Epic Universe Offers Unique Theme Park Food and Drinks | Bon Appétit

"Opened as the first major U.S. theme park in decades, this destination treats food as part of the immersive storytelling: menus are playful and brightly colored but genuinely well executed, trading standard hot dogs and cotton candy for inventive ingredients like saffron labneh, coconut nectar and mango bread. The park is composed of five distinct lands (including a dark-monster wing, a Harry Potter–adjacent Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, and a Celestial Park hub), and offers 25 food-and-drink outlets—enough to eat three full meals—so dining feels like another reason to visit. Some popular venues require advance booking, and overall the food balances whimsical presentation (black-bunned burgers, bubbling green mocktails, glitter-topped cones) with surprising flavor and fresh ingredients, turning classic theme-park indulgence into transportive, culinary storytelling." - ByAnnemarie Dooling

We decided to visit this park despite the bad reviews and low ratings hoping it couldn’t be that bad. Unfortunately, it was as bad as expected. Everything about this place feels designed to make your experience as frustrating as possible to make sure you spend as much as possible. After reading the reviews, we concluded we needed to pay the extra for the $320 per person Express Pass, thinking it would save us from endless lines hoping we could do the park in one day. The system is set up so that you still wait with everyone else to enter closed worlds like Super Mario and can only use your pass once you reach the attraction. You still end up wasting time in line even after paying a small fortune. To make matters worse, the pass doesn’t even cover all the rides. They advertise they open at 10, but the gates actually open at 9, meaning by the time you arrive “on time,” it’s already packed. To be fair, a few things worked well: the mobile meal ordering system, facial-recognition lockers, and the Express Pass itself (when it applies). With the pass, we managed to do all the major rides before dinner. And yes, the park does look beautiful at night with all the lights. Still, despite the outrageous pricing and the chaotic crowd management, this park was fun. At the end of the day, my son summed it up perfectly, the other parks felt superior, not just for the rides, but because we never needed an Express Pass to enjoy them all these years.

Well done!!! This is quite the adventure. Extremely well laid out and easy to navigate. We stayed at a resort so we got early admission and took the 1st shuttle over. We got in easily enough and started at the back and worked our way around. We didn't have an express pass but most rides are designed to keep you captivated while waiting. All the lines seemed to move relatively quickly and the park seemed less chaotic than the other Universal parks. Each universe is like stepping into the environment completely. I was captivated immediately. Super Mario seemed the most congested but my personal favorite was Darkmoor. I was absolutely taken aback by the detail. Pro tip* even if you are in a group taking the single rider lane gets you on quicker but you won't sit together. So if you're a frugal ride junky go for the single rider lane.

The park visually was very cool. Especially at night. But the different "worlds" seemed crammed and small. The lines were ridiculously long in comparison to universal studios/islands of adventure. There's no way you'd get to do more that 3 or 4 rides without the express pass. Which was more than we paid for our admission ticket. But without it, there's no way you'd be able to get everything in. Which was disappointing considering how small it is in comparison to the other parks. If your kids are under 40 inches tall, there's not much for them to do or go on to begin with, but even the kids rides they did have available were either closed for the day or down. Leaving the yoshi ride with a 3 hour wait most of the day. While we were there, we stood in line for about 30 minutes with the express pass to not even get on frankenstein (it broke). Which I guess its down a lot. Had about a 45 minute wait for the werewolf ride even with the express pass. Its a new park, so cool to have a new experience, new rides, new environments. The visuals were amazing. Especially in the Harry Potter area. But definitely think it was underwhelming for the price and really wish we had used our second day in the universal parks at islands of adventure/universal studios.

Google
The Harry Potter ride and the magic ministry ride thing is ok, it's good, but we waited 3 hours and it was definitely not worth it. The most I'd wait for it would be 1.5 hours. Stardust racers was amazing, short wait, we did it twice, waited 35 min the first time and 20 the second one. Both shows were amazing, the how to train your dragon and the HP one. Everything was well managed. The lockers are amazing and well thought/built. Food was good everywhere. And a lot of the rides have shade/water. The only reason is not a 5 star it's because it's a bit small.

If you are going purchase tickets ahead of time and look up if they have fast pass availability for the day you are going. When we went they were out of any fast passes for the day and 2 weeks farther out. Being the park was opened in May and we went in October, the wait on some rides were ridiculously long. We went when the park opened and left when they closed it down and didn't get to visit everything thr way we wanted to due to being stuck in long lines all day. Nintendo part is cool but would have been better if the rides I went on actually worked so I could get my points for the games that go with thr Bands we bought to be able to get special points and things. Punching coin boxes was so much fun. Harry potter side with the ride was amazing. The line was 170 mins when we got it and that sucked, but the line for the ride once you are able to really enter is so amazing. There is so much detail and stuff packed into the waiting line it was almost better than the ride. I will say the ride was kind of Jerky. The wand store is small but they have different wands and an exclusive wands there. We didn't really get to visit the how to train your dragon part. We did visit the Monster side but the one ride in the Castle was broke down all day which was upsetting and the werewolf one my family had a great time on. Would love to go back at a different time of the year to check it all out better.

My husband and I were very impressed with this new park from Universal. The level of detail and design is extraordinary in each individual world. The Mario world is quite magical. Unfortunately, the Stardust Racers ride was closed when I went due to recent events...but it opened towards the end of the day. By the time we were ready to try the ride, it had a 3 hour wait so we had to skip it. They only have about 11 attractions at the time (and half of them are for young kids/toddlers) but I hope they will expand in the future. The free lockers at certain rides were very helpful and easily fit a sling bag (I wouldn't bring a stuffed backpack unless you rent a larger locker for the day). I was quite disappointed by the weather delays at Minecart Madness as the status did not change all day long. We also had about a half hour delay at the Harry Potter ride while we were in line. Try to go on a day with no rain or expect delays while the park is new and bring ponchos. Certain hotels give people early access at 9am to the rides (you need to show your keycard), but we were able to at least get inside the park early and wait in front of the "portals" to start getting in lines at 10am once they let us through. Truly a great experience, just remember Florida weather can be tropical so be prepared.

My family and I visited this park for the first time. From the moment we arrived, we were very impressed. It was quite organized and clean. It has tons of shops and places to eat. All the roller coasters were fun despite the long wait. Good food and excellent shops. Our favorite portal was Mario's. We had a great time. We can't wait to go back to this park again.

Google
Wow! Epic Universe is absolutely amazing! I was smiling from ear to ear just about the entire time - except of course when approaching a line that stated 90 minute wait times. I'll get to that soon. The night before going, given that we were planning on going on a Friday, I got anxious about planning the day and started flipping through the reviews. My heart sake from reading the terrible reviews about crowds and wait times. I expected the day to be a bust - going from ride to ride, seeing a 200 minute wait time, and moving on to the next ride to see the same thing. To my pleasant surprise, the wait times were not terrible and the crowd was probably 5/10 capacity. The four main areas of the parks were incredibly detailed and we enjoyed every minute of it. You have to go with the attitude of the experience and not worry so much about the lines; but a tip for you, our family did single rider lines on every major attraction and we never waited over 50 minutes - so DO THAT! Who cares if you sit next to each other, 90% of the time, you are focused on the ride and experience and you shouldn't worry about looking over at your partner or family to smile or scream in each other's faces. The food was great and the park was a joy! Of course, the tickets and food is expensive, but well worth it!

