we had were fantastic and we also had two of their top selling beers. Lots of games and things inside to keep everyone entertained. This is a great option for all ages centrally located in the city.

Google
Union Craft delivers amazing service with a truly welcoming vibe. The space has a relaxed, upscale feel—one of the best spots in Brewers Hill. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, and the variety of drinks and food options is excellent. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual bite or a fun night out, this is hands down the best place to eat in the area.

Google
Cool place with indoor and outdoor settings and creative lighting. Somewhat drab inside and could do more to cozy. Beers are good the rough draft scotch ale is tasty and wife loved the oatmeal stout

Jon N.

Google
This brewery is really neat. It's in a small hub with other cool local businesses and its own parking lot. The space is absolutely huge inside with a beer garden to boot. There are food opinions, but I only came for beer (which was excellent). Both their Irish stout and slow pour rauchbier were delicious. Friendly bartenders. Would definitely return.

Google
Stopped by to grab a few cold ones. There was plenty of seating inside and out. There was a good selection of beer available. A couple was sold out. All the brews we tried were well crafted and satisfying. It's definitely a good place to hang out.

Katherine Lee

Google
Great local brewery with an easygoing, chill vibe. Perfect place to hang out or just kick back and relax.

Google
Overall this place is pretty nice. Small, but broad selection of beers, good food menu and large indoor area. The chicken philly was decent but could've used more flavor. The chips and fries were great. The staff were all friendly. As big as the place is, not even letting service dogs stay inside just ridiculous. It's a nice venue to visit occasionally but not worth going out of your way

Amr Kadry

Google
Fantastic view (outdoor upper level). Food was delicious, all the way down to desert. Our waitress was as sweet and attentive as she could be. 11/10 experience.

Yelp
We were here on a Saturday. My wife had her usual black wing. I had the new one, eyewitness brews and a divine. We really enjoy the brews and vibes here. Always a nice stop.

Yelp
This is such a fun space! We came for an event by BARCS and it was perfect- huge and colorful. I love the large light displays on the walls. We also enjoyed the vending machine near the front door selling unique items! The food was good although a little overpriced. I got their version of a McRib and the portion was large with delicious sauce. The tater tots are fantastic. The staff were friendly and nice as well. Definitely a great place for a large event, especially with the free parking.

Yelp
Somehow, Union still feels like three people got together who liked to brew beer and opened a business. The scale of it is no longer small nor lacks any ambition. But the simple concept of brew great beer, bring people together endures. The separate food vendor is constantly good. They have casual outdoor seating where you can bring the dogs. Keep it up Union, cheers.

Yelp
Amazing spot. They wine, cocktails, and beer were fresh and did the job. The charcuterie board was rich with flavors. The service was convenient and quick especially for a Saturday afternoon. Thankfully there's parking and the spot is aesthetically pleasing. It is pricey but worth it.

Yelp
Union is always a good time! Chill vibes, great beer and usually some newbies to try out. The food from the window is always good...especially like the fish and chips. Cannot wait to go back again!

Yelp
I thought I finished my series of reviews where I thought it was deemed lost with my chronicles of breweries where I thought the brewery experience details were lost due to a destroyed phone but as it turns out there was one I missed in getting a review written and that is Union Craft Brewing. Steve and I had their Pale Ale called the Duckpin and it was good! Flavor highlights with this beer were hoppy, fruitiness and malty. The beer is light bodied and smooth which is something we have always appreciated with our drinking excursions and have grown more so to this fondness as time has passed on.

Yelp
Fun spot! Great food, tried the pork belly bites and they were yummy! Service was great also, both for the beer and food.

