The 11 Best Restaurants In Rice Village

"On the second floor of Hungry’s, a sort of healthy lunch and brunch spot, is Upstairs Lounge, a 21+ rooftop bar and lounge. While the inside of Upstairs is dark and feels like a speakeasy where you’d share a cozy meal, the outside is bright with a light wood exterior that resembles a giant treehouse. We recommend enjoying your drink on the rooftop, to both get some vitamin D and order from Hungry's menu of dishes like gyro plates, pineapple and prosciutto pizza, and grilled salmon. And with trees hugging the perimeter of the bar, your view is only a few treetops, blue skies, and maybe a spicy pineapple margarita." - gianni greene, chelsea thomas

Google
Oh look no further this is the spot! If you’re looking for a great happy hour deal after work, company events, first date, fifth date, or just after your Rice U walk, look further this is a great place. The food, and cocktails are amazing. Their blueberry Basil Lemonade is a must. However, my favorite thing about this bar is Joey he is amazing and really great at what he does. He’s the reason I keep coming back. 10/10 recommend.

Upstairs has an indoor and an outdoor area. Bartender prepares fantastic cocktails and treats everyone nicely. Many different sport channels for entertainment. Good selection of finger food appetizers.

I visited this place 11 months earlier and left a 5 star review . I can say it’s “still the same” ! Great service and reasonable prices. We stopped for a pizza and dessert and it didn’t disappoint. The new pepperoni hot honey pizza was a perfect bite with a nice yellow rose IPA. The bread pudding with ice cream is phenomenal. A must try in the rice village area!

Google
Yoi was absolutely on point! He made everything seem easy. We were never in need of anything as he was right there with whatever we asked for! Thank you! We'll visit again soon!

Google
The food here was amazing. My partner and I visited during happy hour and were immediately seated and served. On a beautiful day, I would always choose to sit outside and upstairs! They are doggy friendly in the outdoor seating on the first floor. Drinks & food was AMAZING! I will definitely visit again before I leave Houston!

Google
Went to this place after our ceremony. I tried fried pickles for the first time, i loved it, and also tried smoked salmon avocado toast and Ceviche, they were refreshing. Loved the ambience. Although it was extremely windy upstairs that particular evening, we enjoyed the dinner. Not too crowded, really spacious, and the waiters recommendations were amazing.

While in town, stumbled across this place while looking for a happy hour in Rice Village. There several delicious small plate options as well as deals on certain drinks and pizzas. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Google
Cozy place to grab a bite, or drink. They have a full bar as well as some non alcoholic options. Didn’t try the food this time but ask for the dessert menu 😉Definitely recommend the lava cake with vanilla ice cream, so delicious. The atmosphere is nice and has multiple sitting areas: the bar, indoor tables, small couch/living room style, outdoor covered patio also. The staff was super friendly and helpful! I’d definitely go back!

Yelp
Upstairs Bar and Lounge is an attractive upscale casual bar with very good food. The indoor setting can be considered somewhat romantic while the outdoor second level deck is more casual with lots of TVs and high top seating. They have a great cocktail menu with something for everyone or you can get creative with your request. We've had the same server twice and he did an excellent job with additional descriptions and opinions of both drinks and food. The food menu is impressively large for a bar and I've throughly enjoyed each item ordered over two visits. Don't be afraid go beyond the typical bar food, my exploration is just getting started.