Yelp
The food was amazing at toad cafe and you should bring your children and Mario land is the second best

Yelp
Epic Universe is just that, EPIC! This new theme park is absolutely magical! The theming and design that went into each universe is actually mind blowing. You are literally transported into each place and it is everything. The attractions are so much fun, obviously some more than others. There are a few rides that aren't worth waiting an extended period of time, but majority of them are worth the wait and the queues keep you entertained most of the way. Be prepared for A LOT of walking though. Each park is quite a ways from the other and everything is spaced out accordingly. The food options are plenty and once again they've hit it out of the park with the theming. This is an absolute must do park in Orlando! I can't wait to see the other universes that will be added later on.

Yelp
Good time to arrive is around 8:30-9. Doors do open early but the rides take some time. You can go in to explore Harry Potter or maybe Mario. Virtually no shade so do bring a hat (umbrella okay too but didn't see anyone). Lots of families and kids. Honestly, if you don't care too much, come after 5 and the lines are half the wait. Security and line was fast too, 12 hours was plenty of time to do everything twice if you are a sight person ( or all the rides with some time to spare). Theres not too many attractions but you can walk around and buying wands/power up bands will bring you a lot more things to do. Food wise the mac and cheese cone is overrated. The mac part of it just isnt like a nice string pull cheese enough and a bit sour/mush. The toppings are only on the top but the bread cone is a nice buttered roll. Butter beer available frozen, orser via mobile through cafe to get the hot. Its quite sweet. I love the cream on top (butterscotch) but beware the drink is sweet. Download the app for everything including wait times. Unfortunately yoshis ride was closed. The wait times are pretty accurate, often times for the long ones you wait to enter another building and then finally reach the simulation ride. Amazing graphics. Lots of roller coasters too. The only trouble we had was make sure to buy your tickets 24 hrs in advance. Its $30 more expensive at the door and if you buy it online, it wont show up. Apparently its in the fine print, but i dont think they even make you read it to make sure to warn you. So its a little sketchy. You can wait for your card to clear or buy one there, but theres a direct entrance from guest services. You go to a concierge for refund. It is a bit of a money grab. For example (kind of funny) the fyre drill may soak people and you can pay for dryers. Theres a bunch of shops for merch, but food options are eh. Bring an opaque plastic bottle for water refill, snacks are allowed. Be warned that the shows can fill up later on in the day and reach capacity and the character greetings reach capacity super fast. Overall, would love better savoury cheap bites and some umbrellas for shade. Still recommend going as the ministry of magic ride is definitely worth it (lots of new VR). Also the fountain show is pretty, sit at the viewing spot for the fountain show itself and sit at the farther ends to see the whole park interact and light up to unite the four universes.

Yelp
The theming here is so good, especially Mario world. The Harry Potter area is not as cool as the other two parks, minus the ministry which was amazing. However, the line for the ministry was 90min to 200+ minutes all day. There are only 13 rides in this park - so the lines are super long, most being 45-90 minutes. Dark Universe: We did monsters and werewolf first thing in the morning, monsters was great. Harry Potter: Cirque Show and Ministry of Magic (90 min wait) Stardust Racers: 45 min wait, was one of the best rides but short! How to train your dragon: did the coaster (45 min wait); the flyers were a 20 min wait but we were too tired. Didn't want to do the water ride Mario World: rode Yoshi (45 min wait - was cute but super slow and super short); wanted to ride the other two rides but the wait was 75-90 min for both. The Mario racers was down first thing. Food was very mediocre. The pimento bites in dark universe were ok. The food at the siene cafe in Harry Potter was not great and there was no place to order water on the app like the other restaurants. Frosty moon was a waste of money in my opinion.

Yelp
Universal's new Epic Universe theme park is great! This is the 3rd theme park installment of Universal Orlando Resort (excluding Volcano Bay as that's a water park). There are 5 sections/portals in the park you can go to - Harry Potter/How To Train Your Dragon/Dark Universe/Super Nintendo & Celestial Park. Each portal has its own highlights including restaurants and rides. 1.) Dark Universe: Absolutely amazing, and definitely my favorite area in the park. This is the area for you if you love monsters/horror/Halloween - amazing theming, especially at night. The highlight of this area is the Universal Monsters Unchained ride. This rides style is similar to the Forbidden Journey in Islands of Adventure and the line usually isn't too long as the ride is constantly moving (you'll see inside). It's a dark ride through Dr. Frankenstein's castle full of various iconic monsters like Dracula, The Mummy and more - the animatronics and details are amazing, easily a top 5 ride Universal has ever made and maybe even a top 5 ride in all Florida parks, do not miss this ride. 2.) Super Nintendo World - this area is multi-level (stairs/elevators), and is themed to be like you're in a Nintendo game, the detail is amazing. If you love Mario/Donkey Kong/Nintendo - this area is for you. There are 3 rides here, the best of the 3 is probably the Donkey Kong Mine Cart coaster, but they are all fun, only downside to the rides here is that they are VERY short for how long you'll wait to ride them. They also have these interactive wristbands for sale where you can interact with some of the decor in the area. I'd like to see this area expand more beyond Mario characters, like Pac-Man for example. 3.) Harry Potter/Paris area - a very nice addition to Universal's Harry Potter themed areas in their parks, but probably the least impressive of the 3 (Hogsmead and Diagon Alley are better in my opinion). The highlight of this area is the Ministry of Magic ride - the detail and animatronics are also amazing here, and it has a good story. The queue is also beautifully done, like you're actually in the movie in the Ministry of Magic. I recommend trying to ride in the single riders line (if available) if you don't care about your group splitting up, as the wait time can get insanely long. This area definitely needs to expand more, because outside of the ride, there's not as many attractions here compared to the other areas in Epic. 4.) Isle of Berk/How to Train Your Dragon - this is a really neat area based on the How to Train Your Dragon movies. The detail is great, and it has a couple of themed rides here as well, especially the one where you get to "fly" your own dragon is really fun (but express passes don't work on it currently FYI). 5.) Celestial Park - the main portal you'll see entering the park - a really neat area full of gift shops, restaurants, a beautiful pond and the Carousel and Stardust Racers Rollercoaster. Stardust Racers is a really fun ride, try it if you like roller coasters at all, especially at night! The same goes for the carousel, stunning at night when everything is lit up. For me, the restaurant highlight of this area is Pizza Moon - so good and not your typical theme park pizza, honestly all of the restaurants I've had at Epic Universe is were good. Also, I must add as an FYI - if you come here during peak times, like a weekend, spring/summer break or Thanksgiving/Christmas break, EXPRESS PASSES ARE A MUST IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO WAIT IN LINE ALL DAY. The entire park looks amazing and is very fun, but they definitely need to add more rides and expand, which I'm sure they will, it's Universal after all. Definitely an Epic first visit!

