"After a few months of delays, Ono Hawaiian Plates is up and running at United Noodles. Owners Warren Seta and Jess Kelley have done a whole buildout in the grocery store, conjuring up beachside vibes with picnic tables, an ocean mural, and of course, dishes like garlic shrimp and kalbi short ribs, Hawaiian barbecue chicken, and luau bowls with ahi poke and kalua pork. A grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, January 20." - Justine Jones

"United Noodles’ UniDeli may be retired, but the pan-Asian grocery store still sells freshly made banh mi sandwiches for lunch and dinner. This former warehouse building also has aisles upon aisles of fresh noodles, frozen dumplings, meat and fish, and tropical produce like Thai bananas, Korean melon, and dragonfruit. If you’re looking to stock up on rice, this is the spot — grab a 25-pound bag." - Cecilia Johnson, Eater Staff

This review is more about the customers than the store itself. Although, the store and staff are always wonderful! Yesterday while I was in a rush to grab ingredients for a small dinner get together, I lost my bracelet. My son searched one side of the store, I retraced my steps on the other side. I didn't realize until I was just about done shopping (so about an hour in the store). When I was done checking out I said "can I leave my number in case by small chance you come across my bracelet, it looks like this watch" and the cashier handed me my bracelet!!! I just started crying. She said a good Samaritan found it on the ground outside and turned it in. I was in shock!! There are truly kind honest angels amongst us and I am truly touched and extremely grateful! You didn't leave your name or info. I will be making a donation in your anonymous honor.. Thank you again and thank you to the most honest staff at United Noodle that a girl could ever hope for..By the way, Dinner was a hit!

Google
It's the best supermarket for buying imported food from Asia. You can get most of the ingredients you'll ever need at united noodles. The produce is fresh and cheaper too compared to other stores. They have packaged food, frozen food, spices, candy, fresh produce, and even a gift shop. The staff is super helpful too. The place is very big, but could benefit from some upkeep. The place is a lil hard to find may be, but Google maps guide you right to the front door. There is free parking right outside.

Google
I love United Noodles! Prices are a bit higher compared to what I was used to in Chicago when I lived there last year, but this place is ace for finding a lot of Vegan based Asian sauces, products and fresh veggies. But still cheaper than Whole Foods!

Google
I try to go to night noodles during the week, preferably in the afternoon time between 12 and four. It seems to be less busy weekend seem to be the busiest times. The staff is always helpful. They have great recommendations. The produces always much fresher than any of the options in the surrounding supermarkets.

Google
10/10, this is my certified place to buy rice, sauces, and noodles in bulk! I miss the Sun Noodle Ramen a ton but it’s still my favorite grocery store. Also the staff rock, and it’s right next to Coastal if you’d like their things or to stop over for a burger 🙌🏽

Google
This store is fantastic. The selection is incredible. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to where things are located in the store. Finding what you're looking for is not easy.

elli marongelli

Google
They generally have a good selection of various and niche Asian items and ingredients, especially if you are buying shelf stable items. However, you have to be diligent on checking the items you buy for spoilage. Often I find items on the shelf past their expiration date, and on multiple occasions I've found inflated packages in the refrigerated aisles (a sign of spoilage). I went in recently to buy kimchi, and the jar was barely chilled; thermometer in the fridge read 50 degrees. For produce that is going to be used right away, this is not an issue, but I am sadly no longer confident in purchasing items that are meant for longer term cold storage from here.

Mike T

Google
I love this store. They certainly put a lot of effort into improving the business. I just wish it wasn't in the back alley of an industrial park. The produce alone is worth a trip for the quality and price.

Yelp
A pretty solid Asian grocery store with good selection of products. Sort of reminded me of the 168 Markets back home. Lots of frozen foods (dumplings, fish cake, tofu, ect.), large selection of sauces (I was looking for Yamasa shoyu and they had it!), veggies, a variety of instant noodles, spices, snacks, and drinks. They've also got a Hawaiian fast food place and a gift shop inside. Check out was smooth and the cashiers were efficient. Parking was easy in the back.