Yelp
I attended a UMD Alumni Association party here recently and I just keep coming back! I love this brewery! It's easy to find off of I-83 and has a huge free parking lot. The inside is spacious and open, with plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. They've partnered with Carroll & Son Fine Foods to have a concession stand style walk up for food items, which are delicious. My hipster foodie brother recently visited from Dallas and I brought him here to watch the Ravens game and enjoy some tasty beer and nachos. We had the best time trying different craft brews and watching the game on the big screen with other Ravens fans. It's becoming my go-to when I want to just relax and enjoy a Foxy Red IPA. Great service, also! You can't order a flight here, but you can get up to four smaller pours (which is basically a flight). :)

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to meet up with loved ones and have a relaxing hilarious time. The drinks are great, the service is excellent, what else could I say? Oh yes! The events they host are AWESOME and FUN! If you are someone new to Baltimore and looking for a place to connect with the community and make friends, this is the spot!

Yelp
My friend brought me here during a recent trip to Baltimore on a rainy day and it was such a casual, fun vibe. While we were there, there were kids playing with some provided games and live music setting up for the evening. I enjoyed the current sour on tap, while my friend said she always gets the Zadie Lager. They also serve some bites, but we didn't try any.

Yelp
Came here with a few coworkers - what a great spot! Tons of seating with a big bar and a large out door space. Inside had a ton of different seating options with a few large and small high tops and some tables in one area that was projecting the oriels game on the wall. They also have an awesome Photo Booth that looks like an old trailer. Unfortunately the pictures come out TERRIBLY but we had fun nonetheless. We sat outside which had several tables, umbrellas and Adirondack chairs as well as some corn whole. Great spot for big groups of friends and families, but there were also a few people solo with their computer or book. I'm not too high of a beer drinker, but I ordered the sour. The bartender asked if I wanted to add some sort of passion fruit syrup or something too if? He seemed a little unsure but I went for it. It was good! We also ordered food. It was burger night so $15 burgers and fries. I got green hatch burger, but was disappointed the Desmond wasn't on the list for the deal. We also tried to hummus and fish cakes. Not too big for a fan of the fish cakes. Someone else got the nachos which looked good! And they accommodated someone else but doing the nachos but over fries instead of chips. When we ordered they brought the food to our table which was nice! Cute merch with "Zadie" lager we will definitely be back!

Yelp
My son & I went to Union Craft Brewing to try out some beers & have a small meal. I got a shaved brisket with cheese & condiments in a wrap. I actually would like one right now, sooo very good. My son likes hoppy ipa's & I'm into anything light & no after taste. I highly recommend Zayde's Lager. Zayde means grandfather & is pronounced with a long e. We ate outside at a picnic table, families & couples played sand bag toss. Afterwards we went to the gift shop. Of course we bought. My son bought a team jersey , we bought 3 different glasses: a pony with the union U, a Zayde lager, a glass shaped like a can with Murray's image, some magnets & beer labels The atmosphere was casual & interesting

Yelp
Meh, it was okay. + cool ambiance, high ceilings + lots of indoor and outdoor seating + food on site +/- food on site, but no outside food allowed +/- beer menu was fine, but a little lacking - the service was SO unfriendly and unwelcoming. This includes the bar AND merch area - no flights, only full or 1/2 pours

Yelp
It's nice space for a brewery! They don't have the biggest selection of beers, but it's still good beer. Pretzel and pizza would've been great here, but they don't have those anymore. The nachos weren't bad.

Yelp
(3.65) ~ good overall beers * Union Pils = (3.75) Good * Union Pale Ale = (3.5) good

Yelp
Got the Amazing version of a sub that was really popular, and the food was to die for. The perfectly cooked meat, homemade pickles and fresh bread, accompanied by a perfect amount of sauce. Also got their cider and it was sweet and delicious!

