The 17 Best Restaurants In Tampa

"Union is the new go-to spot in Westshore for lunch with your boss’s boss or a special occasion dinner—it’s the kind of place where you can eat sushi and steak at a table surrounded by velvet, marble, and leather. The menu is all over the place but it works, with plates like Iberico pork with shrimp fried rice, biscuits topped with ham and pimento cheese, and a really good hearth-roasted platter with lobster, king crab, clams, shrimp, and oysters. Wrap up the night with a post-dinner biscotti espresso martini or a sherry Old Fashioned on their covered rooftop lounge. " - cheryl rodewig

I had a fantastic experience dining outside at Union New American. The patio was comfortable and stylish, with warm lighting and sleek wooden furniture that created a relaxed, upscale vibe. The menu offered an appealing mix of options: beautifully plated sushi rolls with fresh tuna, salmon, and creamy avocado; tender, perfectly seared steak with a roasted pepper and bright sauce; and incredibly fluffy, golden bread served with rich, whipped butter. The service was attentive, and everything was presented with care—from the neat chopstick holders to the crisp bottled water service. Our meal felt like a true treat, balancing global flavors with modern American polish. The crispy fingerling potatoes in a vibrant sauce were especially memorable—generously portioned and topped with a drizzle of creamy dressing. Even the iced coffee was thoughtfully prepared, with plenty of ice and a smooth, layered look that was refreshing on the outdoor patio. Union New American does a wonderful job of blending familiar comforts with creative flair, making it a great choice for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience.

I recently visited this restaurant recently, and I must say the experience was impressive from start to finish. The interior ambiance was warm and inviting, with elegant décor and plenty of space across its two floors, giving it a grand yet comfortable feel. Service was exceptional — the staff was attentive, friendly, and well-informed about the menu. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. The blackened shrimp had just the right amount of spice, the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the cod was tender and flavorful. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, while the rich chocolate cake provided the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The cocktails were equally delightful, well-crafted and balanced. Valet parking was convenient and reasonably priced at $6, adding to the overall ease of the visit. If you’re looking for a spacious spot with great food, drinks, and service, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Tried this place for the first time Easter Sunday for brunch. Highly recommend reservations, it was pretty packed. Had a 1 pm reservation and were seated right at 1pm. We were a party of 8. Ordered several small plates, my favorites are the blue crab rangoon dip and pork belly tacos but everything was delicious. Service was spectacular, although super busy didn't wait long for food or drinks. There was a guitar player that enhanced the vibe and it was perfect music for brunch. For our meals we tried the filet, salmon BBQ bowl, Korean fried chicken and waffles, avocado toast, and chilaquiles. All very good. The lychee martini was also very tasty! For dessert highly recommend the butter cake. Will definitely be coming back on a Friday or Saturday evening for the live music and to try dinner!

The food is outstanding! We had the honor of meeting one of the chefs and the staff. They were so knowledgeable about the food and drinks, we took recommendations all night. I would drive over and hour again just to come here.

The food and cocktails were amazing. The happy hour was very generously priced with great options. The beginning of our dining experience was less than ideal. We came before 4PM and the restaurant was pretty slow. Despite the slower time, it took more than 5 minutes to get seated. I specifically asked for a happy hour menu since I heard they had a great happy hour. Once finally seated it took almost 10 minutes for wait staff to provide water and was then able to get a HH menu. Once we finally were waited on with a server, the service was better. The food was great and it was a nice ambience. At the start of the meal some really intense heavy rock music was played at a very high volume that made it hard to hear one another and thankfully later into the meal the music changed to a lower volume and music genre that better fit the vibes of this place.

Google
Enjoyed a great happy hour at the bar. All the dishes were tasty and we had espresso martinis and old fashioned. All the staff were great however, Nicholas was worth a special shout out. I've worked in hospitality my whole life I can say with sincerity that Nicholas is a true gem! We would come back just to enjoy his service again. See you again soon!