Yelp
United noodles is somewhere I have been going for the past 3-4 years. It has become really the only asian grocery store I go to. The inside isn't necessarily beautiful but it's a lot cleaner than most Asian grocery stores. As a child I went to almost every single one in Minnesota since my mother is Korean and enjoyed making different Asian dishes. United doesn't have that super funky fish smell that a lot of other Asian grocery stores do either. They have a pretty good variety of things and I can usually find what I'm looking for. I also enjoy their little gift shop! I think it has a good selection of cooking tools and cute fun gifts. I do wish their candy / snack section was a little larger but it's not too bad. I do enjoy their banh mis that they sell right when you walk in, it's a nice little treat! The staff is friendly and I never have to wait too long in the line!

Yelp
I used to live and work in Twin Cities about 20 years ago (as a chef) and would come here for two main reasons. 1. Best JAPANESE product selection in the area (outside of Chicago) 2. Pretty well stocked, and solid variety of other Asian products. Coming from states that had larger Asian demographic and stores (L.A., N.Y, Houston, etc.) there were obviously things I was spoiled by and that's understandable, like price, variety, fresh products, etc but I managed and what I couldn't get readily, I could usually order for myself through a purveyor at work (which most people can't) I recently returned to MN and have been scoping the new food markets and scene and pleased to see United Noodle still here in same spot but when I went in I immediately noticed the selections have diminished and the prices...........WOW, I mean WOW. I'm sorry UN, but your prices are out of control, I know with the pandemic, shipping and availability of products has gotten tougher and more expensive, but going to other large markets in St Paul, Burnsville, etc. and price comparing, you guys are way to high, and not worth me shopping there any more. I may have to go there for a Japanese item that I can't find somewhere else but with your diminished Japanese inventory, there really isn't much, I would hope they adjust these things soon, since everything is getting back to normal now and business that tried to use the pandemic as an excuse has worn thing on consumers and is no longer accepted! FYI, the two stars is mostly for the prices but also for diminished Japanese products.

Leah T.

Yelp
I am in charge of egg rolls for a holiday get together and needed some Asian ingredients. The produce selection was slim pickings. I was surprised there were no Thai chili peppers. The building is big and difficult to navigate. It was ok but I think I prefer Sun Foods for egg roll supplies. Check out was fast and easy.

Yelp
This is my go-to Asian grocery store whenever I need something quick. It's near my house and has it all from different countries all over east and south east Asia. Their only downside is that it's expensive in comparison to other Asian grocery stores in the area. I still come here as it's very clean, organized and easy to shop. I recently came back from Japan and Korea and was pleased to find some of the snacks from there. The Royal milk tea bag with little packets was $2 in Japan and $10 here, but I understand that importing products is pricey. It's good to know I can just stop here if I'm ever having a craving for one of those things, however I don't see myself shopping here for all my needs. Just selected special items.

Taylor B.

Yelp
They have such a vast variety of food, and you can find nearly anything to make some cool authentic meals. One of my favorite parts of going here is just finding new interesting snacks, or sweet treats to bring home and try!

Greg H.

Yelp
Always the best selection and it's organized with clear labels on the shelves. Helpful staff. Parking is shared with costal seafoods, but is sufficient.

Luke X.

Yelp
Stopped by for food. There was only a counter making ban mi sandwiches. It would be great if there was consistency so we don't drive here for nothing.

Garrett Z.

Yelp
My main place to grab my essential Asian grocery products or if I am looking for something on the more peculiar side. What I like about this locations is that there is a large variety of items to choose from with many different brands of the same product so you can do your research and pick the one you prefer. Many different countries are represented here. The produce and frozen section has some items that are extremely hard to find anywhere else in the Twin Cities so it is nice to be able to find all of my Asian food ingredients all in one place. Good selection of produce and veggies. You cannot skip their made to order food as well. They make a pretty good Bahn Mi that is great for a quick lunch or dinner to go. If you are in need of a some peculiar items or just want to become a little more cultured, United Noodles is a great place to stop and try.

Risa Y.

