The 17 Best Restaurants In Tampa - Tampa - The Infatuation

"Union is the new go-to spot in Westshore for lunch with your boss’s boss or a special occasion dinner—it’s the kind of place where you can eat sushi and steak at a table surrounded by velvet, marble, and leather. The menu is all over the place but it works, with plates like Iberico pork with shrimp fried rice, biscuits topped with ham and pimento cheese, and a really good hearth-roasted platter with lobster, king crab, clams, shrimp, and oysters. Wrap up the night with a post-dinner biscotti espresso martini or a sherry Old Fashioned on their covered rooftop lounge." - cheryl rodewig

Union New American is truly a gem! I went for brunch and tried the Firewood shrimp and grits, Union house bacon, Pancakes(to go order), the Lychee Lover martini, and the Peach Fizz cocktail. Every dish and cocktail was bursting with incredible flavor. The cocktails were so thoughtfully crafted, and the entrees were just as impressive. I was absolutely blown away by the pancakes, they were fluffy, buttery, perfectly grilled, and had this amazing toasted finish that set them apart from any other brunch spot I’ve tried. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and welcoming, from the manager to the bartender to Stephanie, who gave excellent recommendations and made my first visit extra special. Thank you all for curating such a fantastic experience. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back!

I had a fantastic experience dining outside at Union New American. The patio was comfortable and stylish, with warm lighting and sleek wooden furniture that created a relaxed, upscale vibe. The menu offered an appealing mix of options: beautifully plated sushi rolls with fresh tuna, salmon, and creamy avocado; tender, perfectly seared steak with a roasted pepper and bright sauce; and incredibly fluffy, golden bread served with rich, whipped butter. The service was attentive, and everything was presented with care—from the neat chopstick holders to the crisp bottled water service. Our meal felt like a true treat, balancing global flavors with modern American polish. The crispy fingerling potatoes in a vibrant sauce were especially memorable—generously portioned and topped with a drizzle of creamy dressing. Even the iced coffee was thoughtfully prepared, with plenty of ice and a smooth, layered look that was refreshing on the outdoor patio. Union New American does a wonderful job of blending familiar comforts with creative flair, making it a great choice for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience.

I had Brunch here for the first time today and it was nothing short of amazing! Alex was our server and he was fantastic! One of the manager’s, Steven, came by to introduce himself as well. Such a nice person. Very courteous and a great personality. So the grits. I love grits and there is no place I have gone where I do not have to “doctor up” with extra butter, salt and pepper. This was by far the most delicious grits I have ever had! I would go back just for a bowl of grits and some rolls. It’s perfect! Great saxophone player and so nice to have the live music. Just the right volume too. We shared several things and all were amazing! Only great things here and I will definitely be back! Thank you for a great experience!

Google
Absolutely Exceptional Dining Experience! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. The staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly — making us feel like valued guests from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The [starter/appetizer] was a perfect introduction — fresh, well-balanced, and expertly seasoned. For the main course, the [dish name] was nothing short of spectacular. Cooked to perfection, it showcased the chef’s talent and attention to detail. Dessert was the cherry on top — both decadent and creative without being overwhelming. The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, making it perfect for both special occasions and a refined night out. It’s clear that quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and excellent hospitality are at the heart of everything they do here. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. A must-visit if you’re in the area — we’ll definitely be back!

Sit outside- covered and fans make it feel amazing this time of year. Benjamin our waiter was the best! Very attentive and made great recommends. We will be back!

Google
Great cocktail selection, I really enjoyed the milk bread with the duck fat spread. I got the recommended spicy tuna sushi roll, which was really delicious and all of the cocktails were great. I love the ambience and the service was on point as well.

