I love their cakes and can say they're a decent value, but the cinnamon rolls are an outrageous ripoff. I paid $40 for 8 of these things and they didn't even have icing on them! I guess I should have looked at the picture on the website first. I feel ripped off. They weren't even that good. I don't think freezing this dough mix does it any favors to the texture. Everything else here is great but buyer beware on the cinnamon rolls

My husband and I are from west Texas where there are hardly any gluten-free options for him to eat when we eat out. So when we walked in, it was absolutely wonderful to reassured that everything in the store was gluten-free. He had the pizza and I had one of their sandwiches, along with their chocolate chip cookies. Then we decided to try out some of the cupcakes for dessert. We had the chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and the vanilla strawberry cupcake as well. They were so delicious and mouthwatering. I really wish there was an Unrefined Bakery back home where we live! Overall this place is absolutely great and tastes delicious!!

Very kind and knowledgeable staff 💕 all options are celiac safe! They are also able to accommodate keto, paleo and other allergies and have all ingredients listed!

My favorite gluten free shop! My husband and I moved from Frisco to a small town in CO. I haven’t found anything like this around, so I decided to do their nation wide shipping. Fast and still as delicious as I remember. This is also the only bakery that my husband will eat their gluten free goods and can’t tell the difference! Worth a stop if you live in Dallas or purchase online if you don’t! Come to CO 🙏🙏🙏

I just left unrefined bakery and… wow, these people here are awesome! I had no idea what I wanted and I have a sensitive tummy. Aya went through my allergy list and palette profile and guided me towards the perfect cupcake. They also made me a phenomenal sandwich and coffee. I will totally be back. Thank you!

Went to a gluten-free bakery chain, Unrefined Bakery, in Frisco on Saturday. There were NO disclosed prices anywhere except on whole, refrigerated cakes. What's with businesses not disclosing prices? I'm not going to stand there and point to each item and ask the price. I want to know so that I know if I was over or undercharged. I've been to gluten-free bakeries where a single cinnamon roll is $8 before tax. If they're $5 each, I'll buy 2. If they're $8 each I'll buy 1 and I'll split it with my husband. Businesses lose money not disclosing the price upfront. My husband ended up getting a coffee, a pumpkin cookie which had the texture of pumpkin bread and a carrot cake muffin and we shared. I'm not risking a $50+ afternoon tea bill so I didn't order anything. While they tasted perfectly fine, I want to know the prices before I order. It had me on edge. February 2024

I don’t know what to say: lost for words . In my entire life I have never seen anything like it. Next to pizza for comparison on the photos is a tea spoon. The entire order was $51. Pizza was slightly burnt , check the photo of pizza, but it could have been delicious. It was delicious where it wasn’t burnt. They charge for every added item in the pizza… Cake - see the video, the slice was $9.50 and I am scared to try the muffin …. I still have I probably should throw it away … My sister goes to Richardson location and raves about it. Me, I am easy to write positive reviews as I look for positive when I go places … The box said thank you , it was very kind to see a note , so I give two wonderful stars for the note and really no stars for the food. If things didn’t turn out just don’t send them. The cake had salty spots sweet spots and occasionally baking soda tasting spots . However the outside cream was delicious. I am sorry but I won’t be back …

This bakery is a fantastic choice for any sweet treats! When I walked in I was greeted by all three of the staff members who were at the counter. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but one of the girls who was working that had curly hair and glasses and was very sweet helped me decide on a lemon cupcake. After I had made my decision the guy that was working who looked to be about seventeen or eighteen and had short-dirty blonde hair packaged up my cupcake nicely and checked me out with ease. Later on in the day I tried the cupcake I got and it was fantastic! The flavor was amazing, it looked great, and the texture was nice and smooth! Definitely will be visiting this bakery again!

I cannot contain myself inside of this Bakery! It is the most incredible place I've been to when it comes to a healthier option for us gluten and keto sensitive people! Food is incredible! Service is amazing! Nice little small place! Could use some more places to sit and would actually make more money if had some dine in space however that does not take away from the amazing food that I just cannot stop eating when I walk in there! Everything taste amazing! Even the little keto pizza! EPIC! Health nuts we found a winner! I'm in !