First time dining here, it opened close to my workplace and I drove past it often and wanted to check it out. We went on a Sunday around 7pm. Service was quite slow despite it not being very busy. Our server did have a large table right next to us that they were tending to, but it took nearly 30 minutes to get our drinks delivered from the bar. For apps I got the Hamachi Crudo and my husband had the grilled artichokes . I liked my app a lot, however it took awhile for us to get our food . For entrees I'd ordered the Herb crusted black cod but was later informed they had no more . Our server offered the salmon as a substitute. It was a perfectly fine piece of fish but nothing to write home about , the sauce was good but there was very little of it. My husband had the gulf snapper and it was very dry. We told the manager and he apologized and offered to have another recooked be my husband declined, because we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes . The manager came around and apologized again for the fish and offered a free dessert if the house. We got the basque cheesecake which was probably the highlight of the meal, so creamy , and so rich. I'd like to say we'll go back but I'm not so sure. Maybe just for the cheesecake and drinks .

Google
We had a very good dining experience. For starters we had the Union board (charcuterie). It consisted of 3 types of cheeses. 3 types cured meat, olives, almonds, crackers , cornichons and crackers. Very average. For our meals we ordered Gulf snapper, fired roasted shrimp - both were cooked to perfection and very well seasoned, and a side of veggie fried rice. Our server Garrett was very attentive and gave good recommendations. Decor was very contemporary and fresh. My only negative comment is that the music was a bit too loud. I would come back here again.

Yelp
1st time here - for my Birthday! This place is AMAZING!!!! Ryan our waiter was awesome! Elena the manager was wonderful! The food was spectacular! Had the snapper and my husband had the filet appetizers, prosecco, coffee, espresso martini, chocolate cake! We will definitely be back and tell all our friends!

Yelp
Best restaurant In Tampa! Everything from the ambiance, to the service, appetizers and dessert were simply the best. The bar is fantastic, and can accommodate requests. We tried the Old Fashion, Tropic Thunder, and Red Flag. All were superb! Not only did they look appealing, they were also perfectly balanced. It is hard to find a restaurant where you have all facets covered to perfection and Union does just that. Our server Garrett made amazing recommendations and nailed them all. He was attentive, social, and helpful towards my husbands gluten free allergy. Simply set a standard that all servers should follow. Everything is fresh as can be as most of their products are locally sourced. You can certainly taste the freshness in the food. My husband had the filet mignon and says it's the best he's ever had. Juicy, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear. I had the sea bass and it was delicious. Very fresh and flavorful. If you like cheesecake, you've never had anything like this. The recipe belongs to the general manager. Although it's not your traditional NY style cheesecake, it's kicked up to another level. It's a must have! It comes with a guava sorbet that is a beautiful pairing. Not too sweet and goes perfectly with the cheesecake. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service received. We look forward to returning!

Yelp
Went here for a friend's birthday and it was good, but not anything that I would go out of my way for. IMO, prices were on the expensive side for the portions served. We did leave here with room in our bellies for more food even after ordering a good amount items. We started off with cocktails: Lychee Lover Martini, Kentucky Blues, and Bird of Paradise - all were delicious. We then ordered a couple of apps. The stand outs were: PARKER HOUSE MILK BREAD, WAGYU  BEEF TARTARE, and the HAMACHI CRUDO. After that, we ordered a couple of entrees and of all that we ordered, the 16 OZ PRIME RIBEYE is the one we recommend the most. The GULF SNAPPER was good, but at nearly $40 for a SNAPPER... can't recommend that. We also ordered a couple of the veggie sides, and we did love the JAPANESE SWEET POTATO and the HEARTH GRILLED MUSHROOMS. Overall, it was a nice place to try and cross off our list but most likely wouldn't be back. The prices and the fact that our entire table was still hungry is a good enough reason for us.

Yelp
We needed a place to grab a bite before our flight out of Tampa and stumbled upon this spot--just five minutes from the airport. It's a chic and stylish place with a great vibe. We sat upstairs which has a cozy enclosed patio, full bar, and food service. There was a live guitarist playing to music which was really nice! The drinks and cocktails were solid, and the breakfast food was decent. My friend especially loved the hot Nashville chicken. One surprising highlight--the bathroom! It's gender-neutral, beautifully designed with textured walls and Italian tapestry. The décor throughout the space was thoughtfully done. Really enjoyed the experience!

