They have beef, lamb, and goat quesabirria tacos. The other two were sold out so I tried the beef which was flavorful and so was the consome.

Ordered online for delivery. Ordered the birria plate & the flautas. I asked for no pico and no guac as i’m allergic to avocados & they still put it on my plate. The birria was oversalted, no consome, no cheese and i asked for extra lime + onion and got neither. For $43 you’d think it would be better quality. will not frequent again

I live in walking distance and I absolutely love this place. The food is excellent, you can smell it down the street to draw you in lol. It's a small corner restaurant with a lovely Spanish culture atmosphere. Super cool owner and staff. Love love this place💕💯

Hey fam, you all need to try this place. Drive by cause this place looks like a dive but my foodie instints were like, "it looks like this cauee they focus all their attention on the food" and i was not wrong! Plenry of parking! Ordered the beef birria tacos which was recommended by the server. It was smackin! Plenty of flavor! Ordered shrimp tacos and they were good! Shrimp was not overcooked and rubbery like some places. Wifey Ordered street tacos and she loved them too! The sides bean and rice was not an after thought either. Will be back frfr!

In town just for the weekend and stopped in to check them out and was not at all disappointed! The food cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service was great. Would recommend to any one visiting or locals.

My husband and I went last weekend on Saturday evening(we were recommended by a friend), and we were absolutely amazed at how tasty everything was! So fresh and The gentleman who took our order was funny, talkative, friendly and was very attentive to us. We were the only couple for awhile, but they did have quite a few take-out orders during the 2 hours we were there. We had multiple items, and we even took home their famous steak tacos to our inlaws for a snack. We were so thrilled with the place, we are taking my parents there tomorrow night when they get in from out of state. We recommend this place to everyone who loves excellent Mexican food!

I would only come here for taco Tuesday. Can't beat anything for $1. Normal street tacos come with 2 corn tortilla shells (at least from my experience), this restaurant uses 1. Not a problem, again, it's only $1. Do the tacos taste amazing? NOPE. But it's decent and, you guessed it... $1. Now the tacos are $1.25. You still cannot beat the price. Here's my issue. I ordered 4 tacos and I asked for jalapeños. My total was more than it should be. I did head math and the math wasn't mathing. I work in customer service so I make it a point to be polite. I just want to put that out there. I politely asked if he charged more for carnitas, he said no. So I asked why the price was off. He said he charges $0.65 per jalapeño. I said, OK, my bad, i thought they were free, you can remove the jalapeños. HE GOT AN ATTITUDE and told me ' $0.65 isn't even that much'. I took my money back and walked out. I refuse to patronize places with rude customer service. If you can't cover your overhead with tacos priced at $1.25 then raise the price. Don't nickle and dime for condiments that are given away freely at competitive restaurants. Especially when your food isn't that good.

I went to United Mariscos Y Birrieria today on a hot Bay Area Taco Tuesday . I haven`t been for a while . It used to be $ 1 , but as of 3 / 25 / 25 the tacos are $ 1.33 . I got 5 , and no worries . I got carnitas and they were nice pieces chopped into cubes . Great red salsa , onions and celantro . Perfecto . Thanks UMYB , muy sabor . Support small local restaurants

Ordered through Yelp for carne asada fries/papas locas. On the menu it says "steak fries, French fries with beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo and carne asada with shrimp for an additional charge". I asked for mine to be with no beans, no cheese and no sour cream. They did that- and also decided to not put in the guac and the pico de gallo as well. So I just paid $13.95 for fries and steak.

Ordered and paid for a super burrito with everything and choice of meat was birria... confirmed twice with the manager? Cashier? but what I got wasn't what I paid for... not going back here and would not recommend anyone stop here either.

This was my second time coming and the food was even better than the first time! The service is warm and inviting. I can't recommend this spot more highly. It does not disappoint.

Very friendly owner/chef/take out man, but after getting some take out in person I got home to discover the corn tortillas I clearly ordered were missing. Delicious food but I'm partially disappointed with tonight's dinner, those tortillas would've very much enhanced my meal instead of the saltines he did include. I will try the place again, mostly because its proximity to my current home. Also, as we chatted (the only two people in the restaurant), I asked him if he had jicama, we both walked to the fridge, he found a quarter of a jicama, showed it to me, went on preparing my salads (the entrees were stuffed shrimp wrapped in crispy bacon and breaded shrimp, both with fried pinto beans and Mexican red rice), but did not add any jicama in my salads.