Yelp
Located upstairs above Hungry's restaurant in Rice Village. Has both indoor & outdoor seating plus an indoor space with a glass door that could be used for private dining. I love the upstairs, outdoor patio. it's a nice size, with TVs & multiple fans, Dimly lit, nice vibe in the evening. Food: Crab cake appetizer. 3.5/5, was not crab meat forward, more "bready" than I prefer & flavor was basic. Brussel sprouts: 4/5 they were good, the balsamic glaze made them My dinner mate got the gyro pita where the meat was very tender & tasty. 4/5 Spicy Mezcal Paloma cocktail was good. Not really spicy. I substituted OJ for grapefruit since i can't drink grapefruit juice. Service was fine, no complaints. Nice spot to pop in for a bite & drinks.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and it did not disappoint! We had the whole balcony basically to ourselves. Although it was warm, the balcony had shade and cooling fans which kept us comfortable. Our server took amazing care of us as well - she was attentive and gave great recommendations. They have an awesome happy hour - half off cocktails, $10 pizzas, and $4 off their appetizers. They also have daily specials on top of these and kids eat free on Mondays! I got to try a variety of cocktails - the spicy pineapple margarita was sweet and spicy - just enough kick to make it exciting. The Paloma was very smoky which brought out the mezcal flavor nicely. The gimlet was my favorite - I loved the herbal fragrance and flavor and enjoyed the grapefruit juice! We shared the brussel sprouts and wings. Both were amazing - the brussel sprouts were crispy, sweet, and dupe flavorful. The wings were well cooked and had great flavor. We tried the garlic Parmesan and the honey habanero. The manager checked on us and was very hospitable. I could not say a negative thing about this experience. We will for sure make this a regular go-to spot! Give them some love!

Yelp
Came here for a drink and sat at the bar. Bartender was really nice and efficient! They have a variety of cocktails, wine, beer, and bar food. Cool vibe for drinks and appetizers. Love that they have Daou wine too - from close to home.

Yelp
Upstairs is always a cute little vibe! Love coming here for happy hour especially on Sunday. Valet service is tip based I recommend doing valet there's not too many free parking spots in the lot and it's always packed. I always order the Spanish dip. It never disappoints, but of course you have to add a little bit of salt to it. I ordered the pepperoni pizza which was super cheesy. Love it! I always get the frose. They have the best frose I've ever had. Everybody I was with enjoyed their food!

Yelp
I wish I could remember the name of my pizza. It was sooooo delish! Definitely one of the best pizzas I've have! Ambiance was chill and intimate. Theres's an outside seating area as well but with the houston heat, we chose to sit in the inside. Service was prompt and food was fresh.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to come for happy hour because at the time of this review, they offer it daily from 3-6 pm. The bartenders and staff are super friendly. I really enjoy ordering the spicy pineapple margarita. The rosé on the happy hour menu is pretty nice as well. The food is consistently delicious. I really like the green chile shrimp ceviche. The hummus is phenomenal and their pizzas are pretty great too.

Yelp
Good Happy Hour(50% off signature cocktails, $10 pizzas and $4 off apps) we got the cashew queso, lamb and beef hummus, prosciutto and pineapple pizza and short rib sliders. All of them were pretty solid, I would come back! Our server Alexis was great, quick to greet us and get our orders in and food out. The patio is nice too, 90 degrees today but it feels more like 75 on this patio, nice breeze and nature vibes.

Yelp
Great location. Good atmosphere. Food and drinks were awesome. Has an indoor and out patio area.

Yelp
Came by for happy hour (daily 3-6pm) on a Monday. Located near Rice Village above Hungry's. Hungry's has parking lot, where you can park if going to Upstairs. Upstairs has both and indoor and outdoor seating area. Ordered the corn fritters, spinach artichoke dip, and fire-roasted brussel sprouts, spicy pineapple marg, and blood orange mule. Loved all the apps, must get the corn fritters. The drinks were unique and strong, not overly sweet. Excited to come back when the weather is nicer and sit on their patio area.

Yelp
Great place for a business happy hour! Inside was professional and upscale. Lots of appetizer options included on the happy hour menu. The spicy margarita was great! Service was a bit slow as it got busier throughout the night.