Google
Tried this place for the first time Easter Sunday for brunch. Highly recommend reservations, it was pretty packed. Had a 1 pm reservation and were seated right at 1pm. We were a party of 8. Ordered several small plates, my favorites are the blue crab rangoon dip and pork belly tacos but everything was delicious. Service was spectacular, although super busy didn't wait long for food or drinks. There was a guitar player that enhanced the vibe and it was perfect music for brunch. For our meals we tried the filet, salmon BBQ bowl, Korean fried chicken and waffles, avocado toast, and chilaquiles. All very good. The lychee martini was also very tasty! For dessert highly recommend the butter cake. Will definitely be coming back on a Friday or Saturday evening for the live music and to try dinner!

Google
Service was great! Had Jacob and Laura who did an outstanding job The food was really too heavy for us. The sauces were mostly buttery, they even fried the Seabass in a butter sauce. The Wagyu was excellent on the skewer, and that was probably the highlight. The shrimp and fish were both too buttery. Hamachi Crudo was very good but citrus sauce was too heavy I found the music kind of annoying because it was that techno pop stuff. Just not our kind of place. Sorbet and ice cream were excellent!!

Yelp
What an amazing experience. First of all, I have to call out our waiter, Gordy (like Gordon Ramsey). He was delightful. His wine recommendations were perfect. His food recommendations were spot on and my experience was a 10/10. We started with the roasted oysters and they were delicious. From there we got the prix fixe menu. The crispy tuna was phenomenal and the best I've ever had. And the wagyu steak was also amazing. I never take leftovers home but this was the exception. It was so good and perfectly medium rare. We got the cookies for dessert and they are EXCEPTIONAL. I usually hate doing timed meals but this one was timed perfectly and I cannot recommend the restaurant or the service enough. (Gordy don't forget to watch hook and Matilda).

Yelp
This place has the look and feel of a nice swanky bar in NYC honestly. I was only able to view the bottom floor because apparently the top level is only open on the weekends. Either way this place will definitely surprise you from the inside. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They all did a great job and we never felt like we had to flag anyone over for anything. The food I would say is good but nothing really stood out to me. The milk bread was honestly the winner. I will definitely go back and try the sushi and steak dishes. Everything we had was good and I would recommend coming here, I'm just not sure I've found "the dish" that will have me coming back again and again. The drinks were great and they had a nice wine selection too.

Yelp
My friend and I came to Union on a Saturday night. I would definitely recommend having a reservation as we were sat about 10 mins after our reservation time. I really enjoyed the Sakura cocktail it was sweet but floral. My friend and I both had the Faroe Island Salmon. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the accoutrements the chef paired with the salmon really enhanced the dish. We really loved the overall ambiance with the dim lighting. The terrace seating is also very nice and would enjoy sitting there once it's a bit cooler outside. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Cute rooftop edition to the Westshore area! I have been wanting to try this place for a while and we stopped here Friday for happy hour. The bar was full at about 4:45 so we waited until 5 PM until the rooftop lounge opened. They have great happy hour drink specials compared to what their regular pricing is. The rooftop was really nice once we got up there, but I will say this place does attract a very young crowd (too young for me) on the rooftop bar and that saying a lot as I'm in my late 20s. Definitely want to come back for dinner one night! I love that there's plenty of parking as this is kind of in the middle of a business area!

Yelp
Loved it. George is a great new bartender that is being trained really well by Kayla. The Cadillac Margarita and Mai Tai were both delicious. The roasted oysters are amazing. My wife loved the crispy tuna, I thought it was fine. I like it crispier and with a little less tuna. The sea bass skewers were really good. They were cooked more towards medium (which they should be) but my wife likes her fish closer to well done.