First time trying this place. I was very happy to see that they offered Keto, Paleo, Gluten free, etc. desserts (I'm a Keto/low carb person). I bookmarked the place and checked it out since we're throwing a birthday party next week and need some gluten-free cupcakes for a couple of guests. I wanted to try some before deciding whether to go with this place for our party. On this Monday afternoon, the guy and gal working were not the friendliest. The guy answered my questions but sounded robotic and just very matter-of-fact. I ordered two gluten-free cupcakes and two Keto cupcakes, and a slice of Keto cake. The gal that rung me up looked and sounded like she was bored out of her mind (but then again, so did the guy). I had no idea what my total would be since they don't post prices. I provided a tip (not sure why) but felt guilted to. Everything was bagged by the time I put my credit card away. And with that, not even a, "Thank you" or "Bye!,' especially when I was the only customer there! As for the taste, the gluten-free cupcakes were good. The Keto cupcakes and cake were a little dry, but that's not surprising for Keto. I hope for a better experience the next time I'm there (assuming there's a next time).. Disappointed considering how excited I was about this place. Also, it would've been nice if the guy told me which cupcakes were on the bottom and which were on top. I'm guessing the (smaller) dry cupcakes were the Keto cupcakes since the Keto (slice of) cake was very dry but nonetheless, those who are not familiar with these types of pastries may not know the difference, esp if they're given as gifts and important for those with dietary restrictions.

Delightfully surprised! Yummy! Seriously it's must try. Usually Gluten Free, non GMO, Soy Free is not great, it may taste okay but not great. Guys this is better than great, it's mind blowingly (not a word lol) good! It is airy, light, delicate and cream cheese is so so good. Surprised me, I want to try everything. Anyways it is really good. Love!!!!

I love that it is gluten free with so many dairy free options. The whoopie pies are delicious and the rolls are great for dinner. I can't wait to go back and try the pizza.

Okay I'm stoked to discover this place BUT they NEED to hire more help! The poor girl behind the counter was doing it all and there were at least 8 of us in line. She was so patient and kind I tried a couple of items trying to decide if I would order for my daughter's birthday party (looking for allergy friendly options). The chocolate chocolate cupcake was divine!! I would drive back just to get one for myself in the future. The brownie and other cupcake we tried weren't good at all, I actually threw them out. Just not to my liking - very dry and bland tasting. I did grab a bag of the trail mix and it's been a wonderful treat to munch on and pack in lunches so for that I'm grateful!

Very neat place if you're in need of grain free, gluten free, or keto items. I decided to try this place because of the keto items they have. It didn't disappoint. They have a lot of bakery items, but they also have lunch things like sandwiches and what not. They also have a variety of frozen products inside that are ready to buy. This place is pretty small for the amount of products that they sell, but it seems to work for them. The service is very friendly, as I was asked several times if I needed help. They are also very attentive to people's needs, I.e. gluten allergies or the need for keto products. If you're in the area for a quick sweet item or a lunch sandwich, try it out.

I got a customized cake for my birthday! Very delicious and the attention and service was great very recommend if you need specific good requirements and great flavors. The place is also very friendly and organized We put the fruit decoration thought, they gave us the cake without it. However, they told us before ordering, so everything was very clear!

What an expected treasure! I was looking for delicious treats for teammates in town for an event. They follow strictly gluten free and vegan diets. The store had lots of samples out to taste. My non vegan gluten free folks sampled and loved EVERYTHING. We ended up purchasing the party mix without nuts. It has the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. ALL of the team dug into the bags. It will be a staple for future gatherings. We also selected cupcakes. I wish I could remember the exact names but I'll do my best to recall. ALL were spectacular. Chocolate, vanilla strawberry, lemon and a chunky monkey? The cupcakes were most light and flavorful. My gluten free teammate ranked them in the best ever category. The bakery also has a great selection of cookies, pies and other delectables. There are multiple locations in the Dallas area. As I understand, they have a main bakery in Dallas. They bake everything local and then drive to the stores.

My health-nut friend was raving about this place, so I knew I had to try! I loved that they use organic, clean ingredients and have lots of vegan/gluten free/paleo/keto/you name it options. We got my birthday cake from here- vegan chocolate with peanut butter icing and a chocolate ganache filling and it was so good! Tasted like a healthy reese's cup but in a vegan cake. Recommend!!

If you have ANY dietary issues you must check out this bakery. My grandson has severe restrictions & can finally have cupcakes & cookies. (We cook for him, but these guys know what they're doing!) It's a real treat. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, personable.

Oh my God What a heavenly experience These cupcakes were amazing. If I didn't want to run my sugar level up I would have sampled so much more. Next on the agenda that pumpkin pie If you're in the area and looking for something more organic, dairy-free, gluten-free options possibly even vegan. I'm visiting from out of state & I was looking for healthy options to snack on. I was out shopping & decided to stop by this keto friendly bakery! I bought some cupcakes as as well as tiramisu to support my keto diet! I wasn't disappointed as the chocolate keto cupcakes were moist & delicious! The samples of the keto bread was also delicious! I'll definitely stop by when I'm back again.

