Chef Daniel Scordato’s foothills burger counter elevates classics with Certified Piedmontese beef and smart toppings. The Sonoran Burger drew praise from Phoenix Magazine and Tucson Foodie for capturing the city’s flavor in burger form.

Google
Uptown Burger absolutely delivered. Every bite of the Piedmontese beef burger was juicy, rich, and perfectly cooked — medium-rare with deep flavor and a buttery finish, without being overly fatty. The sweet potato fries were crisped up just right, no sogginess in sight. The bread was fresh, the sauce was on point, and that au jus dip? Straight up a game changer. This place doesn't just serve burgers — it serves respect to your taste buds.

Google
Ask for extra napkins. This place has juicy burgers. The Sonoran Burger is the best tasting southwestern styled burger around. If you want a taste of AZ, this is The burger. Roasted Poblano Pepper, Oaxaca Cheese, Cholula Relish with Jalapeño and Corn, Lettuce, Fresh sliced Avocado, served on a warmed Brioche Bun... perfection.

Google
The Tuscan burger was amazing & cooked perfectly. The sweet potato fries were also very good. They have a small patio and indoor dining also. The restaurant is full service and they also have a full bar.

Jenya has now been our server twice. Both times she’s been absolutely lovely and served us with a huge smile. The quality at Uptown is like no other and when we fly in from out of state this is always our first stop! I had the Grape and Gorgonzola salad this time around and the flavor and freshness was perfect!

Burger Cravings Satisfied at UpTown Burger We were staying at a nearby hotel and had a hankering for a burger, so we decided to give UpTown Burger a try. Their burgers are double-patty delights loaded with fresh, flavorful ingredients. We sampled two: • BLT Avocado: Applewood bacon, avocado, vine-ripe tomato, American cheese, caramelized onions, shredded lettuce, dill pickle, and Uptown sauce on a brioche bun. Juicy and perfectly balanced! • Sonoran: Roasted poblano peppers, melted Oaxaca cheese, creamy jalapeño, fresh corn, Cholula relish, shredded lettuce, and avocado—all on a brioche bun. If you like a bit of Southwestern flair, this is for you. We also shared some sweet potato fries, which arrived cold at first. However, our server was quick to replace them with a hot, crisp batch—much better! We decided to wash everything down with a couple of beers. One standout was the local SPEEDWAY STOUT at a hefty 12% ABV—it paired brilliantly with the rich flavors of our burgers. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty good after just one pint! The restaurant itself has a great outdoor patio and a comfortable, modern interior—perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. All in all, we were very satisfied with the food and experience at UpTown Burger and would definitely return the next time we’re in town!

Google
My new favorite burger restaurant. The food was excellent. Waitress was just as great and the cost was affordable. This restaurant is across the street from Jane Hamilton Art Gallery which I transport for. So everytime I am there during business hours, I’ll swing by to eat. It is that good.

Google
FINALLY a bomb vegan burger! Loved the service & indoor seating here . Really cute plaza

Google
It might be the best burger in Tucson, and it’s definitely upscale! This Daniel Scordato place has a modern way to order at the front Kiosk (they help you if you are technically challenged) and sit with your beer, wine, or soft drink and wait for them to bring your food to the table in a nice setting. I loved my “French dip with Brie” burger and my wife had an awesome Nashville Chicken sandwich! The beef is amazing! The order of fries was big enough for two! We loved it and also appreciated how they sponsor local non-profits like Southern Arizona Against Slavery (a human trafficking awareness organization)! We will be back! VictorB

Yelp
Visited Uptown Burger for the first time today and must say, this was one awesome burger! We will be back again for more great food, great service and a great location!

Yelp
We had been wanting to try uptown burger for a while. It didn't disappoint! The burger options are numerous. They also offer a vegan Impossible burger which is what we each ordered. The burger was pretty good but a touch too salty for my taste, thus the star deduction. Sides are extra. We ordered the sweet potato fries and they were probably the best I've had in a long time. Service was friendly and quick. I think it would've been perfect if it weren't quite as salty. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Uptown Burger for a mid week dinner date. We arrived around 6:30p and were seated inside right away. They have a covered patio, but we're fans of the cold ac. The staff was friendly and helpful. My wife got a red ale to go with her grilled tuna burger, substitute the bun for coleslaw. On our servers recommendation I ordered the lettuce wrapped French dip burger. We split a large fries and it was just the right amount of food where we were satisfied, full but not stuffed. My wife loved the tuna and it was seared well, where it was still raw on the inside. Tbh e French dip was flavorful and I loved the au jus dipping sauce. If you're looking for a high quality burger Uptown is a great option.