Yelp
Such a great find! One of the few places with availability on Mother's Day weekend, and we were able to book it easily through OpenTable. Parking was plentiful--valet is available, but we didn't end up needing it. The service was prompt and genuinely friendly. Our server anticipated our questions and offered thoughtful recommendations and best-sellers before we even asked. We started with the Wagyu beef skewer (3/5)--they looked great but the texture was tough and rubbery, so not our favorite. The Japanese sweet potato side, on the other hand, was a surprise hit (5/5)--something unique and worth trying. The sushi really stood out. We tried the Rainbow Roll and King Crab Roll (both 5/5), and they exceeded expectations. It was a little pricey for sushi, but totally worth it. For drinks, we had a dry red wine and the Bird of Paradise cocktail. Both were well-balanced and beautifully presented, though I personally prefer mine a bit sweeter and less heavy on the alcohol. The ambience was beautiful! classy, modern, and luxurious. There's also an outdoor patio that looked quieter and cozy, but since it was a little muggy out, we chose to sit indoors, which was perfect.

Yelp
I have been to Union now quite a few times and the food is always excellent now! I highly recommend the sushi, which is fresh and the rolls are all super tasty. I recently tried their Basque Cheesecake and this might be the best dessert in the entire Tampa Area! It's so creamy and smooth and the Guava Ice cream it's served with is the perfect addition! Ambiance is always top notch and our servers and bartenders are always very attentive to us!

Yelp
We were celebrating our 18th Wedding Anniversary. So we walk into Union New American. Our experience waitor Gordy was awesome he was informed us of all the choices on menu. Food : We order Union Roll this was my favorite item . Union Fries the were ok nothing special 16oz Prime Ribeye steak with Chimichrri sauce . Steak was cooked well and it was seasoned with basic salt and pepper. seasonal cocktail Kentucky Blues cocktail. Vegetables fried rice was not that great tasted fresh however didn't compliment the steak very well. No mashed potatoes on the menu. Or baked potato. We did inform that this dinner was for anniversary so we received complimentary champagne & card . I personally would definitely be back to try their happy hour. Great ambiance, location and parking no issues .

Yelp
I returned for lunch and was greeted with a light and luxurious menu perfect for an executive meeting. I'm typically not an oyster person but the house-made saltines and mignonette laden with shallots suckered me in; I'm glad they did. Our waitress recommended the grilled shrimp, which is the perfect addition if you're looking to add another appetizer to the table that isn't too filling. The charcuterie plate was large enough to provide an interesting selection, while not being too much. I enjoyed the risotto special, it was perfectly cooked, but the small bites were the star of this meal.

Yelp
Not very impressed! I've had better experiences past times. Our waiter was very inattentive and left all our empty glasses and plates on the table. It also took forever to get food and when we did the service team didn't even know what they were serving us. It was fine- usually it's better but was not impressed this time

Yelp
We have come here a hand-full of times as work-lunches when we have new hires and it never disappoints. This place has wonderful inside and outside seating areas. The food is good quality and the milk bread. Oh my gosh you HAVE to get the fluffy, sweet, and perfectly baked milk bread. The enchilada dish is also reallly good, rich and full of light yet complex flavors and textures. I also believe it is vegetarian. This is great American food experience! The quality of food is similar to Ocean Prime.

Yelp
Cute hidden spot in westshore area. Everything on the menu was delish. A little on the pricey side, but not too bad. The service was great and reccomended a few good sharing option
google avatar

Suzanne K.

Yelp
The ambiance is great, fun modern vibe! The drinks are pricey, but it is a fun place to be, so it was a special occasion night out! One thing we were offered when we sat down was "would you like some bread at the table?" So we said yes, only to find out when we got the bill that the bread is $9. Normally when a server offers to bring bread it's assumed it is complimentary. So I wanted to share that because it was surprising we were charged $9 for bread. The food was very good, we both ordered Salmon , and they were accommodating to make my entree gluten free.

