The service was very slow, it took a long time for our dishes to come out and the taste was just ok... Most of them are very similar taste, definitely on the sweeter side for the pork dish. Be careful on the spice level, it can be on the spicer side for most people! The tum yum soup was ok. Portions are pretty good, not a lot of vegetables options. And no drinks or like bubble tea or dessert.

The best papaya salad in Saint Paul! The pork belly laab is also really good. The pho is Hmong style, and so delicious. Fast service. Everything that I've eaten here is delicious.

Dined out using Uber Eats. Ordered a papaya salad and crispy pork intestines. They called me that they ran out of intestines so they cancelled that and only made my salad. Delivery cost over $40 total for everything+tip and ordering just a papaya was not worth it. I asked them to substitute my pork intestines for another entree, pork belly laab, so that I’m not wasting my time and money on a one order delivery. They said yes, which was great, only to find out that what was delivered was just a pork belly laab, no papaya salad. Called them about the mix up, they weren’t able to do anything. Told me to come in and pick up the papaya if I wanted it but only apologized. It’s frustrating because their food is good but their service for takeout is always so bad. Can never hear the person talking because it’s so loud with music and people in the background during our call.

Awesome food !!!!!!! The service was fast and friendly, if you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat !!! They have a seating at the bar as well as a large area in the restaurant. They have a large banquet room attached to the bar restaurant as well, where they have parties, live bands, weddings and gatherings as well as weekly cornhole which is a lot of fun.. We had the drunken noodles and the pad Thai with a side of egg rolls.. The noodles are always amazing and the whole menu is always great.. I love them spicy and they can make them really spicy if you ask for it... Lots of parking in the front of the restaurant. I stop here every few months and am never disappointed.. Love this place.. If you're in the area, definitely stop in and check it out.. You won't be disappointed.. They also offer delivery or pickup as well..

My favorite go to place for Hmong food. I always order their pork belly laab, Papaya salad (not pictured), and pho (also not pictured because i was too hungry to wait). We also ordered their combo fried rice here and there which taste good as well.

Went on a Friday Night. Had a great time here. Especially being our first time. Service was quicker than expected, because our initial wait time was 45mins but we got seated in 10mins. Food was good. The mango and Papaya salad was amazing. The fried intestines could be better if it wasn't over fried, i prefer less crunchy and a bit more chewy and texture, but flavor was good. The crispy pork belly laab was new to me and I thought it was amazing! There was a full house, luckily we found parking in the back. It was a nice crowd. The guests all seem friendly and everyone had a great time dancing and interacting. Staffs were friendly and fast. DJ had great music playlist.

My usual stop for take-out Hmong food when there are deals going on. The food is consistently made and the order is always correct when picking up. The staff is fast to respond to me as a customer. Plenty of parking available and relatively safe to stop by to dine-in or grab a drink.

Went on a Saturday evening- reserved the Viking room for 10 people, 2 children and we loved our privacy. Food was amazing! Love how they added pepper to the chicken wings. Everything was really good. Would recommend! The cranberry sauce with the wonton went perfectly together. 👌🏼

Food review only!!! Food is so good! I moved out to CA & missed Hmong food so much! We came in on a Wednesday and it was not busy at all. Pork Belly Laab Do not get it with bitterness/lime! I forgot how to order Hmong food so i ordered the pork belly laab medium spice. I'll be asking them to hold the lime/bitterness next time! The pork belly was crunchy but the lime was a bit overpowering. Hmong sausage Sooo good! Can't go wrong with Hmong/lao sausage! So flavorful & perfect to pair with white rice. I'll definitely be coming back! The service was a bit slow even though there wasn't anyone there. We just had to flag the servers down. There is lots of seating during the restaurant hours. Bar review will be another day.

The service really made our experience here! Entry to the restaurant is opposite the highway (behind the banquet hall). Everyone was so kind and the chef even made a point to come out and ask what we thought about our dishes. I think they are still working to find their niche as far as menu is concerned, but the space is open with plenty of seating as well as TVs with games on. We will definitely come here again!

