Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood is simply a cinematic experience in the Heart of Hollywood. Located in the vibrant and bustling CityWalk Hollywood, Universal Cinema AMC is an exceptional destination for movie lovers. This modern theater combines advanced technology, upscale comfort, and an immersive movie experience, making it a top destination for both locals and tourists. Universal Cinema AMC is equipped with the latest in digital projection and sound technology. Featuring IMAX and Dolby Cinema options, the theater provides viewers with unsurpassed picture and sound quality, ensuring every film is presented in the best possible way. The theater also boasts spacious and comfortable recliner seats, providing an optimal viewing experience that rivals any home theater setup. During our last trip to Universal Studios Hollywood, we visited this theater and watched "Zootopia 2" in Auditorium 10. Although this auditorium featured AMC Signature Recliner seats, they were far more comfortable than the seating in any AMC Dolby or IMAX auditorium I’ve experienced so far. The auditorium was exceptionally clean. The staff here were friendly and helpful. The theater’s spot in CityWalk Hollywood is a huge plus point. With plenty of restaurants, shops, and entertainment around, it’s easy to make a whole night out of it. Grab a bite before the movie or check out the nightlife afterward - there’s something for everyone. We really enjoyed our time at Universal Cinema AMC in CityWalk Hollywood and will be back soon. However, one important thing to keep in mind is the parking cost. We visited Universal Studios Hollywood on a Sunday and ended up paying $40 for parking, which felt really expensive! I’m not sure if the same price applies for Universal CityWalk or the movie theater, so it’s a good idea to check the parking fees before you go.

Some of the best movie experiences I've had have been at this theater. It is truly state of the art. Of course you have the 70mm IMAX screen, the crown jewel. It's massive, it's beautiful. One of the best screens I've ever seen. But the other rooms are excellent as well. 3D movies look incredibly sharp on the projectors here, absolutely mind blowing. Concessions are convenient because it's largely self serve, so there's never a massive line. The whole thing is a little expensive, yes, so I typically recommend this theater for a special occasion or limited run showing. And don't forget to get your parking validated to park for $5!

This was definitely the perfect location to see WICKED: For Good! They had some of the actual outfits worn in the movies as well as a wicked themed Christmas tree out front, which was very cool to see

Unfortunately this was by far the worst AMC experience I have had. First, the staff at the front. She had no greeting or directions. She actually pointed in the wrong direction since she did not say anything and sent us to the wrong theatre. The popcorn was stale and left out. They have it sitting out so you can grab it quickly, but it does not taste good. It did not taste like any typical AMC theaters. The laser IMAX experience (auditorium 17) was blurry from the start. With no other showtimes for 28 Years Later, we had no other choice but to stay. In addition, the screen had issues (see pictures) where the screen was blue in the bottom right corner for the entire film. The seats were in complete disrepair and peeling (see pictures). The recliner function actually did not work at the end and we were unable to put the seats down due to the seat malfunctioning. We will not return to this theatre.

This theater has a stunning presentation, but a shockingly poor audience experience. The lobby and common areas are fantastic—a true movie lover's dream. The design on each floor is incredible, featuring awesome decorations, real costumes, and authentic props from different films. However, once you enter the auditoriums, the quality plummets. We sat in Auditorium 16, Row E, and the condition of the seating was unacceptable. The seats were grimy, peeling, and completely worn out. The contrast between the high-end lobby and the disgusting seats was jarring. I felt absolutely disgusted and wanted a shower immediately after the movie. The seats need a major, urgent upgrade to match the quality of the rest of the venue. In additionThe actual movie presentation was weak. The screen itself lacked color vibrancy and sharp definition, making the film look washed out and dull

70 mm theater room is massive and the screen is incredible to watch movies. The seats may not be great as they are standard flat seats with light cushioning instead of larger recliners so keep that in mind if comfort does matter to you. Volume control is good and no distortion in quality of picture or sound. You pay full price for parking in the general parking area and can get a cash refund when you speak to the customer service desk with your parking receipts at the AMC theater.