Just started coming on Tuesday's, cause you know taco Tuesday's!!! Why not?! Honestly I feel like these are hands down one of my favorite spots to get tacos!!!! Service is great! Nice people, clean environment which makes me feel good coming here to just grab something to eat!! Definitely will keep coming. Happy customer here! And so will you.

I came in for Taco Tuesday for $1 Tacos! In this economy, that would be a bargain but these were the saddest tacos I have ever seen. There was little filing, like bare minimum. I had ordered 12 tacos and handed $20 cash. There's a sign that says there is a 4% fee for card or 4% discount with cash. I was given back $6.15 in change. There was no discount plus $12 × 1.1075 for San Leandro sales tax is $13.29. My change should have been $6.71. It's a small difference but still shady in my opinion. If you want better value Tuesday tacos, go to Tacos Papo on Decoto in Union City.

Got a chicken quesadilla supreme wish i took a pic to show u guys the bs they served me. Not to mention flavorless made me wonder if i had covid for a moment! Flavorless and 16.04 for a lil chicken quesadilla with a lil sour cream and pieces of tomatoe. Dont waste your time. I was just hungry and been on the road all day and wanted something kinda quick.... bad choice!!!!

WATCH FOR THE DIP IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!! Rocky start coming in but hey the things you do for tacos. My friends and I got the birria tacos, but the meat was kind of dry in my opinion. The flavour was present, but the dry meat took some of the enjoyment away. Regardless, it was enough to satisfy our taco cravings. I kind of smothered the taco with the provided sauce and that did the job. The steak fries were good too. The serving is quite large and the guac is on point. It seemed like the business has been struggling a bit because of covid, so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt here.

Came here about a couple months ago for their $1 taco Tuesday! Honestly, the best deal for taco Tuesday I've seen practically anywhere, even in other states. They make it fresh to order and really load up the tacos with a generous portion of meat considering it's only $1. Onions, cilantro, mild salsa are also added. I also like how they package each type of taco together separately from each other. We got the chicken, pastor, carnitas, and steak tacos. Steak was probably my favorite and the meat was fairly flavorful. Pastor was recommended by the person taking my order and was like a tomato flavored pork that wasn't too bad. I didn't try the Chicken or carnitas but my mom seemed to think they were a bit on the drier side. We will have to come back for their special Birria and carne asada fries. For ordering, you order inside just at the door. Then you can wait outside until the order is ready to lessen the exposure. The guy preparing the tacos was wearing a noticeably soiled cloth mask and touched his glove to his mask, so that probably was my biggest concern. Parking lot is small and a bit tight so be careful pulling in and out.

I really wanted a birria taco and found this place on yelp. Uuuugh, I so wanted to like this place but it's a miss for me. The tacos did not come with cheese and I had to add it on. The meat was dry. And not worth $14. The staff was super friendly though. Parking lot is tight.

I had a neighbor who invited me to over all the time. He and his lovely familia had a partido damn near every month. There was unlimited drinking and all-you-can eat tacos callejeros. They treated me like family. Ohana. It's a fond memory I've never forgotten. I've seen the sign at UMyB offering $1 Taco Tuesday. While birria de tacos are my favorite, I'm enjoying beef and chicken tacos (2 each). Steak, not ground beef. Small diced chicken. Both well seasoned and topped with white onions and cilantro. Squeeze of fresh lime and a dap of the complimentary salsa, it's delicious! I've been here a few times and always receive a kind welcome. Feels like Ohana!

I love there steak fries! But all I've been tasting is whole lotta pepper and hard steak.. maybe next time I'll try again..

Usually very good. Today, the birria tacos are salty as all get out and there are multiple small bones that I nearly cracked a few teeth on.

I couldn't wait to try this place since not too many taquerias serve birria tacos with the consome. The bf and I came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed! We ordered 2 plates of the beef birria tacos and a side of consome. The server brought over complementary chips and salsa right away, which were bomb btw. The food, however, took over 25 mins to arrive. The tacos didn't come with melted cheese like we expected. So it was on the dry side. Luckily we had the consome to dip them in. I did enjoy the crispy taco shells. Another tip: they do not serve complementary water, only bottled water.

The food here is bomb! They also have great service. You have to try the quesabirria tacos and consomé of birria de res. It is the best birria I've ever had! You seriously have to give this place a try.