Ordered the Pad See Iew combo that had shrimp, pork belly chicken and beef and it was soooo good!! Noodles were nice and chewy and not overcooked. We also had the spring rolls and papaya salad which was also amazing. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Tried ordering via door dash today but they never confirmed the order. I tried calling them as well but they didn't pick up. Everywhere says they are open so I don't understand why they didn't at least pick up their phone. I have been here a couple times and the food is ok. Seating inside is a little bare and they keep the music loud. Last time I was there they did take a super long time giving my brother his food, we were almost all done eating before he got his. I am disappointed and I will not try this place anymore.

Good food, but didn't call when I was supposed to hear back that my food was done. I called twice with no answer then just went inside. Guy was in his phone at the counter. This was a busy Saturday night but it would've been nice to get a call or text. Had sesame chicken, drunken chicken noodle and crispy pork fried rice. The crispy pork was too crispy for my taste.

Great food selections especially for those traveling and rarely get to eat this. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful staff.

Unison Restaurant & Banquet is a family-owned restaurant and venue. It's owned by a group of passionate, hardworking, and humble folks. I was able to get the full experience during my latest visit to the twin cities. From the dining experience to the banquet hall. Call be me crazy but I stopped in 3-times to eat, 3-days straight! The food reminded me of classic homecooked meals, the type that is made with love and care. I was unable to eat try the whole menu but that will give me a reason to return. Here's what I ended up eating... Pork Intestines: For some, this may not sound appetizing but wait until you try it. This is the only way that I will ever eat it -- deep-fried, crispy, flavorful, and glazed with a sauce. Talk about perfection! I love the fact that there's no aftertaste. Beef Jerky: Wow! A different level of beef jerky. The sweetness, saltiness, and tang are on point! I can eat this all day with sticky rice. Crispy Pork Laab: Must have! Amazing texture and hits the spot. Pho: Delicious, especially after a late night out! The broth is a well-balanced beefy and herby broth. A large was a bit too much food, I'd prefer the regular size. As for the banquet room, we were able to rent it for a special occasion. The staff and crew were all easy to work with. From setup to breakdown was a breeze. The room is clean, along with the double bathrooms on each end of the room. Overall, the customer service is amazing. Everyone who works there is friendly and makes the experience that much better. The hospitality keeps me coming back for more.

I love their fried chicken feet and fried intestines. The flavors are phenomenal and cooked to a perfect crisp. I would definitely go back. If I lived in Minnesota, I would definitely be a regular customer!

Just stopped in on a whim....delicious! The Chef Egg Rolls and deep fried beef jerky were both incredible. Don't leave without trying the beef, for real. This is a new regular stop for us!

Atmosphere: we came around 11pm and it was busy by the bar area. People were in and out and singing karaoke. It was a bit rowdy but they have security to manage. Food/Drink: we ordered the combo pad see ew, crispy pork laab, chef's egg rolls, and nam va. Everything was flavorful and good. I recommend asking for less of the scent essence in your nam va, the smell was overpowering. Service: They sat us in a private room for a quieter dine in. During our dinner they checked in with us many times, probably because they were closing at midnight and the time was close.

Food at this place is a no go. If I could gave this place a 0 star I would. The parking lot is big. When you walk into the building it is a big open space and then when you look to the right they have tables in one area for dining in. It does not feel cozy. Along the wall there are little individual room where people can reserved to have their own space/area for group services which can hold to 20-25 people. Their bar are very small. It take the bartender over 30 minutes just to make nine drinks. We were just standing there like if he's going to serve us. Food is not good. The pictures I took look good but taste is deceiving. Chicken feet was not warm and tastes nothing but batter flour. Next time a little salt would help. Fried chicken was hot and fresh but it smell like peanut butter and taste kind of weird but I guess the pepper kind of made up for it. The pad see ew was ok but tastes sweet. The papaya salad was perfect but it was just loaded with peanut in it. The Red curry tilapia was ok, the sauce was great but the fish was cold and over cooked. It was hard to grab the meat off from it. The tamarind sauce tilapia was nasty, the sauce was just thick, the fish was cold and over cooked so again it was hard to grab any meat off from it. The pho combination was nasty. I make better broth. Their broth was diluted and have a sour taste like it was made weeks ago. This place is could have many potential but it need a lot of improvement. I would NOT recommend this place. It's a NO go.

