I recently had a major surgery and I want to say that I had an amazing stay there and the nurses that took care of me..they was unbelievable. I live in another town and I'm glad that I was referred to UMC. They really did their job..while I was there from getting pre-registered to prep,to surgery to recovery and discharged. I can not thank this hospital and staff enough for their services and hospitality. My nurses was Courtney, Letty and Ms. Kendra and few other but I know these ones went above and beyond. Ms. Kendra and Ms. Courtney was amazing! They was remarkable! Very thankful to have had them to take care of me on my stay there.. They was wonderful! Dr. Lacoco was also wonderful doctor as well..along with his staff, Miss Courtney and Ms. Shannon. I definitely highly recommend this hospital. Thank you for your time and services! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We recently had a hospital stay at UMC in Lubbock, and I honestly don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am. From the nurses to the doctors, the cleaning staff, the people who brought the meals everyone treated us with so much kindness, patience, and compassion. As a mom, having a sick child is terrifying, but the entire staff made us feel supported and cared for every single day. The nurses were amazing, attentive, and always willing to explain things and answer my questions. The room was always clean, the food service staff was so kind, and every interaction felt genuine and caring. This was a very hard time for our family, and UMC made it so much easier. I truly felt that everyone there cared not just about my child’s health, but about us as a family. Thank you for everything you do you are all a true blessing. I also want to give a special thank you to the team who visited with my daughter, brought her toys, and helped keep her entertained during our stay. They made a difficult time so much easier and showed such kindness and care.

i have birth to my son here and it was so traumatic for me,this was my first pregnancy and the doctors were were so Un compassionate, i was trying my best pushing my baby out and they would yell to go harder as if i wasn’t doing anything and they would just be sitting down while i was in pain pushing, one doctor in training sat through my 3 hour labor pushing and only got up when my baby was crowing just so the doctor can teach him how to sow me and he just left as if i was a test doll or something it was so uncomfortable and then once my baby was born they left him on my chest for about 3 seconds before they took him away to get measured and weighed i did not feel a connection with him the first few weeks and i think it’s because they did not let him bond when he was out,since i gave birth i did not see my doctor ever again never check up on me or anything,apparently i got a second degree tear but i got stitches all the way to my but so i did not understand how it was a second degree tear,i asked the nurses if they could ask the doctor to prescribe tylenol and Ibuprofen and the nurse said no that’s over the counter when i would of easily gotten them with my insurance but they shut me down and so much more. the only thing i am grateful for is that the nicu nurses did amazing with my son after he had jaundice they did a great job.

Even though we drove from Carlsbad and had to wait 10 hours to get into an ER room, the care was phenomenal once we got into a room. 5th floor nurses Rose, Mara, Angel, and Maebelle were the best nurses we have ever had at any hospital. The were friendly, funny, and very attentive. Dr. Gonzales from cardiology took a lot of time to give a great explanation of my husband's heart failure issue. The care was grealy appreciated. The food service workers were great as well. Keep up the excellent care.

Quality care across the whole system. From reception, staff, maintenance, care givers, housekeeping, nurses, physicians, surgical staff and nutrition. Multiple experiences, at multiple facilities. Kingsgate Family Health facility is no exception. Haven’t had a bad experience in the five years since I made the conscious choice to become fully UMC centric for my care team. UMC builds trust.

I am very disappointed in how Brandon Wells handled my mom's care. I was in the office with my mom when Brandon Wells told us he would put in a urgent call to get my mom a procedure she desperately needs, we waited to hear back when they would schedule her. When we didn't hear back, we called his office and spoke with his nurse. She said if something is urgent doesn't mean it is immediate but that is not what he made it sound to us. He said to us the sooner the better because the longer we wait to get this procedure the less effective it would be They tried to maked it seem like my mom wasn't following the dr instruction and that she should be doing pain management and physical therapy which is not possible for her to do in her condition. She is taking the medication he perscribed for pain. Plus, we only spoke about physical therpay after the procedure not before. She is doing all she can but sadly Brandon and his staff are not. When my mom looked into her patient portal they put in her notes they were going to refer her to the spine institute for consideration of the procedure which is not what he disclosed with us. There was also nothing that showed her case was urgent. The lack of communication is unprofessional, and the misrepresentation of "urgency" is negligent. We were very hopeful for a speedy recovery for my mom and now it feels like we are having to jump through hoops to get her needs met through multiple phone calls. I would be very cautious if you are thinking of going to see this Dr., they may gaslight you.

Do not even begin to expect quality care here. It is 5:19 in the morning and the nurses are laughing it up and being loud at the nurses station but it will take several minutes to respond to patients. I have never received horrible care and passive aggressiveness from nurses before. You think that professionalism would be required to work here but not anymore. Nurses will be absolutely upset everytime you push your call button and I can hear them say “again?” Before opening the door to come check on us. I have not been a problematic person so I’m not sure why we are being treated this way. The lack of care is astounding and you can tell these people do not love their jobs and that should not be taken out on us. This hospital gets their money and doesn’t care about anything else. Please go anywhere else besides here. Nurses not caring can and will mess up peoples lives but it’s just another day to them. Night shift is a joke.

Just wanted to share a positive experience with Dr. Diego Cruz, Internal Medicine. I must share that during my interactions with him in person and with follow-ups, he has been nothing, but professional, patient, caring snd compassionate. What surprised me most about this doctor, was his follow-up yo ensure my every health issue was addressed and a resolution met. Thank you Dr. Cruz.