Yelp
We had a lovely evening here. The ambiance was upscale casual and the service was phenomenal. So many vegetarian and vegan options and they were all incredible. We had the spinach artichoke dip which was stellar - our daughter had some too. For main I had the Brussel sprout salad which was great; just the fried goat cheese was a lot so I only had a little bit of that. It would have been great if they added a side of tzatziki which the salad as they did give pita but I stole my husbands. Also the kids menu is fantastic. The thing I loved about it most is that they don't just give unhealthy options - my kids mac and cheese came with peas and carrots. We were very happy. They also let my kiddo walk around the entrance as she does not like sitting and all the staff were so sweet with her. Please do not miss out on dessert- the molten lava cake is killer. And drinks are incredible. Basically just come here. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Very nice upscale location where you can order cocktails, appetizers and small plates. The service was mediocre and so was the food but the ambiance was great. The cocktails were also delicious.

Yelp
Great place for drinks and food after work with colleagues or friends. I've only gone for the Happy Hour and it's a good value. I've also attended a networking event here which was a good venue.

Yelp
Really enjoyed hanging out here w a friend for HH during the week. Great HH menu and reasonably priced. Parking for me wasn't a problem in the Hungry's parking lot back row but I believe they have free valet as well during dinner hours. The atmosphere is upscale casual. Love the group seating options inside (long bar, high top tables that could seat small groups and lower seating w mixed chair and couch options). Large outside patio which is great for larger groups and good views, lots of fans to combat the humid weather. As far as food we split the spinach artichoke dip and pepperoni mushroom pizza--pizza is thin and had the best kind of cheese pull. Our cocktails were aerosol spritz and this was super light and refreshing, along w glasses of rose wine to follow. The food menu outside the Hh menu is diverse and def something I would try although on the pricey side. Lots of veg and vegan options. Service was great-not intrusive, friendly, and attentive. I had to wait about 20 min before my friend arrived bc she was stuck in traffic and I was checked on but not overbearingly. Would def recommend for a great place to catch up w friends and enjoy. I can also see it as a good place for a birthday gathering that's not super formal yet a little more upscale and fun without the lounge/club atmosphere.

Yelp
Located on the second floor of Hungry's, Upstairs is a cute lounge-looking area where you can grab good food and drinks. The indoor and outdoor (balcony) seating options is ideal for larger groups. We went during happy hour and picked out 4 appetizers to share for the table. There were a good number of happy hour food items for different tastes at a decent price (4 appetizers and 4 drinks for under $100). Overall, the food was decent. The star of the show was the goat cheese dip; my least favorite was the artichoke dip. My biggest complaint was the food temperature. BEWARE!!!! THE FOOD IS PIPING HOT AND COMPLETELY BURNED THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH!!! (Sorry for being graphic: burn blisters and all). It's been about a week and I'm still recovering from it. After we received the food, we had to wait a while before we could actually eat it. Dishes that we tried to beware of are the Brussels, goat cheese, and dip (basically everything served on the skillet). I would have appreciated a heads up. Other than that, the service was really good and quick and we had a good time. Our server was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Tried this place for happy hour with my friend! It is the upstairs second story space above Hungry's (enter the main entrance and ask to go upstairs). Happy hour is 3-6 PM and includes several drinks, apps, and pizza. There is a large indoor space and outdoor covered space, so plenty of seating options to choose from. For drinks, we both got the aperol spritz, which arrived very soon after we ordered them. The drink has a very nice and prominent grapefruit flavor is is not too tart the way grapefruits can be and it is just the right amount of sweetness. The drink is a pretty nice size as well. My friend and I split the spinach and artichoke dip and the pepperoni and wild mushroom pizza, which was a perfect amount of food for us. Food came out pretty quickly and was hot and fresh. The dip is simply great- it's the perfect consistency and is plenty cheesy and creamy but it's not too salty. It comes with little sides of tzatziki and pico de gallo, which actually compliment the dip very nicely. The dip is a very good size for sharing. The pepperoni and wild mushroom pizza really satisfied my pizza cravings with its textures and flavors. The pepperoni and cheese were wonderfully salty with a bit of a spicy kick. The mushrooms added another level of savoriness, the fresh basil balanced it out, and the crust was delightfully crisp. I would definitely come back here for happy hour or try it for brunch! There's valet parking or a few spots for self parking in the lot, but we opted to park in the main Rice Village garage and walk.