Yelp
I came for a conference and decided to use my one day of free time to go to the Epic Universe. Well, it was a pretty epic experience! I did the Harry Potter Battle at the Ministry ride, the Stardust Racer, and pet Toothless in Berk. We decided to skip Nintendo World since we did that in Japan and we are short on time due to the crazy wait time (which is why I didn't give a 5 stars). For those with extra cash, it might be worth buying the express pass, or just do what I did and pick the top 3-5 rides you want to do. Side note: it's worth riding Stardust Racers multiple times. I prefer the green side (crazier ride), and recommend doing the coaster at night sitting in the back for the shooting stars experience.

Yelp
Where to begin!? There is so much to say about a theme park. Of course, this was my first time going so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Let's talk about the pros first. The best part of this park is the scenery. It is amazingly done. Truly a phenomenal and immerse experience in each major section of the park. There were multiple times when we would walk in to a new area and I was in absolute awe. Walking into the ministry of magic stopped me in my tracks it was so amazing. The best section by far is super Mario world, and it is also the most packed. Both the Harry Potter world and super Mario has immersive experiences to walk around engage with the scenery. We opted out of this since it seemed a bit more kid focused. Next best, the rides. We rode everything except the donkey Kong ride and the werewolf ride. Something I enjoyed was the scenery while waiting in line. Universal is pretty good at this, but epic blew it out of the water. Wait times were LONG for most rides. The shortest we waited was for the Frankenstein ride, about 30 minutes, and the longest we waited was 2.5 hours for the Mario Kart ride, which was not worth the wait. The biggest downside to the park is that it felt small. Part of the time it didn't feel completely ready to open. On almost every single ride there was an announcement there was a technical difficulty which delayed wait times and the werewolf ride was not functioning all day. Another downside was the amount of sun. I heard about the lack of shade prior to coming but dang, the people were right. We went at the end of October and still the sun was a lot. I would never ever do this park in the middle of summer, I would be miserable, and I live in Florida. Overall, I probably will visit again, but not for another few years until the hype wears off and all the kinks get worked out.

Yelp
This was my first and most likely my last time at Epic. We entered early due to staying onsite which is a very nice perk. Started off on starburst and screamed my head off but it was good fun. The Harry Potter section is always the best part of these parks. We were not able to ride donkey Kong, any of how to train your dragon, and then monsters was closed half the day. All of these rides were closed or due to weather delay shut down. Most of the park is usually like this where things are broken due to delay or just a random reason. Very disappointing for the entrance fee. Even without the express passes we did basically the entire park before lunch time. Then the skies opened up with a downpour and lightening so we left and headed back to the hotel.

Yelp
Loved this park! From the food, the rides and customer service we received. My favorites were Isle of Berk and Super Nintendo World. We stayed at Helios Hotel which had its own entrance and early admission hours. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Mario World was absolutely amazing! I walked in and was instantly in awe -- it truly felt like stepping right into the game. The attention to detail was incredible and completely blew my mind. I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance!

Yelp
I've been to Epic Universe twice now. And I've now completed riding all of the rides. I came opening week, and just visited on 2025-10-12. Without a doubt they are letting in a ton more people than they were on opening week. I was also a little disappointed that today they didn't have all of the characters come out at 9:58am at each of the portals, light of fireworks, and then welcome the guests through the portal. Now, it's mostly roped off with massive crowds standing outside the portals. My favorite ride continues to be Huccup's Wing Gliders. However, after that ride, my favorite thing to do is to hang out in Super Nintendo World and play all of the mini games. It sucks that today 2 of the Bowser jr key games were down. This made the other games even more crowded. Lines were so long it wasn't even worth playing. Next time, I might purposely book Epic Universe when it's going to rain all day. Most people are then too afraid to play Nintendo games in the rain, but I will. Now, this trip I wanted to try all of the food stands, and I ate at a bunch. The Atlantic continues to be the best restaurant. And I went there just to have Espresso Martinis (Order at the top bar when you walk in). This time, I tried the Blue Dragon. It was fine, but I much prefer The Atlantic. There are 3 Photopass selfie stands in the park. -When you walk in at Celestial Park, under the big statue -Entrance at How To Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk -Entrance at Dark Universe Now they have some Photopass people at the park. I saw them: -Main Entrance -After walking through the main entrance portal looking into the park -Entrance to Harry Potter Portal When you already have a Universal Annual pass, the Photopass annual add on is $129.99. It is good at all 4 Universal Orlando parks.

Yelp
A new major theme park opening doesn't happen all that often in the US so I was really excited to have the chance to go see everything at Epic Universe so close to its opening. The park is split into several thematic lands. You have the Nintendo World, Universal Monsters, How to Train your Dragon, 1920's Harry Potter France, and then the Celestial Park area. Each area is full of amazing amounts of theming and detail you won't see anywhere else. While the park is still new and struggles to maintain crowds on some rides (Battle at the Ministry especially), I still managed to ride everything with my early access from my hotel. Stardust Racers and the Frankenstein ride were definitely highlights. If you can get there early try and get Donkey Kong or Battle at the Ministry done first. Donkey Kong constantly closes at the slightest hint of rain which means in Florida it's closed half the time some days. Battle at the Ministry gets to 3-4 hour long waits and it's a nightmare. The park especially shines at night. Everything is clearly made to light up at night and looks fantastic. The Super Nintendo World especially looks good with everything lit up. I can't wait to see where this park goes from here!

Yelp
Went twice so far. First was in June around when they first opened and second one was this October. Both times has been incredible experience. Each universe has been amazing. Nintendo World was amazing and I felt like I was in the game. The only thing that sucks is that if you don't have the power-up bands, the interactive games is not accessible. The lines are ridiculous. If you don't have a express pass expect to wait a long period of time.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited for the first time and a long time season pass holder of universal and all Orlando theme parks The dark world area is so well themed and good food selections and monsters unchained was good I can't say the ride is better than Harry Potter to be honest The world of Berk is really nicely themed but hot absolutely no shade. The wait times were rough but really enjoyed the roller coaster Celestial park is so relaxing and the food was reasonable and good. The carousel is so unique we actually enjoyed it and I absolutely loved Nintendo land how does this theming not bring you back to your youth. What we didn't like was no shade, the parking is a good long walk back, ride waits and the delays
google avatar

Monica B.

Yelp
Nice park, recently opened. They have a couple things to improve like parking ( we definitely got lost ). More cooling stations during the summer, all throughout the park maybe but overall the Nintendo World, Harry Potter and How to train your Dragon were awesome! I would definitely return!