Yelp
Wow! Chef Jacob Rios is doing an incredible job here. The menu is full of things that I want to try out. I had a lot to eat here. It was me and a work buddy and once we knew chef Jacob was here we decided to try a bunch of stuff. Let me start with saying we sat at the bar, the place was packed on a Tuesday at 7, and the service was incredible. The bar tenders were so welcoming and on top of their game. Big shout out to them as they know their bourbon, just ask about recommendations and they will hook you up right. We started with a Crunchy Tuna Roll, it was a great way to start our food adventure here. Super fresh as sushi better be, and full of flavor. Next we got a little weird on them, as the sides are big enough to share, we decided to order a side of the Brussel Sprouts as another appetizer. They are great and i recommend doing that. Sorry Union if that's annoying, but it works out so well. For my main I got the Hearth Roasted Iberico Pork. The mole is a special recipe from chef's family, very good. To cap it all off we ordered the Basque Cheese Cake. Perfect way to enjoy a meal! Thank you Union!

Yelp
Went here for a friend's birthday and it was good, but not anything that I would go out of my way for. IMO, prices were on the expensive side for the portions served. We did leave here with room in our bellies for more food even after ordering a good amount items. We started off with cocktails: Lychee Lover Martini, Kentucky Blues, and Bird of Paradise - all were delicious. We then ordered a couple of apps. The stand outs were: PARKER HOUSE MILK BREAD, WAGYU  BEEF TARTARE, and the HAMACHI CRUDO. After that, we ordered a couple of entrees and of all that we ordered, the 16 OZ PRIME RIBEYE is the one we recommend the most. The GULF SNAPPER was good, but at nearly $40 for a SNAPPER... can't recommend that. We also ordered a couple of the veggie sides, and we did love the JAPANESE SWEET POTATO and the HEARTH GRILLED MUSHROOMS. Overall, it was a nice place to try and cross off our list but most likely wouldn't be back. The prices and the fact that our entire table was still hungry is a good enough reason for us.

Yelp
We needed a place to grab a bite before our flight out of Tampa and stumbled upon this spot--just five minutes from the airport. It's a chic and stylish place with a great vibe. We sat upstairs which has a cozy enclosed patio, full bar, and food service. There was a live guitarist playing to music which was really nice! The drinks and cocktails were solid, and the breakfast food was decent. My friend especially loved the hot Nashville chicken. One surprising highlight--the bathroom! It's gender-neutral, beautifully designed with textured walls and Italian tapestry. The décor throughout the space was thoughtfully done. Really enjoyed the experience!

Yelp
I came for dinner with my family and WOW...everything we tasted was divine. 11/10 drinks and food. Everything is cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth. The ambience both indoors and outdoors is chic, classy, and soft. I cannot wait to come back when I'm in town again to try other dishes! Our server Tommy was very sweet and patient.

Yelp
This place was just ok. Made reservations for 5:30pm for two on a Friday evening with no issues. We were seated upstairs inside. I think the place might have had a broken a/c because there were portable a/c units all over the place. Anyway, service was great. Food was just ok, nothing I would brag about and nothing I felt that I needed to go back for. We had the union roll, Japanese sweet potatoes, crispy zucchini, and seabass satay. The zucchini and sweet potatoes were tasty. The place was very busy when we left. Lots of parking available with option to valet.
google avatar

Jay G.

Yelp
Service was wonderful, the food is very good but the noise overcame a 5 star rating. Honestly I should have given a 2 point reduction for the noise level. We have the venison which was on a special menu which was delicious and had a delicious Barolo. AMY our server was OUTSTANDING, she will be the best reason to return.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a great find! One of the few places with availability on Mother's Day weekend, and we were able to book it easily through OpenTable. Parking was plentiful--valet is available, but we didn't end up needing it. The service was prompt and genuinely friendly. Our server anticipated our questions and offered thoughtful recommendations and best-sellers before we even asked. We started with the Wagyu beef skewer (3/5)--they looked great but the texture was tough and rubbery, so not our favorite. The Japanese sweet potato side, on the other hand, was a surprise hit (5/5)--something unique and worth trying. The sushi really stood out. We tried the Rainbow Roll and King Crab Roll (both 5/5), and they exceeded expectations. It was a little pricey for sushi, but totally worth it. For drinks, we had a dry red wine and the Bird of Paradise cocktail. Both were well-balanced and beautifully presented, though I personally prefer mine a bit sweeter and less heavy on the alcohol. The ambience was beautiful! classy, modern, and luxurious. There's also an outdoor patio that looked quieter and cozy, but since it was a little muggy out, we chose to sit indoors, which was perfect.