Yelp
Stopped in for afternoon post brunch hangout. Walked right upstairs to find a table outside. Drinks were refreshing and it's a great atmosphere. Unfortunately due to being stuffed from earlier brunch we didn't try any food but I saw lots of delicious looking plates going by our table and we bookmarked it for next time to try for our brunch plans. Service was great, bathrooms were clean and it was overall great. Valet is provided and they work on tips.

Yelp
My friends and I had a great time here while in Houston for our girl's trip. We wanted to have drinks on a rooftop so I decided Upstairs Bar and Lounge met the criteria . We had drinks here before going to another restaurant for a late night dinner. The drinks were great. I had the blackberry ginger margarita and had a sip of the spicy pineapple margarita. Both were great, and I highly recommend the blackberry ginger cocktail. A couple of my friends had the blue crab cakes and said they were delicious. The atmosphere and vibe were great. We even considered having dinner here but already had plans at another restaurant.

Yelp
November 2020 review - never posted this for some reason. GREAT food, but holy crap, slow ass service (and pricey)!! Believe the reviews about the service, omg. It was pretty empty on a Wednesday at 7pm too during covid! (FYI, this is the upstairs bar / patio of Hungry's). BAKED GOAT CHEESE $15 (4/5) (Topped with crumbled candied walnuts and dried apricots, toasted baguette)- This was so good! Even if you don't know if you like goat cheese, just get it. You can also ask for more free baguette bc you get plenty of cheese and not enough bread. ANAHEIM CHILE GRILLED CHICKEN $18 (4.5/5) (All-natural chicken, roasted Anaheim chile cream sauce, basmati rice w/ peas, seasonal vegetables, warm pita)- really good, surprisingly. The chicken breast was very big and thick, seasoned well, and tender! The sauce was very good too! Roasted veggies were tasty (cauliflower, brussels sprouts, red bell pepper, broccoli). Only downside was that my food wasn't even warm. Pricey but large portion. After eating our appetizer and waiting like 30+ minutes, I was kind of full so I took half to go. HUNGRY'S KABOB PLATE $21 (2 skewers of beef tenderloin, grilled all-natural chicken or combo of both, basmati rice, seasonal vegetables, Persian cucumber dill salad, warm pita)- date ordered beef (BIG pieces!), he enjoyed it and took half to go. ----------------------------- Waiter had recommended the gyro plate (lamb/beef), kabob plate, meatloaf (date said it's ok), and Anaheim chicken. I'd return (don't come too hungry tho) but only if I weren't paying, lol. After ordering our appetizer, our waiter disappeared forever! We got our appetizer from the food runner, almost finished it, and were literally looking around for our waiter, OR ANY WAITER, for 20+ minutes JUST TO ORDER OUR ENTREES!! They have their own small parking lot (a plus for Rice Village!), and I had no problem on a Wednesday at 7pm during covid. Apparently there's free valet though that takes up most of the lot.

Yelp
Perfect place (Upstairs) to catch up with friends if youre looking for a chill ambience! We came here for late night drinks - the cocktails & service were great. So glad we tried food too - it was incredible. We ordered crab cakes (very flavorful and soft), Brussel sprouts (had me wanting more!), & parmesan fries. The warm bread pudding & vanilla ice cream were a hit! Can't wait to come back for actual dinner & to check out the happy hour.

Yelp
Although it was a bit hot outside, we were seated quickly and enjoyed lovely espresso martinis after dinner. They could do better with circulation upstairs as inside wasn't a reprieve from the humidity.

Yelp
Great Happy Hour vibe! Delicious Libations! There is a private room as well as a nice balcony patio
google avatar

Cicely B.

