Chuck E. Cheese Will Phase Out Its Animatronic Band | Eater Chicago

"I noted that pizza makers at Pizzeria Uno have apparently deviated from the original recipe: the biggest surprise was that the original’s dough 'was caky and, frankly, not that deep,' indicating Uno’s deep-dish has evolved from that earlier version." - Ashok Selvam

I came across this spot while visiting the Indian temple nearby and decided to stop in for lunch. After checking out the menu, I noticed they’re known for their deep dish pizzas, though we went with the thin crust this time — and it turned out to be really tasty! The star of the meal for me was the cheesy garlic bread — crispy underneath, soft inside, and full of flavor. Truly the kind of comfort food you don’t forget easily. Our server, Jordan, made the experience even better. He was polite, attentive, and handled everything with genuine care. One of our dishes, the French onion soup, wasn’t quite right, and he took it off the check without any fuss. Overall, this place has great food, amazing service, and a welcoming feel. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping in for a meal — you’ll leave happy and satisfied!

If you come to UNO, I HIGHLY recommend you try the pickle fries with spicy ranch, it's smooth good!!!!! Also, try the Margherita pizza, it's amazing! I definitely would come back again! Happy Halloween! 🎃

Uno's is a great family restaurant. It has a great vibe for families and you often see many families in there. There are large booths for families of all sizes and they can even merge tables together if you have a very large group. Even though it's advertised as a pizzeria, there menu is varied and they also offer healthier options, with less grease and more veggies. What's fun about the place is that they have a great neighborhood sports vibe. They offer all sorts of craft beers on tap as well as have TVs all over the place with different types of sports games playing. The staff work hard and are very accommodating to any requests. I highly recommend them! Especially for families with small children.

Google
We had ordered a pizza from this place yesterday and completely disappointed. The pizza was not properly baked. If you check the pictures, the back of the pizza was under cooked , you can literally taste raw flour while eating. On top of this, the pizza was extremely thin , the pizza sauce was not evenly distributed. The amount of cheese was disappointing. At many areas I was not able to see the cheese. very poor taste and quality of pizza.

Google
The food as is expected. Like to go here once in a while. Brownie bowl is what actually brings us in. The craving for a Chicago style pizza is there as well and they delivered with very good service by our staff. The atmosphere can be improved, but the food and service made up for it.

Google
First time at Uno. I was pleasantly surprised by their happy hour prices. We had the Detroit Style pizza and it was excellent and quite filling. Our Long Island Iced Tea and Margarita were also exceptional. We will be back.

Yelp
I had been craving an Unos deep dish for a while. The Unos near my house closed. I made the trek out to Hamilton and got my fix. Yes, its a chain, but the pizza has its own taste and style. I ordered a personal deep dish with sausage, hamburger, pepperoni and extra cheese. Along with a Pepsi to chase it all down. My deep dish craving was satisfied! This Unos is kinda the only thing going on in this complex aside from the movie theater nearby. My waiter was very friendly and down to earth. This restaurant is clean and well maintained. Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here. Ample parking is available in the parking areas around the restaurant property.

Yelp
Uno @ Hamilton, NJ Had a late dinner Thursday. Our waiter was very pleasant and came by quickly to take our order. The pilsner draft beer was refreshing. The mushroom burger came out well done as requested and uno deep dish pizza came out fully cooked.

Yelp
HAMILTON TWP: Uno Pizzeria & Grill is famous for their Chicago style pizza and their location in Hamilton has dog friendly outdoor seating! We really enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance! The outdoor seating is spacious, covered by shade sails, and even has a TV to watch the game. The pizza is deep delish style and they offer different selections and you can craft your own. They even have gluten free and vegan pizzas and the vegan cheeseburger deep dish was excellent! Seafood, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and other entrees round out the menu for all tastes. Wine, cocktails, and an incredible beer list, with local and regional options, are available to pair with your meal. Brie loved watching a butterfly in the garden and they also have freshly grown mint for their cocktails.