Yelp
TLDR: Fun brewery with interesting beers and plenty to do. Ample parking and delicious pizza served by Well Crafted Kitchen. Vibe: 5/5. Located off the main Hampden area, Union is tucked away in an old warehouse sharing the space with several other businesses. One of the biggest perks of the location is the huge parking lot they have available. No need to drive around for several minutes looking for street parking! Union has both inside and outside seating making this perfect for large groups. During my visit, we had a group of 10 and had no problem grabbing a large table outside at 6pm on a Saturday. There are 2 bars, one located inside and one outside which was super convenient. Inside they have some fun decor, including a photo booth camper (free!) and a novelty vending machine definitely worth checking out. Service: 5/5. The entire staff at Union was more than accommodating during our visit. Both bars were easily accessible and the staff was very helpful in helping with beer selection. The same goes for the staff at Well Crafted Kitchen, as we ordered several pizzas from them and they were fantastic at getting us food in a punctual fashion. Food/Beer: 5/5. Very interesting beers! During my visit, I made it a point to sample several of their Workshop beers, which are craft beers only available at the brewery for purchase and are limited releases. That weekend they released a pear saison that was very delicious and the perfect beer to enjoy on a warm August night. The dry hopped saison and white wine apricot Older Pro were also solid sippers. Of course, their normal everyday beer selection is also spectacular and highly recommend those as well. The pizza from Well Crafted Kitchen was also very delicious. We ordered the margarita and the green tomato BLT with both being exceptional.

Yelp
Beautiful space! Great beer!! WiFi! Music venue that's empty at lunchtime (and open). Great to try locally made beers (DuckPin) and some good lagers (Zaydies) and Heferweizen.
google avatar

LaToya E.

Yelp
Large space, lots of options, can get everything in a small pour to taste what else do you need? I love coming here and trying a bunch of different things before deciding on a large glass of anything. It also helps me from getting too full to soon on beer. They usually have a lager or an ale that hits the spot for me but I always try something new before going back for the ones I know i'll love.

Yelp
Our quest to visit every Baltimore brewery continues. Union's Old Pro Gose is a top five canned beer for me so I was excited to get it on tap. I just wished they had more of that style. Plenty of parking although I bet it's crowded in summer. There is plenty of room, inside and out for more people than parking. Really nice outside space for the doggies. Tons of room inside with a big bar area. Lots of communal tables. Food from Well Crafted Kitchen was on point. Separate review for that. Super cute little camper thing for kids that included a photo booth. I had Old Pro Gose and the Jones Falls Trail Radler. Both were excellent. Hubby had the GOAT, black lager, and duck pin. That's plus several hands of Uno capped off the evening. Family friendly as well.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
I greatly appreciate the brewery for how dimensional their space is for events. Indoors and outdoors is truly an experience here. Try a little flavor on top of your sour beer!
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
We were here for the Charm City "Bluegrass" Festival (in quotation marks because there were many groups but, in the six hours of Saturday we were there, very little bluegrass). But that of course is not the brewery's fault. What is their fault is the beer. All light-ish stuff, nothing dark, nothing flavorful despite what their web site suggests is available The price of cups of draft was reasonable considering it is being sold at a festival
google avatar

Yelp
Union is a great place to meet up with your friends or family to enjoy freshly brewed beverages. This place is in somewhat of a warehouse and is a large spacious venue with an outdoor space that functions in the warmer months. They have plenty of games, activities, and even a fun photo booth to keep people entertained. I enjoy coming here during events or on a weekend to wind down. The beer selections are pretty good but I do wish they had more sour options. I got food for the first time and it was ok... portion sizes could be better for the price. Employees are always friendly and quick to serve, all drinks and food are ordered at the bar (no table service). I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
What a nice place. Live music outside, good beer inside. If your read an unhappy review it was likely a bad day. My choices for beers were the mostly on the darker porter side. Either way all were delicious. Help were wonderful. This place is a 5 star

Yelp
This a beer and a good boy. The beer is refreshing. Union never disappoints. "A good boy never disappoints either" - Jo-Jo Frittata

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, decent selection with some fun 8-10 min pours. Didn't try any of the food but enjoyed the experience.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
The beer is excellent but the food, offered by Carroll & Son is beyond disappointing. The nachos ($16) are seemingly scraps from whatever is handy in the kitchen. In addition to being soggy, they have no discernible flavor. It's just a weird mish of bland ingredients that all seem to suck individually and when blended as an entire dish. The chicken is especially mysterious. It's shredded, but they seem to have removed the flavor in the process. I added lots of salt and it was still like eating one of the bar coasters. I don't know about the other offerings, but the nachos need a total reimagination.