Yelp
Nice bar. Great service. Clean bathrooms. Love the happy hour! Love this vibe as well

Yelp
I came when this place first opened and i loved it then. I recently visited for my friend's birthday dinner and i personally enjoyed what i ordered...wagyu skewers and a hamachi tartar and a lychee martini. We sat outside on the downstairs patio and it was very nice actually, the layout seemed awkward to me but while sitting down the dining room flowed well. Additionally i had a view of their bar which i personally found to be so beautiful. Our service was good! Our waiter was very patient and made sure we had everything we needed. Towards the end we lost him and waited a while to check put but I emphasize with servers doing side work while still on the floor.

Yelp
Came here for brunch. We made reservation same day, and had no issue getting a table. Service was nice and attentive. Ambiance is definitely modern and chic. They have very beautiful outdoor dining and also very nice indoor. Second floor is for events I believe. The menu for brunch is not very long, and honestly I had trouble finding things I wanted. At the end we got crudo to start and I had crabcake Benedict and my husband had chilaquilas. Food was pretty good. We also had non alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately just 2 options for mocktails. Also just two options for a salad. Overall we had a great experience, I would like to come for a dinner one day. They had sushi selection for brunch, but even though I love sushi, I don't think I can do brunch sushi. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
Yummy and good ambiance. Bathroom was not clean. Service was quick and attentive. Hand rolls during happy hour were the smallest thing. $10 happy hour drinks are nice, all drinks ordered were loved. Caramelized sweet potato's are a must.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
This is a dinner and brunch review. For brunch, I got the steak frites and espresso martini. For dinner, I got the cod and base note + milk bread. I prefer their dinner menu over their brunch. The cod was very well cooked however I think the tortellini needed cheese. The base note was well balanced and stiff (which I really liked). I did not particularly care for their brunch because the service was poor and the steak wasn't cooked to my liking. They also charged me $3 for steak sauce, despite me ordering steak for my entree. Overall, I'd go back and check out their happy hour.

Yelp
The good: -The sushi (bbq salmon roll) was outstanding! -the vibe is really terrific. Enjoyed the setting, music, staff, and very very clean. -service at the bar is fast and efficient The less than good: -ordered a hot tea (I was going zero proof that evening) which did not arrive. The bartender explained it away but also took it off the bill. The kitchen closes at 9 it seems which was odd, for a Thursday! Summary: I could see a nice dinner here with some friends after work, expect good service and good food.
google avatar

Yelp
A beautiful dining experience at Union. Met my friend here for dinner and the food was delicious. Tried the well known Parker house milk bread which was soft and had a beautiful formed crust. I can say we were both big fans of their king Cali roll and their speciality tuna crispy rice. The dry aged pork chop was perfectly cooked and the bourbon glaze added a nice touch. Definitely a cute spot for a girls night or date night. Also the have nice outside seating and rooftop seating.
google avatar

Kelsey G.

Yelp
The decor and food overall great. After going for the first time, I came back like a week later. All of the seafood items we had were fantastic, I think this is definitely where they shine. The hamachi crudo and sea bass satay were my favorites. The only thing we did not enjoy was the beef short rib - usually short ribs are super tender but this was incredibly tough and dry. Definitely pass on this item. Service was good overall, however when we ordered a rye Manhattan our server recommended Angel's Envy, a decent brand so we went with that. When the bill came, we found out they were $34 a drink! For reference, a small bottle on angels envy is under $30 at the store. The manager did come by and offer a round of drinks on the house afterwards but we were already on our way out when they stopped by our table.

Yelp
My overall experience was ok. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding either. I think it's a great location, with plenty of parking, and lots of seating. I love the mix of upstairs and downstairs seating, as well as outdoor seating. Perfect venue for like a company social. However, service was a little hit or miss. I made a reservation for dinner, but even upon arriving on time, they couldn't get us seated. They sent us upstairs, only for people upstairs to try to send us back downstairs. There was either a lack of communication between the upstairs and downstairs, or people didn't properly take down my reservation. Definitely did not make for a great start. Upon being seated, it took another 10 to 15 minutes before a server came to even pour waters and take appetizer orders. The food itself was ok. The bread order was solid, with good soft butter. The roasted shrimp and oysters were good as well. My salmon entree was alright though. Rice was fine, as was the sauce, but the salmon filet was a little over cooked in some parts. Overall, not the greatest experience. I hope they continue to improve and refine the service and quality of the restaurant. But for now, it does give me some pause on wanting to come back right away.