Yelp
I dine alone on occasion to decompress and reset. This place is so relaxing. Service is excellent. They always recommend food and drinks that fit my mood. The view from the patio overlooks a scenic street with people going by, and it's not too loud or dead. The bar is beautiful as well.

Yelp
Upstairs Bar & Lounge is you guessed it, the upstairs portion at Hungry's. Located in Rice Village, they are unusual for the area in that they have a parking lot. The parking lot is part valet and part self parking. I stopped by on a Wednesday for happy hour with a friend. Upstairs has a nice indoor area with a long bar with seating, comfortable sofas and table-top seating, and the best spot in the house--the patio. I've been to Hungry's and Upstairs three or four times and I haven't had anything I haven't liked. On my last visit, I had a beer and cocktail off their happy hour. Food wise, we split a bunch of apps off of the happy hour menu including the pepperoni and mushroom pizza, the mixed skewers, and the mac & cheese. Service was good! You can't go wrong with Hungry's and Upstairs at any time of the day. I've been for both lunch and happy hour. Next up, dinner. Well, whenever this Coronavirus business is over.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
This restaurant is incredible. The food is great and the staff is even better! My dinner was nothing but a pleasure. Elizabeth M. And Karah, the manger, will definitely get another visit from me and my friends in the near future!
google avatar

Erin Y.

Yelp
Solid happy hour spot with patio breeze and view! The food and drinks aren't anything too special, but it's a great spot to get together with friends. Parking is a little rough, as the lot is often full, which leaves street parking in rice village or one of the village garages.

Valeria R.

Yelp
We got a few cockroaches on our table while we were eating and they didn't even bother to give us any discount for the unpleasant experience. Not coming back again and I will not recommend it.
google avatar

Nena K.

Yelp
Ok. I would come back. My sister and I randomly stopped in for drinks and we both noticed how we could barley taste any alcohol in them. Didn't have the most attentive server but the staff was very very friendly, welcoming and nice. Had spinach dip which was just ok, chips were stale. Very spacious and clean establishment, so I would definitely give them another shot!

J B.

Yelp
It was cool. We didn't stay too long because it was the end of the night, but the atmosphere was nice. Also being elevated above the street actually helped reduce the effects of Houstons ever present humidity.
google avatar

Jon B.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour - what a great place and surprisingly excellent eats . We ordered beers and cocktails with a tuna Tare tare which was Stellar ! Really nice atmosphere with outdoor patio abs upstairs too . The perfect happy hour destination

Yelp
Love their Happy Hour! We went on a Thursday at 4 PM. There was a private party on the inside, but luckily there were still plenty of space on their outside patio. It was a chilly afternoon, and the outdoor heaters helped a bunch. Our waitress was very attentive, even after our party got larger over time, and she responded quickly to our request. We tried the brussel sprouts and the Soho trio. The brussels were the bomb.com! We've had them before, and I forgot to review it. The Soho trio was tasty, but it was more of a snack and could've been larger. As for drinks, we ordered Just Beet It and the Grapefruit Fritz. The beets were a delicious addition, and was quite refreshing! The grapefruit drink was delicious, and would've been over the top if it had tapioca pearls! Thumbs up for finding another HH fave spot!

Roger Y.

Yelp
This is our 2nd. Visit for H.R....we loved the relaxing atmosphere....great food. Server "Ana"......my wife loved her!...thanks

Yelp
I really enjoy the location and environment of this restaurant, but I found the food to be nothing special. Pretty average and not worth the price in my opinion. The service was also pretty slow. So overall not a bad experience and I enjoyed my night, but its not somewhere I will be back to.