This theatre is truly outstanding from the movie screens to cleanliness, especially the staff, everything reflects excellence. The employees here are good, honest, and hardworking people who deserve recognition, especially the usher, Vincent. Last week, I lost a very important ring in the theatre, and Vincent went above and beyond to ensure it was safely returned to the lost and found. I’m deeply grateful for his integrity and kindness. He truly deserves the best.

Big Screen – Big Cinema A beautiful and typically American movie theater. Perfect for watching classic mainstream films. I saw the new Mission: Impossible here and loved the seats — they recline almost completely. High prices, but that’s pretty much the case everywhere nowadays. A great place! I’ll definitely be back.

The theater is fine but I am not a fan of the concessions stand. Most things are self-serve now; they have bags of popcorn, hot dogs and nachos that are grab and go- I wasn't a fan. Who knows how long things have been sitting out under heated lamps. Also I didn't see the gourmet popcorn options available even though they were clearly advertised (there's a huge poster by the register)- customers that were waiting in line were told to grab food items instead of waiting at the register. I was in a hurry to make it to my seat so I just opted for a bag of grab-and-go popcorn. The theater itself is clean (that's a good sign). Seats were comfortable although a bit worn out but the reclining feature worked so I can't complain. Overall it was a positive moviegoing experience!

My brothers and I always enjoy visiting the Universal CityWalk AMC, but during our recent trip we had an issue with our popcorn. We were a little more than halfway through the bucket when we realized the bottom half was burnt. Since we were already seated and the movie had begun, we couldn't go back to exchange it without missing part of the film. After the movie, we requested a refund and were directed to speak with a manager. He arrived after a couple of minutes, but his response was a bit disappointing. He pointed to the bucket and mentioned that popcorn "at this level" couldn't be refunded, and that it was something to know for the future. I explained that we obviously didn't expect burnt popcorn and would've exchanged it sooner if the movie hadn't already started. In the end, we were issued a refund, which I appreciated--I just wish the interaction had felt a bit more understanding. Overall, we still enjoy this AMC and will return. Just hoping for a smoother snack experience next time!

11.26.25 Wednesday Sharese think name who checked tickets upon entrance, around 545pm pst 11.26.25 really friendly and welcoming which gets vibe going. Theatre 9 is smaller cinema but good sounds/seats and clean. Bathrooms were better. Due to above experience bumping up score from 2.0 to 3.0 Thanks Universal 11.25.25 Eternity Theater 6, is fine. The girl who checked tickets, had bad customer service: no greeting, no verbal communication about where the theater is at. They have over 15 theaters, so she pointed her finger in the wrong direction. She would probably be better off cleaning the theater than customer service at ticket check. Theater 6 is fine, the seats are good, it sounds fine. Prior visit See photos. Visit 11.24.25 A big bug by a display in main walkway to cinema. The bathrooms dirty and smelled and toilet clogged. The trash cans full at anyone I went to: smelled. I not sure why these things are not checked and fixed. Maybe manager too busy to manage property? I appreciate yelp because yelp keeps on genuine authentic reviews up universal AMC. They use their attorneys to get Google to remove honest genuine reviews rather than fix the problem. They will spend it on attorneys getting reviews taken away and yelp doesn't do that. Thank you yelp

The overall movie experience was fine, but the concessions setup seriously needs a redesign. For fried foods, you have to order at one counter, take a meal ticket to another to pay, and then head to a third station to finally pick up your food. Popcorn, hot dogs, and nachos aren't any easier--you grab them from a self-service shelf, then take them somewhere else to pay. Drinks are another scavenger hunt: pay in one spot, then wander across a sea of confused guests to find the drink station. Alcohol is limited to the upstairs area where it's purchased and not allowed in auditoriums. Even then, the bartending felt inconsistent--two staff members made noticeably different versions of the same drink, and the team looked like they were mid-cleanup while still serving. As for the IMAX theater, the projector placement is so short and the screen so tall that I felt like I was craning my neck the entire time. The width of the screen also forces you to look left and right more than expected, almost like you're checking traffic before crossing the street!

This location of AMC is clean and managed well. Staff is always friendly. I do wish they would allow alcohol on the bottom floor theaters but other than that it's one of my go to locations. Oh and I also don't appreciate the 30 minute ads before the movie but that's an issue with all AMC locations. Parking is $5 if you show the garage attendant your movie ticket.