Yelp
The amount of details that went into designing the universes was magnificent. I have been excited to see this place come to life ever since I've watched the teaser videos. It was packed as one would expect a new theme park to be. Even with the early admission, the lines were still numerous and long. You basically wait in line to wait in yet, another line. But was the experience worth it? Absolutely! The first portal we visited was the Nintendo universe. I was quite amazed with how bright and well designed the whole space is. Bowser's castle showed tremendous amount of attentiveness when it came to the design for both the castle and the pieces within it. If you've ever wanted to be in a game you've played as a young person over and over for hours, the Bowser's challenge is the best way to do it. I was definitely feeling nostalgic while waiting in line. The ride was amazing! Donkey Kong country is no different when it comes to the amount of details. It took is 4.5+ hours in line for a ride that seemed to have delays every 20 minutes or so. While the ride was excellent, the time in line could have been better spent elsewhere. Next up is the beloved Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I was super excited with this one but the ministry ride did not open until 10am so we had to make some tough choices to create maximum fun. We attended the circus show in the tent and it was fantastic! But let's talk about the Ministry of Magic. INSANE in the best possible way! First off, traveling through the floo network?! Get someone to capture this moment but don't stop at the floo. Inside the MoM is magical. Such great details and so many things to oogle at. We waited for about 2 hours in line for the ride and we did frequently experience momentary delays as well. Berk, Celestial park, and the dark universe were all equally great. We wished we could have spent more time hanging out in each of these other universes but since time did not permit, we went through them all and rode all the rides and moved on. Details again, were all exceptional in these other universes. Saving the dark universe for last right when the sun started going down was a great decision and riding the rollercoaster in the dark while looking at Frankenstein castle was special. While it seemed like we were rushed to fit everything in at the end of the day, got a bit grumpy in lines, had aching feet, and felt slightly overwhelmed with the decision making process of which universe to visit in what order, we still had an epic time!

Yelp
Epic Universe is a totally NEW (not your parents!!) kind of theme park. If you plan ahead and strategize, it will live up to (if not exceed) the hype. There are 11 rides total so, yes, the lines are long for most rides, especially at the peak of the day (noon to 5). But there is so much more to this park than rides. It's completely immersive. There are 4 "worlds" connected by the central world, Celestial Park. From the entrance moving clockwise the worlds are: Super Nintendo World which includes all things Mario, Luigi and Donkey Kong Country, Dark Universe which includes all things old school monsters like Frankenstein, Dracula, The Invisible Man, Wolfman, etc., The Wizarding World of Harry Potter based on 1920's Paris as shown in the Fantastic Beasts movie series and, lastly, the Isle of Berk as shown in the How to Train Your Dragon movies. Movies you won't regret watching before you go: the Fantastic Beasts and How to Train Your Dragon movie series, you won't regret it! For packing, make sure you have: shoes you are comfortable walking in ALL day (i.e. Adidas Sambas or Dr. Scholl's Time Off), travel ponchos, charger/battery pack and a travel water bottle for free water all over the park. You don't need lanyards for this park because the lockers use facial recognition. First things first, familiarize yourself with the park and determine your priorities. Watch a few "1 day at Epic" & "Epic ride ranking" videos (but try to limit visual spoilers!). (For a longer more in-depth review try listening to: The DVC Show episode #297.) Then, determine your top 4 MUST dos. What are you going to be disappointed about if you don't get to do it? Those are the "four corners" of your "puzzle" or day. Ask yourself: would you enjoy a 12 hour theme park day (8am to 10pm)? If not, are you a morning (early entry) or night (park close) person? That will be when you focus on your most popular (long line) priority (for most people this will be either the Ministry of Magic Ride or Minecart Madness Ride). If you're staying at a Universal Resort, take advantage of early park admission. We woke up at 7am, got in line for the hotel shuttle a little before 8am, arrived at Epic by 8:10am, by 8:40am they had opened the gates and we entered the first part of the park, at 9am they let us enter the portals and line up for whatever ride we were rope dropping. The Ministry of Magic doesn't open until 10am but they opened early and by 9:45am we were getting on the ride! Another option is to rope drop Mine Cart and try to knock out both that and Bowsers before 10am. If you do not have early entry, I still think it's still a good idea to get to the park early and check wait times on the Universal app. If the Ministry of Magic or Mine Cart are more than 75 mins already, maybe knock out Hiccups Wing Gliders or Werewolf. Or play the Power-Up Band games in Super Nintendo World before the crowds and heat, if that's a priority for you/your family. If you are not a morning person, noon to 4 is going to be the worst (most crowded and hot) part of the day; use this time to see the shows, enjoy some amazing park food, and knock out Monsters Unchained and maybe Bowsers (if less than 40mins) since they have incredible indoor queues. Around dinner time (~6:30/7pm) and after, wait times should start to drop for those other rides! Speaking of dinner, the food is so so so so good. Sure, you can find a turkey leg or chicken strips in this park but you can also find Sea Bass at the Atlantic and Steak Haché au Poivre at Café L'air De La Sirène. Everything we personally tried food and drink wise in this park was delicious. When people say "you can do this park in one day" they are most probably referring to doing all of the rides between the hours of park open and close. Technically, yes, you can "do" this park in one day if you are just talking about attractions. However, this is not like Six Flags or a regular amusement park. It's immersive. It's world building/creation that is meant to be experienced. So in that aspect, it will leave you satisfied but yet wanting more for future visits. TUES, SEPT 30 - WHAT WE DID: 7am Rise + Shine 8am Shuttle to Epic 9:45am Battle at the Ministry (rope drop!) 10am Cafe L'air De La Sirène $40 11am Hiccup's Wing Gliders (40min wait) 12pm Lunch at The Mead Hall $40 12:40pm Monsters Unchained (25min wait) 1:20pm Untrainable Dragon 2pm Mario Kart (50min wait + 10min delay) 3:15pm Power-Up Band Games (We lost) 4:30pm Dinner at Pizza Moon $30 5:35pm Le Cirque Arcanus 6pm Wizarding World Shops 6:45pm Peaked in Burning Blade Tavern 7pm Curse of the Werewolf (30min wait) 7:45pm Battle at the Ministry (25min wait) 8:30pm Mario Kart (15min wait) 9pm Star Sui Bao 9:30pm Shuttle to Dockside

Yelp
I would give my experience today a solid C+. I had heard mixed reviews so I went into today not knowing which way it was going to go. I want to preface this by saying the design of these lands was AMAZING and incredibly immersive. I was very impressed and blown away. They should be very proud of how it turned out. We did have the rain experience that others have said. The entire park basically can't function correctly when it rains even if rides are inside. Also, it definitely felt to me like a half day kind of park. We got there early and felt like we had done pretty much most of it by the mid afternoon. That being said as a Nintendo kid I LOVED Super Nintendo world. Monsters unchained was also an incredible ride in Dark Universe. I came with a friend who flew down to visit as well as my husband and am glad that she at least experienced Dark Universe. It's not an experience I can see myself paying to come to again for a single day but maybe once it's part of their annual pass program we would come back.