Yelp
Truly cant say enough about Uno Pizzeria and Grill. My family and I have never had a less than great experience over the years. Between eating at the restaurant or picking up, the food has always been excellent. Their Detroit style Pizza and Chicago deep dish are always on point. Their wings are meaty and delicious. Their meatballs though; truly some of the better meatballs I've ever had. They also have a great drink list if you're into the craft beer scene. One thing I'll also note is I've hosted multiple fantasy football drafts at this restaurant and theyve been great every single time. There is a private room that they give you and their service each time has been attentive, and incredibly effecient.

Yelp
Grabbed dinner on the outside patio yesterday evening. Lots of available seating and the building shades the patio area nicely from the sunshine so it wasn't too hot (not full sunshine ). Our server was also the bartender out there and she hustled around taking care of her outside tables and a couple at the bar. She was reasonably attentive and super personable/friendly. We ordered the shrimp and crab dip appetizer which was served with bread toasts to dip into it. It came nice and hot and was quite tasty. For dinner we ordered an individual deep dish cheese pizza, a dinner sized Cobb salad, and the Deep Dish Ravioli "Lasagna". Pizza was excellent, the Cobb salad lacked a little in flavors although the bacon bits (real sliced bacon) were a highlight, and the ravioli lasagna was fantastic. Cobb salad was enormous which was also a plus. All in all the food was probably a 3.5 but the ambiance of the outdoor patio seating and service was a 4.5 so I'll rate it as 4.0 stars. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if we're in the area.

Yelp
I want to praise this pizzeria, it is sooooooooo awesome!!! Thanks to Shawne for her kindness and patience - and her excellent service which is most important to me. This is a great spot, and I look forward to visiting again. Very nice environment and family friendly, I plan to return with my grandchildren. Thanks for the awesome service and pizza.

Yelp
Unfortunately stuck on the perimeter of the long defunct AMC multiplex in Hamilton, pizza orphan Uno doesn't get the top-of-mind respect or customer traffic it deserves. Close your eyes and you just might think you're back in Chicago for a moment enjoying a very robust deep dish pizza. Okay you're not... but the enviable comparison still stands. After many years, I've reluctantly become a fan of the regional, less is more, tomato pie. Luckily at Uno, they continue to cleave to the more is more Chicago pizza gospel. If I had any sense, I'd visit this church far more often. An easy five stars.

Yelp
I haven't been to an UNO's in years and was skeptical about going to a big chain like this but we really enjoyed our dinner. We'd been out all day and were starving and were not disappointed with the options on the menu, the service, or the quality of the food. We got salads to start and two different pizzas (thin crust margherita and deep dish cheese) and they were all great. Besides the salads and pizzas I was also thinking about trying one of the burgers or appetizers, so will have to come back. But overall, had a really nice meal at UNO's so definitely recommend.

Yelp
Pizza was fairly good for a non Chicago location. We ordered a large classic Chicago to share. I actually called ahead to have them start preparing the pizza because I'm used to these things taking 45min to prepare. Turns out that in the cities other than Chicago they "pre bake" the crust so it only takes like 20min. The crust didn't taste that much different to what I've had in Chicago, so I'd say that the time savings was worth it. The pizza had quite a lot of sausage. It was meant to have extra cheese too, although I thought that it was fairly normal for a deep dish. I could have done with a little more. Service was friendly. Large parking lot out the front.

Yelp
Uno in Hamilton has a great special on Tuesdays where kids eat free. They are also very accommodating to wheat allergies and have a gluten free pizza option that they also include in the "kids eat free" promo. And they are accommodating for other food allergies, as well. For being a chain restaurant they have a very extensive and every changing craft beer selection on tap. The manager Chris went above and beyond when my son wrote a letter to Uno as a class project. Chris wrote him back a very detailed and personal letter which was very nice. Sure there's much better pizza and food in Hamilton, but this Uno goes above and beyond with the community and welcoming kids.

Yelp
Severely understaffed. I door dashed a salad and some wings, and the app told me it was ready for pick-up. I go there and wait an additional 25 minutes for my order. They didn't even throw in anything extra for the ridiculous wait. I love their salads (the ones I've tried), but their wings leave much to be desired and they gave me the wrong sauce, at that. We ate there in person before too and the pizza was yummy, but this was a year ago. Things have changed. I only gave them three stars because I had a better experience with them in the past.