Yelp
We were celebrating our 18th Wedding Anniversary. So we walk into Union New American. Our experience waitor Gordy was awesome he was informed us of all the choices on menu. Food : We order Union Roll this was my favorite item . Union Fries the were ok nothing special 16oz Prime Ribeye steak with Chimichrri sauce . Steak was cooked well and it was seasoned with basic salt and pepper. seasonal cocktail Kentucky Blues cocktail. Vegetables fried rice was not that great tasted fresh however didn't compliment the steak very well. No mashed potatoes on the menu. Or baked potato. We did inform that this dinner was for anniversary so we received complimentary champagne & card . I personally would definitely be back to try their happy hour. Great ambiance, location and parking no issues .

Yelp
I returned for lunch and was greeted with a light and luxurious menu perfect for an executive meeting. I'm typically not an oyster person but the house-made saltines and mignonette laden with shallots suckered me in; I'm glad they did. Our waitress recommended the grilled shrimp, which is the perfect addition if you're looking to add another appetizer to the table that isn't too filling. The charcuterie plate was large enough to provide an interesting selection, while not being too much. I enjoyed the risotto special, it was perfectly cooked, but the small bites were the star of this meal.

Yelp
Nice brunch vibe & awesome atmosphere. Live saxophone player & oh yeah my Moscato was very sweet just like I like.

Yelp
I have been to Union now quite a few times and the food is always excellent now! I highly recommend the sushi, which is fresh and the rolls are all super tasty. I recently tried their Basque Cheesecake and this might be the best dessert in the entire Tampa Area! It's so creamy and smooth and the Guava Ice cream it's served with is the perfect addition! Ambiance is always top notch and our servers and bartenders are always very attentive to us!
google avatar

Yelp
Whenever we are in Tampa for business, this is one of our favorite spots for lunch. The food and service are always top notch. They also have a wicked good bourbon selection. Just a few pics.

Yelp
Best restaurant In Tampa! Everything from the ambiance, to the service, appetizers and dessert were simply the best. The bar is fantastic, and can accommodate requests. We tried the Old Fashion, Tropic Thunder, and Red Flag. All were superb! Not only did they look appealing, they were also perfectly balanced. It is hard to find a restaurant where you have all facets covered to perfection and Union does just that. Our server Garrett made amazing recommendations and nailed them all. He was attentive, social, and helpful towards my husbands gluten free allergy. Simply set a standard that all servers should follow. Everything is fresh as can be as most of their products are locally sourced. You can certainly taste the freshness in the food. My husband had the filet mignon and says it's the best he's ever had. Juicy, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear. I had the sea bass and it was delicious. Very fresh and flavorful. If you like cheesecake, you've never had anything like this. The recipe belongs to the general manager. Although it's not your traditional NY style cheesecake, it's kicked up to another level. It's a must have! It comes with a guava sorbet that is a beautiful pairing. Not too sweet and goes perfectly with the cheesecake. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service received. We look forward to returning!

Yelp
Did not come here just for the sushi but glad I did!!! The rolls are fresh, creative, and packed with flavor. Every bite feels thoughtfully crafted, and the presentation is beautiful. Great spot for a night out!

Yelp
Not very impressed! I've had better experiences past times. Our waiter was very inattentive and left all our empty glasses and plates on the table. It also took forever to get food and when we did the service team didn't even know what they were serving us. It was fine- usually it's better but was not impressed this time

Kiley F.