Yelp
Differently from the Disney parks, you get your money's worth here. The Mario Kart, the Frankenstein, the Harry Potter and the roller coaster at the How to Train Your Dragon zone were our favorite rides. The park itself is quite beautiful, decently sized (not too big, not too small) and well maintained. Kudos to its engineers, designers, administrators, etc. The downsides were: 1) the fact that one of the staff told us that the single rider line for one of the rides was closed for the day, which forced us to go to the regular and very long line, to later see single riders entering the quicker single rider line right next to us. 2) the fact that the shows reach full capacity 15 minutes or more before the show starts but don't open before 30 min or so the stated starting time, leaving one with a very narrow window to line up.

Yelp
The newest park in Orlando was a modern take on theme parks as a whole. You definitely need the app to view wait times, menus, but also to order food and use some other features. Set up an account and link your card before you get to the park. There are tons of thinks to do and you can definitely spend a few days exploring all the nooks and crannies. I felt that this park was fairly easy to cover in one day, especially if multiple roller coasters are down. I would recommend saving Super Nintendo world till later in the day, mainly because it's overwhelmed in the morning, and calms down a bit later on. Overall it was a great experience

Yelp
I remember years ago when we were bored at work when we stumbled upon the blueprints of epic universe...I was so excited. It finally opened and we waited for it to calm down before we visited. Went on a Tuesday and it wasn't difficult to find, parking was easy, and the check in are was easy too. The food was good! We had the Mac and cheese cone, beouf bourgignon, vegan sausage, all were good!! What I didn't enjoy: the app to order food was so dysfunctional. At one point, the attendant at the isle of Berk told everyone to just go up to any window to pick up your food since there was a disconnect with the app and the kitchen. We rode: Monsters Unchained 10/10 Battle at the Ministry 10/10 Stardust Racers 10/10 Mario Kart: 5/10 Dragon Racers Rally 3/10 Fyre Drill 4/10 We watched both shows, both were phenomenal!! We went the night before the guest passed away on Stardust Racers. While we absolutely loved this ride, our thoughts and prayers are with his family. I can't imagine being so excited to go to a park only to lose your life on a ride. This was devastating.

Yelp
I came here for my friend's bachelorette trip, and we had a great time! I do feel like one day is enough to cover almost the entire park including the wait times. I was pretty familiar with where everything was after a couple of hours. The rides at Dark Universe were my favorite by far. The Frankenstein ride and Curse of the Werewolf were solid 10/10 rides! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was fun, but we did wait over 2 hours for the ride there that was delayed indefinitely until we decided to give up. The Nintendo World was fun and we did an interactive Mario Kart race. I saw a show at the How to Train Your Dragon park that was super cute. I rode both the Star Chaser ride and Constellation Carousel in Celestial Park. The Star Chaser ride was a bit too intense for me, but the Constellation Carousel was perfect! They had plenty of food options and souvenir shops throughout the park too!

Yelp
I went to Epic Universe for the first time last week. I'm not sure how I feel about the experience and the park. The park is impressive. The detail in everything is amazing. However, there are not many rides and attractions and the wait times are insane. We did not get to go on Donkey Kong Mine Cart because the wait was always 3 hours. Express Passes sold out at 10:30AM and the park opened at 10. We spent most of our day waiting in line. There are interactive things for kids if you are willing to pay. You can get a wrist band that interacts with the blocks and other items in the Nintendo area. I believe the bands are $40 each. Another thing to note is the location of the park. It is NOT near the other two Universal parks and it is NOT connected to the City Walk. Do not make a reservation at a restaurant on City Walk the day you are going to Epic unless you want to waste more time in your park day. The hours are also not the same as the other parks. I believe Epic Universe is open from 10AM to 10PM. Overall, I would recommend going to this park, but get the Express Pass or you will feel like you have wasted a day waiting in lines.

Yelp
This is a cool park. As an 80s baby loved the Nintendo world. Can't wait to see how to park grows. The Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment was a lot of fun.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! What an immersive, incredible theme park that truly lives up to its name. Each world was so detailed you truly felt like you were there. I recommend getting in around 9am to get online to wait for Mario World and heading to Donkey Kong to get that ride done first since the wait time is consistently long. While Mario was the best land, generally speaking, monsters unchained in dark universe was the best ride. For food, I recommend the Mac n cheese come from how to train your dragon and Ube Pizza from Pizzaluna. Staff was friendly and always in character. It is possible to do everything if you plan wisely. Would absolutely die to come back.

Yelp
Epic Universe is a must-visit for theme park fans. The new Super Nintendo World is the star of the show, with the interactive Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge ride and the kid-friendly Yoshi's Adventure, plus an amazing Donkey Kong mine-cart coaster that feels straight out of the game. The theming is top-tier and super immersive. The park was clean and so incredibly fun. Wait times were long but worth every minute. It truly felt like you were in alternate universe. I also loved the new Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic area. It is darker and more detailed than the older Wizarding World areas, with an epic headline ride and great food. How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk is surprisingly beautiful and fun for all ages. And Dark Universe gives classic monster fans something totally unique. These universes were less crowded! Food is a highlight here as you don't miss the DK Crush Float in Donkey Kong Country or the Butterbeer in the Harry Potter land. Enjoy a Mario or Luigi burger at Toads Cafe or ice cream throughout the park, as well. It's a packed park, but worth every minute. Can't wait to go back. Parking is available but expect to walk a lot throughout the day.

Yelp
WHAT AN EPIC DAY!! Absolutely beautiful new park! Universal did a phenomenal job with the decor, the rides, the food, the actors, just everything. It was perfectly thought out and you can tell as soon as you enter the park and each portal to each world and what it has to offer. We tried a lot of food and for the price it's worth it for the quality and size of the portions you get for things like hamburgers, desserts, and drinks. Parking is $32 per vehicle like the other universal theme parks. Some rides we rode 3-4 times! We got lucky coming on Labor Day weekend and surprisedly it wasn't too pack. Highly recommend for to anyone to come visit Epic Universe. ^.^

Yelp
Visually beautiful, beautiful park. But they need a better system in place for the delays and the lines. I understand its a new park, but we just went September 2025 thinking hey, the kids will be in school- less crowds- nope! Adults are rude, cut you, push you out of the way. That is no fault of the park but it just made it an unpleasant experience. Every single ride was "delayed" - these are new rides? How are they delayed? Went to Islands of Adventure the next day and had absolutely no delays, wait times 10-15 mins and those rides be going strong 10+ years. Makes you wonder if it's built cheap. We waited 2+ hours in Mine Cart Madness cause we mostly went for Nintendo World and then got told while waiting there was a weather delay- meanwhile Yoshi's adventure is still outdoor and running. Felt like we paid so much money for tickets for nothing. May try to go again in 10 or so years, but i would stay far away from now until they have their stuff figured out. We came from Ohio, and was on our honeymoon. I figured with it being open 4 months the'd have a flow down but nah. Also waited 2hrs for ministry of magic to see what all the hype was about and every time i thought i was close to the ride, I would be led into another room of more lines. You go through the tunnel, outside, then into the ministry of magic- then 4+ rooms after that of more lines to get to the actual ride itself. It drove me mad hahah. Def invest in an express pass if you want to go is what I would say cause we rode 3 rides the whole day from 8-5 and that was it. Overall, was nice to see but it was a way better day the next day at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We were counting ourselves lucky we weren't at Epic.

