Mile End’s Farine Shuts Down Its Ovens — and Other Closures | Eater Montreal
"A Pine Avenue French staple, Laloux has been closed for almost 13 months after suffering a burst pipe in January 2018 and subsequently undertaking an extensive rebuild; the restaurant’s Facebook page and website remain active and the team tells Eater that a reopening is still planned, though no date is known." - Tim Forster
My visit today was okay. My visit to the hospital is located downtown and as usual driving down you get a lot of traffic and going back home is more traffic. The hospital is pretty new with 15 levels of different specialties located.
I’m still testing the waters to reassure myself if the medical help needed is being sorted. Fingers crossed and cheers everyone

Really nice and helpful and friendly people. They helped us find my boyfriend's lost bag when he went to frosh. More caring than other organizations

Finding parking was difficult due to all the construction. It's insane, the constructions around seem to never end. Once in the hospital, it went very smoothly. Benevoles are everywhere helping and making sure we find the place we need to in this hudge hospital. The staff is also very nice and professional.

the residence did not look clean. Broken toilet paper holder, mouldy, very warm, curtains were half on, sad looking living room, very difficult to open main lock and then bedroom lock, so many things to mention. Glad it's only a month course!

My university, amazing place to study. Extremely accessible by subway, in the middle of the business street of St Catherine. Many restaurants and pubs all around. Very nice sports facilities. Good computer center and a great library. The faculty are extremely nice and helpful. The students are all friendly and they make you feel welcome. The academic level is very high and competitive.

I was going to meet a friend here over the weekend; the doors were locked he told me his professor was exiting enter when she opens from inside. A white woman with white hair was walking towards the door she saw me and quickly turned back , i called my friend and told him so he ran to the door and opened it for me. On our way inside we encountered this professor and he asked her nicely why she turned away - her response: she looked at me then said “i am a conservative to me opening the door felt like i was opening doors to more immigration hope you understand…” Seriously WHAT?! We just stood there in shock. If this speaks for the quality of profs at uqam i have to give one star i am still in shock that she felt that was ok to say to me just because I’m brown.

L'Universté du Quebec à Montreal is a nice University. I visited the campus a few times and it is one of the most simplistic campuses I have ever been too.
They have so many unique and cool programs that the others don't have. What I heard is that it is a good university if the program you want portrays to what you want.
The location is nice since it is located where Berri-UQAM station is and they have an underground city where you can access some buildings and classes.
The university is pretty similar to Concordia. They both have similar programs, they are both in downtown and have campuses that similar to each other.
From what I heard from others. It is a decent University. The same platform and set up as you guessed it Concordia.
The campus near Place Des arts in a nice touch and close to downtown as well and it feels like a typical college or American University for its design.
The main campus feels a bit old and run downed. They need to renovate as soon as possible and make it 2021 since most of the buildings feel old and not updated enough.
I hope they promote Zero waste, Zero Carbon Emissions, Carbon free and be environmentally sustainable and adaptable to climate change A.S.AP.
At the end of the End of the day, regardless of choice. It does not matter where you get your education from. All should be honored and privileging to have attended this University and get their education from it and Vice Versa.
God Bless. For the Glory of God 🙏 🤲