Great bakery for GF/DF/nut free, vegan etc. Lots of variety and options to choose from. We loved the chocolate and vanilla cake and chocolate chip cookies but we were blown away by the chocolate cupcakes! The icing was creamy and the cake was delicious! It wasn't flaky or dry. We served the cake and cupcakes at dinner and guests were amazed at the flavor and texture. Many would have never guessed that they were made gluten-free dairy free, etc. Daniel did a great job making sure we got the correct items! Can't wait to go back!

Spotted this after we had lunch in Frisco. We had to stop. Left with a few cookies, a slice of cake, and a cupcake to try. Can't wait to try our goodies tonight!

You would never know their cupcakes and cookies are gluten and dairy free. I've never had anything here that isn't absolutely delicious. I prefer their "un buttercream" icing over regular buttercream. Yes, you will pay a little more than you would in a typical bakery. This is a specialty bakery. Not only is everything made from scratch, but the ingredients are top quality. The products are worth every penny. I love that you can freeze their cupcakes and cookies. They also have an impressive frozen section with breads, cakes, etc.

Overpriced and can never seem to get a delivery right (through Uber). How can you constantly screw up the type of crust being ordered??

I am currently dairy free so this was the perfect spot for birthday cupcakes! Lots to choose from, you don't feel like they are lacking taste/flavor, super good! Thankful for places like this when you have a special diet

I asked for a simple rainbow cake for my sons birthday. They said they could add a rainbow on top of it. I was excited to see it but when they opened the box I was underwhelmed to see such sloppy work. Even my own husband said it didn't look very professional. I just think that for $80 this should look nicer on the top. Especially since they charged me $25 for the design. I paid the same amount of money for a 2 tier cake that is beautiful for the actual party with a lot more detailed work with a different vendor, but this would have been an embarrassment. I will say the lemon flavor is really good!

The first time I tried from Unrefined Bakery my brother-in-law got it for me and now I went in on my own. It was so nice, clean, and chill. I was welcomed very kindly by the staff and they were patient with me while I freaked out because it's really hard to find vegan and gluten-free places. You can't tell that it's gluten-free and vegan it just taste good.And it doesn't feel too sweet or heavy . I love the baked goods and drinks here. It was a nice experience and I will be coming back soon. :)

Thank you to Iyeh for being so sweet to us and having us try the molasses cookies. We came in to purchase a gluten free treat to have with our coffee (we were on our way to get a PSL from Starbucks). We purchased some pumpkin spice cake, and Iyeh allowed us to try the cookie free of charge. Don't skip this place - the employees are kind and the food is both tasty and safe for folks with allergens. Guaranteed to be a day-maker!

In the Frisco, Texas neighborhood once again, so must make a visit to my favorite un-bakery! Cupcake of the Week: "Chocolate Churro" This is packed full of flavors, and sweetness. I ate this one here, and took home my usual Carrotcake cupcake with butter cream icing. Staff is super nice & helpful. The store is spotless, and well-organized, as usual. Many types of dietary requests are serviced here, just ask. Wish I lived closer!

I had a choc cupcake with vanilla and another with chocolate frosting. The texture of the cupcakes was like a really dense brownie, not cake. They were sweet and indulgent, but strangely lacked flavor? I also had a bun that my friend served with a hamburger. The bun was was super expensive- I believe $6.00? They were crumbly and underwhelming. Nobody eating this food made a single comment about how delicious the food was. I would eat it if it was served, but wouldn't purchase from this bakery.

Been eating gluten free for the past couple of months and these sweet treats are my go to. Try to make it a point to travel to Unrefined once a week, 35 minute drive from my house but worth it.

Wonderful service and baked goods! My gluten intolerant son loves the cookies and muffins! I love the cupcakes! I also had a graduation cake made for my son that turned out adorable and delicious.

Unfortunately these were not the best. The best part was the icing but the vanilla muffin was oily and the chocolate muffin was bland and boring nothing exciting about it at all

I order a german chocolate cake for my birthday and another birthday cake for my sister more than a week in advance . I have had many vegan/gluten free cakes. This sis not taste like cake and a terrible after taste, nothing near chocolate flavor. The next day I call to cancel the the other cake that is due in 7 days. They cancel and refused to refund.

Be still my GF-loving heart. If you are ever in Frisco, Texas, then you need to try this place! So many options for desserts and breads! Cupcakes, cookies and pies ...oh my! Custom order cakes! Coffees, smoothies and sandwiches if you need a quick bite. There are lots of options of you are GF, keto or doing paleo. They also let you try samples of pretty much everything! Great friendly staff too!

