SFO Airport Strike Causes Temporary Closure of San Francisco Airport Restaurants | Eater SF

"I confirmed that the Union Street Gastropub location inside the airport was closed amid the demonstrations and strike." - Paolo Bicchieri

Food order took 25 minutes to be ready and then was wrong. Took an additional 14 minutes.. the drink was very underwhelming and presentation was also disappointing. I had read reviews and went to the other restaurant that was unfortunately closed. I still think it’s better than burger king.. Would eat here again if money was not an issue even with the burger also being underwhelming. The avocado was not “smashed” as the name suggested.

Google
I think the service is great! There is a QR code at the table with the menu, order and pay options, but a server have me a menu and took my order. It's open and spacious. Lots of tables and bar seating. The cobb salad was huge. The toppings were generous. It was perfect for my keto diet. I preferred this over a cobb salad in a box at other local eateries. It hit the spot. The service really was good and the staff is nice and efficient.

I’ve typically only eaten here for breakfast. I got the breakfast platter that came with toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The food was really good for breakfast. I had no complaints except that I asked for soft butter for my bread and no butter was ever provided. The coffee was fairly strong so that was a major plus. I would return for breakfast.

My pub burger and fries were made really well. The seasoning on the patty had the tastable amount of salt and pepper. The lettuce, tomatoes onions, pickles and yellow mustard were fresh and tasted great in addition to the meat. French fries were good and not overly soft or hard. Yes, the price was high and the burger patty could've been a little less cooked but I left satisfied with what I was served.

Google
Expensive but great steak and fries. Cooking can be slow but you get staff help quickly, just need to wait a bit for the food. I wasn’t in a hurry and was craving a steak so perfect for me. The waitress was very nice and quick. I enjoyed my time here. Forgot to take photo because I was hungry to eat. Steak tasted enjoyable every bite.

Google
I would not recommend this place to eat if you are looking for good food and a good experience. There is no wait staff, to order you scan a barcode and enter your credit card into the app. There is also a gratuity added to your order...after you order through an app. We ordered fish and chips and the fish was leathery and the fries were mediocre. I had to get my surf&sand remade as the first one tasted of pure alcohol. The experience of eating here is robotic air fryer left on too long. The food and drinks are over priced. Fish and chips and a drink Steak sandwich and a drink Came to 100$ USA Looks great from the outside, horrible experience on the inside. 0 stars if possible. Hire some staff and learn to cook.

Joe L.

Google
Not sure how I still have even moderate expectations for airport food, but this place SUCKS… $23 for salad. Walmart lunch meat for topping. Wow. Do better SFO.

C L.

Google
Incredibly overpriced for what you get. Ordered a caprese sandwich with fries, and it came on white bread with almost no toppings. Even for airport food, this was disappointing.

Yelp
Located in the hall right after the TSA checkpoint (turn right and walk past the Burger King), this is your classic airport restaurant/bar. As it was just me, I sidled up to the bar and enjoyed a couple drinks before my flight to Palm Springs which departed at the gate right next door. The reason why I removed a star was because, while the service was friendly, it was very difficult to get someone's attention to order anything beyond my first drink. Good thing I had time to kill, otherwise I would've been panicking had my flight boarded! I'll come here again only if I'm in the immediate gate area and I have lots of time to spare.

Yelp
Union Street Gastropub for breakfast at SFO. I got two eggs and tots. The tots were soooo crispy; they could cut glass. The service was friendly and quick and the spot had plugs for an army of devices. The space is very open with plenty of seating. This spot didn't change my soul but it did its job. I'm now prepared for airport survival mode amongst the masses.

Yelp
We had a good breakfast here, as far as airport breakfasts go ! There were plenty of comfortable tables, service was quick & friendly, the food was tasty & nutritious and portions were large. Prices for alcohol aren't listed on the menu, so I asked, and one of those good-looking Bloody Marys is "around $20". There was also a promotional poster advertising Fireball shots are $6 - "perfect with a beer"! Perfectly good coffee with free flowing refills was $3.49.

Yelp
I tend to visit the airport bar or airline lounge before flights, depending on my departure time. This joint was good pre-flight medicine. There are a number of beers on tap here, including plenty of IPAs. Mine were served quickly after I ordered them via a QR code. The lady who served me was very polite and the place was light and airy. A dude next to me ordered fish and chips. They looked, smelled and sounded (the crunch of the fish) divine.

