I love unrefined! The sandwiches and cupcakes are addictive. I always go to the one on Sherry Ln and the women who work there are so lovely and sweet. I appreciate the customer service as much as the delicious food.

I love a bakery with few but delicious options. Have been here a few times and never a wait, easy too park. In and out with vegan goodies on short notice. They also have paleo, keto and gluten free but I have never had these on account we are vegan.

I have been here many times. It’s safe for me to eat at or order holiday treats for! I have celiac disease so it’s a go to for a dedicated bakery. Gluten free safe! It is pricey, but I didn’t have to bake, and labor and ingredients are expensive! Really nice staff. Lots of recommendations from them. I got a type of coffee cake, it was fantastic! There were lots of items ready to take. I’ll be back!

Great food and kind staff! When my online order was messed up because of a website error they gave me my order for free! I can't recommend this company enough because the staff cares about its customers. I was really upset about not being able to get the food I had planned on eating for the week. It was an technical error so nobody's fault but still would have made my week really difficult to find new meals for me to eat last minute. I am so thankful they gave me my food despite the issue. Since I had been driving around for 30-45 minutes to their other location, they threw in some extra free desserts to make me feel better about the inconvenience. I can't thank unrefined bakery enough!

This place is so cute! All gluten free, some dairy free, and vegan. All food was delicious! I give this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Unrefined Bakery has delicious cupcakes and provides exceptional service for large orders! Always a pleasure to order from them.

Service was good and cake was ready on time. I requested a GF/DF cake and they accommodated so that was nice. Sadly the cake was not good at all, dry and little flavor. I do appreciate a baker who can accommodate dietary needs along with decorating it accordingly but I won’t be using them for future needs based on flavor.

I just want to shout out Natasha for being the kindest and most accommodating person. She goes above and beyond and I appreciate her helping my husband and I. If you have dietary restrictions or any requests, Unrefined Bakery finds a way to make it happen.

I stumbled onto this place with a sweet tooth. I'm not gluten free or any special diet I just wanted some sweets. Great selection and window display gave me plenty to drool over... I decided on the Loaded Monkey cupcake and a cookie. Did not disappoint and I'll be happy to return sooner than later!

We stopped into this location today for the first time. I was sad to see that the mckinney ave location is no longer there. It has apparently relocated to richardson. My mom is gf and theres not that many gf bakery options so every time she visits we have to stop in here at least once for treats! We loved our cupcakes. She got the chocolate and i got the lemon. I was disappointed with the lemon one- the cupcake itself was very light and moist but i wanted more lemon flavor in the cupcake and the frosting. Some lemon curd in the middle would be divine. Service is always great and i love looking around at all the great gf baked goods and treats they have available.

I called to place an order for a cake and for dinner rolls ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. I was told that the best plan was to just come by and see what they had in stock because they usually keep things in stock. So what is the deal with custom cakes or online ordering? Just a farce? Does that happen from a central kitchen? If so, perhaps the store staff could help redirect potential customers. At the very least, it would be nice if the staff would not mock a customer request and basically just say, call back a couple of days before and we'll see what we have available. Maybe other locations are better?? Not impressive to a potential first-time client.

I love that this bakery is gluten free, and soy free with many vegan options. I got the chocolate cake, chocolate frosting vegan cake for a friend/coworkers birthday. It was rich and moist, yet light. I love that you don't feel heavy after eating it, with it not having any of that high fructose corn syrup that traditional cakes have. Also, they have sandwiches and smoothies here. I haven't gotten to try those yet but it is a genius idea that it has so much to offer.