Kathi W.

Yelp
Last nights visit to Uno Pizzeria was such a disappointment. We waited about 20 or more minutes for our server to take our order and the dining room was almost empty. I ordered calamari which was very, very crispy and hard on the teeth. We ordered cheese and broccoli soup that was very thick and lumpy and not smooth and velvety like it is supposed to be. My tough rib eye steak was less than 1/4 inch and had the density more like a sirloin steak. I would not recommend ordering this steak! Our waiter also walked by us for 15 minutes while we waited for our check and at that time he only had 2 other tables. I just figured a Sunday is not a good day to eat there.

Yelp
On the second anniversary of my being declared cancer free, on my way home from the doctor's office, I once again stopped off at one of my favorite spots, Uno Deep Dish pizza. With lunch, soup, deep dish pizza, and my only beer of the year, I causally mentioned my celebration to the sweet and friendly waitress. She thanked me for sharing it with her, and for choosing Uno. My special lunch was on the house! Love this place!

Yelp
This is one of my husband's favorites cause he can get his pizza just the way he likes it. I'm very fond of their salads. They also have a good beer list and the staff is wonderful.

Twanda K.

Yelp
we had appetizers and drinks. The food and drinks were great. Our server in bar area was not! I told her that we weren't in a rush and she replied, pay your bill because my shift is over. You can start a new one. Why would we have our credit card ran twice? She stormed away and started talking about us to bartender, we could hear her. Let me add she told them that we were the people that kept them there forever and tipped like shit! As a waitress she should learn to shut her mouth and not talk about people that pay her bills. I believe her name was Alexa or Alexis something like that. We will be back but request not to have her. Not sure if she was so rude because she is white and I am Indian but I felt she had racial tension. Beware of that server
google avatar

Yelp
Sat at the bar during happy hour. Great bartender - low priced and delicious drinks. Inexpensive happy hour menu. Personal pizza was great and the chicken Caesar salad wow! It's a hike for us but we will DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Yelp
i found this place when I was visiting the Indian temple so we decided to have lunch there . We looked up the menu , It looks like they are known for their deep dish . we didn't get to try their deep dish pizza but we got the thin crust which was pretty good as well. The cheesy garlic bread was the best of them all in my opinion . It was crispy on the bottom and soft inside. The waiter Jordan was extremely friendly, attentive and understanding . We ordered a French onion soup and it came out bad. He was able to and gladly took it off the bill. Definitely recommend my yelpers to try out this place if they are in the area !

Yelp
When looking for your fill out Chicago style deep dish pizza, Uno's is your spot to go in the Mercer County area. The pizzas are good and they have great lunch specials. They used to also have great sliders, but I think those have been discontinued.
google avatar

Patrick C.

Yelp
Uno is the best restaurant in the area (for me). The food is so good and the wait time isn't long at all depending on what you order. Waiters are very nice and didn't mess up my order. The inside is so cool not dirty at all.

Shelby S.

Yelp
someone ate our food... I was hoping for a tasty meal after waiting for 20 minutes, but when we got out to-go food, IT WAS EATEN!?!?
google avatar

Lismarie G.

Yelp
I enjoyed eating here. Everything was delicious and flavorful. There was even enough for leftovers which I love. So worth the price. Each item I had was good and my favorite was the pizza. Being deep dish it was full of stuff and the flavors meshed well together. I like ricotta on my pizza so this was a good blend with the meatballs. I also liked that it was chunks of meatball too and not a big round ball. Server was friendly and the vibe was chill. Not busy either when we went around 4:30.

Yelp
Amazing! My husband and I were reminiscing on places we used to eat at as children and remembered Uno Pizzeria! I quickly found the only one within a reasonable distance from our home and we made the trip, which was a million times worth it! We started with the spinach and artichoke dip 10/10. I love spinach dips and have tried them at almost every restaurant I've ever gone out too and this was by far my favorite! Then I had the bbq chicken flatbread pizza which again was 10/10 delicious and my husband had the meat lovers deep dish another 10/10! I super recommend Uno, and I'm so sad there isn't one closer to our home so we could visit more often.
google avatar

Ric T.