Yelp
What is this odd location? How did my friends find this place? Don't know, but it was good! Chill environment, mood lighting, you can dress up, or relax seems up to you. Bar was full, it was raining g, so outside was empty but heat lamps for those who don't live the 5-6 nights we have below 50! Enjoyed the apps, oysters and the fish special - all were very tasty. Drinks and dinner was a tad expensive- perhaps this is the new norm? My pockets need to be deeper to frequent this place, but for a sassy night out, it hit the mark

Michael H.

Yelp
First time eating here and the food did not disappoint! The drinks were amazing too and Elias was phenomenal. If you're in the Tampa area and looking for a good spot to eat I recommend.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Had a reservation for upstairs. It was my man birthday and there were a few people we knew already sitting upstairs. Politely we asked to be moved so we didn't get interrupted. They moved us downstairs outside and it was PERFECT. The music the lighting the service the food. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
Union has been on my list for over a year now. Went for happy hour and sat at the bar. Right off the bat the ambiance is so cute! There's the patio, inside dining, the bar, and the rooftop. It's a great place to take a date, family, or colleagues. The bar tender has phenomenal service and knows how to make amazing cocktails. While the service, ambiance, and drinks were amazing the food was unfortunately lacking. I had such high expectations and I thought the food was subpar. The best food item were the sliders. Fries, skewers, and shrimp tempura were all average. I would definitely like to go back and try dinner though as I've heard amazing things about Union.
google avatar

Clarence E.

Yelp
This is a place to be seen and enjoy good food and drinks. Wonderful space. Valet only parking up front. We sat upstairs and had impeccable service. The menu is varied and some great choices. Our table started off with a Union Board charcuterie that was real good between the cheese and meats. Milk bread was sweet and easy to finish with butter. The filet was delicious. Snapper could have used a bit more seasoning but flavorful. The pork chop was great with a sear and crust. Enjoy!

Yelp
Gorgeous place with exquisite guests, hosts and wait staff. Outrageous prices, but everything is perfect here, a jewel in the rough. Went all vegetarian this time, I would need to get a loan to eat animals here. Dining outside is fabulous!
google avatar

Candace S.

Yelp
I went to Union New American for a work lunch and was very impressed! Service was on point and the restaurant was devoted for Christmas and I loved it. I had the seasonal duck salad and a mezcal drink. Both were delicious! I would love to return.
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
Union is a fabulous new restaurant, and we need more places like it in the area! It's a modern upscale place with a nice rooftop. They have an amazing happy hour, so I recommend going at that time to check it out! I really recommend their sushi rolls and chicken wings, but you can't go wrong with anything. The service was really friendly and quick. Their strawberry dessert was really unique. Overall, I would def go back here for cheap eats and drinks during happy hour!
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
I decided to pop in to Union for Happy Hour and was not disappointed! They had such unique options for drinks and food, which were all great. The espresso martini was delicious but so were the other cocktail options. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a super cute little rooftop area to lounge at. The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the service. When we were ordering, we kept getting rushed when the waitress would come up to us and then we would wait a long time for someone to come by. Apart from that, I honestly can't complain.

ashley d.