Decided to watch HIM on a Sunday night. Movies was 10/10 personally! The atmosphere was not too busy in the amc itself , but obviously you'll walk into some traffic due to horror nights going on at universal studios Hollywood but not a deal breaker This AMC theatre itself has beautiful architecture and it's very updated compared to other theatres.In the restrooms they had famous photos from movies in the 1900 era which one included my favorite photos of Elizabeth Lavenza Restrooms could be better tended, there was some items that weren't available like seat covers and toilet paper everywhere but it's ok it happens maybe it was busy prior Another con is I wish they would advertise more is that YES they have a bar on the second level. However you're unable to bring your drink with you to the actual theatre itself leaving you to have to chug it... Other than that I had a pleasant experience for a date night that was unexpected

Love the theatre... Love the location... This review though is for the popcorn on the day we went. It was SO STALE! I actually had to get back up and ask for them to switch it out. The person at the popcorn didn't even blink and switched it out for me. Even the second batch left a stale taste in my mouth. Clearly this was made earlier in the day or even the day before because I've had fresh popcorn at theaters and I usually end up eating the entire bucket myself. TEST the popcorn before you pay for it.

It's been a minute since I saw a movie here. Back when I worked at Universal Studios I was a regular patron. So I was pleasantly surprised to see the upgrades. Seating is nice with the reclining seats. That's become pretty much standard now. They have different sized theaters depending on how popular the movie is. We went mid day me, my friend, and our kids pretty much had the place to ourselves except for one other couple. The bathrooms were clean and well appointed. There are some seating areas which could provide a nice place to chill if you have some time before your movie. We didn't get food, but my friend did and she was able to get her food quickly. They have popcorn out and ready to be picked up which I'm not sure how I feel about. It feels like it would go stale. This theater is cool because it has some special decor like real costumes from movies showing a the theater. Oh and if you park there you can go to the front desk to get $5 parking from showing your ticket.

I hadn't been to the movies in YEARS. I usually don't like to haha. But I decided to come with a friend to watch the 10 year anniversary of Hamilton. The staff was friendly, and the location was clean, as was the bathrooms. The only thing was that the chairs were like super worn down, where the leather was poking me in some areas. Other than that, it's recliner seats and cozy (aside from the poking lol).

Welcome to Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk at Universal CityWalk Hollywood... make your way over via car, tram (runs until 9pm in the winter and spring and usually until 11pm in the summer and fall), rideshare (pick up/drop off near Buca di Beppo and the parking) or your own to feet. Grab a treat at the theater or even before via all CityWalk offerings. And then make your way in with your AMC open and those handpicked seats or go the classic route by purchasing from the ticket stands on your right (when you first walk in those classy glass doors - grab a print of your stubs and hope in the line. They'll scan you in and let you know where to go. Concession directly ahead... #LetsAllGoToTheLobbyAndGrabOurselvesASnack - tons of self serve fun including those amazing Coca-Freestyle beverage machines, popcorn pickup, candy, savory treats, and other miscellaneous movie going goodies. If you have balcony seating you'll absolutely be upstairs where you can also find the Director's Lounge (their equivalent of their MacGuffins Bar), but cooler and more open. It's 21+ over area surrounded by a few of the popular theaters, including IMAX 19. There's lounge areas outside the bar with cool displays of costumes, props, scripts and more from movies both present and past. I typically avoid IMAX for comfortability reasons, being over 6ft and seating in those way to close together seats with the narrow isles is not for me. I do frequent their PRIME theater and lots of the smaller ones on the main floor especially for the Artisan and Indie film goer experience. The seats are usually great in most theaters, occasionally you get a seat that doesn't fully recline or may just need some service, but since people don't actually tell anyone it can take a little longer - I try my best to let someone know if I see it or experience it. Quality of pictures and sound is often great. Plenty of previews/trailer before hand (maybe too many for certain films) and let's not forget the Nicole (Kidman) of it all! Love this quality AMC and it's one of a kind design, layout and offerings. You can find restrooms on either side of the theater below and in the far back corners upstairs. Escalators and staircases are side by side to take you up to the the top as well as back down. The elevators are to the left just past the ticket scanner/taker and directly behind concessions. I've seen quite a bit here, probably in all 19 theaters over the years including The Thunderbolts, Wolfman, Wicked, Anora, Y2K, TRAP, Borderlands (once was more than plenty), and what was supposed to be Thelma, but was changed to a different showtime with no marquee/digital display - one of the oddest things to walk in to see June Squibb and it be the film Daddio with Dakota Johnson. Recently a friend had his show time changed at the last minute, but this was updated and reflected in advanced (though shouldn't have been an issue at all) where as for us we were still directed to the same theater without a proper update... This one at Universal is still a prefered favorite and one I recommend. They are constantly working to make this a top notch AMC among the many in Greater Los Angeles and the many in the San Fernando Valley alone (eight). General parking is $10 after 5 PM ($35 before) and $5 for movies with your ticket. They have a variety of rate including Valet is only $10 to $15 with validation for CityWalk - visit the Directions and Parking section for Universal Studios and Universal CityWalk for more info and of course... Enjoy your show!