Yelp
Came here on a weekend night and it was busy, but still easy to find parking in the lot right outside! They were playing live music, which they play outside and people were dancing! It was easy to place an order and grab a beer and find a table. I'm not the biggest fan of their beers, because they have a lot of IPAs, but I got a dark beer that was solid. Its very dog friendly, and I was able to bring my dog and he had fun meeting all the people around!

Yelp
Check out this local spot! Such a cute brewery located of rt 83 in Hampden! They have a pizza spot located inside that offers some delicious and amazing pizzas! They have a huge space both indoors and outdoors with a free photo camper inside. They provide a self serve water area which is nice so you don't have to wait at the bar or for a server. The bathrooms are nice and clean. The selection of beers and specialty drinks are worth the trip!

Yelp
Fun in the sun! Busy day at Union Craft's newly reopened outdoor beer garden, as many gathered to take advantage of the few days of warmer weather that blessed us this past week. While it was busy, it didn't feel unsafe, as it was entirely outdoor and the tables were adequately spaced. Staff is nice, and the ordering system is very slick (reservations required, all online ordering, qr codes, smart phones etc). Minimal staff interaction to keep the whole experience pandemic friendly, although the order system might trip up the less technically savvy (need to download an app to order beer). Speaking of beer, it was excellent - we had their classic old pro sour. Just so tasty. And perfect paired with some delicious beer garden fare provided by next door Well Crafted Kitchen, and delivered direct to your table. We had a large salted pretzel and and half and half pizza of margarita and apple/bacon/blue cheese. Both super tasty and fitting for the occasion. Left when the sun went down and it started getting a little chilly reminding us that we should have brought jackets and that it was technically still winter. Highly recommend for beer, food, and good times when the weather permits! NB: Some photos from a previous, summertime visit :)

Yelp
I visited Union Craft Brewing yesterday and had a great time. The beers we tried (a sour and an IPA) were good, and the service was great. But what really stands out to me about the brewery is the property. It's huge! The tap room is huge, with a bar and a restaurant (Well Crafted Kitchen) that serves pizzas (including some really creative pizzas - right now, the menu has pizzas with fried green tomatoes, lamb, butternut squash puree) and snacks. But the outside is also amazing. It's large, with tons of tables (many with umbrellas) and an outside bar. It's a great place to spend a few hours, catch up with friends, and try a few beers! I'll be back soon - and next time, I'll try the food from Well Crafted Kitchen and stay longer!
google avatar

Yelp
The vibes at Union are awesome. Campy and quirky and fun-- just the way we like it in Baltimore! This is such a fun place for happy hour or meeting groups. The beer garden is so cool and is kid friendly. The bartenders are nice and happy to help. I'm gluten free so I can't speak to the beers. I'm not really a cider person but I'll have one when we go. Fun place to hang!
google avatar

Riley T.

Yelp
I definitely recommend this place. The service was simply amazing, outstanding, perfection. I got the grilled cheese with tater tots and we shared the stoner fries to start. They were both delicious. The grilled cheese was so nostalgic and grilled wonderfully. The fries have a great amount of toppings and I loved the jalapeños. I got a lemonade and it was also good. There is also plenty of parking and seating.
google avatar

Dave K.

Yelp
Pre-covid the drink selection seemed better, and it seemed like there was a lot more interesting stuff to try. Went today and there wasn't much that was interesting/new, and the couple thing I tried were just not very good. The real thing that caused me to remove stars though was that they didn't list prices or sizes for the beers. I took a shot in the dark, and the beer I ordered was both a bit more pricy than I had hoped and wasn't even a full pour. I am sure they would have given me the info if I had asked, but they have better things to do than tell me the price and size of every beer on the menu.
google avatar

Gail B.