Yelp
SFO has quite a few genuinely good places to eat, drink, and waste time between flights. This one seemed like one of them, but I really can't recommend it. It's conveniently located however, and has a ton of both bar and table seating including outlets and hooks under the bar. I stopped here as I saw some beer tap handles that I don't usually and wanted to have a drink. The bartender right off the bat was super friendly and attentive, I have no complaints about the service here. What was bad; the glasses weren't fully clean, the beer tap lines were noticeably dirty in the taste, and a lot of the advertised beers they didn't have. Prices were also what you'd expect from an airport bar, way too high. I'd skip this one and go elsewhere.

Yelp
We had a long wait at the United terminal at SFO and wanted somewhere to roost. I have walked by this place many times for no particular reason, but this time it was bright and empty and open so we went in. My wife had the Cream Cheese and Lox on toast. She would've preferred more cream cheese but the lox was abundant and the toppings were plentiful, enough for every bite. I had a breakfast bowl with spicy mango sausage, two eggs over, blistered tomatoes, and avocado. I opted for no grains. It confused the waitress, which makes sense really, but it was just what I wanted. It was plenty filling and a good combination of flavors. I had water, she had coffee. The water was always full and the coffee was strong enough for her. They didn't have oat-milk though. A nice thing about this place is that you can place an order at flysfo.com mid air, before a flight, or as soon as you turn off airplane mode on the tarmac, and they will prepare it to pick up. If you're looking for a full bar or pub fare to pass the time, they won't let you down. And the view is pretty fabulous from where we sat. The time passes quickly watching the orchestrated movements of the airport below. We won't be walking by this any more, especially if those window seats are available.

Yelp
I stopped off for a bite while waiting for a flight. It was not a busy time, around 7:30pm Thursday night. Several patrons were complaining that their food was taking too long to arrive (around 40 minutes on average) and one woman was in tears because she had ordered dinner, it hadn't come and her flight was boarding. The man who was the apparent manager refused to give her a refund unless she "waited a while" and he seemed not to speak English well. He was not answering patrons questions correctly (e.g. "do you have a beer list?" Which he addressed with a vacant look.."No" he said although they did and had a few on the bar. The way this man avoided and refused to work with the histerical woman was embarrassing for the rest of the staff who apologized. This NO WAY to do business!
google avatar

Yelp
Only stopped by for drinks on a layover. Service was decent and I appreciated the link extra on the drink pour : )

Kelly B.

Yelp
When will I learn to trust Yelp 100%. Service is so painstakingly SLOW even when the place is almost empty and not very nice. Drinks are astronomically expensive: 20 dollars for a cocktail. Will report back on the meal. I'm back. Good taste ok but portions are very small
google avatar

Yelp
I swung by this gastropub for a quick drink while waiting to board my flight, and I was pleasantly surprised! The service was lightning-fast and hassle-free, perfect for someone on the go like me. Plus, the ambiance was just what I needed to unwind. I didn't have time to try any food, but the menu items looked tasty. I would give this another try if my next flight to SF boards out of this terminal.

Anne E.

Yelp
Truly the worst espresso martini I've ever had. Anyone with eyeballs can see that something is seriously wrong--not sure how they served this. Insanely expensive too. It's been several months and I'm still mad about it lmao

Megan F.

Yelp
Chicken wings were ok, best thing we had. French fries on all dishes were cold and underdone. Fish was an over cooked greaseball. Chicken bao buns were tiny and half the bun and was soggy and the other half stale. Not even sure how they pulled that off. The server was nice and the table next to us got salads that looked good, so points for that. Especially with the airport pricing, this should have been better quality.

Robert M.