Yelp
I was visiting from out of town and Union New American immediately caught my eye. The food is AMAZING, and their happy hour is a fantastic deal if you're looking for a more budget-friendly option. I loved their Old Fashioned, and the tuna crispy rice is absolutely to die for. I also tried the ahi tuna salad-- delicious, though I only wish it came with a bit more tuna. The service is top-tier and the ambiance feels modern and business-professional. I loved this spot and would gladly come back. Whether you're in the area for business or pleasure, it's well worth a visit!

Jeanette O.

Yelp
Make sure when you go to this restaurant you go with cash, because the server with charge wrong ticket. She will charge food that you didn't consume. She was going to fix the ticket and ended charging 414 twice, she only started " Im sorry', manager came to the table and was not aware she made 2 mistake with the ticket. Allow her to make the mistake. I will not recommend this place, or just go with cash if you don't want the server take more money from your card then just say sorry. That's why we need to be careful with people like her. Terrible server.

Yelp
We have come here a hand-full of times as work-lunches when we have new hires and it never disappoints. This place has wonderful inside and outside seating areas. The food is good quality and the milk bread. Oh my gosh you HAVE to get the fluffy, sweet, and perfectly baked milk bread. The enchilada dish is also reallly good, rich and full of light yet complex flavors and textures. I also believe it is vegetarian. This is great American food experience! The quality of food is similar to Ocean Prime.
google avatar

Olesya P.

Yelp
Came here for brunch. We made reservation same day, and had no issue getting a table. Service was nice and attentive. Ambiance is definitely modern and chic. They have very beautiful outdoor dining and also very nice indoor. Second floor is for events I believe. The menu for brunch is not very long, and honestly I had trouble finding things I wanted. At the end we got crudo to start and I had crabcake Benedict and my husband had chilaquilas. Food was pretty good. We also had non alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately just 2 options for mocktails. Also just two options for a salad. Overall we had a great experience, I would like to come for a dinner one day. They had sushi selection for brunch, but even though I love sushi, I don't think I can do brunch sushi. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Staff is top notch, food is always amazing and their signature cocktails are soooo yummy. The vibes here are always lively even on a Monday night. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Yelp
Cute hidden spot in westshore area. Everything on the menu was delish. A little on the pricey side, but not too bad. The service was great and reccomended a few good sharing option

Yelp
Nice bar. Great service. Clean bathrooms. Love the happy hour! Love this vibe as well

Yelp
I came when this place first opened and i loved it then. I recently visited for my friend's birthday dinner and i personally enjoyed what i ordered...wagyu skewers and a hamachi tartar and a lychee martini. We sat outside on the downstairs patio and it was very nice actually, the layout seemed awkward to me but while sitting down the dining room flowed well. Additionally i had a view of their bar which i personally found to be so beautiful. Our service was good! Our waiter was very patient and made sure we had everything we needed. Towards the end we lost him and waited a while to check put but I emphasize with servers doing side work while still on the floor.
google avatar

Kelsey G.

Yelp
The decor and food overall great. After going for the first time, I came back like a week later. All of the seafood items we had were fantastic, I think this is definitely where they shine. The hamachi crudo and sea bass satay were my favorites. The only thing we did not enjoy was the beef short rib - usually short ribs are super tender but this was incredibly tough and dry. Definitely pass on this item. Service was good overall, however when we ordered a rye Manhattan our server recommended Angel's Envy, a decent brand so we went with that. When the bill came, we found out they were $34 a drink! For reference, a small bottle on angels envy is under $30 at the store. The manager did come by and offer a round of drinks on the house afterwards but we were already on our way out when they stopped by our table.

