I love this space!! Seriously, what a gift to the community! Accessible, free, experienced and coordinated education in sustainability and gardening together as a family and society. I went to a sound bath here recently and you absolutely HAVE to check out the geodome! The people there are passionate, enthusiastic, and clearly committed. Do yourself a favor and link in with your local garden!!

It’s a wonderful place to visit and volunteer. A place to feed your soul and stomach. Nothing is wasted at Unity Gardens.

If I could give Unity Gardens six stars, I would. It is absolutely amazing, both in concept and in execution. Every vegetable that I can imagine wanting to plant was there, well taken care of and growing enthusiastically. Everything was neat and tidy, and the volunteers were happy and friendly and helpful. The idea that anyone can show up at literally anytime and pick vegetables, as many as they want, just blows me away. But I knew about that already. What I didn't expect was how healthy and well-tended everything was. I am disabled, and I really appreciated the barrier-free section. And everything I wanted to pick was growing there! Not just in token amounts, either, but in lush abundance. And every volunteer I met seemed to feel lucky to be there. I did, too!!

Fantastic resources for the community! I love coming here in the summer and picking tomatoes and fresh greens! They have a sharing fridge that is stocked with fresh baked breads and other things. Farmers drop boxes of extra fruits and vegetables all the time! They have a free shelf and closet that you can donate clothes and food to. They have chickens and goats! They also have lots of classes on all types of things! I plan on volunteering my time this summer! I cannot brag enough about this place! The people are incredible and friendly! Side note, if something is posted try to get there asap. It does go fast.

Wonderful people! Doing a great thing to share resources. I look forward to learning more about small plot gardening. This is a peaceful place to bring children to learn more than the latest download!

We have visited the Unity Garden on several occasions when there is a festival going on. Food trucks show up, lots of grilles under tents and vendors. The garden is a pleasant place to visit and enjoy the nicely kept vegetable garden. Take some time, wander around, enjoy nature.

I heard unity gardens had tons of fresh green beans. After making the trip from Niles, arrived to find out they were all gone, and the lady couldn't tell me if they would get more. Disappointed.

Randomly stopped at Unity Gardens headquarters Saturday morning, after vet appts out that way. This was the first time I’ve been there in a few years. Can’t get over how much of a community gem this place is, and how large it is! We went to purchase starters, and also walked out with free mixed lettuce, spinach, and strawberries we used to make a salad. We were so impressed w the staff. The 2 young staff around the gardens were helpful, engaging, and wonderful hosts. They asked if we needed help a few seperate times, gave us scissors and a bag, and we got to explore. They were ready with eager guidance. We overheard them be so patient and engaging w the older folks they encountered, one even asking an older gentlemen what he used to grow and all about his wonderful memories. The young man mowing the lawn was working hard, but took time to shut off the mower and chat w another older man, never rushing or seeming annoyed. Then when done, he started back up again pleasantly. The young lady in store was helpful and showed us the fridge of free produce, and the lists of events they had coming up. She was sweet to a young child who came in, seemingly to be a regular, took her back and got her a plate of snacks that appeared to be watermelon and some such. The same young child was seen outside in the strawbeeries so happy each time she found one, snacking away. While we were there, in the building a lunch and learn was happening. We will defiantly be back to support this amazing place! Thank you Unity Gardens Inc. for all the amazing work you and your staff do for our community!