Hubby surprised me with a couple of cupcakes from this wonderful bakery. I'm gluten sensitive and this place caters toward those with food sensitivities. I had the carrot cupcake and it taste so good! I can't wait to try other flavors. Grateful for this specialty bakery.

Omg guys: Keto sweets!! So close and I didn't have a clue until today. First: the service amazing. I had to wait a little because they were short of staff and people kept coming in. However once she came to help me she gave me lots of free Keto samples so I was very very happy!! I tried the Keto breads and I will be buying a loaf to keep in the freezer. I bought today the vanilla, chocolate cupcakes and they were so good!! I tried the chocolate pie and wow!! So of course got me a slice for another day (or later tonite lol). I saw in the menu they have the Keto sandwich which means I can go there to have lunch. The prices are great. Same as any other bakery. It's located in a busy part of town so you may have to drive around for parking but it's worth it!! It's small and cute like a mom and pop shop/bakery. They have paleo, gluten free and vegan options for those of us who need to follow certain regimen. Please check this place out! I want Frisco to keep their local business open. I will be giving them a shoutout on Facebook as well.

This bakery is amazing! I've been looking for a bakery that is allergen free because I have several family members with food allergies, making birthdays difficult. I was so excited to see that they offered a special order form for cakes that allowed me to select dairy, soy, and wheat free. I came to the store to sample their flavors before ordering and every cupcake was delicious (we tried the chocolate, lemon, and strawberry)! My family loved the cupcakes I brought home for them to try and I'm looking forward to the next birthday to order a cake! Highly recommend

I had no idea Unrefined was a totally gluten-free bakery. Coworkers (6 of us) took me for my birthday so we could all get cupcakes. The guy at the counter was nice and patient and went through explaining the cupcakes they had....what was regular versus vegan and what was the COW (cupcake of the week). I got a vegan strawberry vanilla which was vanilla cake with strawberry frosting. I really liked the frosting. The cake was a bit lacking for me. It was very dense which wasn't a surprise but also it just wasn't sweet. Reminded me almost of a moist, dense cornbread muffin. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. However, I do think I'll go back and try some more flavors of their other cupcakes. If the experience is different I'll update my review.

Unrefined bakery is a food sensitivities dream come true! I started eating paleo back in 2013 and since then my diet has evolved to accommodate my body's specific food sensitivities. I am sensitive to eggs, dairy, soy, gluten, and a whole host of other things. What this means is it's pretty much impossible for me to find treats I can actually eat that won't mess up my hormones, immune system, or gut. Not to mention ones that actually taste good. At unrefined I can not only get a super delicious and beautiful treat, I can also walk away knowing I ate something my body won't be mad about. I don't have to worry about symptoms flaring or a crazy breakout. I can get a delicious cupcake and cakes that meet all of my needs. Honestly this place is pure MAGIC for someone like me. I'm so so happy they exist. And the cupcakes and cakes taste absolutely amazing, even for the people who can eat whatever they want! My husband can attest to this. I cannot recommend Unrefined enough! PS if you can have peanuts, the loaded monkey is my absolute favorite cupcake flavor! Definitely give it a try! It's both vegan and gluten free!

Tried the keto cupcakes for the first time; -Didn't really taste like much of anything flavor wise. -Base of cupcake didn't stay intact of any of them. -Overall it wasn't great especially for the price.

This bakery is truly amazing!! I ordered customized cookies, and the cookies were a big hit!! They even put stars and sparkle to make the cookies even prettier, and I am so much in love with them!! Thank you for making my daughter's birthday extra special! p.s. I'm not the best photographer. The cookies look like 100 times better in real life!!

We were in the area and I am Gluten Free and was looking for dessert nearby and came across this bakery!! Loved it. The Chocolate cupcake and the Sprinkle cookie whoopie pie were out of this world!! And customer service was top notch. Will definitely be back!!!

Okay, here's the deal. I'm sure the other bakery items are great...but, the hubs and I are Keto. They have very little to offer us. We thought we would stop in a grab a cupcake...until I saw the size. The Keto cupcakes are tiny! Sitting next to the others, it looked like the baby of the fam...AND, they were $4.50. Each tiny cake had a smidge of icing on top. They were sad little morsels. We passed. They had 2 Keto pies and 1 cake by slice. We bought 2 Chocolate Raspberry cake slices and 2 slices of Dark Chocolate Silk pie. Both frozen. We tried the cake. No flavor of raspberry cod chocolate...at all. I'd give it a C-. $8. Next, the pie. Gritty and a very small piece. All of the crust had fallen off. Did have a good chocolate flavor. I'd give it a C. $7. Won't go back. $30 for 4 slices.