My husband spent days researching and reading reviews to find a ketogenic bakery that could bake and ship a birthday cake to our house for my 46th birthday. We live in Michigan and he knew the cake would need to ship, safely, in the hot July weather, and be strictly ketogenic for my dietary restrictions. The good: The cake, a three layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, did arrive to our house in great shape and it was frozen solid. It was so frozen in fact it took 12 hours for it to thaw out at room temperature after spending three days with UPS. The cake could have been dropped on the floor and still been in one piece - it was a solid brick of frozen cake. The bad: Along with the cake, my husband ordered two packs of chocolate whoopie pies. It was unbelievably thoughtful of him. The whoopie pies also arrived in great shape. They were not frozen when they arrived, however. The whoopie pies were not great. The cake was dry to the point of being hard around the edges and the chocolate flavor was almost non-existent. I'm wondering if the cake was both over-mixed and over-baked. The filling was greasy and heavy. The ugly: After the cake thawed we were able to cut two very small pieces and both noticed the frosting on the side of the cake was crumbling, which is a sign of improper mixing with cold butter or not enough liquid. Dry frosting is the worst. We both were excited about the cake because this was my birthday cake and I did not have to bake. Unfortunately, this excitement was short lived because this was the worst cake either of us had ever had. The cake tasted like what we imagine a wet sponge tastes like. There was no chocolate flavor. Chocolate cake can be tricky, but a bakery that specializes in very expensive ketogenic cakes should be able to bake at least a semi-edible chocolate cake. This entire cake ended up in the trash. It was not even semi-edible. If you need a bakery that is really good at freezing and shipping cakes, Unrefined is the bakery for you. If you need a bakery that will bake you a delicious chocolate ketogenic cake, keep looking.

Amazing gluten free bakery with lots of variety! Staff are very kind and helpful and give out samples. I got the carrot cake cupcake, the loaded monkey (banana bread cupcake with chocolate and peanut butter), and the sprinkle cookie sandwich! 10/10

I have finally found DELICIOUS again! Thank you, Unrefined Bakery, for giving my sweet tooth the boost that Celiac Disease has taken away!

It is super difficult to find gluten free and dairy free in the same product, so when I do, I am very happy. I have had their cupcakes, cookies, and pies. I am very particular about taste and texture. These are among the best that I have had. My other favorite bakeries are in Boston, Long Beach CA, and Nashville so having some in Dallas is a bonus.

Happy to see there were 5 vegan cupcake options and more cookie options! There's a large selection of a freezer with more vegan options. I ordered 3 cupcakes and all were amazing! Reasonably priced for specialty cupcakes at about $4-5.

We went all out at this place because I have celiac's and need gluten free and we were visiting Dallas and found this gem! All in all I would say great gluten free bakery choice! If your tastebuds are more accustomed to lots of super sugary and refined/processed sugars, then you might not be used to some of the flavors. I thought most the flavors were delicious! The fudge brownie cupcake was soooo good in consistency and moistness and flavor. The chocolate/sugar flavor was slightly muted, but I thought it was perfect. My boyfriend tried it and didn't care for it. Like I said, everything has a more natural taste there, which I loved. The sugar cookies tasted sooooo good! We also got a keto pizza and a gluten free pizza and they were both great! All in all I loved it. We also got cupcakes and the carrot with cream cheese icing was my favorite!!

I love this place, but I just picked up my $18 pizza and it was the size of my hand. I asked what had changed in the size and why the price didnt follow. They said they got a new crust, but there was nothing they could do for me for the price. Heads up if you are expecting what you used to get it is 1/3 of the size. The crust was mushy and the ends were completely burnt. Dissapointed they wouldnt do anything to help with how often I go and spend money with them.

The chocolate silk keto pie tasted like charcoal, the consistency was not good. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not buy it again.

For all you gluten free, soy free, egg free, dairy free, nut free, corn free, keto and more lifestyles in Dallas this little gem is awaiting your arrival. From specialty cakes, to pizza crusts, hamburger buns, muffins, cookies and more - whatever your dietary needs Unrefined has something for you! I live a gluten free, soy free lifestyle and really try to limit my corn intake and this is THE ONLY bakery in town that has a selection (meaning more than just a handful) of options to choose from. They even make sandwiches and have drinks to go as well for those if you looking for a GF/SF meal :) I recently noticed they now deliver via GrubHub which is just too convenient my personal faves are : the carrot cake cupcake, sprinkle cookies, ginger molasses cookies and blueberry muffins.