During Memorial Day weekend earlier this year, I stopped in Hollywood on my way to the Bay Area to see the IMAX 70mm cut of Sinners. Here's what stood out: Diamonds: - CityWalk location (easy to navigate) - Convenient and validated parking on site - Efficient check-in process at the movie theater - Mini film exhibit/costume gallery inside the theater - Overall temperature & comfort of the theater Coal: - Premade buckets of popcorn in the concession area - Long checkout lines w/only 2 cashiers for concessions - Uncomfortable seats in the IMAX theater Additionally, the person sitting in front of me kept checking their email and text messages every 10-15 minutes throughout the movie. While I was utterly baffled by this lack of emotional intelligence that constantly disrupted my deep immersion in the film, I don't fault Universal Cinema AMC. Overall, a good experience. I would return again for other special film releases in the future.

Watching a movie here at city walk is always a good experience. Prices are outrages at movie theaters nowadays. Sneak in a snack or two is a must. Wish they had more promotions to encourage more movie goers. It's a fun time to spend with your family or friends! Trying to Stay out of the heat, great option to spend a couples hours relaxing and enjoying a great cinematic movie!

I LOVE the very comfy reclining/vibrating seats with heat!! I'm always cold in the theatres and these warming seats are perfect! Give yourself time as the parking structure is the same as Universal studios, $10 for general parking, redemption for $5 at the ticket counter. Be prepared to spend a fair amount of money on snacks if you come hungry. They have hot dogs, chicken tenders, sliders, etc. the layout is nice inside, nice a roomy and not crowded when we came. Snow White themed souvenir cups are available for purchase. Lots of stores & restaurants to stop after, really fun place to come, will definitely come again!

The Prime theater is officially my favorite theater in this place. I love the reclining chairs with the heaters and the rumbling vibrations and sound. I got a large drink which was 50¢ less because I have an AMC membership. The person that checked our tickets was very friendly and so was the cashier when I got my drink. All a good movie night. My kids got popcorn and that was also delicious. What a great time! We saw the new Captain America movie. I really liked it!

I was seated in the back balcony row J 10+11 of theatre 14. From there, you cannot see the bottom of the screen as an average height adult. For reference, I am 5'7" and had to scoot forward awkwardly on my seat to read subtitles on Thunderbolts*. On the other hand, the balcony is nice because, while you can only see part of the screen, you also can't see anyone below you. That means no glaring phone screens or people standing up in the middle of the movie! The seat next to us was badly broken (pictured). It's a good thing no one reserved it! It was definitely available to pick on the app. The balcony also smelled mildew-y. The sound was too loud for the size of the room. Once the movie was over, I visited the bathroom upstairs and it was absolutely filthy. No toilet paper, water (I hope!) on the floor, and faucets that don't work. Overall, this was a bad theatre experience. Parking at Universal is only $5 if you have movie tickets.