Yelp
Loving the expansion! The recent additions of all kinds of Asian gift items, ranging in prices and quality are awesome. I love that there are toys, plush toys, dinner ware, bento boxes! I love that I can find beauty products like shampoos and hair care and skin care items. Pharmaceutical items too! I don't feel a need to go to the next bigger city like Chicago for instance for my Asian shopping needs...since I can get many, many items here! This is my one stop shopping for fresh organic veggies as well.. all the vegetables come from local farms and re very fresh and you can tell it has been very carefully hand selected, and it's very, very low cost compared to the nearest co-ops like the Wedge or high-end grocery stores like Whole foods. The fish and meat market is very high quality and excellent too and very reasonably priced. LOVE United Noodles!

Joel T.

Yelp
They have Boss coffee. the rest do not. the store is well organized with fresh vegetables that are the best.

Robert W.

Yelp
I did my grocery shopping there this week and it had an amazing selection of Asian groceries from all over Asia. I grew up going to H Mart and I think I actually liked this place even more. The staff were so friendly and even walked me to the fresh noodles when I couldn't find any. I will admit that it was very difficult for me to find certain products as many of the labels are not in English, but google translate will be your best friend if you are like me. I will definitely be going back and look forward to returning. I saw they had some hot food that I'll be trying next time for sure.

Marlene M.

Yelp
We loved our visit to United Noodles. A Huge selection of everything you may ever want. Lots of snacks and goodies.

Christina C.

Yelp
It took me long enough to go to United Noodles after several recommendations to go. I was amazed! When we first walked in, we were greeted by the hot foods. I know it's limited currently due to COVID-19, but wow! Curry Katsu with rice - picked up one of those immediately. Spam musubi - I had no idea what it was but I needed it. It was delicious. Banh mi for $5.99!? It was fantastic. Also, I found those boba ice cream pops that I've been searching for. They live up to the hype. I grew up on the East Coast, so large Asian supermarkets were fairly common. While I would still categorize United Noodles as a grocery store, I was able to take a walk down memory lane and find many of snacks I had as a kid. The frozen aisles are spread out, but you can pretty much find everything you need, even if it is not super intuitive. The produce section is pretty awesome too. I picked up a bamboo steamer set - best purchase yet. I love that there is a home goods section. Not that I use cooking chopsticks, but I appreciated that there were a variety of cooking chopsticks available.

Yelp
Food: I came here off of a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by how busy it was on a Sunday late afternoon. We split the Char Sui appetizer and the Dramen. The Char Sui was soft, fatty meat cooked in a light BBQ type sauce. The Dramen was chock full of various different seasonings and flavors. The broth itself is the real star with the noodles not necessarily adding anything besides heft. The egg in the Dramen was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Venue: This little restaurant is located inside a larger Asian market. The inside was very clean. There's parking located outside the store.

Grace S.

Yelp
Unique delicious & healthy foods available here. Want to be gourmet in your day? Come here!!! They even have a small indoor restaurant & neighbor premier fish & seafood markets. I must come here more often & save money, have better tasting gourmet food, have a treat!

B H.

Yelp
I agree with those who are saying the place changed. I don't know what happened but their selection has dropped and, especially for Japanese items, become extremely lacking. Minneapolis is never going to be LA when it comes to specialty markets (e.g just Japanese) and United Noodles was the better option of lackluster choices. Now they've jumped the shark. I've been two times in the last 2 months and left more than disappointed--I've been left surprised. I can understand why they closed the popular cafe in the pandemic, but the rest of the store is inexplicable. Of the things I could find... I was about to buy some noodles packs and wisely checked the side: expired a week later (I'm not eating that many noodles on a week, haha). It was just another sign of a bigger problem: the entire store seems to have lost its way and is coasting on a pre-pandemic reputation that is in no way met by the current iteration. Someone should make a better market and finally put this place out of its misery.

Corey H.

Yelp
This store is a bit of a hike from my house but it's about three times as large as the Asian food store closest to me. It's also a lot cleaner and brighter and has a huge vegetable section. This store has lots of canned goods, box goods, huge bags of rice. I have come with a list and found everything my list and then bought random bottles of sauce and use them and been quite pleased. I like it because it feels like you're in another country almost, love all the packaging on goods shipped from Asian countries all around the world. Come explore!

