In short, wouldnt recommend. Came here after an HK youtuber highly recommended, very disappointed throughout the meal. Food: nothing was amazingly delicous, even the roe and uni rice was not surprising. The chicken wing was obviously overcooked, it was very hard and dry. The speed between dishes was not well controlled, the customer came 45mins later, finished at the same time with us. Hygiene: we saw the chef blowing his nose a couple times and noticed he didnt wash his hands afterwards. Atmosphere: quite nice, liked the setting and decorations. Service: everyone was nice and attitude was great

Small bistro, high quality food ingredients with different cooking methods and more importantly, with hearts. We ordered a course set and the portion is great. Warm service and I love sakes which are recommended by chef, good value for money. Pls make reservations before visit.

Check out this amazing small izakaya restaurant in Roppongi! Ueteru has a homey vibe and the chef cooks in front of you. The Ikura Uni rice is a must-order and it's really fresh for only 8,500 yen (which you can share with 2-3 people). You can also enjoy high-quality sashimi and grilled fish. Highly recommend it!

Outstanding seasonal dishes in a charming intimate environment. Small plates are well thought out and fresh. The highlight of the meal was definitely the claypot rice bowl with uni and ikura. Every spoonful delivered waves of umami surfing alongside slightly crisped rice, which can only be described as bliss. Sake recommendations were superb and matched the food well.

I would say this restaurant is totally rubbish. it does not worth recommending. Please save your money from getting there. The food there was below average and the food arrangements and combinations were outrageous. Please check out the ham and strawberry one. What was that?! And most importantly the food quality was low and they weren’t tasty as all. The fish was overcooked and they tried to hide it from turning the burnt side down. Won’t come again and definitely not recommending to others. Waste of money.

The overall food quality are quite disappointing for this price. Most of the customers are foreigners speaking Cantonese, you can tell this restaurant spent a lot advertising (probably through some Hong Kong YouTubers). The chief did not wash his hands multiple times after sneezing with his hands. This is very concerning, hope nothing will happen to my stomach.

Excellent example of a typical Izakaya in one of the best areas in Tokyo, with lots of options for dinner.

Yelp
This is my 400 review and I was so hesitant on which place to write about. Many people told me that I have to write one on a food place because I'm a so called foodie and that is what Yelp is mainly known for, food. Other people were saying that I should write about a place to eat in Hawaii but it was so hard to choose from and low and behold, this place that I ate at in Japan pops up as they choose one of my pictures to use. So this place is not where many foreigners will ever end up at as they do not cater to non-speaking Japanese and truthfully I am happy that they do not as it might get even more crowded than it already is. Yes, I know someone who lives in Japan and has taken us to some really good places to eat and this one is sure to top the list. Reservations are highly recommended. You might be able to walk in but why risk it? They are known for their really fresh fish and their ikura, uni rice bowl which you can see in the pictures. I am not a big fan of uni but let me tell you that the mixture of the ikura, uni (this uni is like butter) and rice mixed together is so good that I wanted to order another bowl just for myself. They have an extensive sake selection and the ones we tasted were all so good. We must of tried like 5 to 6 different ones and the one I took a picture of was the best. It was so smooth with a little flavor but not fumy if you know what I mean. If you can find this hole in the wall place and know some Japanese or know someone who can speak it, I highly recommend eating here as your taste buds and tummy will thank you.

Yelp
Amazing spot. Behind a quiet nondescript door is a small but vibrant izakaya run by warm group of people. The food is all great and prepared directly in front of you. The music selection is eclectic and cozy. The only quip I have is that the lighting is too bright. I'd prefer a darker and moodier lighting for drinking and chilling. Still, this place is all class.