We purchased our tickets through Fandango for a date night. We should have known better. HHN was taking place and parking was crazy. Also have to pay for parking (which you could get reimbursed at the box office); however- it still adds up to where you pay $5 to park. We were excited to get some drinks before our movie until we were told that we could only take our drinks in if we were in the balcony area of the movie theater.... Well that's a bummer- we had to chug our drinks like we were at a frat party about to hit up the next spot which was a shame because the bartender made our cadillac margaritas so well. We got popcorn and got yelled at by the staff for moving a popcorn over to grab another. The theater itself was roomy but you can see that the seats were a little run down. Would I come here again? I'm not sure... they did have the black phone 2 costumes which was cool but having to pay for parking, look for parking, no alcoholic beverages unless in the balcony made it a doozy.

Great experience, went to see the Cunjuring with my friends! The place was clean and nice, staff were kind and nice! The only thing is that the chairs were bit old. We took the regular ticket but still the chairs need to be replaced. Except that, everything was great!

By far the worst experience at the bar I've ever had in a movie theatre and I love amc. It was a slow night and I love checking out theatre bars so this was embarrassing for me as I hyped this specific bar up for someone. There was two bartenders last night on a Saturday, finally a 3rd one joined and even that didn't help the pace. Because we noticed they were clearly behind (even tho it wasn't that busy) we decided on just getting Coronas instead of cocktails for faster service. We waited well over 10 min to be acknowledged and when she finally made eye contact with us, she turned her back and blatantly ignored us. I had to physically lean over the counter and loudly say "Hello excuse me miss! I'm right here you saw me , can you please take my order all we want are beers" She said ok and walked away and began to make other drinks while the beers we ordered were just in the fridge behind her so I'm not sure why she even walked away when she could've turned around and given us those beers in 12 seconds. I used to bartend so I can't sympathize with these "bartenders". guy with the stretched ears was moving slow like molasses, You can see everyone that was WAITING for their drink to be made was frustrated &making faces & confused. Finally once the third bartender joined he asked us again what we had and then finally brought us our two beers. My dude ordered a second beer and again we waited to be charged for it and no one ever made eye contact or would turn when we'd call so we just left because we were already running late to the movie due to the drinks being so dam slow and to be honest I doubt they even remembered to ring that beer up. I'm not sure if everyone was having a bad day or if they weren't set up for success that night but it's a weekend and it's Universal city walk "the capitol of entertainment" this was beyond disappointing. I'll never recommend this bar to anyone not will I bother trying to get a drink there again if that's how they treat their customers or run their business. I've had plenty nice experiences at the amc bar in Burbank so maybe these bartenders need to be trained by them.

Update recent trip 10-24-25 I have AMC Stubbs Pass so I get 4 movies a week for 28$ish a month. Otherwise I couldn't go this much, if I had pay regular price I could go 1-2 a month based on my income. Sure I go other AMC locations, some, but so far this is most convenient for me and employees are excellent. On 10-24-25 I got a coffee and the lady working there was fantastic. I've attached the receipt because it doesn't have the name, but it has a cashier number and all the information. She was super friendly, personable, helpful suggestive sold. A gem of employee. Thanks! AMC in conjunction with Universal has a fantastic Van Helsing costume exhibit! Well one of my favorite group of Dracula Brides! No cost if there for movie. Awesome to see stuff like this at the other AMC's people definitely click to this stuff and I get some interested to come just to check this out. Get AMC movie pass pays for itself in movie or two! Get 4 movies week for insert 30$ month. I've had plenty of good movies and experiences with my AMC STUBBS A list pass. Yet today what really made for a great visit was espresso drink. I was up very early was a long day so I thought I'd treat myself to a coffee at the concessions while watching a movie. Prior visit. I've had so many different coffees usually the same ones, but by different places at different locations and this has to be one of the best cappuccinos I've had anywhere! Thanks to Koushik, he made me the perfect cappuccino that had just the right amount of foam. I tend to like my cappuccino strong with good dry foam. Koushik made it perfectly without me even having to say how I liked it. Wow great service. So good I treated myself to a second one since I caught a two movies! Thanks! Yes movies good too! Prior experience: Excellent customer service by EmmaJo and Lauren: which why come to this AMC location: employees make difference. Overall a AMC location inside Universal that offers enough movie options. I walk up so not sure on parking. Interesting movie paraphernalia! Fun to see costumes, props. Yet I go back to places where customer service is good: thanks! I hope good employees get recognition/reviews/incentives/raises when merited. Good food court! Thanks

Old popcorn and AMC has de died to tell people that the movie showtime is a certain time for example 6:40 pm but what they put in very small print that there is 25-30 mins of ads that play so your movie does not start until 7:10. So if your good with watching ads and commercials for 30 mins prior to your movie time then please go to AMC. I prefer not, don't think I will be back to this theater not any on my home state. This is ridiculous!

