Union Park Pizza

This was our favorite place we ate while visiting Boston! We met Joe and he was so kind and helpful. The Mags supreme pizza was soo good! Ask for their homemade ranch and pizza oil. Seriously the best pizza we’ve had! 10/10 recommend.

This is the pizza that redeemed Boston pizza for us. My husband and I had travel in for a conference and tried a local "popular" pizza that had no flavor. We decided to try Union Park after reading the reviews and the employee confidence that this would be amazing pizza sold us. This pizza has flavor and character and the staff and atmosphere is cozy and relax.

Excellent service +delicious pizza=5⭐️! We called ahead to order because we had a group of 12 kids and 2 adults. We sat outside, and the owner(?) brought out the pizzas, drinks, plates, and napkins. He was the friendliest person ever! He made sure we were all set and even chatted with us for a bit. The pizza was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back if we're in the area again. He knows the secret to a successful business: people might forget the taste of your food, but they'll never forget how they were treated. Much success to you!

Walked in owner greeted us and was super helpful and nice. We try to visit Boston from Oklahoma once a year and try to always eat at new places, but we will most definitely eat here again.

I’ve stopped here a few times on my errands to grab a quick bite. It’s always busy and although I’m by myself they always find a spot for me and their staff are super friendly. They bring out the food. Most places call you up and being in Boston for a long time, we are known for not having the friendliest personalities. So it’s a nice change. Also, they clean the tables as soon as people leave, so that is a plus. You don’t sit down at a dirty table even when it’s busy. So getting a yummy meal is even better, when you enjoy where you are at. Just walking by it puts a smile on my face. A+++

This is my second time ordering from Union Park Pizza while visiting Boston, and both times have been excellent! The pizza is absolutely amazing—great crust, awesome toppings options and the pizza was full of flavor. The wings are also delicious, cooked perfectly and delicious. Delivery has been fast and reliable, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, Union Park Pizza has quickly become a go-to spot for me in the city, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality pizza and great service. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

The experience was simply outstanding. The place was spotless, welcoming, and the service was exceptional. The pizzas were incredibly delicious truly unforgettable. But the highlight of the night was Mr. Joe, who was unbelievably attentive, kind, and dedicated. Definitely a spot you’ll want to come back to again and again.

I had such a great experience! I placed an order for a pizza without sausage since my friend has a fennel seed allergy, and I included a note about it. Shortly after, the restaurant actually called me directly to let me know that another ingredient on the pizza also contained fennel. I was so impressed—they not only caught it, but they took the time to adjust the order and refund the difference. It was such a relief to see how careful and accommodating they were. Amazing customer service and attention to detail—you don’t always find that these days. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Clean, quick and good. Who doesn't love a large slice of pizza when you are on the go. Came in maybe 10-15 after opening and pizza was already hot and ready which was great for me because I didn't have a lot of time. Not the large spot but the vibes to grab and beer and slice of pizza is there. Next time I will try a calzone Give it a go.

its really FREAKING good. i got the too-good-to-go deal which is $4 for 3 cold slices. i got 3 slices of BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZAAA and it was awesome! it made three meals which is a lot its amazing. you should go there. :)

Quick, flavorful, affordable individuals slices of pizza available here. This was perfect for us as we didn't have much time before we needed to head to the airport. We enjoyed eating outside and watching the Newbury St. bustle. If you at all like Buffalo Chicken, highly recommend that slice!

Nothing to write home about but decent pizza by the slice. Located in Back Bay and in nice weather it is great to sit outside.

I popped in here as I was walking around Newbury Street. It's a very cute little space, with a few tables outside and a few tables inside. They sell pizza by the slice and pie, I believe and the service was great. I got one plain slice and then a slice with some veggies on it and I really enjoyed them. Would definitely come back again the next time I'm in the area.

Walking in we were greeted and given a quick rundown of how to order and left to decide our choices Honestly we got a large and split it halfway and destroyed it in about 10 minutes. I'm partially in a food coma leaving this review but 10/10 recommend. Also try the house hot oil

Wow, another great slice in Boston! The place is very small and the staff is friendly. i had a slice of cheese and it was delicious, the perfect blend of cheese, the undercarriage was great and the crust is crispy. Mine had a couple of charred bubbles and those really added to the flavor, well done!

My new favorite pizza spot. I had no idea this gem would be hiding on Newbury. You don't imagine you're going to find a pizza place this good in Boston. This area is home to many expensive and trendy restaurants, but you can't go wrong with the old faithful pizza option. The pizza is crisp and awesome. Forget about all that nonsense around the "flop" that you hear about in pizza reviews. This pizza is what pizza should be. It's not swimming in cheese and oil. It's the ideal combination that tastes like a real chef made it. This is high quality dough, cooked to a perfect crisp. The toppings are awesome. This isn't your grandfather's pizzeria where they slap some pepperoni on a slice. This is pizza made with love and passion. I was really impressed. The owner is a super nice dude too. I will make a point to frequent this place because it's awesome. Staff is so freaking friendly too. The inside is small but has a few tables. It's definitely worth taking the time to come here. The pizza is that darn delicious.

