Untold Brewing - Scituate

Great variety of beer (to-go as well), love their outdoor patio, and they have some snacks to choose from. We brought pizza from down the street and there was no questions asked (website says they encourage it). As we were leaving they were also setting up for a private party

Great spot for a hang with friends, especially on a nice day if you can sit outside. It’s not the biggest, so it can be hard to find a table, but the atmosphere is great. Plenty of delicious gluten free options as ciders and seltzers. I was really surprised! It’s also dog friendly.

Local tap room. Beer is good, though selection is IPA heavy. Picked up a 4 pack, so wasnt their any event and it took less then 5 minutes. Parking is tight due to lot size.

This brewery is turning out some really good beers. If you're ever in scituate or the area, you should check them out. I'm enjoying a infinity sky hazy. Ipa, right now, really well, balanced, very enjoyable.

We stopped in to pick up some cans on our way to the Cape. They are only open for togo can sales. You can order online and have them brought out to your car when you arrive. We decided to do a walk-up purchase. They have a window open with socially-distanced markings on the sidewalk. Give your order to the staff member in the window (there is a menu on a barrel in front of the window with descriptions of each beer). She gathered our order and brought it out to a stool in front of our car. The couple of beers we tried from those we purchased have been very tasty. We look forward to returning to try out their tasting room when it can be safely reopened.

Great beer. Hours are a bit weird especially on Sunday. Limited seating, mostly outside. Very friendly.

Just love it here, we’re frequent visitors. We like to grab a pizza and a table outside. Add in a few YUMMY cold brews and it’s a great night. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the brews are again, YUMMY!! We prefer IPAs, and Untold does them justice by offering quite a selection. Plan a stop, it’s worth it.

This brewery is one you would find in the Pacific Northwest! There is small bar snacks available, and outside food is allowed. Flights are reasonably priced or there is all their signatures pre-canned ready to go depending on your mood. Their setup is primed for national distribution and so are their flavors. My personal favorite was their coffee beer.

The brewery services some wonderful IPA's. The patio is a great place to chill with a cold beer! I really liked this place and highly recommend it!

Great bear and incredible atmosphere. We loved the many varied places to hang out. Met some really nice locals. There was some live music, lots of games you can play. A great mix of people including some young families, what looked like some reunions going on, and just some older couples like us. They have some snack food and also food trucks. Wish I remembered the name of the food truck there as their fries were about the best I've ever had!

A cozy and welcoming taproom with a great vibe. Very pet-friendly--honestly, I think my dog had a better time than I did! The staff were incredibly friendly and showered my pup with attention and treats. The beer was excellent, and the whole space had a relaxed, microbrewery charm. We'll definitely be back

Headed back to Untold this weekend. Sampled a couple of hazy, fruit-forward IPAs -- "Solid Wall of Sound" and "Fact or Fiction." Happy to say I enjoyed both. Hanging in the schoolhouse was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to trying more varieties when the weather warms up.

Great beer and very fun space located jn a historic retro fitted fitted school house. They have music and food trucks on the weekends typically. Awesome west coast IPA (EXNW) and plenty of haze for IPA lovers. Would love to see ciders/wine/spirits at some point. Best thing , I can bring my furry friend , (dog friendly!)

Great drinks, staff is super friendly, love that Untold brewing is dog-friendly! The only thing that took away from my experience was the amount of children running around in the walking aisles and screaming! I see the signs posted to request parents to keep their kids with them but it was still very loud and disruptive. I wish this rule was enforced more!!

Fun alternative to working out of a cafe or library! Outdoor patio and two separate indoor seating areas.

Beer, service and food from truck were excellent today. But pile of screaming kids on the lawn near the patio (where were the parents?) ruined the peaceful vibe. I raised kids and they never behaved like this at an establishment. There's a policy posted about keeping your kids with you, but clearly no one pays attention. I won't return.