Margaret S.

Yelp
Wow. What a phenomenal selection!!!! Love this place!!! Looking forward to going back !!!!

Chris C.

Yelp
We've been fans of United Noodles for several years. I have heard that United Noodles is the largest Asian grocery store in the Midwest That was several years ago and I feel they have only improved and expanded since. This includes a visit from DDD within the past couple of years. We first started coming to United Noodles for their Unideli. I love, love, love their char siu. I used to order it by the pound then go home and make some rice and being in my happy place. I've also been known to pick up some Lap Xuong and cook that up in a pot of rice. Oh so good! If you need anything Asian, you can probably find it at United Noodles. This day we needed a variety of items. They have so many selections of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili sauce, etc. Oh at that sausage I love, they have lots of varieties of tasty sausage. Noodles? Fresh, frozen, dried, they have oodles of noodles. There are plenty of frozen items and what I really like is the fresh market full of vegetables, meat and seafood. Whether you are planning on cooking a meal, need something to eat or take out, United Noodles is sure to have just about anything you need.

Meghann S.

Yelp
I ordered the spicy miso ramen, fried musubi, and my friend got the Tantanmen. The spicy miso was lackluster and overall disappointing, but I had some of the tantanmen and I almost swiped it from my friend (honestly would have if they let me haha!). Good ramen is hard to come by here and that was definitely a hidden gem! The fried masubi was also pretty darn good. Who doesn't love having getting good food and then walking 5 steps to get all your asian grocery store needs?

Terri L.

Yelp
This is the first Asian Grocery store I was able to find in the Twin Cities through recommendations. Just because this was my first Asian Grocery store does not mean it is the best in the city. It's a good place to find most and a good variety of Asian ingredients. United Noodles can be a bit pricey for most of their items but they do have random sales which helps the cost. United Noodles looks like a warehouse and warehouse type of area. There is typically enough parking but it will be busy when they do their special events. A big event that I would highlight from United Noodle is their Autumn Luau where they sell Hawaiian Lunch Plate and do performances. A fun perk that United Noodle does is the stamp card that can be used at both the grocery store and UniDeli. It kind of hard to fill as one stamp is 20 dollars and their is about 20 spots to fill. I would say come to United Noodle as they have most of your needs but know there are other places to go in the Twin Cities.

Sokim V.

Yelp
One of the cleanest & freshest Asian grocery stores I've been to. It's kind of hidden when driving in the dark, located right behind a seafood shop. There's plenty of parking. They have automatic doors - with Covid you won't have to worry about touching the handles to enter or exit. There is a sign for customers to wear a mask, the staff wear them too. Very organized! There are 6ft apart signs on the floor when walking up to the registers. Cashiers are also very kind. I have nothing more to say!

Maggie H.

Yelp
I wanted to shop here since I heard about United Noodles and finally went not long ago. I was very pleased! After eating some apps at Unideli, we began our shopping experience. I couldn't look at the whole store because we got way too excited about the sweets section...but we found everything we needed (and didn't). It's not as big of a place as other asian markets I've been to but their selection was amazing. This place is so clean and not smelly. Easy to navigate and the staff is nice. So many noodles, fresh or dried. So much mochi I had to limit myself to 3 boxes! Sweets that I can't find anywhere else...the list goes on and on. The best part? They just opened up another shop in Woodbury! Close to my work. Can't wait to check them out and continue visiting.

Bella J.

Yelp
My review consists of 2 parts. One for the grocery store and one for the cafeteria. 1. Grocery store: Location: It is quite hard to find the first time around. They have enough parking, never had any issue. Food choice: They have mostly chinese, some japanese and korean goods. They have good selection sweets and cosmetic products. As for frozen food, mostly Chinese goods. I personally prefer Kim's oriental. 2. Cafeteria This cafeteria is inside the grocery store and doesn't have its own yelp business, so its review is mixed up with the review of the store. I stopped here for lunch and I'd recommend it to everyone. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Service is pleasant and takes about 10 mins to get your food. All types of ramen were quite good, soup was a bit too salty but still good.

