A classy lounge with real attention to detail. The cocktails are expertly crafted — not poured, but composed. The burger is impressively flavorful, and the Conflation - Polaris Star? An unexpected delight. Bold, unique, and surprisingly refined. A must-try — I’ve dined at many places, but this one lingers on the palate and the mind.

Google
Definitely one of the better lounges offered by an American airline. I’d rate it as the second best in LAX behind the Qantas first lounge. Staff were very friendly. A la carte dining was nice. Good ambiance and good showers.

The food quality here is way worse than in the United Club. The watermelon was bad and I had to spit it out. Many rotten blueberries that should not be served to anyone. If my gate is not right next to Polaris club, I would walk back to United Club and enjoy some quality food and friendly service.I also ordered the pancake. It was almost cold and very dry. It tasted like biscuits rather than pancakes.

Google
Nice, mostly quiet place to spend time between flights. Although there are a couple of small rooms with desks that are designed for phone calls, many people just talk on the phone in the lounge. But the lounge isn't busy all the time, so traffic dies down, the place gets quieter. In addition to the food buffet with lots of options, there is a small restaurant with a limited menu. There is also a nice little area designed for napping (limited to one hour, even if there isn't anyone else waiting to use it) with a comfortable futon-like bed, a white noise machine, and some other basics. There is also a place to shower. There are also lots of plugs for charging devices and a variety of different chairs and tables for whatever best suits your needs.

Google
It's located in terminal 7, so a long walk for business class travellers on star alliance International flights. But this also means it is not crowded, with good food and shower facilities. The dine in option was fantastic and there was no wait while I was there at dinner time

Google
Excellent airport lounge experience! Spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating options. Great variety of food and drinks, including a sit-down service area with freshly prepared meals. Clean, well-organized, and a perfect place to relax before a flight.

Google
Really nice lounge. Plenty of seats and clean bathroom. Visited on a Wednesday morning and it had ample room available. Food was okay.

Google
LAX Polaris Lounge was surprisingly decent for breakfast. They don't open up the dining room until 8AM but you can still order off the dining menu before then and they will deliver the food to wherever you're seating in the main seating area. The servers collecting the order were surprisingly cold and not very friendly. Didn't really full explain the setup and let me look at the menu without advising me that it's possible to order without the dining room being open. Overall it's a small lounge but was able to find a few seats but surprisingly busy in the morning. The mushroom quiche was ok but a little cold when it was delivered. Pumpkin bread pudding was pretty good however. They ended up setting up the hot buffet around the 7:45AM time frame with the basics. Cold buffet of pastries, cold cuts, yogurt, etc. was there since I arrived.

Yelp
It's a nice lounge. A good selection of food for breakfast. The bacon is cooked properly. Also, they had fresh smashed avocado as well as the usual range of coffee drinks. Staff is courteous and helpful. It was an enjoyable layover.
google avatar

Irene E.

Yelp
LAX T7 Their guacamole is wonderful, so is the clam chowder. The open lounge is very pleasant and calm for the many hours we're here. Perhaps they're the only lounge that has no time limit, as of now. The agents are very helpful at front desk. UA app can get you in if you forget your credit card. Unlike Amex's Centurion lounge - 3 hour rule, this lounge is lenient in terms when you can check in - our flight is 9 hours away. Last time with Centurion in Buenos Aires, although it was transfer and does NOT fall under the 3-hour rule but the manager there insisted their 3-hr rule. Bathroom stalls, at time, could use some cleaning. No shower. The wine glasses can use some improvement - I know I'm asking a lot -:)

Yelp
Before your flight, take a seat, At Polaris Lounge, the experience is sweet. With spacious rooms and a calm retreat, The food and drinks can't be beat. A restaurant awaits, meals served with grace, Friendly bartenders add charm to the space. From congee to omelets, a perfect bite, Or sip a Bloody Mary, just right for your flight. Showers and restrooms, all private and neat, After a long flight, it's a treat. The buffet's there if you're on the go, But the dining room's where the flavors flow. So if you're flying Polaris, don't miss the chance, This lounge is the perfect pre-flight dance! Quiet and classy, it sets the tone, For your journey ahead, you'll be in the zone!