Yelp
Wow what an experience. So I came here with my family on a Saturday morning. We had a pretty big party it was 14 of us. Getting into the park was pretty easy. We came right when they opened with the early access. We had it straight towards How to train your Dragon world which we should've did last because they stayed open an hour past the park closing. I want to say there's 11 rides and I was only able to ride 5. The park opened in May and it's still very crowded so the lines were extremely long with some of them even breaking down. We waited in the Mario kart line for two hours and I only stayed because it was in the AC. Most of the rides have lines with a cover over it so I really appreciate that. They don't have you directly standing in the sun for those long length of time. The express passes were just as much as the ticket if not more. We decided to eat lunch in the park, at a restaurant. I ordered the fish and chips which came out high and fresh, but I did not like them at all. It was this one thick piece of fish. I'll have to come back on a day when the kids are in school to see if I can get the full experience. They have an amazing water show at the end of the night which I loved so if you have the time stay for that.

Yelp
Orlando's INCREDIBLE new theme park! 11 attractions and the best food that Universal has ever created. I believe this is a major improvement for the resort. My favorite spots are Pizza Moon, Monsters Unchained, Stardust Racers and walking around Super Nintendo World. This park could use some more indoor attractions for the rainy days, but so could every theme park in Florida. As a theme park super-fan, I have visited parks around the world. I can confidently say that this is the most gorgeous nighttime theme park I have ever experienced.

Yelp
Why 4 stars? Because the visuals were great, the thrills were less so. --- --- --- Seeing the pictures and videos of Epic Universe, it's easy to be sold on making a trip to Epic Universe. But I am someone who loves theme parks for the thrill rides, and I was a bit disappointed in this aspect of the park. But the different worlds were really amazing from a visual standpoint, so we still really enjoyed our visit overall. Our son has autism and can struggle with waiting in line more than the typical kid, so we were actually able to acquire a disability pass. The way this works is that you are able to visit a ride, and they give you a time to come back, before allowing you to go through the Express Pass lane. The longest time we were given was one hour, even if the wait time was over 2 hours for a ride. If it was under 2 hours, they would usually just cut the time in half. So our routine was to go get a time slot for a ride with a long wait, and then go do a ride with a short wait. We were basically able to avoid waiting in any line for more than 15-20 minutes all day and were very grateful to Universal's assistance on that front. Speaking of lines, we stalked the queue times for the weeks leading up to this trip and saw a pretty consistent pattern: Sunday nights are the best time to visit. I highly recommend this to anyone contemplating visiting but hesitant due to the line times. Below, I'll break down each ride by type, rather than by world: **THRILL RIDES** Stardust Racers: 5-stars. -This is, by far, the best attraction if you're looking for a thrill ride at the park. It's one of the best coasters I've ever ridden. Non-stop action from start to finish. It's interesting that they require you to completely empty your pockets into the lockers, even in my case where I had zipper pockets. I'm not sure why, but fortunately the lines were very short when I visited, so it's not like you have to wait for hours without your phone to entertain you. Hiccups Wing Gliders: 4-stars. -I rode this before Stardust, so at the time, it was my favorite of the day. It's really fun, and with only a 42" height requirement, the younger kids can enjoy it as well. Curse of the Werewolf: 3-stars. -This is a fun ride, but it's just way too short. Minecart Madness: 2-stars. -I'm really shocked that this ride routinely has the longest queue times. I was pretty disappointed with it as the thrills are pretty minimal. **EXPERIENCE RIDES** Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry: 4-stars. -5-stars visually, 3-stars for a ride. There's a lot going on in this ride, but it was definitely an amazing visual experience. There are certain parts of the ride where you can't tell what's real life and what's video. They knocked it out of the park with the part, and even the line area is really amazing. But there were some missed opportunities to make you really feel the G-forces during drops, when in reality it's more like they just tilt your seat down and blow wind in your face to simulate a drop. Mario Kart: 3-stars. -Speaking of a lot going on, this ride is BUSY. I don't really understand how I seemed to almost have unlimited turtle shells to throw, even after I would use up my 3 from the question marks. This ride felt like 3 minutes of an LSD simulation and I wasn't really sure what I was even doing. Cool concept, but it feels like it was rushed without working the kinks out. Monsters Unchained: 3-stars. -I love how quickly they move people through this one. I walked through the single rider lane and literally never stopped moving until I was sitting in the seat: 2 minutes from entering the line to being on the ride. It also gets props for being unique in the way that they move you in all different directions throughout the ride. But would I need to do it again? Meh. Just a warning for the kiddos, I could see it being kind of scary for the little ones. It does require 48" height, but I think I'd be concerned more about mental safety than physical. **OTHER RIDES** Constellation Carousel: 3-stars -It's probably the coolest carousel you'll ever see, but it's still a carousel in the end. Fyre Drill: 2-stars -I'm not really sure what the point of this ride was. It seemed like they wanted to do something water-based, but I wasn't ever sure why I was attempting to hit targets with my water gun. I'd say do this strictly because you're hot and need to cool off, but there's no reason beyond that. Dragon Racer's Rally: 2-stars -Another one I'm not too sure what the point was. It's also incredibly short, and this was the longest line I waited in. It required 48" height, so my son wasn't able to do it, but it's really a ride that younger kids would care a lot more about. It's also very short in duration. You go around like 4-5 times. Yoshi's Adventure: 1-star -Obviously this is the thing at the park most geared toward the really little kids. It's not really even a ride.

Yelp
I recently visited Epic Universe with my family to celebrate both of my children's birthdays. While the park itself is beautiful and conveniently laid out, our experience was disappointing in several areas. When we entered Nintendo World, two of the key attractions were down, and the Yoshi ride was closed for the entire day. We tried to make the best of it and explore other areas, but the issues continued. Later, while visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, my wife and I stopped at Bar Moonshine for an adult beverage, and the cashier's attitude made the interaction uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Between the ride closures and the poor customer service, our visit didn't meet the expectations we had for such a special family occasion. I hope these issues are addressed so future guests can have a smoother, more enjoyable experience.

Yelp
I grew up with the Nintendo characters, so I was waiting for the opportunity to visit Epic Universe to check out Nintendo World. I decided to do it in July, for my birthday and it was a lot of fun. From Nintendo World, to Wizardry World of Harry Potter, and How to Train Your Dragon, there is a lot to see and so to keep you entertained for a weekend.

Yelp
Epic Universe is the absolute bomb and everything an amusement park should be. Rides are great, shows are fun and exciting, food and drinks are excellent! The lines are sometimes long but the app can sometimes help in managing your way around the park and performing line management. Parking is easy and excitement abounds at Universal Epic Universe! One word sums up this amusement park: Epic. 5 stars and two thumbs up! Verdict: Go!