Yelp
A beautiful dining experience at Union. Met my friend here for dinner and the food was delicious. Tried the well known Parker house milk bread which was soft and had a beautiful formed crust. I can say we were both big fans of their king Cali roll and their speciality tuna crispy rice. The dry aged pork chop was perfectly cooked and the bourbon glaze added a nice touch. Definitely a cute spot for a girls night or date night. Also the have nice outside seating and rooftop seating.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
This is a dinner and brunch review. For brunch, I got the steak frites and espresso martini. For dinner, I got the cod and base note + milk bread. I prefer their dinner menu over their brunch. The cod was very well cooked however I think the tortellini needed cheese. The base note was well balanced and stiff (which I really liked). I did not particularly care for their brunch because the service was poor and the steak wasn't cooked to my liking. They also charged me $3 for steak sauce, despite me ordering steak for my entree. Overall, I'd go back and check out their happy hour.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
Yummy and good ambiance. Bathroom was not clean. Service was quick and attentive. Hand rolls during happy hour were the smallest thing. $10 happy hour drinks are nice, all drinks ordered were loved. Caramelized sweet potato's are a must.

Yelp
The good: -The sushi (bbq salmon roll) was outstanding! -the vibe is really terrific. Enjoyed the setting, music, staff, and very very clean. -service at the bar is fast and efficient The less than good: -ordered a hot tea (I was going zero proof that evening) which did not arrive. The bartender explained it away but also took it off the bill. The kitchen closes at 9 it seems which was odd, for a Thursday! Summary: I could see a nice dinner here with some friends after work, expect good service and good food.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
What is this odd location? How did my friends find this place? Don't know, but it was good! Chill environment, mood lighting, you can dress up, or relax seems up to you. Bar was full, it was raining g, so outside was empty but heat lamps for those who don't live the 5-6 nights we have below 50! Enjoyed the apps, oysters and the fish special - all were very tasty. Drinks and dinner was a tad expensive- perhaps this is the new norm? My pockets need to be deeper to frequent this place, but for a sassy night out, it hit the mark

Yelp
Union has been on my list for over a year now. Went for happy hour and sat at the bar. Right off the bat the ambiance is so cute! There's the patio, inside dining, the bar, and the rooftop. It's a great place to take a date, family, or colleagues. The bar tender has phenomenal service and knows how to make amazing cocktails. While the service, ambiance, and drinks were amazing the food was unfortunately lacking. I had such high expectations and I thought the food was subpar. The best food item were the sliders. Fries, skewers, and shrimp tempura were all average. I would definitely like to go back and try dinner though as I've heard amazing things about Union.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a reservation for upstairs. It was my man birthday and there were a few people we knew already sitting upstairs. Politely we asked to be moved so we didn't get interrupted. They moved us downstairs outside and it was PERFECT. The music the lighting the service the food. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
This is a place to be seen and enjoy good food and drinks. Wonderful space. Valet only parking up front. We sat upstairs and had impeccable service. The menu is varied and some great choices. Our table started off with a Union Board charcuterie that was real good between the cheese and meats. Milk bread was sweet and easy to finish with butter. The filet was delicious. Snapper could have used a bit more seasoning but flavorful. The pork chop was great with a sear and crust. Enjoy!

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. The milk bread is AMAZING!! A must try!

Yelp
I went to Union New American for a work lunch and was very impressed! Service was on point and the restaurant was devoted for Christmas and I loved it. I had the seasonal duck salad and a mezcal drink. Both were delicious! I would love to return.
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
Union is a fabulous new restaurant, and we need more places like it in the area! It's a modern upscale place with a nice rooftop. They have an amazing happy hour, so I recommend going at that time to check it out! I really recommend their sushi rolls and chicken wings, but you can't go wrong with anything. The service was really friendly and quick. Their strawberry dessert was really unique. Overall, I would def go back here for cheap eats and drinks during happy hour!
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Gorgeous place with exquisite guests, hosts and wait staff. Outrageous prices, but everything is perfect here, a jewel in the rough. Went all vegetarian this time, I would need to get a loan to eat animals here. Dining outside is fabulous!
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
I decided to pop in to Union for Happy Hour and was not disappointed! They had such unique options for drinks and food, which were all great. The espresso martini was delicious but so were the other cocktail options. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a super cute little rooftop area to lounge at. The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the service. When we were ordering, we kept getting rushed when the waitress would come up to us and then we would wait a long time for someone to come by. Apart from that, I honestly can't complain.
google avatar

Tahlia W.