Yelp
We decided to splurge on business class for our trip to London. The lounge is beautiful and spacious. We ordered food from the restaurant side. The waitress recommended the burger which hit the spot. Everything was amazing!
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
Polaris lounge has a dining area where you can sit down and order just like a restaurant. Fun option! This lounge is located towards gate 70 ish. It's a short walk from security gate. This is also different vs the general United lounge (that one is crowded with more like continental option) They have a shower, restroom, all you can eat buffet and a dinning area. The staff is very nice which makes everything that much better! Thank you Polaris for making my first time experience amazing. Delta has nothing on you haha.
google avatar

Merrill O.

Yelp
Never very crowded and the bartenders are spectacular! Highly recommend stopping in when you're eligible.

Yelp
Great way to start my flight to Madrid! The Polaris Lounge was not crowded, the full service restaurant was quick with the food, service was excellent, spacious lounge -

Yelp
Been here at least a dozen times in 10 years. Elmer is always there and so personable. Drinks and food are spot on and change every two months
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice lounge. Has showers, private restrooms, and a restaurant. You can sit at the bar area and have a cocktail or a latte. The employees are great here. The omelets are tasty as well as the congee. There is also a juice bar and a buffet. Happy Traveling!
google avatar

Vicki D.

Yelp
Love this lounge! You need to eat at the restaurant. We had the best server, Elmer! Food was very good! Restrooms are nice & the quiet room is awesome but you need to reserve it & there are only two. You also can shower but you need to reserve room as well. This lounge is nice! If you're flying Polaris, make sure to use the lounge!
google avatar

Yelp
First time here and didn't know much about this lounge beforehand. My first impression was fantastic! The lounge was spacious and clean. Food and drinks were very good for an airport lounge. You can even order at the small restaurant at the back of the lounge. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a fantastic lounge to visit while you wait to board your flight.
google avatar

Yelp
While United's Polaris inflight service has been downgraded since its introduction, Polaris lounge service offering still maintains the initial concept and provides premium quality. Servers are friendly and polite, and the lounge is kept nice and clean.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a classy place to go right before flights, especially International even have shower suites, fine dining and all you can eat buffet incredible
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
I am not a big fan of airline lounges in the US as they are not managed well, overcrowded and have bad service with terrible food. This one is not so. Only for United Polaris passengers flying to international destinations, the Polaris lounge has great service, great food offerings and best of all excellent Illy coffee. Wish all airline lounges in the US were like this one.
google avatar

Yelp
Handy and spacious United Club in Terminal 7 near gate 70-72. It's not too noisy or crowded and there is always plenty to eat and drink. Staff are very attentive and are always cleaning and stocking. I stop in monthly for work trips, sometimes weekly, if I can get to LAX in enough time before my flight. Lovely view of the airfield.
google avatar

Yelp
Great experience had at the Polaris club before I jetted away to Melbourne! A welcomed stop before a long flight! A nice place to kick back and relax with some food and drinks! Lots of places to relax in the lounge. The restaurant provides a formal sit down meal with a selection of choices. Plus a whole drink menu that consists of cocktails, wine and beer. In addition to the restaurant, if you prefer a more casual seating, you can curl up to the lovely bar. The bartender did a fabulous job at making drinks! Plus there is a buffet with a selection of foods. At nighttime the food ranged from salads to sandwiches. There are also some sweets! If flying overseas, stop into the Polaris club when flying United!
google avatar

Jesus D.

Yelp
Food is always incredible at any Polaris lounge. 2 options are available: buffet and a sit down service. And with the sit down menu, you are able to order any item multiple times. For whatever reason the lounge is not as crowded as SFO. The service was impeccable, before you think of something, they are next to you to ask.
google avatar

Scott Z.