These some of the saddest tacos I've had in a while. The tortilla crumbled while we tried to eat the taco. The tortilla is integral to the taco so the failure of this major component of a taco is pretty much a failure of the whole taco. The meats were not that flavorful. We got the lamb Birria tacos. The meat wasn't that juicy and there wasn't much taste to the consomé. The carne asada was very wet for some reason. Anyways, just a major letdown. If it wasn't for the crumbling tacos, I would give this place maybe a 3 star review. And thats me for being generous. FYI, steep driveway here, unless you're in a truck, you're gonna scrape your bumper.

I chose this little taco shop to have my first birria tacos, and although I had high expectations, they still managed to surpassed them. The meat is so tender and juicy. The warm cheese is like a piece of melted heaven in each bite. I also got the consome broth to dip the tacos in, making it even more yummy. The workers are amazing and patient as we navigated the menu since it was our first time. Next time I'll be back for the Taco Tuesday deal!!

Birria tacos were not bad. I noticed the kitchen staff does NOT wear masks like another yelper has mentioned. I'm still alive after eating there yesterday. Pricing seems off. Final bill came out higher than menu prices with tax but I let it slide. A few outdoor tables. Beware of huge driveway dip if your car is low.

Some friends recommended this place for the birria tacos and my son has been requesting to try. So we headed out and arrived at the establishment. Ordered my son the beef, lamb & beef/lamb combo birrias and he said it was super tasty. He said, definitely a repeater. My husband and I ordered the plate combo and they screwed up the order. We ordered hard tacos but they gave us soft. Mini chicken burritos were super salty. My flauta and my husbands enchilada was just ok. The tostada was missing as they gave us a mini burrito instead. The guy who took the order wasn't friendly and possibly took down the wrong order. The rice and beans were super tasty though. If we decide to come back for the birrias, we'll eat there. It got a bit soggy by the time we got home. Minimal tables. It's a hole in the wall joint. You're not here for fine dining. There's parking available on the property. BUT, they have a really crappy drive way. If you have a lowered car, even just the standard car or even a mini van. You have to angle your car onto the driveway, other wise your front bumper will scrape. One car pulled into the drive way, scraped and when he backed out, his entire bumper was practically pulled off. Another vehicle, Toyota mini van got his front bumper scraped too but it didn't look as bad as the first vehicle. The food was just alright with the exception of the birria tacos being really tasty. Probably not a repeater for us.

Went here to scratch my taco itch! And it was more like slapping the itch. It does the job and the flavor was there but the texture wasn't there. I got the birria tacos and the tortilla had the yummy soup flavor!! but it was a bit soggy from the soup and the meat, which was plentiful, wasnt quite juicy either. Because we got take out, it vould have been the 15 min waiting to eat time. Id have to try again another time.

Regular tacos: 5/5 Birria tacos: 2/5 I was disappointed because the whole reason I ordered from this place was to try their Birria tacos. I've been on the hunt for some good Birria tacos and was hoping to hit the jackpot. The meat was so dry and chewy, and combining that with the dry tortilla shell was not good. On top of that they're not cheap, three tacos for $10. For that price I was expecting them to be delicious! The pictures on Yelp looked good, which made my experience even more disappointing. Since it was taco Tuesday, I also ordered Carne Asada tacos, Al Pastor tacos, Carnitas tacos, and pollo Asado tacos. These were delicious! Everything I expected in a taco. The meat was so juicy and flavorful, THESE tasted fresh. They were topped with a lot of onion and cilantro which is my favorite. I would definitely come back for these tacos, each one was $2.

They get a zero star worse food I've had in a while ,I don't know how to ruin a taco but they have figured out the perfect recipe .got three taco three meats all were over cooked and under seasoned paid extra for the regular tacos and they still were trash never going back again

Stopped here with a friend near the end of a drive from LA to Berkeley on a rainy day, thinking that birria tacos with consomme would be a nice respite after a long stretch on the road. This place is a true hole-in-the-wall - the parking lot is just a plot of cracked asphalt with a small overhanging section, with a dead-end corner. I remember having to back out with something like a 5-point turn when I was leaving. The food was decent but not amazing - it took a while to come out and wasn't super hot when it did, and the place wasn't exactly crowded either. Still, they offer real goat birria which definitely has a good amount of authentic, meaty, stewed flavor. Probably wouldn't make the trip here again, but no regrets in making the detour off the freeway to try this place.

