Google
Absolutely poor excuse of a “5 cheese pizza” especially for $16 each. Undercooked, and definitely didn’t have the cheeses described. It literally had regular cheddar cheese on it, not white cheddar, and definitely no ricotta. I asked the employee who handed it to me if it was regular cheddar, and he said he didn’t know, that it was some “shredded combination of cheeses.” I included a picture from their site of the item and what I actually got. This place is truly robbing people. I have submitted a refund request online.

Brian Michalski

Google
Let's face it, the only reason you're eating here is because none of the other options in Terminal C are appealing. The pizza is significantly below average by NJ standards, but probably average in other areas. Sauce is too sweet, bake times inconsistent, etc. Like the rest of EWR, the service here is what really stands out. The employees are in no rush to make the pizzas and don't seem to recognize the rush of an airport. OTG staffs this spot at the bare minimum. As a result, it takes 15-20 mins to get a pizza here.

Daniel Grskovic

Google
If you like thick dough & undercooked pizza this place is for you. Its pretty fast but you get a doughy pizza with undercooked cheese and not enough sauce for $20. But its the only hot food in baggage claim. Only for the desperate. Workers were friendly though.

Scott Baker

Google
I ordered a pizza at their kiosk, only for a staff member to walk out afterward and tell me they did not have pizza but could not process a refund. I was directed to an online form instead for a refund request but I never heard back. Why are they even taking orders if they have no ability to fulfill them, unless it’s just to use their convoluted refund process to make you forget you even requested a refund? Total scam.

Google
Ordered food through the machine and it literally took almost 30 minutes. There were initially 2 workers but 1 kept leaving and coming back and would just stand there watching the other worker do his job like ? Burnt my pizza because they forgot it in the oven and it took so long for them to realize. Literally took the pizza out and threw it onto the box and I asked for Margherita pizza and gave me 3 pieces of basil? For $18?? Don’t recommend at all.

Pranav Nawani

Google
Bunch of liars at this place Charged me premium price for pizza and gave me plain cheese pizza. One person said we are out of stuff other said I mixed in sauce. Three claimed to be CHEF of one Pizza. Usually I don’t care but this was worst of kind experience Never seen cheaters and liars of this kind including Chef and Manager.

Veronica Parise

Google
Absolutely ridiculous. All ovens were full and the 2 ladies just stood around until all were empty and then finally started making the next round of pizzas. This is absolutely snail pace ridiculous service for an airport. One is making them finally now that all ovens are empty and the other is just standing around.

Lauren P

Google
Why's everybody rating this so poorly? The marg pizza was great. Added Italian sausage to it. Did I pay $30 for it? Yes. But what do you want expect at the airport. At least it was good!!

Mike O.

Yelp
Not bad for airport pizza for the price. The pizza was large enough to share between two or even a few more. I got a pesto, sausage pizza. They cook them fairly quickly and the reason for three instead of four stars was the woman working there was pretty grouchy. Okay though.

Michael K.

Yelp
Understaffed for a Saturday at 6pm. One worker was making all the pizzas. We got our pizza after 25 minutes even though they cook fast in the 650-degree ovens. At least they make the dough fresh. When our pizza came out, the dough stuck to the pizza "stone" (they use thin metal trays) and the worker had to tear it off using the pizza peel. We lost like $2 of our pizza lol. The pizza itself wasn't bad. A bit salty, with the toppings lazily put on by an unmotivated worker who needed help with the many orders.

Cynthia A.

Yelp
Grabbed a bite to eat near our terminal from Uptop. It was my first time eating from this food vendor. To order you have to use the kiosk. I loved that you could watch the pizza being made in front of you. I don't think you're able to purchase just a slice. A pie is big enough to a share between 2 people. It was filling and convenient. Not the best pizza I've ever had but it got the job done. Also note it's takes a while to get your pizza so don't order from here if you're in a rush.

Mark C.

Yelp
Yo, what's up dudes and dudettes! It's Captain 619, dropping in with a gnarly review for Uptown Pizza in Newark Airport, New Jersey. So I snagged one of their pies for $18 before catching a wave back to San Diego. They whip it up fresh, but it's still got that fast food vibe, ya know? Took it all the way home to Cali and, honestly, it wasn't the best slice I've ever had, but it was decent enough to keep my stoke alive. I was hoping for something a bit more epic, but hey, they don't do delivery, so I had to roll with it. If you find yourself cruising through Newark, give it a shot, but don't expect to be totally amped. Catch ya later, shredders!

