This restaurant has been selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand, so I visited with high expectations, and overall it turned out to be a very satisfying experience.
The general level of the dishes was high, with many items that were genuinely delicious.
What stood out most was the mapo tofu with shirako.
It was not overly spicy, but rich and full-bodied, making it very easy to enjoy.
I tried both the Shanghai-style and Cantonese-style braised whole shark fin, and both were well executed.
Personally, I preferred the Shanghai-style version for its deeper, richer flavor.
The shrimp mayo featured large, plump shrimp and was very good, and the spiny lobster in chili sauce was also reliably tasty.
On the other hand, the braised pork belly had a rather strong black vinegar acidity, which may divide opinions.
The shrimp and lettuce XO sauce fried rice at the end was well seasoned and satisfying, leaving a strong final impression.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal and would definitely like to visit again.
