UNLV Food Pantry

It wasn't bad. Though, their options were sort of slim pickings. As I understand it from one of the staff, they apparently have quite a lot more choices in the beginning part of the week. I came today, on a Thursday, when they apparently were nearing the end of their selections. I was told if I came on a Monday or Tuesday, I would be surprised because they generally have a lot more options to choose from. Likewise, they didn't have any perishable items, like raw meats or eggs or anything like that. But I'm grateful, overall, for the few items I was able to retrieve!

Super nice and helpful staff. Has more than just food, they have hygiene products and books too! Very helpful for out of state students like myself who struggle to find employment to buy groceries with due to having to return home for winter break. Only issue I have is that it’s a pretty far walk from the dorms in this kind of heat, I wish it was a little closer

So I googled food pantry near me because I haven’t eaten the entire day before. Upon my arrival an hour early. Being as though they open doors at noon, I had time to check reviews here on google. That’s when I noticed this is only for UNLV students and staff. But then this beautiful woman name carmin stepped out and I asked her. Excuse me ☝🏾 is this only for students? She replied yes and staff @ UNLV. I then stated I’m not a student or staff but I’m very hungry. Carmin replied are you? Hold on. She then came out with an abundance of items I am enjoying as I post this review. I don’t encourage anyone going outside of the rules nor is this a post promoting anyone to arrive there expecting food. I am just simply showing my appreciation for this amazing establishment not turning a hungry man down. Thank you so much Carmin I appreciate you beautiful.

I come here Wednesday at Noon. But I think I'm going to start coming on Thursdays now. Carmen who runs the place is really cool. The staff is very helpful and you can tell that they really like to help students,... You can ask them questions on nutrition or just get food. There's a section of unlimited items and then you just go shopping it's very organized.

Only downside is the hours are hard because my class schedule interferes. I love that they have pads & tampons. Especially the natural ones that aren’t bad for your body! Toiletries are so important. I really love when they have fresh produce, and even proteins. It helps a lot to be able to use this resource.

Is food bank for UNLV students and family and workers on campus not for all persons . I don't belong to compus but they was very kind to serve me with a 2 bags of good food and with list I can get more food for help. Young students who work there is very kind nice and willing to help . Thank you UNLV food bank 💖