One of my favorite bakery experiences so far in Dallas. They have numerous options of cookies, pies, and cupcakes for vegan, gluten free, keto, and paleo diets, all beautifully labeled at the counter. It was my first time, and a staff member gladly showed me all the vegan items I was interested in. There were also free samples, and you get a free cookie on your first visit. I ended up getting the apple cinnamon cupcake and pumpkin chocolate chip cupcake ($5 each) which were very sweet for my tastes but I say that of most all desserts. There is even a rewards program but you'd be in for a long haul because you have to spend $100 to get one free cupcake. Overall, I'm very happy I stopped by, and there are some cute little shops nearby to check out while you enjoy your treat!

I am not a fan of Gluten Free deserts. They just never tasted like the "real" deal. But, Unrefined Bakery has created the new and improved Real Deal. Dang, I got one of their pies and wow. It was great. Their pies will please both parties- The Gluten Frees and The Glutens. I actually became a glutton. Ate the entire pie by myself in three sittings Excellent!

Everything here is very fresh! I love that their breads and pizza bread are frozen. I personally enjoy the banana bread with walnuts and their chocolate brownie muffins. Delicious!

Amazing selection of dairy-free and vegan options! They have a refrigerator of smaller and half-cakes that bailed me out when I was in a pinch and needed a vegan cake on short notice. Everything is very tasty. I do personally think that Reverie Bakeshop (another vegan bakery) has a broader selection off-the-shelf, but I believe that Unrefined has a similar number of options available when you pre-order.

You legit can't go wrong when you stop by this bakery. I don't go often, but happened to have a meeting around the corner so I knew I would have to drop in. Also, I'm pretty sure they always have something available to taste, at the counter, which is nice! Everything is gluten free (which is why I go) and there are plenty of options that cater to other good sensitivities & allergies. I went 2 days ago and they already had a variety of frozen pies and crusts to get you ready for the holidays. There were some really cute Halloween themed cookies & I got one for my kid. I ate both of the brown velvet cupcakes that I got, immediately after. I also purchased and in the last 2 days had a cornbread muffin (frozen section) & I had a cinnamon roll (frozen section) that was too good to be true. Everything is sweet enough without being too sweet, which I really like and there's a plethora of options to choose from, on hand. Whether you need something for yourself or are having guests that have dietary restrictions, you can't wrong if you venture into Unrefined.

We placed an order from Unrefined for a large order of cupcakes for a corporate event. Most attending did not have special diets but since the birthday girl did, we ordered various types. Everyone raved about the cupcakes! Unrefined was very professional, friendly and obviously great bakers. They even delivered on time. I highly recommend.

Quality made desserts (cookies, cakes, brownies, etc.) that are all made deliciously, gluten-free if preferred, or sugar-free. You could even custom order your own cake with which ever flavor you'd like - even sugar-free; in lieu of sugar, they use honey. I ordered a strawberry cake that was so delicious and you can certainly taste the honey but it wasn't overwhelming. They have a small frozen section that consisted of pies, muffins and cakes if in case you wanted to take it home and enjoy. For someone who is on a strict diet, Especially diabetic, this place puts a smile on the face!

I really hate to do this, but something is seriously wrong with my pie! As, I started to thaw it and slice it up. I noticed this black circle is not going away. I never bought a pie from here before and had no idea what is was. Maybe some decoration. But, after having my mom taste it. She said it tasty like wax from a candle that melted. Do you have wax, candles? But, whatever this black hole is unacceptable and I demand all inventory check for no further incident!

I am surprised Unrefined has a 4 plus review. My husband had a surprise gathering for my birthday. He asked a friend to find a gluten free birthday cake and she chose Unrefined. I've heard of this bakery but never tried it. My review, let me say no one ate it. It was a sheet cake (my husband paid $80 for it!) and NO ONE ATE IT! It tasted like it was made with straight coconut flour and the texture was dense and stiff (even thawed, and tried lightly microwaving it). The frosting was good! I threw the whole cake in the trash. Unfortunately, my family and friends tried gf for the first time and got the wrong ide of what a gluten free cake truly taste like. They are thanking God they don't have to eat gluten free. I wished my husband would have asked me and I could direct him to some AMAZING gluten free bakeries with moist, delicious gf cakes. So, for those looking for a great tasting, moist gluten free cake, go elsewhere. Maybe Unrefined's regular cakes are awesome...gluten free, not so much. I was disappointed but had a great time anyway (without cake). Try Pinch of Salt, Southlake (Abby Dumond)...awesome!