Yelp
Had some time to kill during my connection and being located close to my gate this place seemed like a good place to grab a quick meal. Should have gotten a clue from how empty it was whereas everywhere else had lines but I was tired. Looked over the menu on the way in, took a seat at the bar and immediately ordered a beer which appeared instantly and a $27 burger with fries which did not. After 35 minutes and a couple enquiries my food arrived, 7 minutes before boarding began. Wolfed down most of it and to my dismay the bartender had gone missing. The tab for the burger, fries and 1 beer came to $47.50 so eventually I put a fifty and a five next to the check and asked a server to take care of it but she couldn't, she explained, though she did manage to locate someone who could just as I was leaving so I know they got paid and I got stuck boarding with group 3. Next time it's Burger King.
google avatar

Yelp
Waiting on my connection and needed to grab dinner. Sat at the bar-- service was efficient ordered and paid via my phone better than average burger and decent glass of a Sonoma Cab. Perfect for those with time to spare between flights--

Yelp
I'm recommending for the fantastic normal bloody Mary. Not a bloody Mary with stars and whistles just the regular, bloody Mary, non-spicy. I am not recommending for the high prices on the breakfast sandwiches and breakfast entrées. Service is great. Ambience is fast and crazy just like an airport, which is totally normal and acceptable.
google avatar

Destiny R.

Yelp
I ordered the lemon kale salad with steak added to go. The service was very friendly however Terrible presentation, lackluster flavor. They ran out of to-go containers and served me the $30 salad in three separate containers with a whole salads worth of dressing in one, and 5 pieces of steak in another and just wilted lettuce in another.

Yelp
The hubs and I were ravenous and desperate before our flight! (Not gonna lie, the 2 stars almost made us take our chances with a random refrigerated sandwich at a kiosk) But, we decided to be mavericks and cozy up to the bar at Union Street! My thoughts were that their gastropub claim couldn't be a flat out, bold faced lie, could it? Thankfully, our experience was nothing like some of the others I scanned before (crossing my fingers, and saying a quick prayer) making my choice to eat here. The grilled chicken sandwich here is fantastic. I wanted to snub the chips and dip appetizer with salsa and (a little too obvious) processed cheese when it arrived. But it was so good, that I forgot to take the photo before the hubs and I hoovered it down. (I'd love to know the brand in all honesty.) The service was super friendly, the food came out fast. We were very pleased that we took a chance on USG!
google avatar

Duffy G.

Yelp
They have like 20 taps. I've been here twice in two months. Both times 2/3 of their taps are off. Bartenders don't know anything about the styles of beer. Maybe they have good food? But don't bother looking for craft beer if that's your thing. It's just a snare and a delusion.
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
For airport food, this is probably 4 stars, but as general food goes, it's average, so 3 stars. The service was actually pretty good despite the menu by QR code and magical delivery to the table some minutes after ordering. I got the fish and chips which were pretty clearly frozen battered fish, but honestly, it was still good, especially for airport food. The fries were good, too.
google avatar

Scott N.

Yelp
I had HOURS to pass at the airport. Though I was flying out of gate C, I decided I'd head to another gate for a different experience. I actually scoped it out online and decided this was where I wanted to go. The entire ordering and payment process is managed via aQR code on the table. This is a process with which I'm very familiar now. I opted for a draft beer from a selection that seemed much smaller than what I'd seen in picture on Yelp. Perhaps it's limited because of COVID. No worries. I found a beer that fit the bill, but I'll say there was nothing on the list I hadn't tried and nothing I'd refer to as a true craft beer. I ordered the Cali Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It sounded delightfully fresh, but the premixed guacamole type deal didn't provide a fresh vibe. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't spoiled it just wasn't fresh made. It was green, messy mush. Add the dressing and I had one of the messiest sandwiches I've ever eaten. I'll say it looked like a burger and even though I knew it was chicken the meat flavor (i.e. chicken vs. beef) was difficult to discern. The fries were good at first, but eventually needed ketchup. I didn't finish them. It's airport food. It was okay. I wouldn't walk from gate C to gate E to eat here again. If I was flying out of gate E, I might.
google avatar

Yvonne N.

Yelp
We came here with ample time before a flight and seated ourselves based on the sign at the front. It was easy to scan the QR code on the table to order our food and drinks with ability to tip at check out. Hard to determine service before even making human contact. Drinks came out quick and then the tater tots. I tried making eye contact with no less than 3 different servers after waiting for 30 minutes on my salad. Each time they either didn't see me or avoided eye contact. Eventually someone came out with a "Cobb Salad" that included browned romaine lettuce with shredded cheese and some thickly battered chicken tenders. I'd recommend going to a fast food chain instead for better food or another bar if looking for drinks.
google avatar

Bela C.