Yelp
I dropped in here yesterday morning to get some takeout. I ordered a French dip sandwich, a tuna sandwich, sweet potato fries, and a corn and pesto side. It came to $50 including tax and tip. My friend and I enjoyed the French dip with au jus, the fries and the corn. The tuna sandwich was left over, so I'll have it for dinner tonight. The three items I tried were all good and the prices reasonable. The vibe of the place itself is modern and upscale. The wait for the food was not long.

Yelp
Restaurants and bars are also about expectations, what type of restaurant are you going to? And everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. It's an interesting place in upscale strip mall, the parking is ok but could be a problem, I went for a late lunch so it wasn't an issue. It was also interesting to see a bunch of high school kids in there getting burgers after school. The service was fast and efficient. It's also about being realistic about the food. I had the regular burger with a small order of sweet potato fries and it was good. If I was in the neighborhood , I might consider this as an option but not as a destination restaurant for me. They also have a at least six to eight craft beers available.

Yelp
Uptown lived up to their reputation among our family. Excellent burgers and the GLUTEN FREE bun held together. Wish they had more beer options - like Stella which has the lowest gluten content. Lovely large patio was dog friendly and service was great.

Yelp
Have heard good things about this place. Love a good burger so knew thid was a place to check out. Their menu looked great, so decided since I was sharing the best plan get and try a few things of the lovely menu. Ordered ahead off their website: their French Dip burger, med rare, sub brioche for ciabatta; Sonoran Burger, med rare; Grape Gorgonzola Salad; and their French Fries. Be careful in that parking lot. But the restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is very helpful. Burgers: so juicy and delicious, salad: colorful and tasty, fries: crispy and yummy. Will I go back? Of course I will, more menu items to try! Def will revisit that French Dip!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch date... loved that their menu wasn't overwhelmingly large with selections. Got the vegan burger & hubby got the Nashville chicken sandwich. Both were delicious - we also got the regular fries & sweet potato fries. I loved the sweet potato - perfectly crispy!! We will definitely be back to try other items off the menu.

Yelp
This is the best burger place in town, juicy and flavorful! The service was great, prompt and pleasant.

Yelp
I stayed at the Embassy, had Uptown each night, I was here. Good food easy to pick up and they think of all the things you will need for take out.

Yelp
As always, the chicken sandwich was on point. I tried many around the city this place uses actual chicken beasts unlike others. The bartenders are always friendly with great service. Plus the view of the mountains is always a plus!

Yelp
Best burger in Tucson! Absolutely love Uprown Burger- it reminds me of what Zinburger was like way back when... The service is friendly and accommodating, the ambience is very nice, but the food is great. My husband and I split the Cobb salad and the Sonoran burger and loved both. Our friends had the ahi sandwich and the salad with chicken that was requested fried rather than the usual grilled. Our server didn't bat an eye, she just got the orders to us perfectly. We were all so happy with our food and drink. I'm just sorry it's taken us this long to try it.

Yelp
Best burgers in Tucson. Incredible beef and it's healthy for you (read the back of the menu about Piedmontese cattle). Amazing fries too.

Yelp
My waitress was amazing. She was very attentive, her answers were right on, she was timely and her attitude was such, I felt she enjoyed her line of work. I will return and bring other friends. If you are seeking a delicious burger with high caliber service, look no further than here.

Yelp
Went for a late lunch yesterday, Monday, (10/21/2024) and because the weather was just so nice I decided to sit on the patio. My server was just absolutely amazing and I can't say enough about how wonderful she took care of me and handled all my requests. Food came out promptly and looked just like the pictures. I ordered the BLT Avocado burger with provolone instead of American (50 cent upcharge to sub), a side of fries and an iced tea. The sandwich was huge, the lettuce crispy, the tomatoes perfect along with the bacon and provolone too. So, what was wrong? The meat. Absolutely tasteless. I don't know. Lots of folks say the meat is great. Maybe it depends on who mixes it up but mine was tasteless and, after all, I went for the burger. So, no mas. Loved my server though!