There's a reason this place is on Yelp's Top 100 restaurants list this past year. It's well deserved! The restaurant is super small and cozy. It's tucked away in a basement on Newbury Street. I would imagine it's hard to find a seat during peak busy hours. The service was phenomenal. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. It was really easy to place a to-go order online and pick up at the counter. The pizza was perfection. I got the meatball pizza: The thin crust is crispy with a hint of char. Savory and sweet sauce. Delicious mounds of ricotta and meatballs scattered generously. The 10 inch personal size was a great huge lunch, and could have been shared with a friend! If you live in the area or you happen to be in the Back Bay for a conference, definitely give this place a try!

This is a good slice of pizza, way better than the somewhat nearby Dirty Water Dough, whom I find greasy. Good balance of sauce and cheese, thin and crispy, good sauce flavor. This is the place to go for a pizza slice if near Newbury St.

I knew I had to check this place out when I saw it was the only Massachusetts restaurant to make the 2023 "Yelp Top 100 List". They offer slices and full pies, and you order at their counter and then they will bring the pizza to you. I ordered a slice of buffalo chicken as well as a slice of cheese. They were pretty big and it filled me up. I liked the ranch sauce on top of the buffalo slice. They were also cooked perfectly, not burnt at all. Only thing that can be tough is the seating. It's limited with only about 6 tables. Luckily we were able to find one on a Saturday night. Also beware they have hanging plants over some of the tables which I hit my head on when standing up...lol. But, on a cold night in Boston, this place was so cozy! Overall pretty good pizza and cool to see that this made the Top 100 list.

Food is wonderful, 5 stars. Staff is efficient and helpful. But sitting inside is a danger to hearing damage. Apple Watch kept warning about loud noise environment. It's their place and they set environment. So be forewarned or bring earplugs.

Ownerships response to my review. My total was 38 before tip. As I said it's overpriced and for that price a side of ranch seems like a reasonable request. The owners response tells me everything I need to know. "Our most expensive pizza is $31, and the ranch is home made and is expensive to produce. There is plenty of cheap pizza everywhere Seth, go someplace else next time."

Delicious pizza, not crowded on a Thursday night. The highlight was the garlic Knot puffs. DO NOT skip these!!! 10" is a good size for one person. Indoor and outdoor seating, but limited.

Had a cheese and a pepperoni both were great from the cheese to the sauce which I loved to the crust tasty and chewy in the best way. The service is also exceptional. Kudos to the young lady who attended me she was very kind.

Bummer that they wouldn't charge and serve me for the two beers I wanted. I asked to charge me once and deliver the second beer after I finish the first to comply with the law that says two beer per serving is a max. I'm traveling for work. Tried to explain that I can't expense multiple receipts. They don't care whatsoever. Bummer I tipped well. Wont be back.

Best pizza I've ever had in Boston. I stopped by just for some to-go slices whilst walking around Newbury Street and found their service to be friendly and quick. The style of pizza is very similar to something you might find in NYC, not-too-doughy thin, crispy, expertly structured, and seasoned perfectly. I can't wait for my next chance to eat here and try their fun selection of craft beers.

Limited seating, but service was good. Meat Lover: The homemade sausage was so delicious. The confit bacon was really good as well. Mags Supreme: This one was pretty good, too. It was packed full of veggies. The sausage here was delicious as well. Crust was very nice on both of them. I think Ciao in Everett is still a bit better, but this is definitely a solid contender.

Oh doggy. Love the Buffalo WIngs Pizzas and the Pepperoni Pizzas. We stopped here for 4 large pizzas with a part of 6 people. Our first time here and it was a blast. NIce cozy and relaxing looking family type of pizza place, We all drank a few beers with some pizza. Great taste in the Buffalo Chicken pizza as in I was really eating Buffalo WIngs lol. Pepperoni one was FIRE too. Good service and pizza. We will be back at the Union Park.

Great intimate place, only about 6 tables in the whole place but the people are awesome and the pizza is even better! Fun assortment of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

Best pizza in Boston. Thin, crispy crust and not too much cheese and sauce. The staff was friendly and service was so dang fast. Cool spot.

I appreciate Union Park Pizza because today I learned that my boyfriend HATES olives. And even said that "They are disgusting." Personally, I really LOVE olives and ordered the Supreme Veggie Pizza (which has kalamata olives on it). I enjoyed the pizza and would order again. But I will most likely order the Margarita Pizza since it was just as delicious and doesn't have olives.

Crust is thin while remaining just sturdy enough to hold the toppings, with a delightful crisp on the bottom. Sauce is bright and fresh. Toppings are fresh, amply sizes, and complemented by seasoning. Basically, everything about this pizza is thoughtful and excellent. The wings are also flavourful and juicy, and they have a very unique take on ranch that was pleasantly surprising.

Pizza is one of the best I've tried in Boston! It tasted so fresh. They were very accommodating and got us a table so we could sit down. Very reasonably priced for a great pizza.

