Where to Eat Near Detroit’s Thanksgiving Parade and Turkey Trot

"The bar at Union Street is reliably open on Thanksgiving. This year, count on pop and cocktails from 8 a.m. — no food though, as the kitchen is closed. There is parking available." - Brenna Houck

We have been here for a wedding rehearsal dinner before our dinner this evening and we were happy to go there for an early evening dinner. The atmosphere is comfortable, with the room being on the loud side. The service was great despite it being busy. The food is wonderful as well. I ordered the Woodward and the meat was so tender,as it should be. The pistachio encrusted salmon salad was excellent and a little on the sweet side. This is a wonderful restaurant to go to with a very casual atmosphere and a great place to bring the kids for an early dinner.

Our waitress Grace was amazing. The food was great, but not 5 star. I had a beautiful salad. I had a jalapeno margarita it was marvelous. The drinks were stellar.

The service was nice and my food was good. I had the lobster carbonara! My wife experience however wasnt that great. She ordered the shrimp and grits but the sauce was to sweet. She tried to eat the meal but it was just to sweet. Ended up sending the dish back and got another selection.

An easily accessible restaurant straight off Woodward. The facility is well-kept with a very wooden interior. Lighting within is on the dimmer side, but the staff are opposite, bright and kind. Service was excellent. The bar is long and large, having a fair amount of brews on tap. Not the best prices for drinks unless you're hitting happy hour. For food, I ordered the Dragon Eggs, chicken breasts stuffed with cheese, battered and fried to perfection. The sauce was finger-lickin' spicy. The food is boss in these digs.

Just stopped in as we were walking by because we were hungry. Best pit stop ever!! Had a glass of Moscato, egg rolls stuffed with beef brisket served with a homemade bbq dipping sauce😍 Absolutely delicious! I had Shrimp and Grits but not traditional it was in a butter lemon sauce.... it was excellent. Our server was on point and the atmosphere was cool, nice music playing etc... So glad we tried it!

A bunch of the beers I order for my flight was out :( food was delicious though, good size portions. Also our server was definitely on something or just loopy. Overall was good though. Definitely worth reservations though

The ambiance was nice. My drink was mediocre. I ordered a mule it was to have cranberries and rosemary in it. It did not. I order the Scooby Doo pasta. It was nice. I also ordered the BBQ Brisket eggrolls. .not enough cheese, the insides tasted a little bland and the brisket did not taste smoked. My friend had the fish and chips. The fries were not salted and the slaw was bland. Pictured is the pasta.