Yelp
I come here so many times and most of the time everything was great , but today we made a reservation and it looked like , reservation is only for downstairs and my co worker was a little bit upset because we had a big meeting and nothing was ready, all the sudden I found my favorite server , his name is mohamed and i described the situation to him and he told me don't worry about anything He kindly took all of us upstairs and made our tables available and also he ordered 11 appetizers and a bottle duck horn and we all enjoyed the service and his great attitude Thanks mohamed for your hospitality

Yelp
This place was recommended to me by some coworkers. A friend and I went during happy hour on Friday evening and we both highly enjoyed the place. Our waitress was not too involved but she was pleasant. The atmosphere was nice, we sat outside and it was actually a breeze out there. Ordered the Old-Fashioned and my friend ordered the Spring Fling. Pretty good. For food we ordered the spinach dip, it was delicious. Ordered the salmon dip as well, but sent it back because it was raw and we didn't know that. In the place of that we got the soho trio which was really good. I ate the shrimp, peppers, and jalapeños from the kabob. Also, the chipotle dipping sauce was off the chain! Didn't take a picture of the soho trio though, sorry. My friend then ordered the fire-roasted Brussels sprouts, so good. More than likely I will return!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting upstate bar and lounge and I loved every second of it. The atmosphere is so beautiful, the people are nice, and everything just feels and seems like a Sunday afternoon. The vibes are great throughout the entire venue. I ordered chicken tacos that came out beautiful, the chicken was diced to perfection, the plate of slaw sat like a colorful bed of awe as I ate my tacos beside it. The drinks are nice, not too strong, but perfect for putting you in a zone of relaxation. The food is great, but I tHink you'll love this place for the views and feels that it gives off. Every table in the building carried smiles and laughter. Big groups, small groups, singles at the bar, it didn't matter, this is just a happy place to be in, and you'll feel good about being here. Plus the valet is complimentary, but make sure you t

Yelp
$6 Grapefruit Spritz was perfect!!! Just what I needed to start the night. Just beet it was also a hit in my party. The paloma not so much.
google avatar

Kat M.

Yelp
Finally tried this place out with some friends for happy hour. I love the ambiance, the outdoor seating and the view. Limited self parking spots but there is free valet so that's a plus. My fav drink to get is the Paloma and the pizza and the spinach dip is a must. They also have daily specials, so check them out

Yelp
Been here a couple times, and never been disappointed! The service has always been consistently fast and attentive, and the happy hour prices are amazing! I highly recommend the crab cake bites ($8 for happy hour), and the pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Found the pizza a little oily, but the flavor was nonetheless delicious. Drinks are really good too, and not too sweet, which I like. Great views from the patio as well! Only cons I can think of is the parking situation. You can park in the garage and walk over, or there's complimentary valet for Hungrys/Upstairs
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
I've been to Upstairs twice now and it's a fun spot for Happy Hour with friends. They have many different seating areas depending on what setup you like or how many people are in your group. The froze and frozen Bellini are delicious! While typically a summer drink, you can truly enjoy these at time of the year in Houston. I recommend the pizzas and Mac and cheese on the happy hour menu!
google avatar

Melanie C.

Yelp
Solid bar, great view, perfect for a quiet, relaxing evening with friends. The happy hour deal is $9 for select cocktails. I took full advantage and ordered two basil gimlets (which were really solid), a spicy pineapple margarita (which really was not my favorite), and a blueberry lemonade (which was a little to sugary for my taste, but certainly yummy). Overall, this bar is such a nice vibe and the gimlet was so solid, that I am giving it four stars.
google avatar

Preston I.

Yelp
So I came here with a friend for happy hour on a Monday. The drinks tasted good, but they lacked a noticeable punch. The chips and spinach dip appetizer was just okay, and the same goes for the service. Despite that, this place gets major points for location, setup, and ambiance. It exudes young and classy and has rooftop seating. You can't beat a rooftop bar in the summertime! I can definitely see this spot getting packed with young professionals on the weekends. I have to come back on a Friday night or to give happy hour another shot.

Timothy C.