Yelp
Food was delicious!! For appetizers we got crispy salmon rice and sea bass satay. Both AMAZING like some of the best appetizers I've ever had. Then I got the chicken schnitzel super good. For sides we got the fries (AMAZING) and the patatas so good. We also got the steak and the snapper- also super super good. No complaints! Our waitress was named Abby and was super knowledgeable and nice! Will come again :)
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know where to begin, everything was absolutely fantastic. The feel of the restaurant is modern and classy with a good ambiance. The music was a great touch and it wasn't too loud. We tried the hamachi crudo, Unuion roll, Caesar salad, 8oz filet, Cod, twice backed potato, cacio e pepe, chocolate cake, s'mores bread pudding, and the butter cake. Everything was phenomenal and we will definitely be returning. Andrea was our server and he really gave us over the top service, we will be asking for him everytime we dine there. He is probably the best server my party has ever dined with.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Great happy hour menu with wonderful bar service. The bar gets very busy as it should because they have so much to choose from on the bar bites menu and the drink menu is quite creative. The margarita was perfect. Not too sweet, not too tart and I could taste the alcohol over the mixer. The tuna and salmon hand rolls were not traditional but they were so fresh and the portion size was perfect. A little messy but delicious. The hamache crudo was also different in usual presentation. The fish was chopped with little bits of cucumber and served on a green (edamame?) sauce with a large rice crackers. It was so good and fresh. The wagu beef satay was a little chewy and on the rare side of cook temp. It was a little small and I probably wouldn't order that again. I saw an order of duck fat fries come out and that looked like a total winner. Next time! Parking was a little challenging. I didn't go upstairs to that bar because the downstairs bar had plenty of seating at the very end of happy hour.
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
We like this place. Had a birthday party here. They made everything magical including the flaming cake presentation! I would recommend the upstairs bar area to any newcomers. More private and "VIP" feeling. Very cool. They are set up for big events as well. The food and drinks are great... but pricey. 3 oysters for $20 was a bit much. Happy hour is excellent offering some drink selections at a good discount. Definitely get the espresso martini at happy hour. Service was prompt and attentive. The upstairs bartenders were superb. The manager for our party and the server were both excellent. It's on the verge of having the South Tampa snobby feel (Meat Market) but not quite yet so come while you can.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Realistically I give Union a 4.5 but because the ambiance and service was above and beyond I give it a 5/5! When we walked in the general manager Steve rode the elevator with us and showed us to the upstairs bar area. The upstairs had live music and it was great! The bar has two large TVs and plenty of bartenders who were very hard working. They really go above and beyond! My one complaint would be the food. All of our dishes came out a little cold. Our favorite thing was the burger! The tuna roll was also very very good! The ambiance and the service make this place worth coming back!!

Yelp
Sat outside and it was lovely, my favorite parts were the milk bread and the cocktails, I also had a king crab roll which was standard.

Yelp
After browsing for new dining experiences in Florida, I came across Union New American, which cuisine and aesthetics drew my eye quickly. The interior of the restaurant is quite lively, with an open bar and seating neighboring an active kitchen. Overall once you find your seat it's easy to relax and get ready for some high-quality food. The lineup for today included bone in short ribs with bao buns, crunchy tuna rolls sushi, and to top it off smores bread pudding. For drinks I had a sprite, cool crips, and bottled. The short rib was crispy and tender, which complemented the soft and pliable steamed bao bun, with kimchi and cucumbers making for refreshing toppings. When it comes to the crunchy tuna roll, I was pleasantly met with some rich tuna colored a deep ruby red, over rice and avocado. Last but certainty not least the desert, my favorite part of every dining experience, rich chocolate, soft bread pudding, and smores sauce which sent my taste buds into a joy fit for the holidays. The service although somewhat slow at first which picked up overtime, when we needed something, we got it no issue and the attitude of our waiter was respectful and fair. Overall, I'm giving it a 4/5 stars and will be coming back

Yelp
Came for brunch and everything we tried was really good. Our server was excellent and he made lots of recommendations. Definitely want to try more items next time. Loved the french toast. The ambiance is really nice but the location is just okay. The ambiance would be even better if the location was downtown or something other than a parking lot. Other than that, it's a great spot for a good meal.

Alex F.

Yelp
The aesthetic and vibe at this spot is great! The food was plated beautifully but would have to say it lacked a whole lot of flavor. All the dishes that came out were stunning and the drinks were delicious. The service was very professional and kind. I'll definitely go back and try to get something different.