Yelp
This is a less popular chain though excellent with their offerings. We arrived one evening to get a bite to eat on the trek home some 40 miles away. We were greeted by Ryan at the bar who was so damn likable. We all tried various brews and ordered our meal after a spell. Food is really tasty here, somewhat surprising for a chain that I haven't been to for a decade. You can't eat everywhere. There is a large diner-type menu, so take your time while having a drink to make your decisions. The salads are hugh and the bar pizza was excellent with balsamic vinegar drizzled on the edges...different. The place was super clean. Ample parking.
google avatar

Maayan A.

Yelp
UNO is a restaurant that is vary gluten free friendly which is great! They have good pickup and the same is for the prices. sadly I can only give UNO a 3 out of 5 because of the meal portion which is considerably small, but over all UNO is pretty good and I would recommend it if you haven't tried it yet.
google avatar

NY G.

Yelp
The food is good with generous portions and the service is great. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the place is run down. I was sat at a booth that looked like it has seen some things. It was very uncomfortable and looked like it was falling apart. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was a leak and water was everywhere on the floor and it was dirty. The workers also use this bathroom, and they are handling your food. Think of that. Clean up your act (literally), you can do better. You are the only Uno's in Manhattan, is this how you want to represent your brand?
google avatar

Limi L.

Yelp
I was very excited when they have outdoor seating! It's a must for me during the summer since I enjoy the fresh air. I wasn't craving deep dish pizza but I wanted to see want they have since I rarely go to Uno. I got the boneless chicken bites, half spicy buffalo flavor and the other half honey bbq, a personal size deep dish pizza, the grilled shrimp and sirloin with fries and broccoli, and lastly, the ooey-gooey dough bites. I enjoyed the wings and the two entrees. The steak was cook mild, very delicious. I decided to get the deep-dish pizza after all. The deep-dish pizza wasn't bad. The personal size was just the right amount. I didn't like the dessert as much, was a little disappointed. The dough bites were hard and weren't doughy at all. Couldn't finish it. The service was good. Didn't wait too long for the food. Would come back next time to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
Nothing to write about this place, except that I am not a fan. However my expectations may be unrealistic.

Riley M.

Yelp
I haven't eaten in here in a little while but I can remember always enjoying myself. The takeout i can say with absolute certainty is fantastic. 9.99$ for a sizeable personal pizza and a soup or salad is a deal that should not be taken for granted. Most fast food meals will run you more than that and are not enough to satisfy. The pizza is delicious and so are the sides. I will definitely be back for this lunch deal.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
The food is always spectacular!!! We got the 4 cheese and pesto personal pizza, added mushrooms and meatballs. It's soooo good!!!!! Waitresses are always friendly! Love it every time we go!!!
google avatar

Yelp
YOOO!!! This was really good! Idk what happened but their food has improved greatly!!!

Yelp
The atmosphere here was very nice. A wholesome place to enjoy upscale pizza with the whole family. The service was impeccable. A greeter met us at the dot and opened it for us and we were promptly seated in a Friday night. Our individual server also did not miss a beat. She was able to suggest some options for us and she was knowledgeable about the restaurants menu. The food was great. I thoroughly enjoyed my deep dish pizza and it really felt like that pizza was made with me on mind. It is in a great location right off of 295 with ample parking. It shares the same strip mall with an AMC theater so it is in the perfect location for a movie follow up. Me and my fiancée will definitely be back soon!
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
I stopped in on a Friday night with my fiancé. The goal was dinner and drinks before going to a nearby movie. We were immediately seated. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant was clean and calm. We ordered a veggie extravaganza pizza and the numero uno pizza. Delicious! For drinks, I ordered the promotional rose sangria. Loved it! We will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
I'm hungover and needed appropriate hangover food, but I'm vegan, and the vegan options are seriously limited here. But, I headed the app of dashing foods to doorsteps and searched for vegan. Uno pizza popped up in my search, so I gave it a look. I decided deep-dish pizza and cheesy bread would really help to cure the self-inflicted pain in my head and stomach. They had a vegan cheese burger pizza, which did not sound at all appetizing, so I completely changed it. However, they didn't have a vegan cheesy bread option, so I called to see if it could veganized. I spoke with Vicky, (sp? Sorry if it's incorrect selling. I didn't want to sound like a creep and as how to spell it ) she wasn't sure, so she checked with her manager. They were more than willing to help me and I now have my vegan pizza and cheesy bread. Vicky is amazing, and I so much appreciate her helping me to make this happen.