What a delight! What a great addition to Scituate! This was a perfect brewery experience. It was 40 degrees in March -- like, almost bathing suit weather -- and Untold was hosting a luau (which really just meant that people wore Hawaiian shirts, or approximations thereof). I was meeting a friend. Yay! Parking -- on a sunny day after two snow storms -- was easy and reasonable, both on street and in the lot. But it took care and patience and kindness -- let others pass on the narrow roads. The interior customer portion of the brewery is divided into two parts (right and left as you enter). (There's also an outside patio for real nice weather days.) To the right, is a large open room with communal benches (and two gender-neutral bathrooms) that used to be the old school house. On the afternoon I was there, this area was filled with families with small to medium-sized children. Think mega-strollers and screaming and such. But don't worry... To the left is the area where you order drinks -- the bar area -- where adults of all ages (and there seemed to be a good mix of generations) and dogs (woof! gotta love dogs if you're gonna brew hop here) can sit or stand and drink and conversate. They have tables and games (corn hole! yay!) It's really a great way to serve all customers -- the millennials can bring the kids and still have a good time while those of us who come without attachments can still enjoy a good time without kids underfoot. Yay! And the beer! THE BEER!! The beer is good to great. I lean (wayway) toward hoppy and I really loved the East by Northeast. But don't worry if you don't like hops or don't know what you like. They had a good variety (and it changes, I hear) with everything clearly labelled. If you're at all shy, the servers will help you decide. And the generous flight ($12 for four) is a good way to begin. They also have popup foods. When we were there, it was warm pretzels ($6 -- worth every penny) from Fat Boyfriend Bakery (out of Malden) with a variety flavors and dipping sauces. I went traditional and got a hot salted pretzel with beer mustard. So good! (And such a great way to bring tasty snacks to folks who are day drinking!) I couldn't, however, get Untold to show up on Untapped. It would give me the beers if I put them in individually as a beer, but not the brewery as a local establishment. What's up with that?

What a great place. We went on a south shore brewery tour and this was stop one. The beer was incredible. There was something for everyone and thank god no sours. You can get flights for 12 dollars. I let the women pick out the flight for me all were very good. It was cold the day we went but they have a very nice outdoor spot for the summer. They were selling pretzels which was a nice plus. I really hate breweries that don't have any sort of food. They also have food trucks. We were there too early this time. Highly recommend this place. We took the commuter rail out here. Its located right around the corner.

What a great brewery! I spent a "girl's day on the paddle courts (google it) and then we headed to the Untold Brewery for a tour and to enjoy some delicious beer. The people who work at brewery are knowledgeable about the building they occupy which is an old school house, the process of creating the beer and the craft beers on the menu. There is a small garden which is lovely to sit out in during the nice weather but people tend to linger at the tables so tables are hard to come by. There is also a nice indoor sitting area too. I really enjoyed the various beers, the atmosphere and time spent at Untold Brewing.

This place rocks! Drink the beer, buy that hat. Just make sure your kids are out of there by 7pm. Really you have a problem with that? Why are your kids at a brewery past 7pm? You need to go home and put them to bed. Great place to stop off on the way to town for dinner. They sell cans, growlers and some of the coolest swag this side of the Cape. East Coast IPAs are the coin of the realm. They brew other beers too, but I'm sure folks come for the hazy pine. Food trucks and food pop up folks are here too. Check Facebook for dates. Young people. Be warned! While there no kids past 7, there are as many as they can fit up until 6:59. That was the rule tho. You guys get the bars and we parents get the breweries. Remember the deal!?!?!

We loved Untold! 4 of us shared a couple different flights, and tried almost everything on tap. There wasn't a single beer that we didn't like, just some that we preferred over others. Favorites were their Melon Patch IPA and Mr. Scratch Oatmeal Stout. For a new brewery, we were very impressed. These guys know what they're doing. They also have various food trucks most days either outside, or selling food next to the bar if it's cold out. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby!