After an exhausting day walking around the city, we decided to bring pizza back to the hotel and discovered Union Park Pizza. I'm not joking friends, this was some of the best pizza I've had in a LONG time. The flavor combinations were unique and delicious, everything was super fresh, and the crust was perfectly balanced. The house salad was also super yummy, with lots of fresh toppings and a great blend of lettuce (not something you see every day with a pizza joint salad!). Service was fast and super friendly - the woman who helped me (I presume the owner but am not sure) was super sweet. We took our order to go, so I can't speak to the sit-down experience, but we will most definitely be back next time we're in Boston.

Pizza is great. Pepperoni is solid. Also got bbq chicken which was good. Prices are good for the great quality.

This place is tiny. You'll want to take away or come at the odd hour to grab one of the few tables. They made it on the Yelp Best 100 Restaurants in the Country list, which is where I heard about it. We ordered the Neighborhood Veg. Pizza with delicious ricotta (as yummy as ricotta can taste), caramelized onions and mushrooms and I'm still thinking about it, can't get it out of my head.

Perfect crisp crust. They lightly sauce their pizza so you need to ask for extra if you want a more traditional slice. One of the top slices in the area no doubt. Vey small dine inside but ample beautiful neighborhood seating outside.

I went in there to order a pizza around 8:45PM July 4 and the guy that was taking orders. He took two orders before he got to me and then told me that they weren't taking any more orders. I believe I was just discriminated against. I am a darker skin. I just simply said ok, and left. I will not be coming back.

Very nice little restaurant. The atmosphere felt very much like what Union Park Pizza is, a top notch pizzeria. It is cozy and a little tight in places, but that just lent a little something extra to the atmosphere. The service was great, we were happily and enthusiastically greeted as soon as we walked in. The food was outstanding. We started with the Garlic Parm & Herb Fried Dough and I highly recommend it. I had a pepperoni pizza and my wife had the Mags Supreme, both were excellent. I also had a slice of Buffalo Chicken and it was very good. If I'm ever in Boston again, I'm definitely coming back.

We got the large pizza -- half Neighborhood with Sausage and half Pepperoni Pizza. The pepperoni pizza was oily and too salty. The neighborhood with sausage was really good!! The ricotta paired well with the sausage. I would come back for the neighborhood with sausage pizza!

The pizza here leaves much to be desired. The pizza wasn't that appetizing to me. I got four different slices and the cheese slice, the tomato sauce didn't even taste like tomato. The pepperoni slice was on the saltier side, and the buffalo chicken slice was mediocre. The neighborhood veg was ok and the overall crust and dough were lacking and tasted like it was a day old and didn't taste fresh out of the oven. The wings were extra small and the salad looked like a salad I can throw together at home. I wasn't impressed at all.

Don't pass by this pizza gem on Newbury St! Wicked pizza (esp. the crust) and the kindest, most welcoming staff. They love working here! As a bonus: Good music for your head banging, foot tapping self.

I had a large 1/2 & 1/2 pizza ordered for delivery while I was in town for work. The pizza was really solid, the pesto was okay, but I loved the neighborhood veggie side! Pizza arrived hot and fresh. I wish I had a chance to visit in person, it seemed like a great pizza place to check out if you're in the area!

Service is outstanding, but the pizza's are incredibly delicious. No wonder this place has such high ratings! Even my sons enjoyed every bit of it; especially the mozzarella cheese-sticks. The ambiance has that classic rustic pizza parlor feel to it. Definitely a place we'll be marking as a favorite. Just be prepared to circle around the block a couple of times if you're looking for street parking and plan to dine in.

This pizza was to die for. A mix between New York and Neapolitan I would say and a little on the thinner side but the flavors were there. I asked for marinara sauce to dip my leftover crust in and it was a great finish to the meal. We were able to get a table inside luckily as the inside is small, but it makes for such a cute local pizza spot vibe. Service was tentative which I love.

Again if you read my reviews you know that it doesn't take much to impress me food wise but union park pizza is very good it's crunchy at the bottom cheesy at the top and hop but very thin other then that if I'm traveling around the city a lot that day and just wanna pick up some good food from a mom and pop place go pick up union. Now I tried it the first time nothing was wrong with it in my opinion but only reason I took off a star would be my mom said it wasn't all that she could taste the oven reheat. But the service was fire the lady who works at the register she laughed with us when we joked a bit everyone was chill in there especially at night. The ambiance was chill it was kinda under ground only 1 other person in there it was quiet the lights were kinda dim ish like a wooden bar in 1503 when knights were around. But again this is just my experience I recommend this place.

We were just looking for a place to grab a quick slice and a beer and this was it. It's in a great neighbordhood and the pizza was fast and good. I would go here again. Joe was friendly!

I never leave a review... but this is worthy. Such great pizza - definitely best gluten free in Boston! Mom and pop shop. I'm from Jersey, so I'm picky when it comes to pizza, but this tops my charts.

We ordered 2 chicken bacon ranch pizza. One with extra cheese. What we received is 2 soggy without taste, barely there chicken, no bacon, no extra cheese, ranch pizza. Don't get fooled by the photos, looks better in the photos.

This place NEVER disappoints! Everything is made with top quality ingredients and it shows. Love the pizza, the snacks, and the chicken tenders. Don't miss out on adding a side of homemade ranch. The Yelp rating should be a 5. One of the best spots in Boston.