The theater is nice and spacious. The reclining chairs are comfortable and the sound was great. Obviously, what sets this Theater apart is the prime location. It's a perfect outing with so many restaurants and shops in City Walk. Parking- structure parking for $20 but you get reimbursed/rebated when you buy movie tickets. They have a full bar and multiple concession stands with the usual popcorn, fountain drinks, candy, etc. Con- No matinee prices for newer films Pro- Updated movie screens Tuesdays $5 with stub card

Interstellar IMAX 70mm brought me to this location (finally) - I had been wanting to check it out but the thought of what I assumed would be parking hell always deterred me. Alas, I was SO GLAD I did because it was such a standout experience. Yes, you go through the same line as Universal Studios visitors, but their parking operations system makes it flow smoothly. You're charged $35 up front, but at the theater you get a cash redemption for $30, and even with the line after the movie, I was shocked how quickly it moved and how efficient the staff was. There is no time limit, so I also loved being able to shop CityWalk afterwards with no time pressure. The IMAX theater really took my breath away. And I LOVE their concessions situation- you help yourself to the food and get charged at the cashiers (and get your drinks and and candy there). I'm a sucker for efficiency so this was a perk (and my hotdog and popcorn still tasted fresh), as well how friendly the attendants all were. Looking forward to my next visit.

Was able to visit AMC CityWalk, first time here. The CityWalk itself looks great with lot of merch, ads, and colorful signs. The theater itself is also probably the nicest AMC I've been to. Good staff, and the seating in the Prime auditorium were comfortable. I don't live in the area but if I have time for a movie, this is where I'd go.

The interior looks really cool with the decor, lighting, and seating. They have some outfits from characters from various movies. That being said, the movie recliners are quite beaten up. There was one that was broken so it can't recliner at all. And one of the stalls didn't have any toilet paper at all. Such a shame cause this theater looks well in the lobby.

okayyyyyyyy , I'm going to rate this based on my personal experiences and preferences . That being said anyone who disagree's should go walk in the exact footsteps I did that day and recreate it for your own different opinion . LOL I actually prefer the universal cinema just off the strength of the 70mm Imax experience . I went to go see sinners recently and I was absolutely blown away . By the time you read this post , the movie will have been seen three times in the same theater , in the relatively the same seats . Reddit said that Christopher Nolan ( who was thanked in the movie at the end where the credits are ) uses it as a screening room . The layout is well lit and organized . It's just adjacent to everything so wether you see a movie in the middle of the day or see a movie at night there is some wiggle room to explore all the shops while they are still open . I'm just saying , if you plan for a date and get stood up , at-least theres something to do . In all seriousness everything is well labeled , straight forward and fun . IF you want a thermal ticket like myself , you must go to the kiosk and ask for it to be printed . After it has been scanned it will not reprint a thermal ticket . Get your rebate at the counter with the human being who is available BEFORE you go sit down . If you come on an opening night I can gurantee you it will be a mess lol Well folks , that's all I got for now . Until next type ??? hahahahah

Completely ridiculous that you can't bring in a non-alcoholic drink that you bought *across the way* within citywalk. the guy who informed us of this policy was super rude about it too Edit to add: they let in multiple people with outside water bottles after us, so clearly this policy is inconsistently enforced