Yelp
I don't know where to begin, everything was absolutely fantastic. The feel of the restaurant is modern and classy with a good ambiance. The music was a great touch and it wasn't too loud. We tried the hamachi crudo, Unuion roll, Caesar salad, 8oz filet, Cod, twice backed potato, cacio e pepe, chocolate cake, s'mores bread pudding, and the butter cake. Everything was phenomenal and we will definitely be returning. Andrea was our server and he really gave us over the top service, we will be asking for him everytime we dine there. He is probably the best server my party has ever dined with.

Yelp
Union New American is a fun, modern, and nice restaurant with fantastic service. The restaurant is very busy (especially the bar area), but once you get seated you almost forget about how busy it is. The food is good but tasted just shy of being really great to me. I also got the dessert cobbler but it lacked some texture and difference in flavors. The restaurant is still worth checking out a giving it a try.

Yelp
My overall experience was ok. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding either. I think it's a great location, with plenty of parking, and lots of seating. I love the mix of upstairs and downstairs seating, as well as outdoor seating. Perfect venue for like a company social. However, service was a little hit or miss. I made a reservation for dinner, but even upon arriving on time, they couldn't get us seated. They sent us upstairs, only for people upstairs to try to send us back downstairs. There was either a lack of communication between the upstairs and downstairs, or people didn't properly take down my reservation. Definitely did not make for a great start. Upon being seated, it took another 10 to 15 minutes before a server came to even pour waters and take appetizer orders. The food itself was ok. The bread order was solid, with good soft butter. The roasted shrimp and oysters were good as well. My salmon entree was alright though. Rice was fine, as was the sauce, but the salmon filet was a little over cooked in some parts. Overall, not the greatest experience. I hope they continue to improve and refine the service and quality of the restaurant. But for now, it does give me some pause on wanting to come back right away.

Yelp
Great happy hour menu with wonderful bar service. The bar gets very busy as it should because they have so much to choose from on the bar bites menu and the drink menu is quite creative. The margarita was perfect. Not too sweet, not too tart and I could taste the alcohol over the mixer. The tuna and salmon hand rolls were not traditional but they were so fresh and the portion size was perfect. A little messy but delicious. The hamache crudo was also different in usual presentation. The fish was chopped with little bits of cucumber and served on a green (edamame?) sauce with a large rice crackers. It was so good and fresh. The wagu beef satay was a little chewy and on the rare side of cook temp. It was a little small and I probably wouldn't order that again. I saw an order of duck fat fries come out and that looked like a total winner. Next time! Parking was a little challenging. I didn't go upstairs to that bar because the downstairs bar had plenty of seating at the very end of happy hour.

Yelp
The ambiance is great, fun modern vibe! The drinks are pricey, but it is a fun place to be, so it was a special occasion night out! One thing we were offered when we sat down was "would you like some bread at the table?" So we said yes, only to find out when we got the bill that the bread is $9. Normally when a server offers to bring bread it's assumed it is complimentary. So I wanted to share that because it was surprising we were charged $9 for bread. The food was very good, we both ordered Salmon , and they were accommodating to make my entree gluten free.

Yelp
We like this place. Had a birthday party here. They made everything magical including the flaming cake presentation! I would recommend the upstairs bar area to any newcomers. More private and "VIP" feeling. Very cool. They are set up for big events as well. The food and drinks are great... but pricey. 3 oysters for $20 was a bit much. Happy hour is excellent offering some drink selections at a good discount. Definitely get the espresso martini at happy hour. Service was prompt and attentive. The upstairs bartenders were superb. The manager for our party and the server were both excellent. It's on the verge of having the South Tampa snobby feel (Meat Market) but not quite yet so come while you can.