Yelp
wow, I finally made it to Union! Super cute spot and we made it for happy hour. We ordered the sliders and sushi but mostly enjoyed drinks. Spicy margaritas that honestly weren't spicy at all. But still good. Lychee martinis which were so amazing that I had to drink two. our friends ordered an old-fashioned, that looked pretty strong, which is always good & great drink presentations . overall, beautiful environment and wonderful service. I recommend going for happy hour with friends or on a date and definitely check out the booths- They looked stunning from where we sat.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Union and it was a great visit. My friend and I had lunch. We initially were going to sit outside, but my friend has a sensitive nose and smelled the dog that was sitting nearby -- we ended up sitting inside near the window in the booths. I love that they have such great seating options. Whether you're alone, with a group or on a date, they have the perfect seating. There was live music and he sounded amazing and it wasn't too loud at all. It literally sounded like it was the radio playing over the loud speaker. The food -- the MILK BREAD!! I would come here for the milk bread alone, it was the perfect loaf of bread and butter. We ordered some to go and it was just as good once we got it home and heated up. I ordered the Chicken sandwich (I didn't care for the pickles, had a weird taste) and my friend ordered the bbq salmon (I think) and she really enjoyed it. I did NOT care for the chocolate cookies (which were recommended to us twice) but they were not good (to me). They are really big and sharable, so two ppl can more than enjoy it together. It comes with milk and the milk was good lol. The drinks! VERY GOOD! I ordered a lemon drop martini, sugar rim and my friend order Prosecco and a French 75. It was all delicious. The service was really good, enjoyed everyone. They do NOT have a happy hour (we asked), but if they did, it would top this place off. When we were leaving, I noticed they had a rooftop situation. so when I go back, we will be sitting in the rooftop area for sure. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Fantastic spot for happy hour (M-F 3-6pm). The Lychee Lover martini is excellent...a little sweet, but that's to be expected with lychee. Great atmosphere and decor...not super noisy, considering occupancy -- you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice.

Yelp
I was in Tampa for business and happened to stumble across Union--and I loved it! I sat at the bar, and everything was fantastic. The drinks were amazing, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was also top-notch. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Honestly, I wish I could pack the restaurant up and take it back to DC with me!

Yelp
While the rolls are absolutely mouthwatering, I overall do not find this restaurant to be as "worth it" as others. It has a cool vibe, but the service has been lacking on both occasions that I dined here. The salmon is good, but nothing amazing. The shrimp appetizer is actually quite yummy. Overall, it has its pro's and con's but I'd much rather dine elsewhere in Tampa.

Yelp
Went to celebrate with Anniversary at Union and had a great experience. We had reservations and I'm glad we did because it was packed!!!! We opted to sit inside so we did have to wait for a table. We sat at the bar to wait and ordered drinks. Although our bartender wasn't that friendly, Diana, who was another bartender was way more personable and offered us a free charcuterie board. Our server was also amazing! Garrett L had a memorable, positive personality. He offered his recommendations and checked in appropriately at the table. The gulf snapper did lack some flavor, which was a bit disappointing but the union board was delicious. I'm sure we will be back to try to sushi!

Yelp
Really nice place. Beautifully decorated and very upscale and modern feel! Very nice for a date night or birthday dinner. The service is above and beyond. Our waiter was so lovely and knowledgeable on the whole menu and knew what to recommend. The food is very unique and has many different spins on classic favorites and a broad spectrum of many different cuisines. Something for everyone. I will say, the down side is it is EXPENSIVE. So it's more of a special occasion dining experience.

Yelp
Union is one of my favorite places! Just stopped in to try their brunch recently and it was sooo good! I had the shrimp and grits, sticky bun, steak frites, egg sabayon. I highly recommend, the dining experience never seems to disappoint me and I love dining in luxury. 10/10 on everything !

Yelp
I came here for a girls night and it was awesome! I had heard great things, but never tried it. I was so pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and our waiter was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. All of the food was great too. We shared many apps and small plates, as well as each got different cocktails. Everyone was so happy with the food, drinks, and service. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Yelp
This is an update to a previous review and I'm giving it that extra star to make it a 5 star experience. Having returned 3 other times since my last review, it's been fantastic every time. Food, drinks and service have exceeded each visit and can't wait to see what other delicious things get added to the menu in 2025.