I want to come back! But remote working and school has kept me at home and this place is a bit out of the way. This place is as authentic as it gets. It's about food, not ambience. Husband got birria, al Pastor tacos and carnitas tacos which he loved (birria followed by carnitas). Birria got chef's kiss approval from Hispanic husband. I got several tacos and the ceviche mixta. The ceviche was so good! Really great sized portion, everything was piled on and falling off the tostada as I ate. For tacos I got carne asada and carnitas. It was way too much food for me. I would usually order 3 street tacos (in general at taquerias for portion) and I feel like this meal would equate 4 or 5 tacos in portion size. As I brought this restaurant up with my husband to ask his opinion on the food, he excitedly interjected that once he gets his vaccine he wants to come back. I think that's saying something. Highly recommend!

$4.75 PER birria taco $4.75 for consommé .75 extra for cheese .75 extra for sour cream A bit overpriced. Not a fan of the tacos without cheese. Consommé slightly bland. :/

Don't be fooled by this restaurant's humble exterior, their food is SERIOUSLY flavorful. My favorite are the Quesabirria's, but I also LOVE their tacos. Make sure you try their Chorizo Tacos. Those are my favorite! But you can't go wrong with any of them! The Pastor Tacos are also amazing, as well as the Carne Asada! I have NEVER had a bad meal at this place, and I've been there scores of times! And as far as the owners, once you meet them and see what nice, genuine people they are, you will be very happy you are giving them your business! They couldn't be better people!

Not sure if they were prepared for Covid19. But came here for cinco de mayo on taco Tuesday and with the long line and 3 people working ( cook, taco assembler, cashier) they sold out of tacos by 7pm! I came to try the birria n it was whack! Not crispy it was like a reg Tortilla folded in half. The cashier was soooooo unorganized he kept losing orders and some people were waiting for 1 hour n he forgot! He didn't bother to tell the rest of the people they sold out of tacos (cuz they took on the phone orders ) n left their sign there I had to tell everyone n they double check to see if it was true n was truly disappointed for wasting their time. Poor management. And social distancing wasn't accomplished here Too many people going in to check on their order because the guy kept forgetting

I ordered 6 carne asada tacos at $1.25 a piece for taco tuesday. Plus one carne asada quesadilla. Warning... it's a rip off. I had maybe 6 small chunks of asada on every taco. Quesadilla was mediocre at best.... Avoid at all costs unless you feel like being disappointed. Plus very skimpy on sauce. With that order the gave 1 very small cup of salsa. I asked for another and got attitude.

I came here for taco Tuesday and to try their birria tacos. I had the al pastor tacos that were pretty good, the three birria taco plate and consome. I got one of each of the meats: Goat, Beef and Lamb. The consome is a must if you're getting birria tacos. Especially if it's later in the day. I can see how someone would say these tacos are dry, because that's what I thought when I unpacked my to go order. Also, the shells were really soft and I was scared they'd fall apart. However, once I dipped them, I was in heaven. The consome was a little salty to consume on its own. So I added some ramen noodles and a little bit of water the next day for lunch. Needless to say I had soup splashed all of my shirt. Overall, the service is decent and the tacos are good. Not the greatest but solid. I love that you can get other meat besides beef for the birria tacos. But I was slightly disappointed with the tortilla. I'd go back for Taco Tuesday for sure but I'm iffy on the birria tacos. I'd probably opt for the stew or by the pound.

Looked promising from the signs pulled in and winged it. Horrible choice. Got the tacos birria with consume. Consume cost extra, our total came out to $32 for super nachos, birria tacos and consume. The price added it didn't make complete sense either over price Birria or I was charged some subtle extra few dollars being new and asking questions. Super Nachos - horrible the chips were clearly old and stale. Had to pop open my own bag of tortilla chips at home and just scoop the steak off and eat that. Birria - tacos were Cheesy, very very plain. The consume would normally come in to the rescue but. Consume - also plain not flavorful. Felt like I was dipping it into a a liquid just to wet it didn't add any flavor spice nothing. And with how my total came out, 10.95 super nachos, Consume - 3.95 Tacos birrias - wasn't listed but had to be like 14 for 3 tacos? For the math to work towards my total. Regardless of price, food nachos stale, tacos unflavorful. Was not worth it and not reccomend.

Hands down the best birria tacos I've had in the Bay. So unexpected in an area dominated by car lots and repair shops! Complete surprise to me!