Yelp
I've been eating at Uno, since at least the mid 80's when they opened in NJ. Visited many locations over the last 40 yrs. We have some long time favorite menu items. At one point there was a location walking distance from my office in Jersey City and I ate there at least weekly for many years. We recently dined at the Hamilton location. The food was adequate. The service was excellent. It was surprising to see they charge a "2.5% credit card transaction fee" to redeem an UNO GIFT CARD. Of course there was no warning that a "credit card transaction fee" will be applied to redeeming a gift card. That's double dipping, because they also charged a 2.5% credit card transaction fee to purchase a gift card. Now that we used our gift card, we will never ever return to any UNO's. I'm not comfortable rewarding bad behavior. Wonder what other deception is a part of their business model. You've been warned.
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
Meal as delivered did not match what was on the menu. Waiter acknowledged this, but would not make any changes, Chicken on plate was grossly overcooked, almost inedible. Will not return, very disappointing.
google avatar

Vince S.

Yelp
One of these days I'll try the deep dish, though it might cause my Trenton tomato pie loving ancestors to disown me. I have sampled other things over the course of half a dozen visits, and most recently had the bacon cheeseburger. It stood up to or surpassed several other chain restaurants, both in taste and quality of beef. My slight complaint is that it was slightly over the requested medium, but to be fair the party was thinner than some places( still 8 oz they claim) The fries that came with were also very good, best I've had at any chain in sometime( onion rings as well) They seem to be stepping up their bar program, there were many good choices of draught beers, with local being the focus. There are some good lunch specials and happy hour promotions, and the customer count indicated that this is a popular business lunch destination. There are few chains I will ever be a fan of, but Uno comes pretty close. I'll eventually be back to go deep, 3.5 not just DDP Yelps

Aanchal V.

Yelp
So I've been wanting to go this place for the longesttt time and finally got to dine-in. The deep dish chicago style pizza is too die for! I did create my own and man did I not regret. For appetizers, I have tried the cheesy bread and the artichoke and spinach dip! They are both very tasty! All I know if I'm definitely coming back again and trying other things on the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall everything was really good and efficient server was very good didn't have to wait for her at all drinks on time food on time check on time Food was perfect maybe I was just hungry but in all honesty it hit the spot !

Yelp
The Uno in Hamilton is different than other Uno's. The bartenders are beyond amazing, they all work really hard and all tend to stay at this location for a long time. It's not a revolving door of different bartenders. Nice to see a familiar face.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service as always.... Enjoyed indoor dining once again
google avatar

Kolee S.

Yelp
Great place for fans of craft beer ! They have beer dinners and breakfasts (which are simply delicious) and a wide variety on tap daily! I have sat in dining area, bar booths and the bar - never having less than the best service. The menu has a variety of vegitarian, healthy and gluten free so it makes easy to come to Unos with groups friends! Burgers are amazing, steak is better than Outback, onion rings are a must, i prefer the Flatbread but regular pie is good, herb chicken is yummy, broccoli is the best, and on and on and on of options in yummilisciousness!