Yelp
This is becoming one of my favorite restaurants!! Love the casual vibe and everything we have ordered is amazing! I'm a fan of the sit down table service dining they recently started. Can't go wrong with and salad or burger from here. The burgers are huge and messy, so you may result to eating with a fork and a knife. Kiddos love it too! They love upgrading their drinks to milkshakes! I also LOVE that you can get sparkling water instead of tap at no additional charge! Definitely a must go!

Yelp
Just what the doctor ordered on this particular evening. We had a tuna sandwich and a burger both with sweet potato fries all of it was great. The coleslaw on the tuna was ridiculously good.. The patio was quite pleasant to sit out and about a medium busy night. We had perfect service.

Yelp
Nice location at Sunrise and Campbell, but parking can be really crowded with Flemings next door. Good amount of seating including 1/2 dozen outdoor tables, which was where we sat. Traffic noise from Sunrise wasn't too bad, considering. The menu is constrained, but appealing. I ordered the BLT avocado (pictured). There were a number of items I'd like to go back and try. Prices were reasonable. You have two options: 2 x 4 oz well done, or 1 x 8 oz "pink", we all opted for the latter. The BLT avocado, Sonoran and Nashville chicken sandwiches were all hits with our group. The chicken sandwich is massive with just the right amount of heat. The Uptown burger was judged "bland" by the consumer, but that's kinda what it is, kinduva In-n-out burger. The selection of tap beers is small, but we all found something to wash down our burgers. I was pleasantly surprised by Uptown - didn't have high expectations going in but we had a great experience and will return.

Yelp
The food was great!! It was the brioche bun that just fell apart on the burgers. The restaurant was busy, which is good thank you that's good. We just felt that you needed more employees working!! And it was a Tuesday night!! Thank you Danny oh and thank you for not having kiosk machines anymore

Yelp
We walked in and was advised to sit anywhere and a server would be with us. Yes, this place is pricey ($15) burgers but I wanted a good burger. The server was nice, answered all our questions. We decided to split the Nashville chicken sandwich and the French dip burger. They give you the option of getting a good medium to rare burger by making an 8oz patty, but if you want it medium well or burnt you can get two 4oz patties. We got a side of corn and pesto and a side of small fries (plenty for 2). The chicken was good, but the real star was the burger. It was damn tasty, clearly real quality beef. And in the end we walked away at just over $20 a person. A great burger with good service. I will be back.

Yelp
We sat on the outside patio for my brother in laws graduation and it was a great time! The service was great and super fast with our large group of 20. I ordered the BLT Avocado burger with 2 patties and it was delicious! It was more melty and cheesy than the one large patty. My husband ordered the nashville chicken sandwich and liked everything except for the bun. He would rank it a 7/10. It was a little pricey and didn't come with fries so we ordered them as well. The dips they brought out were all very tasty. Overall, I would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Megan P.

Yelp
The food here is excellent. The burgers are HUGE like there is no physical way to hold it and eat. Fork and knife is the way to go. Service is top notch too.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow their burgers are great! Their French Dip burger is to die for, a really special treat. Will be coming back regularly!

Yelp
I do give this place 5 stars solely on how good that Uptown Burger was. That is a fantastic hamburger. I did order the Uptown Burger with 2x 4oz patties and would probably go with the single next time. The french fries are very disappointing I can't understand coated fries. Same quality of fries you get at the airport Marriott, I find this a bit lazy. The kiosk ordering, self serve drinks and taking a number is a bit impersonal for the price point on the meal.

Joe K.

Yelp
We wanted something close to our hotel and this was right there. Was a great burger and shake.
google avatar

Yelp
Great burgers and ambiance! Been back several times! Try the Gelato for desert, raspberry and chocolate syrup!

Yelp
When I've tried expensive ($13+) burgers in the past - I was usually overwhelmed with toppings/accompaniments that just eclipsed the whole flavor/idea of a good burger. If you're dining in, you order by using one of their touch screens. When you choose your burger, the meat temperature options are 'pink in the middle' or 'medium well (two patties),' if you choose the pink option, you can still request a different temperature option for your meat patty under 'special instructions' or add it to the 'instruction' section. There are no bundled/meal options, so if you want fries, you'll have to add them to your burger order. Uptown's burgers are very juicy, so juicy that it will cause the burger bun to fall apart. For my first burger here, I tried their namesake Uptown burger: Caramelized Onion, Boar's Head American Cheese, Hans Jurgen Dill Pickle Chips, Lettuce, Vine Tomato, Uptown Sauce, Brioche Bun. It was super tasty and kind of like a fancy big mac and I mean that in the most complimentary way. My burger here was piled high. I made no substitutions and did not add anything extra. I was very satisfied with my selection. I added an order of fries. The amount I received seemed to be the same size as an order of biggie fries, if that's a good reference for you. These fries were standard cut and salted. They were piping hot, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm very happy to have tried Uptown and am now a fan.