Yelp
The international travel lounge to hang out and refresh prior to making those long overseas jumps. Nice food. Good service. Plenty of snacks and comfy nooks to relax in. Always a nice spot to wait out those really long boarding lines.
google avatar

Bacong F.

Yelp
I took the star of for not having ceramic cups for my latte! Every lounge has real cups and glasses now for beverages...except for United. The food selection was decent but not as fancy as some Delta lounges. It was a pleasant visit before our flight. Decent appetizer, salad, sandwich, wrap, and hot soup/ramen selection. There are plenty of electrical outlets, seats, tables, and comfortable couches.
google avatar

Yvon Meow J S.

Yelp
If you're ever flying united, stop by, because it's quite clean and nice. For those of you premier members, all food and amenities are complementary! Yes, highly recommended. Please come by and relax before your journeys.

Yelp
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Polaris lounge. Good food, nice wine list and our bar server Pablo was very friendly and had a wonderful attitude. I hope to see him next time we fly out of LAX!

Yelp
I've previously enjoyed some very pleasant visits to United Polaris Lounges in San Francisco. However, It's been several years since I last visited one, so I was looking forward to checking out the Los Angeles location for the first time. I was expecting it to be fairly similar to the other Polaris lounges, but it's always interesting to take a look at how each lounge is unique from its counterparts.
google avatar

Doug L.

Yelp
When the Polaris lounge opened at 6:30am I headed over from the Club lounge. I guess I was too early since there was a queue in front of the elevator and we all had to wait until a United staff member enabled it. Check in was completed upstairs. Overall impressions: - a smaller bar (too early for me) - buffet breakfast was all setup (no waiting like the Club) - full service dining area was a nice touch (though the lunch and dinner options looked better) and food was good (egg white omelette a healthier option) - nicer facilities (large showers and individual bathrooms clean and amenity stocked) - less crowded - July 4th hot dog bar (how else to celebrate Independence Day in the airport) - Service was very good. Tips welcomed. However with all the positive impressions, the Polaris lounge just did not give me a wow factor to really elevate the first time experience to five star levels.

Yelp
I've been here twice and also to a number of other lounges at different airports and for other airlines. They can vary widely in size, comfort, food and drink quality, style and service. This Polaris Lounge at LAX is pretty decent. It is not large in a good way - not cavernous or impersonal feeling. It is well appointed and modern in style. While I was there it was quiet and not crowded. We opted to have a sit-down meal in the small dining room with service. Not many lounges that I have been in offer that. The offerings were relatively minimal - a few choices and the food quality was not great, 3*. The quality of buffets at other lounges have been much better. Ambiance and comfort bring this to an overall 4*. I would definitely use it again.
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
I've been to a couple of Polaris lounges and this definitely felt like a smaller lounge. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the buffet area only had cold sandwiches and salad :( to be fair, the lounge was pretty empty. I ended up getting seated at the dining room (no wait!) and had butternut squash soup, cheese plate and mushroom risotto and a glass of Bloody Mary. They were all good, tho the Bloody Mary definitely needed a lot more alcohol
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
We had a few hours to kill, and this was a nice place to hang out. The lounge is a lot smaller than their SF one, but has everything you may need. We tried the a la carte dining with seated service. It was great! Portions aren't big, but that allows you to try different things. Their menu changes, because I saw they had poke before. I would've loved that! We did leave a tip afterwards.
google avatar

Melly T.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning, great food, & friendly staff. Can't complain about anything, everything is on point. I've tried both breakfast and lunch options: omelette and Tuna Poke. They have great cappuccino too. I personally love the large shower suites especially after a long international flight. The suite is furnished with Saks Fifth Avenue towels and and body products from Sunday Riley.
google avatar

Neluta G.

Yelp
Great United lounge they offer a great selection of food and beverages. They even have a small restaurant that will make made to order dishes. The facilities are clean and scattered is very attentive.