I do enjoy this location. It's always clean, and the staff members are always very helpful. The food court area is amazing, and you can get your drinks and snacks pretty quickly. I have had a couple of situations... 1. My Recliner didn't recline. 2. My Pime seat didn't work. 3. Someone was in my seat. 4. The person sitting next to my spilled their soda in my seat before I arrived. All of which were easily fixed. Other seats were available right next to mine. Luckily, I tend to go to the early movies in the morning, and usually, there are only 5 or 6 others and myself, so I'm not stuck with a crudy view. - PRO TIP - RE: Parking If you are an A-List member, they send you an email confirmation with your ticket info. If you scroll almost all the way to the bottom, you will see a parking barcode, which they will scan when paying for parking, and that will reduce your parking cost to $5. I don't know why it doesn't generate one in the app with your ticket, but it will be in your email. It might work the same way when buying through AMC in general, but I am not sure. Fandango and others might not offer this. I was told AMC will refund a portion of the parking costs when paying in full for parking, but you do have to wait in a line, and it does take a bit of time. Love this theater! The seats are always really comfortable and this is the only IMAX in LA (at least with the AMC chain that's truly an IMAX theater! The sound and picture quality is top notch and amazing but the seats for the IMAX are so close together, it makes walking through difficult if you need to leave during the movie! I love the lobby here and the costume displays are fun to look at while waiting for the film to start. The theater for the most part is clean. I wish parking was fully validated but I usually just street park and walk up the hill or take the tram!

Really surprised by how nice this theatre was. Came here for a premiere and wasn't expecting anything fancy. However, the theatres were super nice inside with comfortable chairs that also reclined. Super pleasant surprise! Food was decent. Good for theatre food. Good restaurants around City Walk if you want to get a bite to eat before or after. Parking is where it's a big miss. If you want to park at City Walk, it's $35 for regular parking - definitely not any price I would pay for a regular showing. Not sure if City Walk still offers a discounted rate after 4pm - if they do, might make it more worth it. Overall, if you're going to see a movie here, definitely a better viewing experience than I was expecting.

$63 for two tickets - ahhh!!!! From a girl who used to wait in line all day in a costume for midnight showings, to a woman who actively avoids the movie theater - I went to the movies. I've been to this AMC a few times. They have fun movie memorabilia, photo ops, and IMAX so that always makes it unique. There's also a bar woop woop. It's a walk from the parking structure so build in time. Convenient to make it a full date night if you want to do dinner and a movie at City Walk. They do validate for discount parking but we saw a super late showing so the parking was just open so we didn't pay anything. But omg I was so over stimulated - the stickiness, the sounds of snacks, the chaos of people constantly moving, walking around, and SO much talking. There was a lot going on. Loved the movie, hated the experience. My bf is the one who wanted to go to the theater and it was so hard to enjoy it with all the distractions, he left saying "please let's never go to the movies again." Copy that.

Went to an employee screening of Wicked: For Good in auditorium 10 and the sound kept cutting out during the film. I went to talk to the guest services and they said they'd rewind it by 10 mins and they lied. They sent a supervisor to watch but the few mins he stood in the aisle didn't have any audio issues. Unfortunately, the ending also had an audio cut out and the picture was unsynced. I went back to talk to guest services and they conveniently weren't available anymore. I was then told they could do nothing about reimbursement or anything. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

I think they recently renovated this theater since I believe they all have recliner seats now which is great. It also feels cleaner than some other AMCs. If you see a movie here you only have to pay $5 for parking which is awesome compared to the normal $35.

Parking is a total pain in the ass. You pay $35 and then have to go to the box office (even if you pre ordered a movie ticket) to get $30 back. It's 2025. FIX IT. Also...25 minutes of previews?!?!? I realize this has been happening at theaters for ages now, but it was 10 min, then 15...now 25? How much begging do you need to do?!?

If I didn't want to see Sinners in 70mm I'd NEVER, come here. From the terrible fast lane food that's often stale and never fresh (and there refusal to make fresh products) to the management wanting to argue with you about a refund for food (popcorn was clearly hours old) that you won't eat to the stick floors and dirty feel as you sit and watch your movie. The movie experience is one I cherish, as I've been an AMC A-list member for over 5 years. AMC usually has pretty good standards but this theater is terrible and needs a complete overhaul, from updated facilities to retraining staff on customer service. For lack of a better this place flat out sucks. If I could give minus or negative stars I would. I'll stick to my usual movie theater and I hope in the future AMC puts movies in 70mm or other IMAX exclusives in other locations.