Madelynn F.

Yelp
I came here on a Wednesday evening. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and an order of sweet potato fries. You walk in and you place your order on a kiosk, then you find a table to sit down and they bring you your food. (They have indoor and patio seating. The patio has a fire place) Our Food arrived rather quickly. The fries were a little overcooked. And the chicken sandwich Was not that great. It's a breaded chicken patty and I'm used to Nashville hot chicken sandwiches having the actual chicken seasoned and breaded with spices, then a sauce. This chicken was just a breaded bland chicken patty and they put some hot sauce on top of the slaw.
google avatar

Yelp
Great! The first time in a long time we tried somewhere new and were not disappointed. One of the best burgers we have had in Tucson. Beef was flavorful, burger delicious. Fries were great; nice and crispy. Service was prompt and friendly, spacious seating inside and out. Will be going back.

Yelp
I wanted to love Uptown Burger, the concept is neat and the location is beautiful but their food quality is a bit inconsistent. A few weeks ago on a weekday I had a great burger and Chinese Chop Salad at Uptown and brought family by to try. When we went for a second time on a weekend it was busier and the burgers came out undercooked. By the time you order a burger and sides, it's not cheap so it's a disappointment when the quality isn't there. You end up spending $20-30 on a burger and fries. I wish you could order a smaller portion of fries as an add on to your burger and make a meal for a cheaper price. As for desserts, I was throughly disappointed and quite surprised. Their gelato lacked flavor and texture, even the toppings couldn't save the poor quality. If I was in the area, I'd probably give Uptown another chance but the keyosk ordering leads to longer wait times, undercooked food, and confusion from patrons. I hope with more time open they can become a place I'd like to frequent.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place ever since I read about their burgers. Today was the day and went with a friend. There is outdoor and indoor seating. There are screens where you order your food. There are good descriptions plus opportunities to add or delete ingredients. There is someone to help you and the young man who helped us was patient and helpful. For the burgee call you have the option of pink in the middle which is one 8 pence patty or medium well which is 2 4 ounce Pattie's which I got. It came with carmelized onions, American cheese, pickle chips lettuce, tomato and "uptown sauce" They have regular or sweet potato fries, coke slaw or corn with pesto as sides. There are also sandwiches and salads. Beverages are deer wine, soda orange juice and shakes and floats. They have soft serve gelato also. I liked the burger which was large and tasty. I had sweet potato fries which was a large portion. Fries were crisp and tasted good. The soda option was self serve with a large cup. We are outside which was nice. One table was next to a fire and there were also some heaters above. I enjoyed the meal for taste, quality and size and would go again

Yelp
My wife and I just ordered salads, but the presentation and taste were amazing. Would love to try the burgers but we were just here a couple of days.

Yelp
Yesterday, had an occasion to be talking to an acquaintance, talking burgers, I had eaten at the new restaurants La Encantada, more on that one later. Anyway, he asked if I'd tried this place, I said, didn't even know it was there, and I'm always in this area. So..., went there ordered the Sonoran burger, when I say ordered, there's a touch screen, the manager shows you how to use it, simple and efficient, I liked that. They use what they call certified Piedmontese beef from ranches across the Midwest, you can look it up and find out how they treat their cows, etc. The Sonoran was absolutely delicious, the beef very tasty, it has roasted poblano, Oaxaca cheese, creamy jalapeño, fresh corn, chelula relish, shredded lettuce, avocado on a brioche bun, yummy..., I had the self serve tea, and sweet potatoes, the beef was perfectly cooked medium, the way I like it. This is a Daniel Scordato restaurant, he own Vivace. The place is modern, simple and efficient with outdoor seating, Loved the burgers, go try this place. Across from La Encantada, , where Flemings is located. 6370 N Campbell, Tucson AZ 85718

Yelp
Self checkout for a burger is an absolute joke, and asking for a tip on top is criminal. Burger was falling apart by the time I received it. they truly are and uptown burger living in their uptown world. at least the fries were hot and crispy.

Venessa G.

Yelp
Service is great! Best hamburgers in town! Also don't forget to try the milkshakes these are also so good. Whatever you order here you wont be disappointed.
google avatar

Will P.