Yelp
If you're a United Star Alliance member you know this is an awesome lounge. It's located in terminal 7 between gates 73/75. Look for the large glass sliding door for the checkin counter. You can either use your United points or have at least a business class ticket and above to enter. During covid the entire food buffet is closed as well as the drink bar. They do offers a variety of snacks, coffee, and some bottled drinks that you must order from the bar area. They do have one hot food item available for order at the bar. For breakfast they have breakfast burritos. The main bar is still fully open if you want a cocktail or beer though. Premium liquor still costs extra. Note guests are required to still social distance across the lounge with masks required when not eating/drinking. The private showers and daybeds area is also currently closed during covid. Not sure when they will reopen depending on state regulations. The staff is still super attentive to the guests but as noted not ALL amenities are available during the pandemic if you're burning to get in. It's probably not worth using points until after everything completely reopens.
google avatar

Gracie J.

Yelp
Decent lounge. Food is above average as compared to other lounges. Plenty of seating and a good place to unwind before a flight. Staff very professional and accommodating. LAX is such a hellhole that it's nice to have a lounge like this, if you're lucky enough to be traveling at a tier that grants you entry.
google avatar

Randy B.

Yelp
Extremely limited menu. I suppose it makes sense. Service was good on a very slow Sunday. Ambiance welcoming and quiet. Ranked 3 because the "Polaris Burger" was arguably their flagship meal and it was about as memorable as the dump I took after.
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
As far as airline/airport lounges go in the USA, there's two tiers-- standard domestic lounges/third party lounges that let anyone in with a membership or access via your economy class flight. Then there's the top tier, typically marketed as international-business-class-only lounges. (mechanics behind admission are generally a bit more nuanced) The United Polaris Lounge at LAX is the latter. It's definitely not the nicest international business class lounge out there in the USA, but as far as similar lounges at LAX, it's extremely competitive. I initially criticized the space as it's not nearly as good as the United Polaris Lounges at IAD, EWR, or SFO, but given what United had to work with the end product is pretty good. The dining room (made to order) and the buffet are not yet back to their pre-COVID-19 heyday, but it's a solid work in progress. And you have to love not just the views but the showers-- very welcome after a long flight!

Yelp
More of an informational review as the website really isn't showing the current offering . So happy this lounge is still open especially for a 2h layover . The San Diego lounge was not. Entry was easy and simple . Someone is there behind shield to greet you and ask you to scan boarding pass . The staff tells you eating and drinking is only allowed in the patio - totally understandable during pandemic . The lounge is huge . Lots of large chairs , study areas with plugs (all with dividers), eating area , bar , outdoor patio . Just know that you are asked to only spend 20 Min on patio with your drink and food as space is limited . That's a bit sad especially when you're on a longer layover . Staff was pretty nice . Grateful they are working and trying to adjust like all of us . Bloody Mary was great - we paid $18 to upgrade to top shelf (otherwise drink would be free). You order from bartender . Variety of snacks were also available to request behind the bar (nuts , apples , banana , instant oatmeal , instant ramen ). It was surprising to see the previous food / drink options offered before the pandemic though . Restrooms were clean . Overall a nice experience as it wasn't terrible busy and the bloody Marys were good.

Yelp
United's premium lounge for customers flying long-haul international Polaris or Star Alliance First and Biz. The former is eligible for access at all same-day departure, connecting, and arrival airports, while the latter only has access at the departure airport for their international F/J flight. The lounge is stylish and comfortable, the bar offers an extensive selection of drinks, and the buffet is more than adequate. The main draw of Polaris, however, is its dining room, which offers a rotating menu of made-to-order breakfast and lunch/dinner items. Note of caution when ordering: United tends to emphasize quantity over quality, and the food here is no exception. "Light Bites" and "Small Plates" are entree-sized.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
I used the lounge after arriving from Asia and waiting for my connection. In the early afternoon it was deserted. This used to be the first class lounge before United did away with first class. It's been remodeled, has a full bar, sit down restaurant with limited menu, comfortable seats and plenty of charging stations. Nice quiet oasis. Showers are available.
google avatar

Kartik K.