Yelp
This facility is huge. There is interesting art along the outside of the entrance (picture an empty Costco sized facility with cool furniture. There is an outside patio where you can play games. Inside, you will find several places to get food and beverages. You can sit on the couches and chairs or inside a really cool trailer. When there are lots of people, it is harder to hear. It is worth walking around to see all the food and beverage choices available.
google avatar

Mel B.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere, good beer. The vibe inside is cool and relaxed and the mural outside always makes me happy! I especially love the photo booth in the old camper (whenever there aren't kids just like hanging out in it for hours). Service is always friendly and Union Collective as a whole offers fun for people of all types.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a professional lecture. There's a back room with its own bar and access for the kitten to serve food. In terms of sound, this may not be the best location for a lecture-style event because the ceilings are so high that there are echoes and reverb, but it's a great hang out area! The open bar was a nice touch, and the artisan pizzas were decent. I'm not a huge beer fan but enjoyed the "Divine" beer. My favorite pizza was the goat cheese with balsamic glaze!
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Union Craft Brewing is a brewery with a spacious taproom and a decent sized parking lot. There was a line, but it moved quickly. My fiance and I enjoyed playing shuffleboard while sipping on craft beers - Lil Dipper (Lil Hazy IPA) and Old Pro Gose with Grapefruit Ginger Syrup. I wanted a souvenir t-shirt but wasn't a fan of any of their designs!
google avatar

Aly W.

Yelp
Wait: None, this is a huge open space with plenty of indoor, outdoor, and "in between" seating. Server: The bartenders were kind of "blah". My friend was visiting from DC and she commented on it as well. Not the best but not the worst for sure. Food Quality& Order: Okay, so at first when I asked if they had anything Gluten Free, I was told "No". Then a few moments later they were like "Oh wait we have a Cider!" Nice save. I was kind of bummed and then not so bummed. I got some blueberry cider and it was amazing. Multiple people outside asked about it. Atmosphere& Decor: SUCH A COOL SPACE! I definitely want to make it here for some of their events and not just for a drink. I hear the food from their kitchen partner is pretty good too. Excited to go back and do more of a group thing there.

Yelp
Honestly, I wish I lived in Baltimore more than I care to admit. Union Craft makes GREAT beer, and they have a ton of solid and consistent offerings, but also mix things up with some seasonal or test batches that are always good, if not always to my personal taste. I love the bright and happy artwork on the walls and on the beer cans and glassware themselves. The whole atmosphere was happy (although it's still cold inside, so be prepped to wear your coat while chilling) and relaxing and such a welcome reprieve from what sometimes feels like a dark grey and ever-present grind in DC. The food was great--we had pizza but it had something on it that is escaping me now that I had never heard of but was delicious. For bar fare it was exceptional. You need a sober driver because it's not walkable to most places, so don't be that guy and just uber/lyft/bring a DD.

Jon H.

Yelp
The best!!! Service is great! Wonderful selection of beer. New food menu is outstanding. Even the customers are friendly. Very down home atmosphere!
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
Another great brewery in Baltimore. Union Craft is located in a repurposed industrial warehouse, and has a good sized bar and a large seating to go with it. They brew their own beers and serve pizzas and other foods from their kitchen. I always try to get the Anthem Ale whenever I come back. I always like this place, and I try to come back here whenever I'm in town. It's always crowded but somehow you can always manage to find a place to sit or stand.
google avatar

Maura C.

Yelp
I have always loved Union but I definitely wanted to write a review for their new location at the union collective! What an incredible space! The new taproom is huge, and while it's still developing, it offers plenty of seating, including a little camper you can hang out in. They also have a lot of pinball games and other games that you can play. I came here recently and saw a lot of families with children playing around and hanging out in the taproom. The outdoor area is also incredible. Although it could definitely use some shade, the large mural, picnic tables, cornhole, and food trucks that hang out outside make the whole space comfortable and fun. I can't wait to spend more of my time here! Also the beer is great too!
google avatar

Henry F.