Wonderful selection of cupcakes, cookies, cakes and pies. They also have sandwiches made to order, which we ordered and ate outside on their spacious bench--they were really good. We also had 3 cupcakes, 3 cookies and tried their 3 samples offered that day--all were excellent, tasty and had great texture.

This is going to be a two part review. I was looking for birthday gift ideas for my lady, (I'm 40 years of age and I do not use the term girlfriend). I found this bakery via a Google search for "Vegan Treats", my lady has been a vegan for over 10 years. I read the reviews, went to the website, and gave all necessary information to place my order. The young lady who helped me with my order was very helpful! Very pleasant, and made great suggestions where needed! I wish I remembered her name. After we got all of the ins and outs covered I made a payment and received my receipt via email. So this is going to be a sweet surprise for my sweet vegan cutie pie!!!! Will write part 2 after delivery. Thanks a lot!!! Part 2 as promised... I ordered the Coconut Cream Cake and had 'Happy Birthday' written on it. The delivery was great, I gave the wrong address but they were able to get it out. My lady was very surprised! So we ate some cake later on that night and I gotta say...THAT CAKE WAS DELICIOUS!!!! I've never eaten a vegan cake before. This cake taste better than any birthday cake I've ever had! You need this in your life!!!

Love their dairy free and gluten free options. Everything I've tried is delicious. Some locations are better in customer service than others. Avoid the Fort Worth location, no parking space and multiple bad services. The Dallas locations are good.

It was a little overpriced, and the atmosphere was a bit empty. Pretty good food though.

I tend to zone out when anyone uses a term like "paleo" or "gluten-free." I know it is usually followed by the "Children of the Corn" facial expression worn by women in yoga pants who don't vaccinate their children, but wax eloquently on the pseudoscience of "grain belly" and ADHD. I'm afraid that, if I give yoginis too much attention, they will turn into Gwyneth Paltrow. I am afraid, very afraid, that just one more Gwyneth would bring such displeasure from every God that it would bring on the End of Days. How did I get to be so cynical (and so spot on about Paltrow)? My sister actually has celiac disease. She spends her life being terrified that a waiter or baker will confuse her with a food faddist, and feed her wheat. She doesn't need to go to the hospital again, which is what has happened when she accidentally ate gluten. For her birthday, I bought her two fantastic cupcakes here at Unrefined. I thought they were delicious and she didn't get sick. I also liked that they lacked some of the mealiness typical of products made with gluten free flour. Eat here. Help make the world safe from Gwyneth Paltrow.

Yummmm!! I have yet to try something here I didn't like. Having all these healthy options that taste soooo good is almost too good to be true. Vanilla cupcakes and their cookies are to die for! Even the silk pie and pecan pie is epic. Their prices are fair, they will try to meet your particular diet needs and they are consistently fresh. The only frustration would be not knowing if what you're about to pick up is going to be refrigerated or fresh off shelf. Thanks for feeding my belly!!

Omg I can't say enough about this place! This is Gluten-Free heaven! I tried their GF Pecan Pie for the first time and it was the BEST Pecan pie I have ever had. It was so sweet and had so much flavor. I was mad at myself for not ordering more once I got home! I'll definitely be back for more goodies

Stopped in recently with my heart set on TuLus, but as we pulled up, to our surprise, this new bakery was here and TuLus was nowhere to be found. Because we had traveled about 20+ miles, we decided to give them a shot. We ordered 5 cupcakes- chocolate and brown velvet, and a loaf of gluten free bread for $32. The cupcakes were just OK. The owners claimed they won the best taste award throughout Dallas and that theirs was the only GF. I'm sorry but I have a hard time believing that. My chocolate muffin tasted more like a bran/flax muffin and my son didn't even want to eat his brown velvet. We also found the icing tasted "gritty". The cupcakes were moist though. I felt they were a bit overpriced and overall left feeling the drive was not worth it. The bread is very tasty, but I'm going to purchase a $25 breadmaker and experiment making my own. The owners were very nice though and took time to allow us to taste bread products and educate us. Also, we found it strange that TuLus disappeared without notice and this place popped up, but served similiar food. Coincidental? Hmm... Where did TuLu's go??? I miss you!!!!

