The New Atlanta Restaurant Openings You Should Know About - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"A new taqueria comes to Buckhead inside the Alliance business complex off Lenox Road. This Mexican street food restaurant bucks the stereotype of pricey Buckhead menus with everything clocking in under $20. They have a full bar and frozen margaritas, so we assume it will be a hot spot for the business crowd after 5pm." - juli horsford, jacinta howard

Uno Mas Taqueria - Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"This Mexican restaurant sits in the lobby of One Alliance Center in Buckhead, bordered on all sides by towering, oblong-shaped office buildings. And, understandably so, their menu attracts the business crowd for lunch and after-work frozen margaritas to celebrate the end of another day of successfully punching the clock. Anything you order comes out with impressive speed, so you can throw down a run-of-the-mill chicken quesadilla and be back in your cubicle before your boss even realizes you’re gone. That zippiness points to some sacrifice in quality, though. The thin strips of cold carne asada taste like they might have been cooked via microwave and ruin an otherwise good fajita bowl. And salsas are inexplicably sour. Even if these dishes aren’t exactly crushing their KPI’s, the counter-service Mexican spot works for anyone employed in the vicinity of the Alliance buildings, especially because most of the menu items cost less than $15. But no need to go out of your way to eat here. Food Rundown Pollo Sandwich This is the best order. For starters, it comes out hot (the kitchen generally struggles with temperature control) and the chicken chunks' smoky char meshes with the grilled peppers and onions, and cheese. Plus, the bread is soft and holds it all together nicely. Fajita Bowl Our second favorite dish. You get a hefty portion of rice, black beans, and fresh pico with corn and lettuce. Either skip the protein on this (the vegetable option is only $10) or go with the chicken. But just know that the carne asada is rubbery and cold. photo credit: Juli Horsford Quesadilla Once again, the chicken is the winner here. Otherwise, this is a pretty standard quesadilla with cheese, onions, and peppers. Tacos There are five taco options, which each cost $5, and none of them are really worth an order. The portions are tiny (only a third of the flour tortillas are full with proteins and toppings), the meats are cold, and the salsas are sour. Skip these. I work in One Alliance and was so happy to see them open. I was frankly skeptical based on past restaurants or the two in the area (Mission and Little), this blows them away. It’s a little pricier than your normal office cafe but totally worth it. Atmosphere is great, food is over the top good and the drinks are spot on. The staff is equally as good focusing on service. I will definitely continue frequenting Uno Mas. Note, the portions are big! This is the Carne Asada sandwich, incredible and lunch for 2 days!

A great addition to the One Alliance Office Building. The food is consistently good, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I interacted with several team members, including the manager, and everyone was professional and welcoming.

This restaurant is a perfect addition to the One Alliance building! The food is soooo flavorful my picky self has tried things I usually wouldn’t eat. Great prices, great atmosphere, and the consumer service is top tier.

Ordered 3 tacos on corn tortillas. Received corn tortillas that weren’t even cooked or warmed, and they were filled with wet chicken (I ordered the steak but that’s what I got) so as soon as I picked up the cold tortilla it ripped and fell apart. Worst tacos I’ve ever had. Street corn dip was really good. The restaurant interior looks very nice, but I will never order tacos from them again.

The food was flavorless! Pricey and not good. Not even the salsa, cheese dip or guac

Yelp
The food and service was excellent! Micheal, the bartender/server, was personable without being intrusive. Food was delicious and well seasoned! They even have the Green Egg on the patio were you can smell the delicious meats before opening the door! Definitely one to come back for breakfast, lunch and early dinner!