Lorna M.

Yelp
Stopped here for food before our flight. Had the ricotta pesto sausage pizza. It was delicious. Would highly recommend!! Service was also good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Jose C.

Yelp
Half hour later after I placed my order, the guy started making it. This is insane. I don't like to complain, but this company needs to train their employees.

Vivek D.

Yelp
This place has so much promise when you look at the exterior, yet the pizza is sadly disappointing and not worth the long wait (20+ minutes). I'm trying to figure out what takes them so long to make these pies. It really should be a quicker turnaround, since Terminal C is usually humming. Worse, our margharita pizza had no basil. I'd have been better off ordering a plain cheese pizza instead. Second, the pizza wasn't sliced properly and it was hard to separate. Once I did, the cheese basically came off the slice. It was a mess, but we were hungry. The price is what it is and we split the pizza between 3 people, so it was fine. I just wish OTG can retrain the staff to learn how to make these pies faster.

ashourena j.

Yelp
If u guys see how crappy the guy that makes the pizza is he had the worst attitude nasty personality he shouldn't even be behind the table cooking a bad name he doesn't even have courtesy to answer one simple question let alone make a pizza worst pizza I have ever had it wasn't even cut now I see why they are so slow the guys is a complete jerk!!!

Jose G.

Yelp
UPTOP PIZZERIA AT NEWARK AIRPORT. Horrible customer service. Every time stop by they the employees are on break no matter the hour and I have to wait 30+ minutes watch all of them doing nothing of on their phones. They behave like they don't get paid to work, like they are doing you a favor or giving you thr food for free. If you don't want to work there just quit and stop making every one life miserable.

Amy O.

Yelp
I think Costco pizza is edible. This reminded me of Costco pizza but it was worse. If I had a lot of hungry kids to feed at the airport, this might be an option to consider. As a plus, it didn't take long to get the pizza. Also as a plus, they were nice and showed me how to use an airline voucher (you need to enter a mysterious zip code that United didn't provide which was 60173) so that gains a star but the pizza was not very good.

Caleb C.

Yelp
Whoever was working 3/6/24 from 6-7 pm were the rudest staff members I've ever encountered. One was on her phone the whole time doing the job with one hand and the other was barely checking the pizzas and burned two of them to throw out. This is ridiculous. If you want food before your flight DO NOT go here.

Nidhi P.

Yelp
Mediocre pizza at the terminal. When you are in a rush to find something quick to eat, This is the place to go. But keep in mind, there is a bit of a wait so I wouldn't risk it if You have very little time before you board.

Moze C.

Yelp
This place should re-name itself: Down Low Pizzeria. I've never seen someone make a pizza more slowly. The place proves the adage: you cannot fake competence. Unless you have 30 minutes for a pizza that could be made in 5, you should walk the other way. Sad.

Sam X.

Yelp
DO NOT get any food here. I got a breakfast stromboli and halfway through eating it, realized that it was not properly baked and was filled with RAW DOUGH. I really hope I do not get sick from food poisoning. All the kiosks here in this food court are terrible. Avoid!!!!

Mrs B.

Yelp
ridiculous vendor to have in an airport as they cannot make the pies fast enough...nor do they have a way to govern demand despite having a limited number of ovens. You could end up missing your flight waiting for you pizza and there is no time given in estimate or anything. This is a horrible execution of what should be a good idea.

Daniel V.

Yelp
Took forever for my order to get it wrong at the end. They also were taking instead of making the pizza half of the time

tim c.

Yelp
Waited over 20 minutes for a pizza. Lady slowly preparing crusts in front of customers while we waited. No urgency. Won't come back

Dave A.

Yelp
Pizza looked like it was thrown in a box and shaken up then put in the oven to bake. Not a care in the world by the staff at all. Only reason this place is probably still open is the fact it's in the airport and options are limited. Worst 20 Bucks I've ever spent.

P G.

Yelp
Stay away if you can, ordered 2 Pizzas.. both uncooked, flour sticking to hand. Appreciate they making one of Pizzas again when I pointed out that they added meat piece on my veg Pizza, I do not appreciate the careless attitude while preparing food.

