I've been here a number of times, and every time has been ok with lackluster service, but I came back for the view. I brought about five of my friends there one night I believe back in January to show them a great view of Dallas and to have some drinks. It took forever to get someone to come take our order. When we finally did have someone come over, she had a slight attitude. When she went to take my friend's drink order, my friend offered out her driver's license as identification since my friend is either 21 or 22 years old, and the waitress responded by saying "oh I don't need to see that". My friend thought nothing of it and put her ID away. A long long time later, a few of us get our drinks, but two people didn't. One guy in our group didn't get his drink, I believe we asked about it, but he still never got it and he just gave up on ordering since things were taking so long anyway. My other friend who had earlier presented her ID didn't have her drink come out with the rest of the drinks. We asked about it and the waitress goes to get it, although AGAIN takes forever to do so. She finally comes out with an attitude, and stops at the table. She very rudely says to my friend something to the effect of "you're going to need to show me some ID before I give you this drink". As if she's accusing my friend of not providing identification. My friend had previously pulled out her ID when ordering to give it to her w/o even being asked! Now the waitress comes over, after telling her she didn't need to see ID, having an attitude, forgetting her drink, and rudely asks her to see her ID or she will refuse to serve her? I completely understand needing to follow TABC rules, and understand needing to check for ID. That's why my friend offered up her ID to begin with. The waitress shouldn't have ever said "I don't need to see that" to her to begin with, and then if she was told by her superiors that she still needed to see ID, she could have said something nicely like "I apologize, but I was wrong earlier, I actually do need to see your ID". Instead she comes over extremely rude and with an attitude.
We continued to have horrible service the entire time and tried for somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour to get a check. We kept asking our waitress for checks (the very few times we could even get her to come over), but she never brought them. I finally went inside and asked another waitress about it and she was better, but still had an attitude. Took FOREVER still to get our checks. Better yet, when we finally did get our checks, a few of us were charged incorrectly and orders mixed up, and if I remember correctly, one of our credit cards was not returned when we received the receipt to sign. So again, we had to go back up and have them look for our card, after being treated horribly the whole night and having this disaster take much longer than it should have. It's a shame the waitresses hired here have such attitudes and could care less about the customers. A business lives or dies on how it treats its customers. This could easily be one of the top spots in Dallas due to the location, bar/patio size, and view, but instead is easily one of the worst spots, due to how badly they treat their guests.
Side note: This happened at night where there would be a few more people than normal, but I've been here a bunch of times during the day and night, and at times where I've been literally the only table there, and the service has still been incredibly slow and the service not too friendly. This time just happened to be easily the slowest and by far the rudest.