Unison Restaurant & Banquet is a five stars for BOMB Southeast Asian (Hmong) bar food and accommodations (private rooms with televisions for ultimate sports-watching experience with close friends and family in the comfort of a home-like space that you don't have to worry about cleaning after everyone leaves)! But, 4 stars overall, because the service could use a little work. The staff was friendly, but they could have used at least 3 additional people to keep up with the demand. The space has a kind of cafeteria feel when you first walk in because it's a big square room with tables and chairs. But, the cool factor is the 6 or so private rooms that line the walls around that square room - each with a television for watching sports. Now, I don't watch sports and didn't know much about what was going on during the Vikings vs. Saints game last night, but I quickly got swept up in the excitement of the room with people I love getting swept up with! We ordered pork belly laab, raw beef laab, fried pork intestines, nam tak ribs, and chicken wings- everything was DELICIOUS! I work up thinking about every bite and started planning for next weekends game! If you don't recognize any of these dishes as your usual sports bar cuisine - even better reason for you to check them out! But, if you're a vegetarian, or tator tot and nachos only kind of person you'll leave hungry. This was a protein and Southeast Asian flavored packed meal! SO GOOD. They had a bunch of other things on the menu that I'll be looking forward to trying, but for now if you love sports or being with people that love sports, bar food, and southeast asian flavors this is the spot for you!

Let me start off by saying this this review is LONG overdue... When I visited the Twin Cities this past couple of times, no matter where I went, my friends would ALWAYS ask if I wanted to eat at Unison. It was always Unison this, Unison that. I finally gave in one day and I HAVE ZERO REGRETS! First off, the FOOD is delicious! I've seen some other reviews on here saying you could get similar foods elsewhere for cheaper, and yes, that's true. HOWEVER, other places don't make it to order like this place here! Typically Hmong comfort foods are out sittin' underneath the heat lamp of DEATH, so applauds to this place for making it fresh to order! I would recommend the Fried Shrimp w/ Heads and Pork Belly w/ Pepper Sauce. Of course, you HAVE to get sticky rice! These are Hmong comfort food classics! I've been to this place 3 times now and that atmosphere inside is always popping! It's super vibey and such a great place to go out with friends, especially after a long days of work! Not to mention, the staff working there is always super friendly and nice! So long as you come in with all smiles, I can guaranteed the same friendliness will come right back at ya! :) All in all, it seems the Hmong community here knows this place exists, however to everyone else who's looking for some great grub, I'd definitely check this place out!

I've been to Unison a couple of times but haven't had the chance to write a review, so here goes! The restaurant is pretty spacious. They have a few of these private rooms along the walls which you can request for at no charge if you want a little more privacy for your party. Huge parking lot. Some of my favorite dishes are as seen in the photos but the reason why I go here is for the deep fried pork intestines, pork belly and the beef laab. You won't be able to find the deep fried intestine being made this way anywhere else and you won't be disappointed! Portion size is good. These 3 dishes we ordered came with a large bowl of white rice and all this can feed 4. Prices are reasonable too. Service was okay but staff is super friendly. Don't hesitate to flag down a staff if you need something.

Food is delicious and service is fast. This is my second time ordering out and I am thoroughly impressed. I would recommend this place if you're in the mood for some delicious Hmong food. Their eggrolls tastes almost like my homemade eggrolls which is a huge plus. The fried pork intestine and fried beef jerky are my top favorites. I was also surprised that they provided free masks for their customers.

After making several calls around the twin cities to get a hall for about 50 family members I had no luck. I was able to make contact with Unison and rented the banquet hall to host our father's celebration of life service. Unison staff made it easy to work with from planning, menu selection, payment, and hall set-up to tech help. I was overly impress and happy with the service, food, and accommodation. I would highly recommend anyone who has a large venue or group who wants to dine here. They made it easy for my family and I as we are in grieving and preparation for the loss of our father. The staff were great and readily to help - we did have a last minute change up in our venue where we had to pull a few staff to help change up the tables and chairs set up to accommodate our guests who had wish to stay a little longer. During this time with COVID it's especially hard to have any gathering or rooms to accommodate any groups but Unison made it easy for us - we are grateful that they were able to help us make this event happen in such a short time and during an unprecedented time.