Dwaine W.

Yelp
Well I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Was looking forward to trying pizza in New Jersey but I should have waited till I left the airport. The crust was under cooked and very floppy un foldable. And very hard to eat. The sauce had great flavor though. If I wasn't trapped in the airport till the rest of the crew gets here I would skipped airport food

Raymond L.

Yelp
So at Newark airport and decided to try this quick pizza joint. You have to scan qr code to order on your phone. Ordered a margarita pizza and when I got it, there was missing the basil. I kindly asked where's the basil and they said ,oh we ran out. But I ordered a margarita pizza which is cheese, sauce and basil. Oh well there's my $18 if a cheese pizza.

Tiffanie S.

Yelp
Served it's purpose, there was no way in hell I was rolling the dice on airport sushi or seafood before boarding a 6 hour flight nor could I justify $50 on mediocre steak so I chose pizza. It's not crappy Sbarro or Pizza Hut which no respectable Jersey person would eat, but it's big enough for two. Service is slow but like the rest of the world they have two women working hard to crank the pies out so I waited 20 minutes. Cheese was heavy and definitely not fresh mootz as what usually is on a margarita pie, and even though I had a meal waiting for me in first class I really didn't want airline food which is also always a gamble. $26 for a pie, soda and tip (yes you should be tipping these individuals get with the program people).

Elle F.

Yelp
Don't know why this place is rated so high. Mediocre pizza at its finest. The spinach was so watery, had no flavor whatsoever , And it was super soggy. How pizza should NOT taste when it comes out of the oven . If you're having a pizza craving.... keep walking or You'll find yourself disappointed. Guess that's airport food for you !

Julio Cesar B.

Yelp
The pizzas are very good. The dough is very well made and it's very soft. We tasted Margherita, five cheese and Pepperoni pies. Both great. Unfortunately they didn't have spinach for the artichoke pie. :( The staff is friendly and helpful. You order by interacting with an electronic menu, so you don't need to talk to anyone to order yours. Useful and fast. I recommend as the best place to eat in the airport.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Avoid this spot at all costs unless you have over an hour to wait. I came here an hour and 15 mins before my flight and was still late. They were busy but not crazy busy, they had many ovens so I'm confused as to why this took forever. I asked the lady multiple times which I wasn't even acknowledged.. she heard me looked at the screen and said nothing to me. I overheard her dealing with customers and was so rude, either ignoring like she did me or giving an attitude. They should at least put a sign that pizza will take 30 mins (mine was 57 mins). It was insane, people that ordered after me were getting their pizza before me, mind you I had the margarita one with nothing extra and still waited. The pizza is ok but I had no basil.. and I wasn't going to turn around and deal with them again. Find another spot.

Heber P.

Yelp
I was craving NY pizza and I saw this place at the airport. The pizza was delicious but the employees had attitude with everyone that asked them a question about the pizza. The pizza took 20 minutes to make, I'm glad I had a big layover 2 stars because the pizza was good

Sarah F.

Yelp
Pizza is one of my fave food groups, I try to have pizza at least once a month from a place that I can't make on my own. So as I was killing time in Newark airport, killing so much time I had breakfast and then a late lunch I wasn't sure what to try. I dont think of a certain type of food when I think of Jersey. Thankfully someone was kind enough to make a suggestion of pizza to me, and I am so glad that they did! I think in middle America we favor pizza with a crust of some sort, now I'm from the Chicago area so one could say I grew up with lasagna pizza, but I don't discriminate when it comes to pizza. Uptop pizza is awesome, I love a good thin crust! The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, and the slices just the right size. So thankful that there was a store within one of the all purpose stores. Jersey pizza is delicious

Kelly S.

Yelp
Over all the pizza was delicious, especially for being in an airport. You place your order on one of the ipads, choosing a preset pizza or make your own. Unfortunately there is no option for half toppings, I went with a basic pepperoni and cheese for $13. Once you place your order you get a print out and walk to a different machine to pay, seemed odd to me you couldn't just pay at the ipad. This place was really busy, took about 15 mins to get my pizza. They only had garlic powder available to add to your cooked pizza, they need to add Parmesan cheese. Once you grab your order (everything is to go) then find a table near the gates and dig in. Pizza was amazing just need to work on the process.