Yelp
Got a breakfast burrito which had wild rice and was very odd, would not recommend. Also had the chicken quinoa bowl which had wild rice and no quinoa, and it was missing a creamy dressing or some sort of cucumber like thing. I also got my food togo and was not given a knife even for the chicken in my bowl which were long strips making it hard to wat
google avatar

Austin C.

Yelp
I don't usually travel United so not always in Terminal 3. But since I am and am here why not try a spot with TONS of draft selections. I actually was never a real big fan of beer or any alcohol but if I do drink, I like the higher ABV% but have a certain taste. So I guess I am more of an IPA person because a lot have high ABV% but don't taste too bad. So here are the 3 beers I had while waiting for my flight: Elysian space dust IPA 8.2%...$8.99, at the time I thought it was just pretty good but I had it at another spot later and it has now become one of my favorite beers. So if I am ever to fly United again I will definitely stop in here again to have a beer and possible some food next time. Ommegang abbey ale 8.2%...$8.99, eh...It was ok but not a huge fan. Lagunitas super cluster 8%...$9.99 not sure why it's $1 more since #1 it's less ABV% and #2 comes in same glass. That is neither here nor there but it was also just ok. The staff was very attentive and friendly, so I would definitely come back to try other items.
google avatar

Shelly A.

Yelp
I ordered the Southwest Breakfast bowl, and I hate to admit it was the best breakfast I have had in a while. Scrambled eggs with bacon and montery jack topped with guacamore and pico de gallo. It was served with a side of tater tots. The food was cooked fresh, and about 1/2 of the tables were full. The service was a bit slow, and when I went to pay, the card reader was down, so if you have a tight connection or not much time, skip it. Forty-five minutes from the time we sat down.

Kristin G.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff I would not recommend coming here. I was sitting at the table waiting for a friend to come out the bathroom and the server asked if I wanted to order. I let her know I was waiting for someone to order with and she says "well you can wait over there. This isn't a waiting area." I was shocked and replied, "I know, I am going to get food but I am waiting for another person" and she got angry and was like "yeah wait over there unless you want food you order right now." So I got up and left. It was a slim older lady with a pixie cut.
google avatar

Jacqueline F.

Yelp
I came here and got a great drink and snack! I'm good. The guy behind the bar was great, he waited for me to get out of the restroom to bring me my drink. How thoughtful! The snack was fine, for what it was and I'm glad that I was able to find this place so close to our gate. I'd come back.

Ibrahim K.

Yelp
Trash food and service. Go elsewhere for your own sanity. The dining experience fell short with subpar food and slow service. Our burgers, ordered medium rare, arrived well done after a 40-minute wait. The beers were overly foamy, suggesting inexperienced bartending. High prices didn't align with the quality. I would recommend considering alternatives like Burger King over this establishment. Also the vibes here are horrible. Super weird place.
google avatar

mark y.

Yelp
Agree with most of the reviews. Except for the Malbec I had, the food wasn't much better than cafeteria food. Ordered gumbo and Korean fried chicken. Was it telling that I only took a few bites? Chicken was a little better than frozen microwaveable wings in that it was deep fried before sauce. Gumbo tasted like it was based from chicken stock. Rice was undercooked. The extra star was because the Malbec was ok for $10.
google avatar

Joani O.

Yelp
This is your typical, overpriced eatery in the airport, yet after working for 5 long days in San Francisco, I appreciated the option rather than the sandwich shops in the vicinity of my gate in Terminal 3. It was nice to get off my feet and be waited on. And the shrimp and chorizo quesadilla was fabulous! I didn't care for the smoky sauce that comes with it, but the sour cream and avocado slices made up for it. I also had a mixed green side salad (lettuce and tomatoes) for $8 it, and iced tea. Again, pricey, yet a good meal.

Andrea V.

Yelp
VERY rude staff! i ordered a cup of water and sat down with my friends to eat our dinner after a long day of work and currently traveling. the server came to my table and asked if i ordered something, i told him yes, i ordered this water and he mumbled something, said no, TOOK my water and just left without any kind of explanation! 0/10 recommend this place! all he had to do was explain all orders need to stay in THEIR sitting area, but i was only a couple table area from the entrance.
google avatar

Kalista S.