The food was your typical Hmong/Southeast Asian flair. Great taste and seasoned food. The staff and servers were attentive and friendly. Definitely will go again. I didn't get to try the ballroom attached to the restaurant but the music was definitely drawing a crowd.

First time here , and we walk into a restaurant full of pepper smoke!! Even the staffs were coughing !!! Talk about a noobie mistake! Who roast peppers and not have the VENTS GOING or fans ! All the small rooms, we ask if there was vent and fan system and was inform there is none!! At the moment it's like being in the gas chamber ! All our kids are coughing, who ever made this rookie mistake should be fire! I wouldn't trust them with a candle. One star is for the service and one for the foods, but first impression is usually a lasting impression .. Sorry but we won't be back if I wanted to enter a gas chamber I would have went back to boot camp or tag along with protesters .

The food was really disappointing I want to give it 0 star! I ordered to go and when I received the food. The pad Thai was really watery like it had so much oil. The fish tamarind was not good. The laab was decent but the portion was tiny. I wouldn't order from here again. Honestly I think the person that cooked my food was drunk or didn't know how to cook at all.

First, the good. The space is good for large parties and families with children. It's great that they have the rooms for large parties and that there's a TV in each room. The owner is also nice and he walks around greeting guests. The food is ok. Nothing special nor wonderfully flavored but it can be comforting if Hmong food is your jam. Ok, all the bad...which I hope is just attributed to the fact that they are new and are still figuring stuff out but here goes. They seem to always be out of simple things like coke and their fresh limeade. We always have to wait a while before plates, silverware, and waters come out. And each time I've been there, we've had to ask the servers for all of these and twice now, our food has come out before they've brought us utensils and plates so our food was sitting there cold. The food comes out randomly. For example, we had 5 bowls of pho and one bowl came out at least 20 minutes before the others. All other plates came out over the course of the meal. On a slow Sunday, while we had a big group, it took over an hour and 20 minutes to get our food and even then, we had to wait even longer for silverware and plates after we have asked 4 times already. I really want to love this spot and hope that I can provide a better review soon, but PLEASE, hire someone to better run the house!

I've had Pho from all over the twin cities and have has some really good and some that was ok. Theirs is the best I've ever had. And the pork rinds is a wonderful addition. I love the crunchy yet chewy texture. My only want is more pork rinds in the soup.

Pros: Nice huge place with private rooms, They Know how to make drinks. Cons: Eggrolls are 3 in long and 1/2 in diameter it's 3 for $5 it is a size of my fingers it is small portion and it was burnt, Springroll are not tightly roll stuffing just falls off. No quality on food, can some get Gordon Ramsey In there please. And the staff just hangs out where all the customer dining. They are on there phone and and chit chatting I was confuse who was working there and who is the customer. Not going again but y'all can go and judge for yourself. out of 5.

first of all the security was terrible. I had a friend wedding and then after hours I'm trying to get in the other side to drink and they made it rough for me. Two security check in. the first was tough and the sec made it worse by not letting me in. I don't advise this place and it's terrible. just go to Cup and cheers. this place shouldn't exist.

Added this business into YELP because I love it so much. If you're looking for really good Asian food I would recommend this place. A mixture of Hmong/Lao/Thai food. Enjoy!

service was ok... food was salty....but everyone has their own taste bud...the time frame serving food and app were inconsistence... served spring rolls only w hoisin sauce, the sauce is wat makes the spring roll taste yummmmy...but ehhhhhhhh... went once which will be my first and last visit.. if i could give a 0 i would.. but least i tried supporting them...

Love this place. The private rooms and tv are a perk. The food is decent and the bar and drinks are something to try. Eat there regularly.

Good food and good prices. Service workers were plentiful. Big place and on the noisier side. Security had bulletproof vests on so I can assume the place can go south fast, so dine in early before the evening/night crowd starts flowing in.