Clare B.

Yelp
This was truly the worst pizza I have ever tasted. Sauce was sweet and cheese was gritty.

Gregory B.

Yelp
I would give 3.5 if it were an option. Decent pizza. Pretty soft dough, but the ingredients were a bit runny and made the pizza slightly watery. I never really care how my food looks, but it did look like the toppings were just thrown on top. Wait time was also 40mins, so keep that in mind for connecting flights.

O. L.

Yelp
I had a good experience overall. Pizza was delicious. I'm a big pizza fan n love pizza. Had a layover in Newark n had to try some New York pizza since I'm from California. Cheese had nice pull n sauce was on point. People with negative comments have their right but also making negative comments on anything other than the pizza need to get up to date with technology. Ordering was easy and simple, very straight forward- its on an iPad. Also don't expect bargain pizza in an airport, you're paying for convenience- Anyhow Pizza was delicious for being served in an airport n would definitely try it again.

Michael G.

Yelp
Lights on and people in the kitchen but told me they are closed at 7pm on a Sunday. Online it says open. She's just sitting back behind the counter on her phone not taking orders.

Anugya M.

Yelp
So to be fair, I should have known better because when does airport food not cost the price of your first born child and taste bland. But I don't know why, I had high hopes for this place. Maybe because I could see the pizzas being made and put in the mini ovens in front of me and I thought there's no way this can be messed up. It's the same idea as MOD pizza or Blaze pizza but just worse. The pizzas are decent sized and definitely too large for 1 person. It would be perfect for either sharing or saving for leftovers. It did take ~25 minutes, but the lady warned us and it was sad seeing one person man the entire counter. She was in charge of making the pizzas, baking the pizzas, pulling out the pizzas, and dealing with the customers so major props to her. I didn't even have a problem with the wait because I was the one willing to stand there. I was excited when I got my warm spinach, artichoke pizza. I hadn't eaten all day and could feel the anticipation building, and then I took my first bite. I was disappointed. The pizza just tasted a little salty and had no other flavor. The spinach and artichokes were not evenly mixed and were concentrated in the center. Get a cold sandwich from somewhere else or wait to get out of the airport to treat yourself to some proper NYC style pizza, but don't recommend coming here. It's too expensive, bland, and just not worth it.

Tommy T.

Yelp
No regrets having this airport pizza to tide us over before our flight. It's located in the sizeable food court. We ordered a Pepperoni pizza, small personal size. This was an adequate pizza. One small pizza filled the two of us up before our flight out. The dough was powdery and floury on bottom. More do than crispy on the bottom. The cheese and the pepperoni all worked together. It's pizza, nothing more and nothing less. If in the mood for pizza before a flight, it might be worth picking up a slice in a city and bringing it to the airport. Not sure this pizza is worth having again.

Emma S.

Yelp
Such a confusing set up and took 20 mins for a pizza absolutely no urgency to any orders. Better off skipping it.

Shraddha R.

Yelp
This place is inside Global Bazaar. It's a standard grab and go place. You can order via the ipad in front and pick up your order. You pay at the payment kiosks once you pick up the order. The service is fairly quick as there are 4 mini ovens to keep up with the orders. Ordered white base pizza with mushrooms. The crust was more like Neopolitan style so not too heavy on the bread. The flavors were strictly okay. The topping was not uniform around the pizza and the base lacked some flavor. It was a soft and fresh nonetheless. Would probably skip the white base if I order this the next time. Paid about $14 for a single pie which is fair by airport standards.

Devi K.

Yelp
Not a bad choice for casual airport dining. There are a few different pre-designed pizza choices or you can make your own. My husband I split a make-your-own pizza and chose pesto with mushroom, red pepper and mozzarella. A little too cheesy (and therefore salty and heavy). Customers place their orders on a tablet (things like less/more cheese is not a customizable option so it is not possibly to *fully* customize your pizza), and payments are made on another tablet. The coolest thing is that you can pay with either cash or United miles. It's a pretty good way to spend your United miles (approx 100 miles to a dollar) especially if you don't travel often enough to save up for a ticket.

Heather U.

