Uptown Diner

Came here because it was open late and serves breakfast and lunch all day. My boyfriend and I were both a little shocked at the prices when we saw the menu. However, the portions are huge! We were both really hungry and neither of us finished our plates. The uptown burger was really tasty and it came with a gigantic pile of tater tots. My boyfriend's gyro omelet was delicious and the hash browns were nice and crispy.

Come in, grab a menu, and seat yourself to a wonderful dining experience! I really hope you get Ms. Jonah as your server! I was having a hard time picking between the French toast and an eggs Benedict. Ms. Jonah said “They are both great here, but you can have French toast anywhere. You WILL NOT FIND EGGS BENEDICT LIKE THIS ANYWHERE!” I ordered the crab cakes Benedict and was right! 10/10 would recommend! I would also recommend you taking a friend and y’all splitting the plate. There is no way one person could eat all the food they give on one order. The food came out fast and was delicious! The coffee was also on point! Would absolutely eat here again!

It’s a hole in the wall, so if your not into places like this, just know. It reminds me of places my Dad used to take me to. The old diner style where they cook right in front of you. The food! I got the Cajun breakfast! Amazing! Come hungry cause they give you a plate full. Will definitely be coming back if I’m in the area. Amazing, amazing food!

Uptown Diner is good at what it does, offering unique comfort food in a welcoming environment that has kept it a pillar of the community for years. Can’t wait to be back.

Support local. Support uptown diner. Nice old school diner, and it's clean. Being hot hard with the construction on Hennepin. So go out and show some love to a nice and clean diner.

We stayed in Uptown recently and were looking for a good breakfast spot. When I saw pictures of the hash browns I knew we had to go. We ended up going twice! The food was delicious with hearty portions. But those hash browns…they need to teach every breakfast place their secret. These were some of the BEST ones I’ve ever had! Hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I actually talked to the kitchen manager on our second visit because they need to know THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE! Nice menu, great staff and fantastic food.

A bust and overly expensive! They had a 7% surcharge to each meal on top of regular tax! Food was subpar (my waffle was fluffy and good) coffee was mediocre. Location of dinner was probably the highlight. Definitely a let down as we were just popping around the city, looking for “good” breakfast. Would not return or recommend! Server seemed knowledgeable and we of course still tipped after all the extra fees

First time in the diner, but not having their food. It was amazing as usual. The service was outstanding.