Anila Y.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best Asian Grocery stores I have been to (including HMart)! It is super neat and organized, and you can find everything pretty easily. They carry things from all around Asia, including a few Indian staple items, which is super convenient for me since there isn't an Indian grocery store close to me. Their produce section is amazing! You can buy bean sprouts and thai basil in bulk so you can get exactly the amount you need. They also have a huge selection of mushrooms, and their Shiitake mushrooms cost about 1/2 as much per pound as they would at the American supermarket. Their baby bok choy is super budget friendly as well! Everything looked super fresh. I left with everything I needed (and more). Pro tip: it might be hard to spot from the street, but it is in a little industrial looking strip. I didn't scope out the parking situation since I took public transit, but it wasn't packed when I went in late afternoon on a Friday!

Stephanie J.

Yelp
I had been in the grocery store and this place smelled amazing, so went back to try it. Unfortunately, it has closed. It is now a tea (including bubble tea) shop. Don't get me wrong-it was good bubble tea, I was just really hoping for some of that amazing smelling ramen!

Cindy D.

Yelp
I love coming here. This place is organized and clean. I love the staff here too. They are knowledgeable of their products. There is a little deli inside the market and that place is awesome! ( Sorry for the short review, will update later). Plenty of parking.

JiJi M.

Yelp
I grew up in cities that had H Mart shopping centers. I recently moved to Minneapolis and was devastated to find that there isn't one nearby. I happened to find this gem through searching for specialty East Asian grocery stores. Many of my favorite brands that I frequently got from H Mart stores are found at United Noodles. I am a student at the University of Minnesota, so the location is incredibly convenient. United Noodles has a wide variety of veggies, frozen dumplings, sauces, and noodles to create great meals.

Kacie B.

Yelp
The best grocery store around. I haven't been to their cafe, yet but I can't wait to try it sometime. It is so organized here and there are bulk grocery items, too.

Will C.

Yelp
2 stars for the deli, 4 stars for the grocery Ordered the Dramen from Unideli, and it was awfully disappointing. Though the bowl is laden with chili oil, sesame oil, roasted sesame, peanuts, and shichimi pepper, once you get paste those immediate flavors you'll realize that the tonkotsu broth itself is actually thin and has zero porky flavor that it's supposed to have. What's also INCREDIBLY disappointing is how that chashu was a 1/3 piece of dry pork belly. I don't think I've ever gotten this little chashu from a bowl of ramen, especially one that's $14. Really annoying/infuriating. Noodles were overcooked. It's not all bad though: the ajitama egg was decently half-cooked and the menma was solid. Service was excellent--the staff was kind enough to wrap up my spam musubi. But way too many holes in this ramen, with the broth and the pitiful amount of chashu as the worst offenders. Inside grocery is excellent. I like the sale of onigiri, ready-made fried rice and yakisoba, as well as the youtiao in the bakery. Aisles are definitely old-school asian market. But that ramen...needs a lot of improvement.

Linda C.

Yelp
The restaurant is permanently closed and replaced by a Mushi drink place. I think it's like bubble tea. Great place to find Asian foods but not much Indian food. The produce section is beautiful! They also have a nice gift section.

Nhilang1234 ..

Yelp
The best Asian market I found so far in Minneapolis! Found exactly I was looking for in terms of variety and selection!

Saksham R.

Yelp
I remember coming here 3 years ago and loving their ramen. It was simple, to the point and a quick great street style while i shopped there. I went back and was disappointed in the quality of the ramen. It was extremely oversalted and not good like i remember it. On the bright side, after the ramen i drank my daily quota of water. Their ramen used to rival good ramen houses around the twin cities. I know that their management changed and so did their food it seems. It was just different, it seemed much more commercialized and not authentic japanese anymore. Won't be going here for ramen again, and that just makes me sad.

Marie T.

