The 8 Best Hookah Lounges In Houston

"Uptown Lounge is the best place to go for hookah happy hour. During the week, specials range from half-priced smoke to $4 tequila shots. Karaoke can be heard any night over the loudspeakers as people do their best cover of 112. The menu checks many bar food boxes, but you should prioritize this Galleria spot’s crispy fried pickles and cheeseburger with golden onion rings.  " - gianni greene, chelsea thomas, julie takahashi

Definitely a nice vibe. My bartender was nice and made really good drinks. Get there early for a good table unless you’re gone do a section.

Went for happy hour on a Saturday, the place was kinda dead. The service was TERRIBLE from the minute we walked in!! All the employees were huddled in a corner the ENTIRE TIME. We walked in, seated ourselves. No one even told us we had to order at the bar for hookah and drinks until about 20min after flagging down staff. Mind you they were staring at us the whole time so why not walk over and inform us of how things are ran at your establishment. Anyways, we ordered our drinks and hookah, sat down, about 45min later we tried to flag down staff to change our coals and they all just stared at us. I even said "excuse me" and still nothing. That's when I snapped this pic. Not even a "we'll be right with you" no nothing, just blatant disrespect. If you're having a staff meeting just say that but idk if during happy hour is the appropriate time to hundle around and ignore customers. Customer service is probably the reason this place was so empty on a Saturday evening. We ended up leaving because we couldn't even enjoy the hookah without coals. The only person on top of their job is the camera man asking to take pics. The happy hour deals are nice but the lack of Customer service is enough for me to never want to return. My people have to do better!!

Hit this spot on a Saturday night and be prepared to pay $20 to park. Likely your best option, as I saw ppl car getting towed from a lot next door. The vibe is cool if you like ratchetness, otherwise don’t go. Had a tequila sunrise for $10, which is cheap compared to other spots. There was nowhere to sit based on the amount of people. Definitely a jeans n tennis shoe type of joint, so no need to get dressed for real. Music is what you’d expect based on what I just shared but wasn't my type of crowd.

I gave 3 stars because I like the atmosphere. But if you go there right now, watch out for the waitress with the long blonde braids. Me and my friends got double charged. Lied and said the hookah was $12 but was charged $30 something. It really sucks because I actually gave her a tip and she stole from me and my friends smh. Watch yall totals and account charges! Also ask for RECEIPTS!!

Last night, was my second and LAST time going to uptown. While I understand that security has a job to do, but being outright rude when you haven’t done anything wrong is nasty work. Big girl at the door was very RUDE last night. My friend and I left immediately, the place was practically empty so she did the most for what? No thanks! I’m from Florida and have been apart of the night life, I’ve never experienced treatment like this. People in the parking lot even warned us not to go in- it’s clear why. I hear that security has been acting like this at uptown lately. Either it’s going to get corrected or business is gonna suffer. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Prepare to get your stuff stolen and drinks cleared by some waitresses over there. They work among themselves and pretend as if they don’t know what happened. Never stepping my foot over there again. Stop hiring thieves behind makeups.

Lemme say thisssss, what happens at Uptown, stays at Uptown! If I say, let's go, my friends are pulling up. We love this spot. I have never been disappointed on any level coming here. The DJs are always good. You can't beat the specials on food, hookah, and drinks during the week and weekend. Most of all, there is no cover and a small parking fee. I tried a friend's slider because I'm not much of a burger fan. OMG! It tasted like I was at a cookout in the park. Sheesh. I won't tell you when to go because I want my spot when I get there! Lol.

Great atmosphere for those under the age of 35yrs old. It's stay lit. Dancing and singing all night. The DJ kept the crowd hype. Bottle service and table reservations will allow you have a good night.