I'm so glad this bar was able to operate during COVID. We got take out for the sesame chicken, chicken pad Thai and wontons! They gave us a lot of regular rice which was amazing! This place is great!

Went in on a Friday evening at 8:30pm with 8 adults and one child. We were seated in a private room, which was great. After we ordered, our food took over an hour to come out. The dishes were coming out main dish first, and appetizers last. The service just got worst and worst throughout the evening. We ordered about 10-12 dishes, 3 of which were pho dish, which didn't even come out until the end. My 6 year old had ordered a pho and it never came out until after 10pm, an hour and a half later after we ordered. It took a crying kid to get them to FINALLY bring his pho out (he had his mind set on the pho and wouldn't eat anything else because he was saving his stomach for the pho). Our server/waiter was not at all attentive to us. We had to cancel A LOT of dishes because they were coming out SO late, or wasn't even made yet. There was A LOT of miscommunication with our to go order as well. It also took another 20 minutes just to get our tab. Overall, I already had a gut feeling that I wouldn't like this place (but majority rule so ended up going here for the evening), the service for large group is crap (verifiable by other reviews on them if you don't want to take my word for it). I rather travel across town for the same type of food and better service. First and last for me.

We ordered Lao style papaya salad, basil fried rice, chef egg rolls, spring rolls and nam pork ribs. Papaya salad was spicy and good. Basil fried rice has no flavor, the rice was super hard/dry, and only had 3-4 chunks of chicken. Chef egg rolls were soggy. Spring rolls were huge, but full of lettuce and noodles only with little shrimp. Nam pork ribs looked NOTHING like the photo on the menu; what we got were small penny sized pieces of burnt and dry pork. Overall, the food we ordered was flavorless and dry, besides the Lao style papaya salad. We want to support this local business and love Hmong/southeast asian food, but this was some of the worst food we've ever had and we really aren't harsh critics. We were highly disappointed because several of my friends hyped up the food and it was not at all what they described. I tried to be optimistic as we tried one dish at a time, but it just kept getting worse. When we asked our friends what they liked about the food, they said we "ordered all the wrong dishes". It's unfortunate that only a couple dishes on the menu are apparently "tasty" and "so good," because that was not at all our experience. I understand everyone has their own taste and preferences, but I personally do not recommend this place, as everything was poorly made and very expensive. You can definitely save money and get Hmong food that's much more delicious elsewhere in the twin cities area.

Very open space and the food was decent. Unfortunately that's where it ends. My party (8 people) got in and were seated but waited 35 minutes just to place a order. The place was halfway full and given the size of our party, we were expecting a wait but 35 minutes just to order? We had to flag down a waiter because they forgot about us. The waiter took our order and a few of the drinks on the menu that we wanted were out. No big deal I guess... it happens. 15 minutes after we ordered, we finally got water. That's 50 minutes from when we were seated just to get water! Ridiculous! The food finally came shortly after but before it all did, so did our tab! First place ever where the check comes before all the food. Our mixed drinks never came! Usually I'm relaxed about the customer service as long as they tried but it never felt that way. I would leave this place alone!

