I dropped in just in time for their daily $10 Happy Hour before it ended (from 4pm to 7pm). The Happy Hour prices were not giving Happy Hour prices to me. It seems like regular menu prices.
Also, the waiter straight up told me she would not shuck a full dozen for me, but just a half dozen. I thought that was an absurd thing to tell a customer, but I let her have it. She kept going to other customers, knowing full well the HH ends at 7pm. I literally rushed my order in at 6:59. She also had an odd attitude throughout our time there that did not sit well with me.
The Food/Drinks:
I ordered the Seafood Deviled Eggs ($10), 1/2 dozen oysters ($10), and a cocktail drink ($10). My friend got the Old Bay Wings & the same cocktail drink as I.
The Seafood Deviled Eggs were bad. It was (what I assumed to be) dry crab meat on top of the egg yolk part of the Deviled Eggs sprinkled in Old Bay. It was also about 3 pieces... for $10, in which I felt cheated.
The oysters were okay, but the presentation was horrible. The oysters were scattered across the platter with no organization nor to tell me which oysters are what. I had to organize my oysters. It was oysters on top of big crescent ice, with dining forks instead of oyster/cocktail forks. I guess the waitress found it in her heart to finally let me order the other 1/2 dozen oysters I initially wanted to order because "its not that many people here" (though the place was a ghost town when I arrived). I had to send two oysters back because they were slimy/gooey to touch.
I do not know what my friend thought of her wings, but she didn't finish them.
The cocktail drinks we ordered (sidecar) were also okay. It tasted sour & watered down, barely any flavor.
I am likely not returning here, nor do I recommend it, but I do hope the restaurant improves several things such as employee morale, food presentation, and reasonable menu pricing for their Happy Hour.