They were good with communicating with me for my custom cake. However, my vegan birthday cake was not good. The cake was very dry and grainy. The detailed piping was not the color that I asked for. It was pretty sad because I was excited to find a place that did vegan cakes, only to not enjoy it at all. Spent around $60-$70 on a cake that nobody wanted another slice of.

Vegan chocolate cupcake review: Purchased 2 for my partner's birthday. My son has an egg allergy and I didn't feel like baking. Wow! Rich, moist, frosting is perfect balance of sweet and whipped. I couldn't tell that this was made without eggs! I also purchased the strawberry vanilla vegan cupcakes - not as tasty as the chocolate ones.

I love that they have Gluten- and Dairy- free treats readily available and many flavors to choose from. We had a Gluten- and Dairy- free raspberry chocolate cake and it was DELICIOUS!!! Excited to come back and try more flavors soon.

Every treat I've ever had from here has always been good! I love the fact that it's dairy free and they have so many options! Would highly recommend!

I picked up some nice cupcakes here the other day for a friends birthday. She has a Gluten sensitivity. Everyone enjoyed the assortment so much. If I was a person with an allergy or food sensitivities I would be so happy in finding this. There could be more flavor packed in to the batter of some of them. They feel like mild vanilla with a flavor in the icing. Still nice though. There is room for improvement in the Frisco location. Specifically in the staff. Most stood behind the counter not smiling no welcome in. Super easy fix with a little training. The staff member that helped me was very blunt and non personable. When asking the prices of cupcakes She just gave me a range of everything under the counter. Kinda hilarious to me. Baked goods with no prices is a bit frustrating to me. Not even a paper menu with pricing. This is an easy fix even if your prices fluctuate due to market costs. They have a good product! Kids helping out just need some guidance. Don't we all at some point in time!? Give these baked goods a try.

This is a tough one for me. Love the cupcakes but I just received horrible customer service from this young man that helped me. Very disappointed

I stopped in here to grab a few cupcakes to sample. We are wanting to have a cake made and aren't sure which flavor to go with. I picked a strawberry, lemon, vanilla and a chocolate something. The strawberry was pretty bland. The vanilla was good. The chocolate (whatever it's fancy name was) wasn't very good. The lemon however was amazing! I'm not a big fan of lemon flavor but this was fantastic! The cupcakes weren't dry which was a surprise! They had a noise flavor and were sweet without being overly sweet. I ended up ordering a cake here for a gender reveal party. I asked that the entire inside of the cake be made blue. i specifically picked a vanilla cake so the blue would show up well in the cake. The day I picked up the cake it looked beautiful. Exactly as planned. However when the cake was cut into it was not as planned. There was just a thin layer of icing that was colored blue instead of the actual cake. We were a bit upset by this. The cake cost us $90. Overall a good flavor and the out side was done well. But I did not appreciate them not following the directions as requested. Not to mention the icing on the inside was done very sloppy. The staff here was ok. They could stand to be a little nicer. A hello would be nice, especially when someone says it to them. Overall a great place to grab a cupcake! They have other baked goods if you're looking for cookies, bread, etc!

Just gonna mention for the 500th time that I'm on a keto diet. Also I kinda regret complaining about how annoying my vegan friends can be because now I too am the queen of questions when I eat out. Sorry in advance. Anyway, soon after I broke up with carbs I was having major withdrawals and ready to cut you for a cookie. Thankfully Unrefined Bakery showed up in my Yelp search for keto desserts. The staff seems knowledgeable about all sorts of dietary restrictions and they guided me to the keto chocolate cupcakes - I think I took a bite before I even paid. Honestly it tasted like I was cheating, especially the frosting. Definitely the best 4 bucks I had spent in a while. I got an iced coffee with Stevia to wash it down (their ice cubes are made of coffee too so it lasts longer, genius!). They also have keto muffins, bread, and pie. Yeah, I said pie. I'm not gonna lie, it's expensive but worth it. The keto bread lasts a year in the freezer (not in mine tho, cuz I eat it). You can also special order anything - vegan, gluten free, paleo, whatever. It's a small space and pretty high traffic. There are a couple of tables where you can stay and eat, and they always have a lunch special. I've been back a few times and it's always good. They also mentioned they want to sell Bulletproof coffee soon, yay! Thanks UB, for making this diet easier ;)