The birria tacos are good but not worth it to come back The fish tostada was also good but wow it was dripping in juice from tomatoes Drain it first ! Ordered 7 tacos, received 6. Not sure what it was but did not taste like beef. My son ate the tacos and I had the quesadilla. I would have liked to enjoy the tacos but the flavor just didn't agree with me. My son liked them.

My sister was a big fan of the Sopa de 7 Mares. She battled cancer and this would help liven up her day even if it was just a little while. Can't wait to try it for myself.

This has the worst Mexican food I ever had. One of the worst food I ever had. Eat here at your own risk. If you decide to eat here Mexican food is way better than what you decided to eat.

This place was a solid first try. A little hesitant (judging a book by its cover) but the quesabirria was delicious a must try and being a San Leandro local I'll definitely be going back for more.

If you are a fan of birria, you will love United Mariscos y Birrieria. After inhaling 5 of their tacos just now, I feel like a new man. Very efficient catering service too! I am currently recommending these tacos to all my friends and family!

Oh my god.. or should I say Ay dios mios! The tacos here are BOMB. I just so happened to come on Taco Tuesday.. thought I died and gone to heaven. You could basically eat until you can't walk no more without breaking the bank. You can get the carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, or chicken tacos for $1. Although its the mini size tacos, they pack on the meat!! The al pastor comes with little grilled pineapple chunks too! The birria of course is to DIE for. After all it is a birrieria (say that 3 times fast lol) I tried the lamb and it was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. Plus the senor who took care of us was super nice. Only thing was they don't have water cups, only bottled water for $1 (might as well get agua fresca) I know where I'm gonna be.. every Tuesday from now on.

The chicken birria tacos were really good I will definitely be making this my new spot. Overall the food was great!

First time coming by this place and I've driven by it many times. $1 Taco Tuesday? Why not! Came by half hour before they closed. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew there isn't much to an ambiance. Three stars because of good service. I ordered: Goat Biria taco (it's not $1 on Tuesdays. I didn't mind, I wanted to try it. I'd have to say, I will come back for this. It was tasty. Had 1 of each: pastor, carnitas, polo, carne asada and pescado. If it wasn't for the service, I wouldn't come back. There was barely any meat to taste what it was. I just knew by the color and texture. The worse $1 tacos. But, I guess that's why they are a $1. Raise the price to $1.50 and add more meat. This place specializes in a lot of shrimp dishes and biria by the look of the menu. I will give them a try one more time since the ladies working here are very kind.

3.5 Birria tacos were so juicy! For $4.95 a pop, I'm glad they delivered on flavor. My husband said they would be even better if it had cheese and the consommé, which I didn't know I had order separately. Steak fries were okay, wish guac was included in it. Super burrito was standard according to husband. Good size.

No masks while cooking and food was okay -- we've been looking forward to try this place, the person who took our order seemed very irritated but that's okay, he was wearing a mask. You could see the kitchen as it's visible through big glass windows, we were parked right in front of it. We noticed 3 gentlemen in the kitchen, no masks and chitchatting. The food, it's alright, I give it a 3, actually one of the best Steak quesadillas I've had - generous amount of meat. But midst pandemic, we were very worried and stressed out while eating it and after and it doesn't make it worth it. Kinda sad that maybe people don't cRe as much? We could've not eaten it but it was already paid for and it was going to be our first meal of the day.

I am 61, and to say that I have eaten A LOT of Mexican food in my life is a gross understatement, and I'd I have to say that United Mariscos y Birrieria goes down as one of THE BEST Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten at! They might not have the fanciest napkins or cutlery, and the waiters might not be dressed in tuxedos, but I ALWAYS leave there happy as can be, feeling like "Wow! THAT was GOOD!!!"

This is the first time I came here. I've always drove by it, but never stopped to try. It's Tuesday, so I'm feeling like some tacos. I searched around and saw that this was close by to my house. Decided to come and try out their tacos. The parking space is limited, or maybe because it's mostly big trucks/bad parkers. I went in and placed my order and in about less than 10 mins my order was ready. I took it to go and brought it home to eat. The tacos are delicious. I do wish that they gave work jalapeño, or some lime or extra sauce. I'm docking down 1 star because it seemed like my tacos only contained onions! I had to scrape off majority of the onions because it was too much. But overall it was a good experience and the tacos were delicious.
