When you think about a pizza that costs 30 dollars, I imagine that a few things come to mind, for me, two things. First I bet it's good, and second I bet the service is good. Unfortunately I'll never know about the pizza because of the service. So after a great day in Boston I decided to treat my family and some guests with uno takeout (specifically curbside to go), as this was a service marketed as very convenient I decided to try it out---I'll jump to the lesson learned- epic fail.
When you arrive the parking spaces are clearly labeled curbside to go (nice), and there is a little sign in your spot that asks you to text "UNOs and your name" so that your server may bring food and take the money (60 dollars in my case for two pizzas). Still this seemed very promising and I was ready for my wonderful pizza. Others came and went and I still didn't have my food and no one came to take my money. So - I texted again about 15 minutes after the first text...and again I wanted. All and all I texted 4 times (see attached screenshots over the course of 45 minutes), no one ever came to acknowledge me, even though others came and went. Finally I gave up and sent another text (see screenshot). I then drove off, but it doesn't end there.
About 20 minutes after (and 5 minutes from home) I get a call saying my pizza was ready and they were sorry for the delay. I asked why no one came to acknowledge my presence or take my money- no response. The caller then asked if I was picking it up, I replied that I wanted to speak to a manager, the then said your order is cancelled, and then hung up on me. No goodbye, no manager, no pizza, just a rude person and horrible experience. UNOs - you could do better, real service let down.
Review updates- manager was good about tracking me down and making this right. I appreciate his determination