Can I just say I had the worst time at Unison. I reserved one of their rooms which was the "barn" room and had the worse experience. It was suppose to be a surprise celebration for my boyfriends graduation party. I reserved the room weeks in advance to make sure we got the room. I even talked to the manager to make sure I got all mines and theirs information correct. The Monday prior to the event happening I went into the restaurant to order my catering food. It was a total of $600. I talked to the server taking my order to make sure that I'll get my food on time for the party the following Friday night. I asked to make sure to have it by eight pm when the party starts. The server said the cooks will be able to do that for me. We went over everything I ordered to make sure it was correct. The day before the event I call them to ask again if the food can be out by eight pm so my party can eat once everyone arrives. The lady over the phone said "yes we can do that but if we are busy it might come out a little later." I said "how late are we looking at?" Then she says "about ten to fifteen mins later then eight." I told her that should be okay. They were gonna have an event that night as well so I double checked to see if my party members will be paying a fee due to them having an event. She told me they will not because the event will be on the other side. That question was what prompt me to call them the day before the party event. The day of the event I get a phone call from unison at five pm asking if I was still coming. I told them yes I do plan on coming in that night for my event still. Then I told them that my sister will be coming in for me by 7:30pm to check in, and put up some decorations. My boyfriend and I get to the party and it's 8:15pm by now. The food was not ready. No one communicated with me about the food. I had to go search for the server and talk to the manager. 9:30pm was the time when we finally got all of the food out to us. Which was very upsetting because of all the conversations I had with them. Once we got to eating all of our foods, some of my party members realizes that it tasted a little off. As we look at the food table there were puddles of water. That's when we looked up in the ceiling and there was water leaking from the pipes down to our food. We had to throw away a whole tray of food due to it being contaminated. It was so disappointing to see all of this happening. It was just another mistake on top of another. I do not recommend hosting an event there. If they want their restaurant to be a good place to host parties they need to step up. I did get refunded for the mistakes they did but it was the worst experience I'd ever had. Never again will I host an event there for my friends and family.

My beef jerky doesn't taste the same as last time I ate here, not good now. Pad see iew has a bad taste, there's old vegetables in there. I'm not a fan of the soggy pad thai. The crispy chicken is not crispy and tastes mediocre. Overall I would not be going back.

Horrible service! Came and took our order, brought half of what we ordered, came back after we were almost done eating the dishes they did bring out, saying that the other two remaining dishes will take 10 MORE MINUTES!One of the two dishes came out and the other one never came, never once refilled our water, they didn't even give us plates and spoons to eat our fried rice. I guess they were expecting for us to eat out of the main dish with the giant serving spoon. They cared more about their dumb karaoke night instead of quality food and service. Even their waiters were singing karaoke. I don't ever write reviews but I needed to write this one. Went to pay and they never even had that last dish made. All they did was apologize. How is an apology even going to make up for the horrific experience? The food was only mediocre. They weren't even busy. There were three other tables that were there before us. We ordered two appetizers and three dishes. Not a huge order to fulfill. I would give them a 0 star rating if I could.

If you're looking for a restaurant with mediocre Hmong/Asian cuisine, deplorable, non-existent service, where your food comes out sporadically and you have to constantly remind the waiter (if you locate her) what dishes you're missing - Unison Restaurant is the place for you. If you're looking for anything resembling dining service - you're better off going anywhere else.

Originally, I did not want to write a review but seeing how Unison has left me on seen and is unresponsive to my message I will share my terrible experience. Last Friday, we arrived at 8:30 and were seated. Once our entire party of 9 showed up, we waited about 10 minutes before someone finally came back around and asked if we had order yet. Once we ordered, it took more than an hour to get our food. I get it, it was Friday and extra busy seeing how CB and FE has yet to open due to COVID. However, what I did not understand was, why did it take an hour to bring out the Pho? My spring rolls did not come out until the end of the meal, my brother's passion fruit drink was not brought out until the end of the meal. My 6-year-old nephew got so hungry he started crying! Eventually when the food did come out, they brought out 3 of the dishes. We finished it, then brought out another dish and so forth. One of our dishes never came so we cancelled it obviously, one of our to go order came out and I had to ask 3 different individuals for a To-Go box because it was TO GO! I had to ask for the condiments for the pho, they brought out the veggies, so I asked again, this time the server felt the need to point to the veggies and said it was already out. Condiments in case anyone is confused like the server would be the hoisin sauce, sriracha, fish sauce ect. There were so many things that I had to ask for that was unnecessary. After we had packed up our food, we waited another 10-15 for our bill. The food was good, not something that I would go out of my way for, but due to this experience, I will never go back. Also, there was a special going on that night that our server neglected to tell us about and charged us full price. We didn't know about the special until we looked at their FB page later that evening.

Atmosphere is cool with a unique feel bc of the little rooms for small groups. The food has been average, love the pork intestine but seems like they've been cutting back on the seasoning/sauce. Pho is really tasty! Laab is a hit and miss. Chicken feet and the cheese wonton are the best appetizer!