Love this place for offering delicious gluten free food. There desserts are moderately sweetened as not to be too sweet to eat just a bite. It's owned by a family who suffer with celiac and have dedicated their life to making delicious food thats free of gluten.

I was super excited to go to Unrefined Bakery and it was literally the last thing I did before I went to the airport, leaving Dallas. The store front is small but well marked and parking available right up front. I entered the store and there was only one other customer in front of me. Fine, no big deal. I noted that the lady behind the counter was uber friendly with the previous customer ( and the customer after me as well). However, when it came my turn... maybe she was tired... I dont really know... but she seemed mildly standoffish. Nothing too serious, its just really the first time that I felt out of place ( perhaps not exactly welcome?) in a gluten free haven. Anyway, I tried a sample of the brown velvet. Maybe, the non-sample version is different...However, the sample was a dry cupcake with slightly gritty unbuttercream frosting. I passed on buying that and instead went for the special. The special was like a vanilla cupcake with a brownie baked into the center and filled with a chocolate ganache. Glad I wasn't easily scared away, because this "special" was delicious. A moist cake/brownie and rich flavorful ganache, a gal couldn't ask for more. I also was pleasantly surprised to see that Unrefined makes sandwiches. I got the toasted 5 grain, roast beef, with avocado, tomato, and spinach. The bread was lightly toasted and sturdy. Overall this sandwich really carried me through my later flight. I would have given this place a 5, but the feeling that I wasn't exactly welcome in the store was a real deal breaker for me. Hopefully, your experience will be different, they really do have some great goodies!

Y'all... this place is awesome! And I'm not even gluten free. I needed a gluten free birthday cake for my mom and it was such short notice for them but they got it done for me and it was absolutely amazing. The whole family thought it was delicious.

I bought the vegan cupcakes for a friend's birthday and he raved so much that he wanted to go back the next day! My son and I have fallen in love with the the vegan Loaded Monkey. Great combination of flavors and not overly sweet. I also bought the mild "Chex" mix with nuts and it is soooo good. I wish that I had bought the bigger bag. Can't wait to try the pizza crust and other breads!!

I love this place!! We found them when we were looking for an allergen free cake for my daughter's birthday party, but they have so much more than cakes! Their cupcakes are amazing! They have cookies and sweet buns...I haven't even tried everything but this is the best bakery for anyone with allergies. I never have to worry and everything is SO delicious!

My goodness it is sooo hard to find Paleo treats that are pre-made AND delicious. This place has it going on and I enjoyed every bite. I tried 3 different flavors and loved each of them. The lady at the counter warned me about the texture of the lemon being different than the chocolate, which I appreciated. It wasn't that different at all actually, and I'm quite used to Paleo cupcakes being slightly different than normal cupcakes - because the ARE different. But, different isn't bad! Anyway, I loved it & just wish there was one closer to my house so I could go more often.

Their vegan cupcakes are sooooo good. They are kept frozen but they can heat them up for you on the spot. I highly suggest the vanilla with strawberry frosting. The ladies are always very friendly and willing to answer all of my questions and the samples are plenty too.

I recently was instructed to begin eating a more allergen friendly diet. I have tried several breads but most of them tasted less than average and we're just off. I really like the yeast free sugar free bread here. It tastes good and has been really helpful for managing dietary needs. Highly recommend! Also tried a red velvet cupcake, and it tasted great!

I do not need to eat gluten free but I was in a mood to try different bakeries. I got the Lemon cupcake. It was the biggest cupcake out of all the other bakeries. The texture was in between cake and muffin. It was slightly sweet some would say not sweet enough but I liked it. I wanted more icing since it was so big. I liked this cupcake better than a couple other non-GF cupcakes in the area. The lemon flavor was more in the icing, if any, was in the cake. I would go back here.

