The start of the Uptown Farmers Market in April 2020 has definitely been a highlight of the year! It's a great addition to the community as a place to get local produce & goods, and it's very convenient for people walking or biking from around Uptown, in addition to ample parking spaces for driving in.
It's been awesome to see the number of vendors grow over the summer and fall, and the location is spacious to allow for social distancing between the stands. A few of my favorite vendors have been Enderly Coffee, Seven Sisters Farm, Blossom & Bee Bakery, Verdant Bread, Blue Goat Dairy, The Craftsman Beverage Co, Berry Fields Farm, Evans Family Farm and Barber Farms.
The live music is great and the volunteers are friendly & helpful. Also there's always a produce collection table for supporting the community through food donations to a local nonprofit, Roof Above.
The market also accepts SNAP/EBT benefits and offers double bucks for customers to expand SNAP benefits further.
Recently the market started having merch, with the logo on tote bags, T-shirts and hats made made a local business, Pepper Apparel Co.