Yelp
All these parks have gotten crazy expensive, if the kids were still little I do not think we would come to Orlando, as we did several times years ago. It cost us $413 to get us both in, and we do not ride coasters. The water squirting boat was a dud, as the guns did not have the power to hit the distant targets. The Mario ride the line kept tricking one into thinking one was almost there, and was underwhelming once one got there. To me the Frankenstein ride was a yawn fest, maybe little kids would be scared. The lines everywhere were too long. It would be one thing if the rides were astoundingly good after the ghastly wait, but other than the substandard squirt gun boat, the rides were just ok. I did like the abundant tap water fountains, including ones to fill your own bottles, nice touch. I also liked that we encountered no line-cutting urban types, intent on bumping people and speaking loudly. I was surprised that they demanded to take our picture to get in. Awful lot of that going on now and getting compiled. We encountered unexpected steep stairs for the entrance lines, not gradual ramps, and it was too late to go back and find an elevator. Booo. My bottle of "purified" water was six bucks. So for me it was not even close to worth the money for the entertainment provided. Dollywood on the other hand was worth every penny, so go to Pigeon Forge Tennesse.

Yelp
I had the BEST time at Epic Universe. It is 100% my new favorite theme park. Now I did start off with the VIP tour and then got the Express Pass for the rest of the day. I did not wait longer than 20 minutes for any ride with the Express Park. We stayed until park close and was able to walk on Ministry of Magic (I rode it three times that day). If you don't have the Express Pass then the lines will be a bit out of hand (just like every other theme park in Orlando right now). We stayed at Helios which also just made the whole experience that much better. Overall Mario Land was the most impressive portal to me, although I thoroughly enjoyed them all. Top Rides Dragon Racer's Rally - such a delight Ministry of Magic - just insane theming and a super fun ride if you are into Harry Potter Mine-Cart Madness- the theming was also on point, I loved riding this one at night more than during the day Monsters Unchained: From the queue to the ride, an impressive experience Rides I didn't care for: Hiccup's Wing Gliders Curse of the Werewolf Now I was obsessed with the park, would I bring my six year old here? Definitely not. I think to really enjoy the variety and type of rides, kids have to be a bit older. The food was hit or miss. The butterbeer crepe was insanely good, while other's like the ttettebokki skewer was a no for me. Also Das Steak closed at 7pm which feels wild for a Dark Universe dinner spot. I'm not a big show person, but the light show at park closing was beautiful.

Yelp
Take your time and read the reviews and tips online to strategize your day for this park. The express passes can only be used once for each ride. I'd recommend skipping past Mario and heading back to Frankenstein and the other rides that have a far less wait time. If you get early access for staying on resort just know that not all the rides are open early as well. The food is great here, they have really good dining options like Atlantic. I'd recommend the lobster roll with aioli on the side.

Yelp
The online hype was crazy and approaching the park was exhilarating! But pro-tip: there is hardly ANY shaded areas in any of the worlds, so bring those UV umbrellas or a hat. It was unbearable before the heavy down pour. We had a big party with us, but we were the only ones with a stroller and the first World we went to was Mario World. We were directed to another entrance so we couldn't enter through the escalator and I thought we were going to miss out. Actually, NO! We were able to walk through the pipe and even hear the iconic sounds for SMB! Entering this world - insanity. PURE insanity. There are families and small kids yelling and running around. Donkey Kong was also very cool, but same concept and hotter?? For my families with babies and diapers, family rooms are available! Just bring your own disinfectant wipes to do a quick wipe down, and get that baby changed. The family rooms are also themed, which is very cool. We also recommend that you bring your own reusable water bottle. There are refill stations at the bathrooms AND at the Freestyle coke stations. We brought in our water bottles AND bought the refill Freestyle cups (those you can refill every 10 minutes). Everything else was great, but customer service at certain parts are questionable. Definitely no magic here, just people here to get through the day lol.

Yelp
We visited Epic Universe in September 2025. We did buy express passes for the attractions which improved the entire experience as it allowed us to maximize our day and visit all the attractions we wanted. The park was clean and not too crowded on a Monday (labor day). I loved the landscaping at the park, very nice flowers and plants to look at! Our favorite area was Super Mario. Of course, you'll spend an arm and a leg for a day trip here but that is to be expected.

Yelp
Amazing park that is still shaking down. Recommend spending all day here and doing the dark universe at night and a second run with the stardust chaser, which is markedly better at night. Ride is dark except for the other dueling coaster and the background of the park

Yelp
Decided for my birthday gift, I wanted to come to Epic to experience the Mario Kart world experience. I am not going to sit here and complain about wait times, because let's be honest, it's a huge amusement park there are going to be huge wait times, and that held true. Parking tip, they have a covered , closer lot which they were charging 60 dollars for then a 30 dollar lot further back not covered. I would say don't spend the extra 30 because the covered closer lot is still a nice distant from the door, so totally not worth it unless you want your car covered to stay cooler only, because the walk is not that much shorter for 30 more dollars. Definitely download the app prior, setup everything and read everything it will make it much easier to get around, pay for things, see mapping, ride times etc. Also from the app you can order ahead for dining. The park is a bit confusing, with little signage, and workers to help, so the app will be your best friend. You can bring in water bottles(plastic)! and there is also free water stations throughout the park, which I found very helpful!

Yelp
Love Universals new theme park Epic Universe. Fast passes are a must if you don't want to wait hours in line for rides. Although we are sad we missed out on Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, Donkey Kong Mine-Cart Madness, and Dragon Racer's Rally because they were not included in the Express Pass and we didn't want to wait in long lines to ride these. I do think if we're paying extra for this option, everything should be included. I do love that most of the rides offer free lockers on the rides for your items. Only ride I did not like was Mario Kart: Browser's Challenge. The headband thing they give you definitely hurt if you have your hair done and It was a struggle trying to see the 3D. My favorite ride was definitely Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. The food was great and for sit down dining, I definitely recommend dining at the Atlantic. All the soda refill stations have water, so bring something you can refill. I highly recommend the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience Experiment. Takes about 20/25 minutes to apply the makeup and everyone is so friendly. The characters around the park will say the funniest stuff to you, especially in Isle of Berk. Also loved seeing "Le Cirque Arcanus" in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Yelp
Beautiful park and so well done. The elements were well executed and so thought out. Every universe was its own. It was incredibly clean and all the workers were polite and helpful.

Yelp
I recommend but don't go without a fast pass. I don't like how expensive the fast passes are more than then the tickets. That's crazy. They need to change less for that. Those line were too much. And we had kids with disabilities and they couldnt get us assistance. Besides that the park is amazing a dream come true. But it was just the bad expierence with the long lines

Yelp
Impressive new theme park that wows with its visuals, immersive worlds, and ambitious ride design. The attention to detail in areas like Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe is exceptional, and standout attractions like Stardust Racers and Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry deliver memorable thrills. However, there are long wait times (especially for indoor rides), minimal shade and shelter in many outdoor areas, and there aren't quite enough rides to fill a full, busy day comfortably. Overall, it's a breathtaking park that raises the bar thematically but with some growing pains in guest flow, weather preparedness, and ride capacity.