I got my moms birthday cake here, hoping for a great cake but was highly disappointed. Especially paying 45$ for the cake. We ended up just throwing away. I would of been better off going to Costco next time. Won't be going back.

Popped in for lunch and purchased the Loaded Monkey cupcake. I believe it was a banana, chocolate and peanut butter combination. The cupcake was full of flavor and the size was relatively larger than I expected (plus they have adorable to go boxes). The best part was that it was not too sweet like most cupcakes and the frosting was just enough. Yes, it is pricey, but after making my own paleo and gluten free baked goods at home, I recognize how expensive the ingredients can be, so that did not bother me. I will be back.

I see the other reviews and thought, hmmm why was MY cake so bad? Well I looked and the others had different things so maybe that's it. We had a special celebration for my husband's 60th birthday. We eat organic and I did not have time to make a cake so I called ONE WEEK in advance for this "fantastic" (see ratings!) cake. Chocolate with the fake buttercream frosting. I was quite specific on the day and time I would pick it up. Got there to find they still had the cake in the FREEZER!!! Told it would take 3 hours or more to thaw out. Our dinner was at 5. We had frozen cake. Thanks. Also I found out that they don't even make the cakes fresh. They are made at some plant in Garland, FROZEN there and transported to the store location for people to pick up. And here I'm thinking I'm getting a fresh cake. No one at all told me ANY of this when I called for my great cake. As for the taste? Meh. Absolutely NOTHING to write home about. No real chocolate taste, kind of like a whisper. The frosting was chemical-tasting at best, wanting to be butter cream but afraid to go there. So if you REALLY want an organic and better cake, bake it yourself. Use REAL organic butter and do it right. Save yourself the $45 and actually have a cake you can eat instead of a frozen disaster for a once-in-a-lifetime event of a 60th birthday.

As a wife of a husband who suffers from celiac, finding safe places for him to eat are few and far between. We ran across this place on findmeglutenfree and decided to give it a shot. Their 5 grain bread is awesome! So moist and held together, didn't crumble like so many gluten free breads do. Their sandwiches are quite small, so if you have a decent appetite, order 2. The cupcake I had was full of flavor and moist. The sugar cookie my husband had was soft and everything a sugar cookie should be. I wish we lived closer, but we will definitely seek out this place any time we are in the area!

SO happy to have found this place - I'm new to Dallas. I love the 5 grain bread- great for breakfast toast or sandwiches. They have amazing deserts and muffins.

Unrefined goes above and beyond all expectations. I can't stop recommending them to everyone I know! Everything I have tried is delicious - I've not had a "regular" cupcake since trying Unrefined's. This is the best restaurant that I have come to for gluten-free specially with it being a walking distance away from my office

Super happy I found this place the other day online and made the trip from downtown! I loaded up and left with a gigantic bag stuffed for $70, which I thought was a pretty good deal considering what all I got. I basically bought one of almost everything. Plus the girl gave me some cookies to try, which was very sweet and appreciated. The cookies were amazing! I actually ate half of them while sitting in traffic on the way home. The other half have been calling my name all day. Then I tried the spicy chex mix stuff - addicting. This morning I ate the carrot cake cupcake for breakfast (don't judge). It was easily the best GF cupcake I've ever had and was better than most wheat ones. If that icing was the non-dairy one, I'm a convert. My birthday is in December and I was already online looking at cake options. Chocolate with the vanilla frosting maybe? I have the sandwich bread and a pumpkin walnut muffin in the fridge for work tomorrow and I'll try to remember to update the review. The one thing I usually hate about GF is too much tapioca flour, which I think is disgusting. I haven't noticed it in any of the things I've eaten so far. The only negative thing I have to say so far is that knowing this place is here won't help me in my quest to stay in my smaller (I've been on a diet) pants.

I bought the hearty whole grain loafs for sandwiches. The hearty whole grain tastes wonderfully. HIghly recommend it!!!