We come here for when we want to see a movie on IMAX. The theater is really nice and comfortable. But you do have to contend with a lengthy walk from the parking garage and the usual crowds at Universal..

Love this place. The staff is friendly. Great place to see a movie. Parking only $5 when you go to a movie. This gives you a chance to also dine.

i will always travel here to see a film in 70mm! i'm not super far from it, but i don't have a car so it takes me 2 hrs on the bus and it's so so worth it! incredibly friendly and social staff and very clean auditoriums. the only annoying thing about the imax theater is that the seats are very close together so i often get my seat kicked. also, this is the only AMC i've been to where they actually dim the lights when nicole kidman says it and i love it so much!!!!!

We just visited this theater to see Mickey 17. Expectations were high from the website and being on the city walk. Ticket purchase was easy online and the theater had some movie costumes which was pretty cool. Lots of food options but we found them to be mediocre and overpriced. Theater was super outdated. Recliners were nice but there are no tables so you have to hold all your food stuff. Sound system was super loud and not great quality. Expected something better I guess right outside a movie lot. Would not go back if there were other options.

Played age inappropriate previews at a movie for little kids. My daughter was so scared she was balling and ran out of the theater in fear before the movie started. Then they refused to refund my ticket. Also, the screen is also small for an iMax. You would expect a good one for the universal studio's amc theater.

Only amazing because I got helped by Lauren and jocelyn so generous and kind and two baddies, no complaints

Worst theater ever!!! How do you work at a stand at not know what the combos are? How do you charge more than luxury theater and not have the so called food served to your movie viewers? The hallway leading to our screen smelled like urine. If I could give no stars I would.

I recently went to the opening night viewing of Lilo & Stitch with a few friends, unfortunately the theater was 100% full to capacity, with about 90% of those being some middle school from Venice and you can imagine the chaos that ensued. Nonstop yelling, talking, walking around, clapping from the students. The teacher tried his best to control his out-of-control students, but he could do very little, the worst part were the handful of equally uncivilized parents who did little to nothing to control their own horrible teens. What's also concerning, and outright irresponsible, was that AMC management failed to reserve a whole theater just for them, being fully aware of how teenagers and irresponsible parents behave. As for the rest of the theater, the concession stands are usually dirty, they have prefilled buckets of stale popcorn, butter and soft drink dispensers that usually don't work, overfilled trash cans, and equally smelly and disheveled bathrooms. The weird thing of having such a run down theater is that most of the employees are actually courteous and decent. It's disheartening, but kind of obvious why all of Citywalk has been on a downward spiral: shops are closing all over the place. You have employees and security guards who really do make an effort to maintain and keep a safe and decent experience for tourists, but basically, the clientele is awfully GHETTO. Most people just don't know how to behave in public, and to make matters worse is that parents simply fail to properly raise their kids.

I lost one of my rings at prime and I told one of of the employees to check the seat BUTT!!! They told me to check ( which I done already They expect me to look in my seat And now I can't get my fucking ring back

I've had enough of this theater & decided to downgrade them from a two to a one star! On one visit, my wife & I ordered our food online so we could have our food before our movie started...& the express line was closed, so we had to settle for stale popcorn & microwaved food (or else leave our movie & come back!) Plus, the bar was closed, which was the only reason we chose this theater (aside from the fact we visited the park) & that was a real letdown for us. Then, on a second visit at the insistence of a friend, they claimed to be taking part on a special promotion on the AMC website...but when we arrived they said they weren't! Talk about "bait & switch"... This is the second AMC theater I have given a bad review to, so I'm not sure what has happened but their locations are really going downhill!

This place was very confusing when I was trying to leave they do not have any ADA, accessible exits, clearly marked. I approached the door with no switch that was in operable. I had to stand in the doorway and have somebody open the door for me in order for me to exit the building I wish their signage was clearer Letting me know where I could exit by pressing a button and where I would have to wait for somebody to come up and open the door for me

I enjoyed myself. Refills on popcorn and drinks! Can't beat that! Also plenty of other things to do at City Walk. Parking is $30 but you get a rebate at the movies.