Yelp
The food is awful. Do not eat here unless you want to pay for an overpriced disappointing meal. Save your money and eat at the burger king next door. Only thing good here is the alcohol.
google avatar

Busayo O.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE! We ordered the pulled pork nachos. Pulled pork-no. Real cheese-no. Chips-stale and the pork itself was not fillet cooked. It was pink--disgusting! The waiter had the audacity to yell at my husband and try to charge him for food that was not safe to eat. Unbelievable! She was so rude and had a bad attitude and gave him the receipt in a rude way. Unbelievable. My pub house burger was okay. Not the most flavorful. A basic burger. The fries were good and the beer was good--that's about it. Very slow and poor service. The manager helped us take off the food that was not safe to eat and didn't charge for the burger we got instead, but no apology whatsoever. Horrible! DO NOT COME HERE!
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
We were served quickly even though our waiter told us it was just him that night as people call in sick on Saturday evenings as those are the quietest. We got expensive wine by the glass but hey it was a good size pour and I always expect to pay too much at the airport (Portland International excluded!) but the good size glass pour sort of made up for the pricing. We got a Cubano which wasn't a bad airport sandwich and when we asked for more pickles he gladly brought them out. The same pork was on the banh mi. Now this was lacking the cilantro which kind of makes a banh mi what it is, but they gave it the good college try and it was edible. There aren't a lot of choices in this terminal but given that the sandwiches also came with decent homemade potato chips I'd say it's solid 3 star airport dining. We got good service too so that helped.
google avatar

Mic L.

Yelp
They call themselves Gastropub. So, they should know how to serve beers. But, they serve a German wheat beer in a Duvel (Belgium) glass. I advised the bartender that wheat beers should served in a wheat beer glas, for the right taste! He refused to give me such a glass with the excuse that it was for Blue Moon only. Well, take a guess...

Rex P.

Yelp
If you want to grab a beer before or after your flight fine, but you will pay $10, for the experience, I do expect that in the airport. However if you want to get food maybe think again. We had a burger that looked like a dried up cow pat, and a Chicken Quesadilla that tasted like an old smelly boot. I definitely will not be going to this place again. Give it a miss.. Hit up Burger King next door, you will get a better meal for a quarter of the price and that's saying something.

Matthew W.

Yelp
The chips and queso is nacho cheese from a can, renfro green salsa and pace salsa not good at all waiter did not smile or say anything. I would never eat here again waiting on the burger I update it on the way out the burger plus chips remind me of bad hospital cafeteria food! Be warned
google avatar

Diana H.

Yelp
I thought I was in trouble when I saw the 2 stars and severely limited menu through QR scan ordering only, but I'm pleasantly surprised how great the fries were and the Pub burger, cooked medium, (I like medium rare) was also surprisingly good. Looks to me like they still have a good selection of IPAs on tap. Loving the fries!
google avatar

Ted M.

Yelp
Ordered a couple of burgers and chicken strips. The food was excellent for an airport restaurant. I saw the overall reviews were pretty low, but I think that the food was really good. A little pricey, but that is to be expected at the San Francisco airport.

Caroline M.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money. Food was low quality and drinks were poorly made. Bad service, so slow even though it was completely dead, and they gave me a top shelf Margarita for a wayyyy steeper price, even though I ordered a standard one. I also asked for salt on the rim and there were probably 3 grains of it on the corner of the glass. They'll do anything they can to run up your check, and act like they don't even want you there in the process. I wish I had gone literally anywhere else, and I won't be going back.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
My co-workers and I were looking for a spot to grab some food before our flight back to OC. This was one of the few spots that was an actual sit-down restaurant, most of the rest were just fast casual. This terminal in SFO seems to have been revamped because it looks up to par with other major city airports. They have a pretty extensive list of beers on tap, wines and cocktails, however, so some odd reason, they didn't have any Jack Daniels. The food menu sounded decent, however the prices were astronomical, lucky for me, this was on the company dime. I ordered the Shrimp and Chorizo Quesadillas, which turned out to be quite delicious. Presentation could have definitely used a bit of refinement, the avocado and sour cream was pretty much just tossed onto the plate. Overall, a decent spot to catch some food if you are in the terminal, they have some TVs for sports as well.
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
My 3-star rating is the result of averaging a really good dish with a really bad one. Not a terrible place to eat at SFO if you order the right thing and want to watch sports at the bar. I'll start with the good. The shrimp and chorizo quesadillas were tremendously good. Very large pieces of shrimp with spicy chorizo smothered in melted cheese between a four tortilla, served with a side of sour cream and a smoky chipotle sauce. Very, very nice. That hit the spot for sure, and I would come back for it. Then there's the bad. The Korean chicken wings were atrocious. They look very pretty at first, tossed in a sauce and topped with seawater seeds and chopped scallions - but unfortunately there's nothing beneath the surface. The sauce is sickly sweet, and the wings were tough, dry, and obviously freezer-burnt. Gross. Not worth finishing. Service was not fantastic, and the bartender definitely acted like he didn't want to be there (I can't blame him, but hey, it's the job, right?). In short, come for the quesadilla and flat screens for sports. Leave the rest.
google avatar