Yelp
Made a stop at the Unideli today while grocery shopping and I have nothing bad to say about the ramen I ordered. Rich and brothy and bursting with flavors. A little creamy too. The noodles are cooked perfectly. I am so full now. Lol. I almost couldn't finish my bowl of ramen. You get a huge portion. They also have other items on the menu such as takoyaki and garlic wings. I'll be back to try their takoyaki because I'm a huge fan of Takoyaki. The store itself is clean and presentable. If you are a major Korean ramen fan, then this is the store to go stock up on them. They have a huge selection of Korean ramen from spicy to non. They also carry other various Asian food selections. They also have a vegetable area and deli meat section where you can get pre sliced kbbq short ribs or pork belly. Overall experience is great! Their Maple Wood location runs a little smaller and does not have a deli section, but it also still contains most of the Asian grocery items you need.

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
I adore this place first and foremost. They have Korean Melon Ice-cream Bars and if you haven't tried them- you're missing out. Full honesty. 1. Their ramens are always delicious- however, inconsistent with presentation and quality of their toppings. For the Ugly Delicious people out there it's perfect, for the millennial instagrammed hustling for those likes- 50/50 chance your Bowl ain't pretty, but damn good. 2. Spice levels are WEAK- and they don't have a caddy to jump start the heat. Scandinavian palates...Scandinavian palates everywhere. 3. Pork Belly Buns- 4. Celebrity sighting- I saw Tim McKee...don't know him personally, tried to say "hello!" and accidentally choked on my phglem. Ended up just coughing. Awkward.

Ameay N.

Yelp
United noodle is great for that chilly day where you just want some ramen. Came here during our -10 weather in january and it was exactly what I needed. Got the vegetable bao which was just the right amount of doughy but crunch with the breaded tempeh. Sauce on it was great as well. Get ready to clear your sinuses with the vegetarian tantanmen! it was spicy too but not too spicy and would highly recommend. The noodles were also the perfect amount of doughy but not over cooked. the soy egg was great touch that i had not seen before in ramen. For the vegetarians out there as well the broth can be completely vegetarian as well! Only down side that I wish they were open later!

Dima S.

Yelp
Great Asian store! Absolutely love coming here. They always have nice fresh vegetables and herbs, exotic fruit. Also, they sell chicken feet here which are hard to find at other stores. I use chicken feet to make nice and gelatinous broth. So much better than store bought. Their cabbage is better than the regular cabbage too. I love making cabbage soup with beets. They have nice coconut milk variety, grains, sweets and even a restaurant in the store. Some employees don't speak English but the ones that do offer excellent help. One thing to watch out for is expired produce. A few times, I got produce that was next day or that day expiration date.

Dorothy H.

Yelp
I'm always in search of the best Asian grocery store in the TC area...and this might be it! UN is located in a hidden backroad (kinda, sorta), but it's so worth navigating through the twists and turns. It's a pretty big place! It even has it's own mini-restaurant in there - I'll need to try it one of these days. I've heard super great things about it :) For snacks and sauces, hang a right. For fresh veggies and produce, hang a left. Dumplings and buns are towards the back of the place on the left - another of on my favorite sections. The snack selection is pretty good! I'm able to find the snacks I had as a kid here for decent prices. There are some snacks and drinks that UN doesn't have, so I'll be sure to find a back-up Asian grocery to find those at. But UN is definitely your place for authentic, reasonably priced groceries!

Shannon Y.