Yelp
Took 30 minutes for my cheese pizza. The pizza was awful and disgusting and not even cooked. I had to throw it in the garbage. I couldn't wait another 30 minutes for another pizza so I walked back over quickly and told a lady and a manager from Uptop Pizzeria and showed them pictures of the pizza and they told me that they were going to give me a full refund please. see pictures below we still have not gotten a refund yet. I would like a manager to please write me back or send me an email back. The refund should be. $20.67. My pizza dough was raw and not cooked. Awful!!!!!

Ken N.

Yelp
Every single employees there were so rude, unprofessional and mean to everyone. None of them know how to talk to customers nicely, they need to be train in customer service. No one even have a smile or know how to say thank you. Food were okay, not the best but okay.

Lauren O.

Yelp
We waited 45 minutes for one of the most expensive and underwhelming pizzas I've ever had. It's tiny, undercooked, watery, and stuck to the bottom of the box. Really disappointed. I'd suggest going somewhere else.

Scott D.

Yelp
When you go in terms of "Airport food" this pizza is pretty delicious. Not the most eye appealing, also not the cheapest, however if you are looking for something that will fill you up on you're six hour flight to LA this is what you want to get! Be advised if you are in a rush it does take about 7-15 minutes for them to make the pizza depending how busy they are.

Sebastian T.

Yelp
Ive had some rough pies in my life but this one was definitely the worst. Part of it had to do with the worker being careless about the quality... gas station pizza would have blown this pizza away. Completely undercooked, worker could care less about putting any effort in cutting the pizza so i had one huge wet soggy tortilla. Each slice literally fell apart as i tried to peel it. This is disrespectful to pizza.

Christopher T.

Yelp
You can always gauge how good a pizza is by the taste of the cheese and this pizza fails this test on so many levels. I would rate the taste of the crust as well if not for the fact that the staff are not properly setting the timers or paying attention to them and burning the pizza so badly is that all you can taste is ash for the crust.

Don S.

Yelp
Great pizza, especially when you consider it's in the middle of a very busy airport and only two people are making everything. Good food, freshly made and great service. The cooks were pleasant and smiling, and made everything correctly, which is truly amazing as the place is always hopping with orders. Well done!

Eli S.

Yelp
I had a connecting flight in Newark and got a cheese pizza (w/ red sauce) at Uptop pizzeria. The cheese was chewy and actually had strings as you pulled away each bite. The crust was pretty basic- not really chewy or crispy or thin. Not something that detracts. The pizza was very light on sauce- that was the most noticeable thing. I would've liked more sauce, or sauce so good it makes up for it. Price was pretty good for a (9"?) pizza at the airport for ~$10.50. They had a quick way of ordering, where you order on one of the iPads, then get a receipt and pay at another self-service iPad, then wait at the counter for your pizza. No line to order. Overall 4/5.

Shawnta S.

Yelp
This location has the worst customer service. The entire staff was rude, the lady making the pizza was rude. Went to ask a question and he literally blew me off and several others.. It took an hour for the pizza, almost missed our flight, as well as several others. Waited all that time and the pizza was runny and under cooked. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

Jennifer O.

Yelp
I was super happy to see that Newark has some affordable food options. I got a pizza here for around 10$ and it was plenty of food. The pizza wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good for airport food. If you're flying through Newark, you definitely could do worse.

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Super delicious as usual, a culinary highlight of the airport and my trip. Took 10 minutes but...oh, the perfectly charred crust!!!! Worth the hassle of boarding late and not having nearby space for my carryon!

Chidu K.

Yelp
There is no shortage of food options in terminal C ( United Airlines) as they have gone through a major makeover. Every restaurant seat in Terminal C is equipped with an iPad and diners can scan their boarding pass for updates on their flight, play video games, and even order products from the terminal's shops to be brought to their table. Most places look trendy and upscale with good looking menus and food pictures. Thankfully we yelped for reviews of the restaurants and surprised to find that many of them were rated 2 stars or less. So we decided to try the pizzeria inside the global bazaar. Here, you order the pizza on an iPad in front of the store, then pay at any of the automated counters in the bazaar area and then pick up the pizza when it is done. The cool thing is you can pay using United freq flyer miles which is what we did. We ordered a make your own pizza. Our choice was pesto sauce with mozzarella, mushrooms and red pepper. It was a thin crust pizza that was slightly more cheesy than I would like. Overall, pretty happy with the pizzeria and reasonable price compared to all the fancy looking options in terminal C.