Yelp
Finally got to visit the Union Collective. Came here for a summer party where they had live bands and a collab with Clavel. The whole space is huge! Plenty of parking, pretty good beer and awesome events hosted regularly. What's not to like? They have Skeeball and some sort of shuffle-board bowling game as well. Looks like more stores are moving into the space but as of now they have The Charmery, Vent Coffee, Earth Treks and a distilling company coming soon. The area isn't the best but because they have such a huge space, they are able to create their own environment inside the Collective. Great to see progress in the area!

Brady S.

Yelp
The beers are always great. They have awesome indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed and they often have live music. They recently changed the food menu, but the change was not for the better. We got the nachos and a chicken salad sandwich. The nachos came cold and the chicken was very bland (the jalapeños were delicious). We only had a bite or two of the sandwich as it was also bland besides a strong Smokey flavor (which is fine, but not by itself) We miss the old pizza and cheese tray
google avatar

Erica G.

Yelp
I don't even like beer and I enjoyed this spot. Came for a happy hour with coworkers and the food was good and so was the hard ale I tried. Very cool and chill vibe. Nice place to hangout with a few friends. Great outdoor area too.

Yelp
I really enjoyed visiting Union Craft Brewing on Friday night with a companion. I truly believe this is one of the best breweries in Baltimore and am so proud of the great suds being brewed here. We arrived fairly early, around 5:30pm. We had fun exploring this huge space that includes a photo booth in a roofless RV, a bar, and a place to buy food. We ordered a bbq & coleslaw pizza and a Duckpin bratwurst w/ baguette. They text you when your food is ready and you pick it up yourself. The food was really good. My only complaint is that my two items were not finished at the same time so I had to walk back and forth, inside and outside, a couple of times. It's really the beer that is the star here. Duckpin is my absolute favorite Baltimore beer and it was great to throw one back here at the source. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the people and the dogs. The demographic is younger-- mostly 20s and 30s but we oldsters felt comfy here too. The Rolling Stones was playing the entire time we were there. There is plenty of parking here. The only downside is that if you sit outside you have to listen to the JFX. If you sit inside, the music is too loud. Arrive early, eat a little and drink a little and then head around the corner to this outpost of Hampden's Charmery. This is a delicious way to end an evening. Thanks, Union! We'll be back.

Yelp
I saw a show here at the outside stage and it was pretty cool. The staff was really friendly and they had good beer and food :)

Yelp
Union Craft Brewing is located inside the Union Collective. On weekends, it seems like parking is pretty difficult to find if you don't get there early. It's a large area with a big parking lot, but because it's located inside the Union Collective, there are other shops and stores that the Union Craft Brewing shares a parking lot with. That said, we parked along the street in a neighborhood nearby, as we saw many others doing. When we went, the Apple Festival was also happening, so other places in the Union Collective were having cool specials or events. Union Craft Brewing has a large indoor and outdoor area. We got our drinks from the bar inside and then went outside to the outdoor area to enjoy the fresh air and sip on our drinks. My boyfriend got the Foxy which he said was good. And being gluten-intolerant, I got the only gluten-free option on the menu which was the Cherry Cider. I wasn't a huge fan of it, being that the cherry flavor was overwhelmingly strong, but it was decent. The outdoor area had picnic benches and tables, some barrels to place drinks on if you wanted to stand, and cornhole. There were lots of children running around, so I think it's very family-friendly during the day. I don't know what it's like in the evening though. The indoor area had communal seating and an area with couches and comfy seats. It shares space with Well Crafted Kitchen which was making pizza and other goodies, which goes well with beer of course. Overall, a cool spot even though it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. I think this would be a great date spot when it's not overly crowded and a cool place for friends to gather and catch up.