This place is inside an old school house so it possesses the history and charm that you would expect out of a business located in Scituate. The beers are delicious, and there's something for everyone, no matter what type of beer you're into. You can get flights so you can get a taste of all their different beers, or if you're indecisive like I am. And, they do crowlers and growlers to go! The outdoor space in the summer is awesome! They have different food trucks come so if you're hungry you can munch on something different each time. They even have a designated area inside for the good trucks to serve their food so you don't have to go outside! They have jenga that you can play while relaxing and sipping on beer. This weekend they did a taza chocolate and beer pairing in celebration of Valentine's Day. The staff is friendly, personable and fun, and the prices are reasonable! My fiancé bought a hat here the last time we went and he wears it all the time. This is an awesome spot, and I highly recommend checking it out.

This place is nice, great setting, awesome seating area, would love to visit on a weeknight or weekend, I'd say it's a great vibe. When I visited, Friday noontime, it was already busy, staff are chilled, they know their product super well, pleasure to talk to, some great IPA choices and some nice Pales and different Ales. They seem to switch things up often enough to be worthy of following. I'm for sure a beer chaser, Treehouse, Trilium and Bissell etc etc, and I'd totally send anyone to Untold to get their fill. Awesome sauce for the South Shore! Probably the best around here!

This is a great little spot fronted by an old one room schoolhouse (now seating adjacent to the taproom/brewery) that is definitely worth checking out. They have some great outdoor seating for the warm months and plenty of great beers to keep you warm through the winter. We did a ton of samplers, mainly IPAs and a stout and enjoyed them all. We look forward to another trip when it's warm enough to lounge around outside and enjoy a few pints.

Had a great time here right after they first opened. The space is big and beautiful. The setting is quiet on a back street. The clientele is friendly suburban Scituate folks. Lots of kids and families (pro or con depending on how you look at it). Large outdoor space. Above-average beer!

Good beer and nice staff. Tasting Room is comfortable and they allow you to bring in food. Nice addition to the south shore, but pick your times based on who your with. Very kid oriented on weekends. Probably would be fine if kids are monitored, but it's more like lord of the rings meet chuck e cheese. Bring your own growler.

Had two flights here, excellent beer! Great location and very clean! Has a family atmosphere with a great bring your own food ability. They have excellent pop up food companies as well. Lavishly Dunn was an amazing food option open last time we were there and the prices were all very reasonable!

Cool place but I'm not a fan of the beer. They need a true New England style IPA that is hazy and juicy in order for me to come back. There is lots of competition out there now.

What makes a visit to Untold Brewery such a great experience is a combination of wonderful, enjoyable, diverse craft brews, a gorgeous, bright tasting room, a cool and comfortable place to hang out with friends and enjoy the choices on tap (a beautiful, refurbished old schoolhouse), and a knowledgeable, passionate and fun staff read to pour and fill a growler or two--and share some conversation. We've visited a number of times and enjoyed several outstanding flights, the pop-up catering of the day, and on our first trip, one of the best tours which I have had at a craft brewery. One of the owners shared their history, beer making philosophy, and techniques in a fun, enjoyable way. We also appreciate Untold's commitment to non-profit causes in the community, including donating fees for tours to select organizations.

We love it here! (also love enjoying their beer wherever we are) The south shore has become a great location for breweries, some great, some good and some not so great. Untold is amazing and is definitely in with the greats. The beer is very well made and absolutely delicious. They offer a large variety of beer types, which other local breweries lack. The staff is ALWAYS, cheerful, helpful and attentive. I have gone to Untold with girlfriends, as part of a date night, as well as with my young family, and we are always made to feel welcome, no matter the company. (again not always replicated at other local breweries) They offer an over 21 area during the day, for those that want it, a great compromise. The school house and patio is quintessential Scituate. We love everything about Untold Brewing! Nicely Done!

Excellent beer and great atmosphere. The employees are polite and friendly. Very enjoyable.

The beer here is excellent. The staff is friendly. The facility is clean. The only downfall of this place will be their pricing strategy. You can't find more expensive beer anywhere. This place has no remorse on pricing, whether you drink it there or take it with you. They will not exchange growlers. They depend upon customers to clean sterilize and return their own bottles for overpriced refills. I don't expect they will lower prices but they ought to purchase a growler washer and offer easy exchanges. Again, tasty beer.