Yelp
This lounge is at terminal 7 and offers dine in option in addition to buffett only option available at star alliance lounge at terminal B. In addition to being newer and limited to United only customers (way less crowded than star alliance lounge). Polaris lounge also has well laid out bar and meeting rooms and phone booths. When you travel on United everything happening is a welcome change, pls don't compare it with other airlines signature lounge and amenities, but think of what United had before this one :-) and you will feel like you are special amigo. Staff at United lounge is excellent as always. Wifi is ok, but no news papers available in lounge or hangers in the shower. Food menu and wine list is great. You can see the mark of Oscar everywhere, I don't mean Oscar awards or the designer. If you are frequent flier in United, you will know what I mean.
google avatar

Yelp
As far as airport lounges go, the United Polaris lounge at LAX is pretty sweet. Available to guests traveling on international flights out of LAX, the Polaris lounge offers the following amenities: showers, quiet rooms, a bar, buffet, and a small restaurant. We had an early flight out on a Sunday and arrived here around ~9am. We were able to snag a table at the restaurant without waiting and ordered a few breakfast items. I got an omelet and bf ordered the soyrizo breakfast burrito, which I enjoyed more than my omelet. The buffet also offered an assortment of hot foods. I walked around the space a bit after breakfast, and it wasn't too crowded. The lounge isn't that large, but it was a pretty quiet and comfy place to wait before boarding our flight to Singapore. If you are flying business class on an international United flight, I highly recommend getting to LAX early to enjoy this lounge and grab a quick drink or bite to eat before your flight.
google avatar

Yelp
They opened on 1/12/19 here at LAX for Polaris customers and I purposely booked my flight to connect at LAX for my return flight to have an opportunity to check out the latest Polaris Lounge. If you are flying out or just flew in by Polaris class international, you are invited to use this lounge during layover. Smaller than Chicago or San Francisco but large enough to accommodate passengers as LA is not a United hub airport. First meal back to the United States is always a hamburger for me and their dining area offers a pretty good one. I skipped breakfast on the plane to accommodate my appetite to eat here and I am glad I did as I was able to eat dessert too. They have showers and quiet lounge area in the back. After a long flight, shower is truly refreshing and my 15 minutes quick nap helped me feel so much better. They provide pillow, blanket, eye mask and ear plugs for your ultimate comfort. I spent two hours here and it was just long enough to enjoy all the amnesties they offered. A staff checked me in remembered my next destination as I was leaving the lounge. It was just a nice tough to an excellent service I received from everyone I encountered.

Yelp
Most people know how difficult it is to fly those long haul international flights-it's exhausting! Good news, for those lucky enough to be traveling in the business class cabin On long haul international flights,United Airlines has created a nearly perfect Space designed for maximum preflight relaxation. The lounge has everything one would expect from a high end product, there are showers, quiet rooms where one rest , A fabulous bar serving signature cocktails, a buffet area and a small dining room. The showers and quiet rooms are in the back of the lounge and organized by very efficient staff members. There is a time limit for the nap rooms of 45 minutes, which is just about perfect. The dining room serves small bites including dessert, Which was perfect because I wanted to enjoy my meal on board the aircraft. I was lucky enough to have Regina as my server, she was wonderful! Here are a couple of tips for maximum enjoyment of the lounge. First of all, get there early. This way there is plenty of time to enjoy all that the lounge has to offer. The dining room does take some time. This will also alleviate a lot of stress because getting into LAX is always more difficult than we plan for. Next, this lounge is only for the long-haul international flights, so I don't recommend trying to ask about access for those shorter business class flights, they seem to be very strict about enforcing the access policy. Also, I found out there are no guests allowed. Lastly, if you fly on United airlines for the long-haul segment, you will have access at all points, departure and arrival. However, you can access the lounge when flying one of the Star Alliance partners long-haul, but only at the gateway city for departure only. I highly recommend trying this lounge, even if you have to buy a ticket that you weren't planning in order to do so, it is that special.