Yelp
Operational Failure Ruined a Milestone 9th Birthday Trip Premium Price for 4 Rides in 10 Hours: Broken Nintendo IP Rides at Epic Universe Make This Park Unacceptable. We traveled cross-country from Indiana for our child's 9th birthday--a trip that cost thousands of dollars--specifically to experience Super Nintendo World at the new Epic Universe. What we received was a catastrophic operational failure that ruined this milestone event. The Facts of Failure (Catastrophic Value): Over 10 hours in the park, our party was only able to successfully ride four (4) major attractions. The operational downtime was pervasive and constant throughout the day. The failure was most pronounced in the highly-anticipated Super Nintendo World area, where the main rides were frequently shut down, leaving lines frozen for long periods. This is not a "soft launch"; it's a broken product being sold at a premium price. We spent the majority of the day standing in non-moving queues only to be evacuated. The park's operational efficiency is, quite frankly, fraudulent. The Unacceptable Corporate Response: Universal's handling of this systemic failure has been equally disastrous. Their only "solution" was to offer us a free replacement ticket--forcing us to spend thousands more on airfare, hotel, and travel to re-do the trip. This is not a fix; it's a bait-and-switch designed to offload accountability and protect their launch metrics. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for Deceptive Marketing and are demanding a full refund for our admissions plus compensation for the ruined milestone. When a representative tried to move the conversation private, we immediately demanded they respond through the BBB for documentation. Warning to Future Guests (Actionable Advice): Until Universal Orlando fundamentally addresses its operational problems, do not visit. The problem is not isolated; it is systemic park-wide. Do not waste your money on Express Passes or VIP tours; they are useless if the rides are not running. Do not risk your own special occasion trip here. The current experience is a massive waste of time and money that is now the subject of a formal Deceptive Marketing claim. #RuinedBirthday #ValueFailure

Yelp
This is going to be a little tough to write, and I want to preface that our visit was in the first year of this park being open, so please keep that in mind as I'm sure they're going to work out the kinks over the next year My biggest scrape with this park is that they definitely sell more tickets than they can physically handle. It was crowded! There's no reason that several rides have three hour wait times. They have full control over how many tickets they sell as you have to specify what day you're going to the park. Even as a freedom ticket holder, I have to specify the exact day that I'm going to be in epic universe. Their best bet would have been to lower the attendance. Ordering food at one of the stands in Burke was absolutely the worst experience I had. They had one stand specifically for mobile orders, but waited to tell me that they actually changed it and everything will be mobile order. They told us this after already waiting in line for 10 minutes and then it took us another 30 minutes to get our food. I know it was during lunch rush but it was absolutely horrible and the girl just had horrible customer service. There is no signage or anything to indicate. You can only mobile order and the lines were absolutely chaotic. I also have to say I'm pretty disappointed in the merch that's offered. The lounge fly bags for how to train your Dragon for $120 as opposed to the other ones in the park that were anywhere from $65-$85. I really wasn't impressed with any of the merch and ended up going home empty-handed. Pizza moon was incredible and I highly recommend everybody go there They need a much better queue for the ride in the ministry of magic. There's also not that much to do there so unfortunately, even though the park was beautiful and that world was absolutely beautiful, there's not much to do in that area, which is a pretty big disappointment because fantastical beasts would have so many cute rides to be a part of. Universal could have done something similar to the minions ride that follows the beast, even 2 cups would've been a nice addition. It definitely is a full day event if you are going to this park and I do recommend giving yourself time but unfortunately, most of that is waiting in lines. I hope they start limiting access to the park instead of greedily selling a lot of tickets for the money because it changes somebody's experience and they're willingness to come back.

Yelp
Epic Universe truly stands by its name. Amazingly immersive. Bringing us deeper into the worlds we already know and showing us totally new ones. I was able to visit Epic Universe for 2 days. If would say if your main purpose is to ride as much as you can AND you're able to get the fast pass, you could get all of that done in 1 day. Fast pass isn't cheap but it best waiting for 3 hours for a popular ride. I would recommend getting the refillable universal studios cup. If you want soda for the day, you'd have to pay daily to get refills but if you don't pay, you can still refill on water (filtered water. Not the pool water all over Florida). On a hot day in Florida, you'll be thankful for that water. Great things to see and do during the day and at night. I love universal studios. However, it is obvious that their park isn't very friendly to bigger people. I'm talking about tall people and wide people. Every ride at every theme park has a height limit. You must be this tall to ride. However, if you're too tall, you could end up with your knees behind your head. For the wide people, you know that feeling of not being able to fit on a ride. It sucks! Universal has an answer for this: test seats. The test seats are right outside the entrances to the ride. You pop in and see if you get a green light. Saves you standing in line. However, I've had (and seen) more than a few people get a green light on the test seats only to be sent away once they got to the ride. Not sure how accurate some of them are. It does feel like an airplane with trying to get maximum occupancy. The rides get busy so I understand wanting to get people in and out as quickly as possible. Just takes away from the experience. A fun park nonetheless. I would go again. Can't wait to see what they do next!

Yelp
Universal's newest park is Epic Universe. It consists of four distinct worlds, plus celestial park in the middle. They did an incredible job making each world very immersive. The most impressive was Super Nintendo World where you feel like you're in Marioland. But Super Nintendo World is also the busiest since all of the kids (and adults) love it. The Harry Potter world takes you into the impressive Ministry of Magic and Fantastic Beasts. If you're into How to Train Your Dragon, then you'll be impressed by the Isle of Berk with its many dragons and totems. Finally, there's Dark Universe, which is home to Frankenstein's monster. You won't be able to get on every ride without an express pass. Some of the rides have lines on the 1-2 hr range. You can try to get on the rides faster if you enter the single rider line. However, not all rides have single rider lines and single rider lines start at regular park opening. As a patron of their hotels, you can enter the park an hour earlier. However, there are no single rider lines in that hour. I was able to get on the Harry Potter Ride, which took about 2 hours in a queue. The park is still going through growing pains and there were numerous delays as there were issues with the ride. But the ride was very impressive and I enjoyed it. I was also able to get on the Monsters Unchained ride, which had a short queue throughout the day. It was also quite impressive. Finally, I was able to get on the Yoshi's Adventure ride, which is geared more for kids. It took an hour to get on the ride and felt too short. I tried to get on both the Donkey Kong ride and the Constellation Carousel but delays/issues with the ride prevented me from staying in line/getting on before the park closed. I was able to experience the Untrainable Dragon show, which was very good. But what left a bad taste in my mouth was, you guessed it, delays. They added a show at 12:50pm, we lined up, then they said that they canceled the show while leaving everyone standing in the heat after we had been standing outside in the heat for 30 minutes. I tried the Dragon Fire Chicken Mac & Cheese cone at the Isle of Berk. It was tasty and spicy. But I thought there wasn't enough chicken. Overall, I thought this was a good themed amusement park. I hope it gets better over time by reducing delays and hopefully fewer guests over time to reduce wait times.