Yelp
Great cocktails, food and ambiance. They have a terrace and lounge seating available. Multiple fans and Tvs to watch. Even had Timothy make a few special drinks for us. Makers Mark Luxardo cherries were killer! I wanted to eat them all up. Happy Hour every day of the week. Brunch is on Saturday and Sunday from 10-3. Be sure to stop and check this spot out. Dez, Jimena Daniela, Cody and Deven are always behind the bar to help. Floor Managers Kay and Cecillio are always around.

Yelp
Soooo I love coming to this place but today was just a little different... with it being Memorial Day I can understand things being a little different too. So today I sat at the downstairs bar for the first time because upstairs was closed, and I was not impressed. The bartender took a about a minute or 2 just to say hello when only one person was at the bar. Before I came in the restaurant I knew exactly what I was getting because I missed it so much. With the rest of my stay, nothing made me feel great stopping here today. Once I received my drink, I was never able to tell him if I needed anything else, which I did, until my appetizer came out. After the appetizer, I was never checked upon until I was almost done. Needless to say I know I sound like I'm just going on and on about complaints, but I am a bartender myself and even if the quietest person is sitting at my bar I'm going to make sure they are enjoying every moment. The last thing that threw me left was, as I'm sitting in front of the open kitchen at the bar, I hear a server talk to the cooks, as if no customers were around. He tells the cook what he was asking for was for some crazy lady upstairs, which all she wanted was sautéed onions, crazy! I know. I stay far, in willowbrook, but I will return only because I prefer this location over memorial, and will definitely go back to the upstairs spot where I always enjoy. P.s. food was amazing as always, the best interaction today was the hostess.

Yelp
Review #8 This was my first time back after the yelp elite event when it was first renovated! I loved it just as I loved it the first time! Rice Village is always a great place to go for food and drinks. You'll find patrons 21 years of age and older. Not just young or older. Located upstairs from the trendy and always busy - - Hungry's. Yes, I said trendy - so don't dress like a slum. Head inside and on to the stairs. Self parking (which can be tight) or complimentary valet. Just remember to tip. Spacious. Inside and outside seating. Outside overlooks Rice. Inside has bar seating and tables and couches. Catch the game on TV or just catch up with friends. Happy hour from 4-7. Great cocktails and food. Perfect for dates, parties and events, get together and such. There is a private area which I'm sure you can reserve. Wait staff are all attentive and bar tenders are friendly.

Yelp
Oh happy hour, how I've missed you. I had yet to dip into the Upstairs. This is the 21+ section of Hungry's, and obviously it is located upstairs. Clever or logical... Undecided. My co-worker's birthday gave me the opportunity. I rolled in about 530. The parking lot, which is much larger after they built the new place, was full. The valet guy was turning people away. I found a spot down the road and meandered over. Happy hour last til 7. They have a small selection of drinks and food at a discount. I went with 2 Old Fashioneds, a glass of wine, and the Salmon Dip. The drinks and food were top notch. No complaints whatsoever. The service, however, left me wanting. Not for lack of trying. The boss, or manager of whoever she was, was trying very hard to get everyone to do what they needed and was helping wait the tables as well. But trying to train all the service staff at once was like herding cats. Maybe because it's new, it took forever to get our waiter to come back. And to get the checks, and then one person didn't get a check and we waited. And I eventually just waltzed up to the bar and expedited the process. But I will say, I was in pressed by another server. I stayed after my group left to enjoy the ambience a bit longer. She was very attentive, and came by twice in the short time I was in that section. I'll be back again. Hopefully I can give that 5th star next time.

Yelp
This place has a large patio with a good very on a nice day. The happy hour is pretty good as well. When we were there (about 4:00 on a Friday), they seem under staffed. Our waitress tried to come over when she could. Their happy hour drinks are pretty good. The old fashion was standard, which is a good thing, and the paloma was well made. We ordered the wings off the HH menu as well which were pretty good. Two frustration, and maybe this is normal, but the valet leaves your car unlocked. My car was unlocked and so was the car next to mine. My friend accidentally got in the wrong car (same model and color). Second, the valets park in all of the self parking spots first.