Yelp
Gifted with Star Alliance Gold status and flying internationally though LAX, my other half and I enjoyed a long layover in the new Polaris Lounge in T7. It's a sleek and sophisticated space with tasteful furnishings which seem to put you at ease. The lounge itself is a long space which is broken up into the main area with couches, seats, and the bar, a smaller seating space with tables for two with windows which look onto the busy T7 central corridor below, and, in the back, the showers, rest suites, and the dining room. With so much time on our hands, we bypassed the lovely buffet and headed to the dining room. The menu was not huge but really quite nice and the roasted artichoke with a very tasty aioli, cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, and spatzle with pork and cherry tomatoes were all quite delicious. Service was friendly and somewhat unrushed - which was just fine by us, but not good for others. Should you order appetizers as well as entrees, it might be wise to allow yourself about 40-45 minutes. Of course, as I've already written, everything about the Polaris Lounge is all a gift. It's hard to fault free!

John K.

Yelp
Better then most airport lounges with a outdoor terrace .food's ok buffet style and full bar.

Yelp
Blissfully peaceful and quiet without all the hullabaloo to be found in the regular United Clubs. The food was excellent and you could have waitress service in the small restaurant. The Polaris Lounge felt exclusive and delivered a true luxury experience!
google avatar

Mango G.

Yelp
Disappointing. I stopped by in the morning before my departure in April, hoping to get a nice breakfast. I found the food selection super limited, and the quality poor. I mean it was pretty bad... I did not see much difference between this lounge and regular United Clubs (except this one has a sit down dining). The only good thing was freshly made Illy cappuccino.
google avatar

Andrew V.

Yelp
Awesome lounge if u have star alliance status or a biz flight. Dining room service and food were top notch. Michelle was a great server and Eddy was a great chef. cocktails were on point. Definitely a great way to relax before our flight.

Yelp
The United Polaris lounge at LAX covers 12,122 square feet that include a main lounge area, bar, dining room, buffet spread, shower suites, and quiet suites. The bar features complimentary drinks that are made to order. There are 12 workspaces, each equipped with a reading light and USB and power outlets. The buffet features a wide range of small bites that are ideal for passengers in a rush. If you can't reserve a spot in the dining room, the buffet is a good alternative. The lounges closes at 11 pm which it super annoying in case you have a flight departing at midnight like the one I was in . I had to leave the lounge and to wait at the gate . There was no available seats as the flight was really full. Felt a little disappointed. Overall, the United Polaris lounge was a great experience. Although the lounge is significantly smaller than SFO, it's well designed to maximize the space available. There are only 5-6 Polaris flights per day out of LAX, compared to the 50+ flights out of SFO. The highlight of the lounge was the super friendly staff that made everyone feel like a VIP. If you have the chance to check out the Polaris lounge, I recommend it.

Yelp
Yes! I do love my experiences on my flight with the United Polaris business class ! The seats were thoughtfully designed to ultimate comfort level ! I loved the personal blankets from Saks Fifth Avenue . Their meals and entertainments were fabulous. Services were wonderful and everything was A plus plus! And their polaris lounge at LAX was so relaxing ! Their buffet was amazing !I loved it ! They also offered all the healthy options from granola to fresh fruits and toppings ! It was such a treat !

Yelp
Wow United! Very impressive. This lounge experience was pretty fabulous. Kind of like a Spa with bar & dining. Meals and drinks are included with your admission. The "downside"is that you need to be flying in Polaris Class to get in. High end complimentary bar. Super comfortable chill spaces, makes bummed out that you have to leave, ever. The hospitality here is over the top with super friendly, kind employees that seem to really care about your experience here. What an awesome privilege to enjoy this lounge. Kudos United, it's as good as if not better than Emirates lounge. Setting a new standard.

Yelp
About time but the United Club here has really been upgraded - so much better! Credit where credit is due, this place is really great - spacious, light, clean and new. The food and drink offerings are soooo much better and there is a big comfortable bar to enjoy. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in LA. It even made up for a two hour flight delay. Good job United!!

Thien N.

Yelp
Great lounge with great food. We were there for an early morning flight and had a terrific breakfast at the sit down restaurant. The lounge is very spacious with plenty of seats.