Junior L.

Yelp
Okay, can I just say first that my quesadilla was surprisingly REALLY? I don't think anyone is a fan of eating at the airport. It's pricey, it's either too fast or too slow for service, and the food never feels like it should. This is one of those typical places where you go find a seat and hope the staff notices you. Thankfully, the staff did notice us and we were served promptly. We received our drinks promptly, and our meal just the same. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla thing, and man was it good. Surprisingly good. If I had to eat it again, I would be happy to. It came with this Chipotle sauce that was super spicy, and I'm okay with that! We had to push the server to get us our check, and then push her a little more to close our bill out. Overall, pretty good experience. If I had to eat here in a pinch again, I would.

Dave B.

Yelp
Mediocre food and the absolute worst service I have ever seen. Waited 20 minutes before anyone showed up. Dirty table, dirty fork (had to clean myself). No coffee refill, took forever to close the tab. Stay away...
google avatar

Will S.

Yelp
I sat here waiting for my flight looking at a bar full of people staring at their phones, a few friendlies engaging in the occasional light conversation. Bartenders politely took orders and filled drinks, walking on rubber mats on top of the hexagonal illusion tiles (you know the ones--looks like stacks of cubes). Classy. A double Jim Beam was $17 before tip. There were like 30 beers on tap. I'd pony up for a drink if I ever wind up at Gate 70 in Terminal 3 again. Hope everyone made it to their destination in good spirits and on time.

A V.

Yelp
SFO Bar/Eatery at Gate E3. Solo, but Bar was full, so had to sit at 2 top. Only wanted a stiff drink which is fine via Scan code on table and Web App. Ordering pretty simple and quick. TOOK 20 MINUTES TO RECEIVE DRINK, but only after given them Eyes. RIDICULOUS! Where's the efficiencies of using the App to table order process?!
google avatar

Bill R.

Yelp
If you're like me, you're usually trapped in terminal 3 at SFO with walks access to the international terminal only. Since I'm unwilling to exit security to gain access to T2, where all the good stuff is, the Union Street Gastropub will fill the void just fine. Burgers, sandwiches, ribs, quesadillas, all look and taste great. And oh yeah, BEER. Probably 30 taps. Lagunitas, goose, racer 5 , anchor steam. You get the idea. If you like craft, just park it here. Few airports offer this degree of gastropub experience. Term 3 by gate 70. The remodeled area.

Helen L.

Yelp
If you sit at the bar the service is golden! Anywhere else in this restaurant service is terrible. Sat at a table and looked at the waitress as she chatted with the bartender for 10 min. She never made her way to my table to take my order. Moved to the bar and was served immediately.
google avatar

Larry S.

Yelp
My wife and I agree, we just had the worst $16 chicken nachos we've ever experienced. Small tray with some chips and queso and guac on it, and a few chunks of chicken. Assembled like somebody tossed all the ingredients from the other side of the room. Our bad for not checking Yelp first. Also they make you order by scanning a QR code, then to pay you have to enter all your credit card info. This place should send some folks to MSP and see how all of this could be done better and provide a better customer experience for the price.

Yelp
This place is pretty nice for an airport restaurant. Those Korean chicken wings were surprisingly good. They were crisp on the outside and juicy inside. The chorizo quesadilla was just ok though.