Yelp
This used to be one of the only Asian groceries that had food from both my parents' countries and cultures, that was clean and well-organized. I remember going as a child in the 80s, getting to pick out either bulk Japanese crackers or one small candy as my one treat, dad getting his Japanese and Taiwanese ingredients and telling me stories of scarcity of treats when he was a child, then going across the street to Coastal Seafoods. A lot has changed, even from just five years ago or this year. The store has completely reorganized. Instead of by country, culture, or region, ingredients are categorized by noodle or hot sauce, so where before it was easy to find things based on what you were cooking because those items were grouped together, now it requires wandering around confused, asking around to people who have little to no personal experience with the food culture or language and have no idea what you're talking about, to try to find thick black vinegar, tofu skin, a veggie version of bakso, or the ingredients to make mee goreng, beehoon, kenchinjiru, or specific spring roll wrappers. Also, lots more white people as customers, frozen ready made things, desserts, and candy. Lots of young couples and international college students. Fewer families with kids, but could be when I went. Positives: Super lovely selection of very fresh herbs and vegetables. That section is fairly easy to navigate. Mushrooms are fresh and a reasonable price. Vegan kimchi from Yon's! Can't find that anywhere else. Good vegan mock meat selection in the freezer case. Usually I prefer anything else fresh to mock meat and this is actually good to the point where my omnivore friends like it in hotpot and ate it all. Compostable flat packaging instead of styrofoam, though still has plastic wrap. Plenty of palm sugar and coconut milk. Clean. Challenges: Confusing to navigate where things are located. I can't find my hot sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, sambal, tofu skin, Indonesian spices, cold noodle sesame paste, and specific dals. Are they no longer being stocked, out of stock, or just relocated? Some shelves and freezer cases were completely empty the last few times I was there and things were moved around between the last three times I was there. Some things are also significantly more expensive than other Asian groceries, like tofu, gobo, nagaimo, and the fruits. Bigger section dedicated to Japanese bowls, cards, hygiene products, and cooking utensils, which are way out of my price range, but very pretty. Other friends and family have also had similar struggles with trying to find ingredients, to the point where I get phone calls or texts of I've wandered around for ages, where the heck do you find x? I suppose they are catering to what turns over and sells and perhaps I'm not necessarily part of the target market. Maybe they are in a time of big transition. Really struggled between two or three stars.

Yelp
More than n your usual supermarket, right in Minneapolis. Currently their deli area is closed (sob*) but they do have a new bun mi sandwich area. I had to get the Spam Musubi, since Hawaii is too far.

Yelp
Review for Unideli. Haven't tried other food but Overprice for these food at least: $2 for 2 or 3 sips of soy milk $5 for ~4 spoon of pork congee which doesn't have any pork n doesn't taste special at all. I am a small eater but this is really small in my opinion. Not going for second time for these, for sure

Yelp
I love this grocery store. It is not as big as some of the other ones that I have been but definitely is well stocked with the hot items. Not the best place to shop at if you would like to get some very authentic ingredients for thai or vietnamese food but good enough if you don't make those complicated food fron scratch that you need 50 ingredients haha. They have parking onsite but it gets packed sometimes.

Yelp
I live within walking distance of this place, and hadn't been here in awhile- I decided that 100-degree weather would be the perfect opportunity to make the trip again. The masochism was strong. This review is for the grocery store, itself- I've only had chicken wings at Unideli, which are decent, but slightly dry. It can be a little overwhelming trying to find what you are looking for, if you've never been here. Things aren't exactly labeled by country or cuisine, but you get used to finding your way around, and seeing where certain products are located. The assortment of products they carry is immense. You'll find TONS of condiments, rices/noodles, vinegars, spice mixes, seaweeds, snacks, frozen goods, harder to find vegetables and herbs. They now have a grab and go, and to-go section with rice balls and such, and a person who can make you what you would like (separate from Unideli). This is brand new. Sometimes, things go on sale: Last year, I bought bags and bags of frozen dumplings, because most of them were nearly half off- I just kept stocking my freezer with them, because they were so cheap (and they're so easy to steam for a quick and tasty meal). The prices are reasonable, though some things are pricier, while some things are cheaper- It really just depends on what you get. Take a field trip.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after seeing all the drool-worthy pictures of ramen on yelp. However when I actually got there I was craving something cold instead and since they didn't have any sushi (I guess they change their menu pretty often as I didn't see any donburi bowls either), I ended up ordering the summer noodles, which consisted of kale noodles, carrots, snap peas, and bell peppers with ponzu dressing. Also added an order of tea eggs, which I fell in love with when I tried them in Beijing. My friend ordered the miso ramen and some char siu (BBQ pork). Tea eggs tasted like they definitely could have been soaking longer, very mild tea/spices taste. Still worth it for $1/2 eggs. I was kind of skeptical about kale noodles, but I actually really liked my summer noodles. The kale noodles were chewy and the dressing really put everything together well. My friend found the ramen really underwhelming, saying that the broth tasted like the instant kind. I tried some of her noodles and I agreed. Definitely not worth $12, although I admit the bowl was a decent size. The char siu was just alright. Walked around the grocery portion after and was also underwhelmed. I felt that the Asian market at Omaha had a lot more options and it's Nebraska we're talking about. I did like the nice little section they had dedicated to matcha snacks though!