Yelp
I haven't been to an Uno in years, but with this one so close to my gym my wife and I decided to grab takeout the other day. I've always liked them, and this visit reignited that - not sure why it's been so long. I know that people can sometimes be hesitant to visit chains, and sometimes I'm guilty of that, but this is not a place that you should worry about. Their food is consistently good, not typical chain restaurant quality at all. On top of that, they have good prices and friendly staff. I also like the indoor atmosphere and will hopefully eat in restaurant soon, but like I said my latest visit was just to grab our food to-go. There's really not many places to get good Chicago-style deep dish pizza around, so we snagged a deal and each made our own personal size pie. Mine with mushrooms, goat cheese, and spinach was packed with flavor and our favorite of the two, although both were very tasty. Aside from the sauce and toppings, the crust was very nice as well, even after a half hour car ride home. I'm sure the pizza is even better fresh out of the oven while eating there. We'll be visiting again soon to grab a table and perhaps try some of their suggested pies.
google avatar

Leena S.

Yelp
I'm not one for chain restaurants and generally stay away from them for the most part. But, a friend was having his birthday celebration here, so I gave it a try. I tried to order a healthy meal and, surprisingly, there appeared to be a few items that would fit the bill. I settled on the Herb infused chicken, which came with the choice of two sides. I ordered the whole grain rice with cranberries and broccoli as my sides. As far as food goes, the chicken was good (although the portion size of the chicken seemed on the smaller end). The rice was tasty and the broccoli was broccoli. Since my expectations were low, overall I was quite happy with the entree.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
The staff here is always friendly and accommodating. A god little spot to have a nice lunch. Reasonably priced.

Paul S.

Yelp
Pizza was ordered on line for curbside pickup, I arrived 10 minutes early and called the hostess stand to advise my presence and parking slot number and order name. I waited when the pizza was 20 minutes later than the appointed pickup time I went inside. They had it on a rack getting cold for m e to come in. It was cold and not edible when I received it. I like my pizza very hot fresh from the oven. They would not make a fresh one. I may not be back.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
I am not a frequent patron of chain restaurants, but when a group of friends decided on Pizzaria Uno after the gym I was up for it. F and I arrived early and sat at the bar. Melanie, our bartender was so pleasant and helpful. When I asked the difference between a prickly pear margarita and a pomagranite margarita her description was spot on. I chose the prickly pear and was very pleased. F was loving his Speedway Stout. Once our group was seated, our server Matt, was right on it...taking appy and drink orders. His service was friendly and attentive. As far as the food goes, it's your typical chain fare. But that being said it was well prepared, delivered promptly and tasty. My favorite was the wedge salad. F and I had enough for take home. So, on the whole a very good experience and perfect for a close to the gym spot with something for everyone.

Yelp
So glad our colleagues took us to Uno's for lunch while we were visiting New Jersey! Big open parking lot - follow the signs to exit or you'll never get out! Salad & Entrée Lunch Combo ($8.99): Honey crisp salad with a deep dish pizza of the day on multigrain. I was absolutely amazed of the portion we received for the price!! The honey crisp "lunch sized salad" was enough to make me content; the salad comes with a breadstick. The "pizza of the day" was the Chicago style pizza topped with tomato chunks and sausage. Uno's might be the best crust I have ever eaten... and it was multigrain! What?! Perfectly crisp crust - Heaven! Paired perfectly with the mango ice tea.

Hemi E.

Yelp
Best pizza. Chicago classic and numero uno are my favorites. Fast friendly service and a great bar.

Yelp
We don't come here that often, but I was pleasantly surprised on this visit how darn good the mushroom and aged Cheddar flatbread, mighty tasty. 5 stars for that alone. I started the above review years ago when we'd go to the AMC theater close by. Well, we don't go anymore, opting for the cushy seats at other AMCs and Regal theaters. Well, we're back after an early day off from work. I had the steak and shrimp with roasted veggies and steamed broccoli (avoiding those carbs). My steak was a little tough, but, believe it or not, I like my steaks that way. I had a generously poured Cabernet for $4.99 ($4.00) happy hour. Hubby opted for a deep dish pizza, which he inhaled. Then after dinner, we decided we weren't through (hey, I missed lunch over a business meeting!), we ordered a pretzel (check out the pic!) and meatballs ( under $4). Extensive local beer menu ( they used to sell grinders, check it out if still available - I bought a beautiful blue glass grinder years ago), happy hour menu, drink menu, I thought I was at the library, ie lots of choices. They're a chain, but not bad for a drink and for some good food.