Yelp
The service was attentive and professional. The ambiance was light and friendly. But the star of the show are the variations and taste of their burgers, the drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic were a perfect pairing to wash them down.
google avatar

Adriana S.

Yelp
Very disappointing 2nd experience with the snobbery with all the female servers and especially with the lesser quality in the food. We were served the sweet potato fries in a cheaper and smaller 'paper plate' with NO aioli like the 1st time. We loved the elevated round black container that you just could add a lid and take the rest home if you wanted. That was gone. Portion sizes were noticeably smaller with our salad and the sweet potato fries., when we asked what was going on why the changes? They noted that Danny's nephew had taken over and made cutbacks. When you are spending $65 + tip (no drinks even) for two burgers and a salad, this does not allow for that in our opinion. We will not be back!
google avatar

Kenneth W.

Yelp
Good food. Nice manager who tried very hard to be helpful. Some of the worst handicapped accessibility I have ever seen. The computerized system for ordering requires either previous experience or bringing an eleven year-old to help.

Jake D.

Yelp
Staff was nice and friendly but I went with a group we all ordered Dr Pepper to drink and the Soda was flat and watery and the posted liquor license had been expired since 9/30/24 Yet they are still serving alcohol

Yelp
Best burger and fries in town!!!! Awesome shakes and grown up ice cream drinks like grasshoppers, pink squirrels, and brandy Alexanders! Great location and nice atmosphere!

Mark N.

Yelp
Burgers, drinks, and desserts are all excellent options! Staff are, courteous, friendly and excellent service!

Yelp
Great food. The Ahi tuna burger is the best! Very cozy place to dine as well. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This establishment rocks! The Uptown burger w/cheese is the bomb dot com, and the Nashville spicy chicken is bangin'! My husband and I could only eat 1/2 of our sandwiches. The burger med well was cooked to perfection and is flavorful and juicy. Chicken was moist, and the hot sauce wasn't overbearing. The crunchy coleslaw is delicious and I love those fries. Skinny, hot, and crisp! The service was fast and efficient as you order from the counter, on a computer. The vibe is nice, colorful artwork, nice lighting, very peaceful. Outside is a cute eating spot with a cozy fireplace. This is our 2nd visit. I like Zinburger, but there's a new Burger in town!
google avatar

Jonathan A.

Yelp
This is probably my new favorite place for burgers in this town! They have an amazing story on how they get their beef and it is one of the best burgers I have had! Everything about this place is awesome! From their sodas, to fresh lemonade and even their Kombucha which they have on tap is so good! It is a little more expensive for your average burger, but this is well worth what you pay! Such a great burger place you have to give a try! You'll be glad you did! Cheers.

Dorothy S.

Yelp
Love the burgers here. I get the Sonoran burger with extra jalapeños which is terrific if you like a little heat. Sit on the patio, it's lovely.
google avatar

Darlene M.

Yelp
I husbands. Wanted to try this restaurant for a few months. Finally got there today and it was worth the trip! The burgers were one of some of the best that we've ever tasted. He had the Tuscan burger medium. The meat was cooked perfectly, and had eggplant and pesto on ciabatta bread. He thought it was great and so tasty. The bread was not dry at all. It was a great sandwich. He also had a side of fries which came hot to the table. They were thin cut, salty and crisp. I had the Sonoran burger pink without a bun. It was really good and spicy. The poblano chili added just the right touch along with the roasted corn. It is a little pricey, but the meat is excellent and the food is great.
google avatar

Marie P.

Yelp
My husband and I were staying at the Embassy Suites while passing through town with our pups and Uptown Burger is a short walk sharing the same parking lot. We decided to get dinner to go and bring it back to the room. For about $40 we split the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Grape & Gorgonzola Salad and added chicken, and a small side of fries. All said I was impressed with the quality and portions we received. It was more than enough for the 2 of us to split and really, really delicious. I would definitely eat here again when we're back in the area.
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!!! Burgers are off the hook, and staff are friendly. The burgers are made with Piedmontese beef, and are melt in your mouth wonderful. You order your burger and a drink, pay and they bring everything to you. There is a nice patio outside with a gas fireplace to keep you toasty on those rare Tucson chilly days. The French fries are hot and crispy...(and just made). The roasted corn and pesto side.........way to separate yourself from most other places. The flavor is delightful.. roasted corn with the layers of flavor from the pesto. I can not wait to go back and try other burgers and sandwiches.