Yelp
I don't know what happened to this place. I've been coming here for years before it became mainstream. Maybe there was a change in management but the ramen quality has seriously dropped. 14 dollars for a watery bowl of ramen is just unacceptable. The recipe has changed for the beloved dramen. It used to have black garlic oil with super soft round pork belly slices oozing with umami flavor. Now it's all different. The broth is missing all the body that it had. I came back the second time around when I noticed they reverted back to the old menu but I was fooled because it's just not the same again. I'm sorry to say that is the last time I'll be back. I'm so sad that the place I loved has become this now.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite food store in the Twin Cities! My partner and I love cooking a variety of Filipino, Vietnamese, and Chinese foods; and this store offers great selections on sauces, vegetables, ingredients, and meats. We've been there now 3 times, and have yet to find an ingredient that we were specifically looking for in the store. It is located in the middle of what appears to be an industrial complex; so keep in mind it's a big hidden. There is a big sign off of the street to show you where the parking lot is, so just look around. Plenty of parking is available once you find the store. There's also a restaurant inside that offers ramen! I have yet to try it, but we are looking forward to trying it. Side recommendation-if you need to also go to get other food at larger grocery store, there is a Cub foods within a half mile away!

Yelp
There is such a large Asian presence in the Twin Cities that I'm surprised that United Noodles is about the best Asian Grocery Store that we can muster. It is mediocre at best. It has been around for at least a couple of decades and has increased in size and variety over the years so I give them credit for their staying power and growth. But a top notch Asian market it is not. If you never leave MN, then coming here might seem like a cultural 4 or 5 star bonanza because it has a decent selection of things that are not mainstream midwest. Especially if your comparative scale is against a small mom and pop grocery store. But all it takes is for one to have been out of state to places like Chicago, IL, Flushing, NY, Westminster or Irvine, CA, Vancouver, Canada, or any other spots where Asians tend to congregate and you will quickly understand that United Noodles as an Asian Grocery is like comparing Holiday Station Stores to Costco. United Noodles can satisfy the basic need for some Asian Grocery staples but it does not compare to places like Ranch 99, H Mart, or Marukai Markets in terms of space, prepared foods, or product variety. Inside there are narrow aisles with canned, imported and frozen items, some that I will admit are tough to come by, especially in the middle of MN. But there is a general lack of employees around that seem to be willing to help answer questions or find things for you as they mostly stay at the check out counters. Their inside Unideli has some Asian made to order simple food such as ramen, SPAM musubi, and the like but the prices are kind of high for the portions and the times I have eaten there have been more along the lines of comforting but not memorable. Couple this with a disastrous excuse for an organized parking lot (made even worse by the stereotypical bad Asian driver!) and this is really not a place that I want to try to navigate regularly so I usually only get here a few times a year when I am desperate for things I can't get elsewhere like rice in bulk or instant noodles other than Top Ramen. I'm certainly glad that United Noodles exists in my community and the Twin Cities is culturally richer because of places like this. But selfishly, I am hopeful that in the future they will up their game and take it to the next level on the Asian Grocery Store scale.

Yelp
I wasn't sure i was in the right place, but i walked in and there she was, the infamous United Noodles! We had a little snack, so shared a ramen bowl, and it was sooo good! I was a little nervous, but it met expectations! Even the weird looking egg, was worth the calories! We also had the pork belly buns and spam musabi! It was. Great mix and selection. I loved that it was casual, and SOO good! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Should've already seen the red flags when the only people waiting in line were White lol Waited 40 minutes for ordering and waiting for food. Ordered the Kimchi ramen and it was BLAND, lacking flavor. Ordered the Pork Bao and it was DECENT, but again not worth the wait. There's better restaurants on University Ave...make the drive the Saint Paul, this place isn't worth it. BLAND, OVERPRICED, LONG WAIT.
