Saint Frank: San Francisco Coffee Shop Will Take Over an Inner Sunset Starbucks | Eater SF

"Described as a Michelin Guide–vetted institution that has "held it down for a long time," serving as an established presence amid the recent openings and changes in the neighborhood." - Paolo Bicchieri

Here's a comprehensive private research university that flies completely under the radar. There are reasons for that, including the fact that this institution is very young by the standards of elite research universities. It's becoming harder to gain admission to the college each year. Miami is no longer the college of choice for wealthy, underachieving, white kids from south Florida. In fact, the university is now a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities. Nearly everything about the university has improved substantially in the past decade, but certain programs really shine. Music, marine biology, earth and atmospheric science, communication, business, and computer science are standouts. The lush grounds and lovely modern buildings are worth a stroll, no matter your affiliation (or lack thereof) with the university. Many of the university's athletic facilities are off campus.

Very Disappointing Experience Lack of Communication and Accountability Our experience with the University of Miami has been extremely disappointing due to poor communication and a serious lack of responsibility regarding scholarship information. We were clearly informed and approved for a scholarship with a specific dollar amount, which played a major role in our decision to enroll our daughter. Based on that confirmation, she started classes in good faith. After the semester had already begun, the university abruptly retracted the scholarship amount and issued a full tuition bill instead, without any clear explanation or accountability. This last-minute reversal created unnecessary impact on the families plan and reflects a breakdown in internal communication and transparency. Families make decisions based on the information provided by the university, and pulling back agreed-upon financial aid after classes start is unacceptable and unprofessional. We expected better standards, clearer processes, and accountability from an institution of this reputation. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

If you're trying to bring students on a tour here DON'T BOTHER! Admissions won't respond for weeks and then tell you everything is full. This has happened multiple years to me. Overpriced and overhyped school.

The time I spent dealing with this school was one of the worst and trauma inducing experiences I ever had. I was a victim of a rape by deceit case and no one on staff took me seriously and was even called "emotional". The school is completely indifferent and malevolent towards individuals and it worsened by mental health in a numerous amount of ways. I don't recommend anyone go to or support this school. It regularly ignores rules and guidelines for their own convenience and don't show care towards others.

My four years at the University of Miami were truly the most amazing of my life. I advanced academically, professionally, and personally in ways I could have never imagined.

Statement of Disappointment with Press Handling I would like to express my disappointment with the press handling by the individual holding the position of Communications Director. When addressing an important issue, I expected a professional approach, but the response I received was distant and indifferent, compromising transparency and efficiency. Additionally, the University of Miami tarnishes its reputation with such questionable behavior, especially considering the director's high professional standing. I can not recommend studying at this institution, as actions like this do not align with the transparency and professionalism one should expect from a respected university. I hope this situation is reviewed and that, in the future, communication is handled with the respect and seriousness it deserves.

I love this school! AMAZING professors that really care about their students and for the material that they teach! I highly recommend at least taking a tour of the school if you're interested in attending this amazing school!

Absolutely beautiful campus! I took a tour and the campus is very post-modern. Lots of art works and installations spread throughout. There is a wonderful mall style food court. We took a look at the dorms and each person gets their own room in their floor. Tour information session extremely informative with costs, requirements, options, etc. Everyone could not have been more nice and helpful!
