This is a great late night lounge destination. Piano, vocals, drums. A special treat is the bartender is also one of the singers. I've never seen it crowded here. But that also means they don't have a full wait staff and you have to go to the bar to order a drink. I love the place and I will definitely go back

If you haven’t been here yet, you need go. Thursdays are my favorite but honestly, every time I have been, the music is outstanding! The atmosphere is very chill and upscale. Drinks are among the best in town (if not the best). Bartenders, musicians and the owner are always so welcoming. Vonne, one of the bartenders, somehow manages to sing so beautifully while not missing a beat behind the bar. Again, if you haven’t been - go!

Seems like a nice enough place, but… I came to this lounge last night for a friend’s birthday, completely drained after a brutal week — honestly just trying to show up for someone I care about. We sat right up front, which in hindsight might’ve been a mistake. I was quietly resting my head on my friend’s shoulder, eyes closed, letting the music wash over me. Not asleep — just present in a still way. Unfortunately, the singer didn’t take kindly to that. She made repeated comments about the audience "falling asleep" and then singled me out directly, telling me to "wake up" before adding a half-hearted "just kidding" a few seconds later. It felt unnecessary and embarrassing. She went on to harp about tips, which only made things more uncomfortable. I left early, feeling more drained than when I arrived. I don’t know if all their musicians are that rude, but I can’t imagine I’ll be back any time soon.

My wife and I recently visited this bar as we were out celebrating her birthday. My wife loves piano bars and we had a great time. The music was great, the bar was very nice, and the drinks and service were great also. The highlight for us was one of the female bartenders had a headset on and was singing while she was tending the bar. She had a beautiful voice and stayed on perfect tempo as she was making drinks and taking orders. She is way better at multitasking than I am. We were there from about 8:30pm to 10:30pm on a Saturday. It was not very busy which was very surprising considering how much fun the bar was. When we got there, they were playing more upbeat piano bar music with the owner on the keys and him and the bartender singing. At around 10 they switched performers and played more smooth jazz style music which honestly, we didn’t like nearly as much. We left at that point but will definitely be back.

Wow, this place is such a hidden gem! We found it by accident, and were a little concerned with our choice initially upon walking up to it just based on it's location directly off Main and low-key exterior... But WOW! The inside was beautiful, and festive with a lovely lit wreath on the wall. The live music was absolutely delightful! We're definitely going to go back, soon, explicitly for the live music! The bartendress of the evening was somehow singing AND mixing drinks on the fly, incredible. Long story short: give this place a chance!

Someone recommended this NEW lounge so I decided to try it. Loved the vibe service was very friendly. I arrived late Thursday night so I missed the live entertainment but Allen took time to inform me about the other times I can catch it which I appreciate. The bartender Vaughn was great. I Definitely recommend and I'll be back soon.

BEST PLACE EVER!!! Came here for my friend's bachelorette party and it was incredible. The drinks were great. The bartenders were PERFECT! They can sing, they are personable, they are the BEST. We are not from KC, but we will come back for this place. LOVEEEEEEE

KC’s latest upscale jazz bar, Uptown Lounge, had me completely speechless! The jazz was beautiful and the artists took breaks to talk to the crowd. Our bartender even sang while making us drinks at the bar. Spectacular performance all around. The drinks were delicious and packed a punch. If you enjoy the Green Lady lounge in KC but want to avoid the wait…this is THE place! 10/10 recommend.

What an incredible hidden gem. How did I not know?!?! I just went last night and had the best time. The bartenders were knowledgeable and Jake especially was super kind. The crowd was vibrant and growing all throughout the night. Loved my extra dirty martini! The MUSIC on a WEDNESDAY was so good! Talented folks up there that I'd happily listen to weekly. Prices were affordable and there was plenty of space to be able to sit comfortably. We arrived at probably 8:30 or 9 which I'm guessing is fairly early since the band played til 11, but even still it was great! Will be returning...soon.

Went to a boring party. I looked too good to go home. Been wanting to try this lounge. Left the party and walked over here. Heard a duet but only one person on stage. Impressed to discover the mixologist was the second part of the duo. Singing right in front of me. I'm in love and fell in love the moment I walked in the door. Cozy+classy. A hidden gem.

Checked out this new piano bar the other night and was blown away! The bartenders were even singing while also making my cocktails. The darker lighting made for a great atmosphere. They do offer some unique cocktails, my favorite was I am a little chai. This is made with vanilla vodka, white chocolate cream, and chai tea. It was a little sweet and a perfect nightcap. There is tons of seating. We ended up snagging the only couch and getting to be front row for the show. I would absolutely recommend this place if you dig a piano bar.

Special place! Wow. It's classy with an old-school vibe and drinks! We were blown away when we walked in. Loved the brick bar and amazing service! We happened to catch the 3rd set of an amazing band. It was a special night! Thank you

Classy, cool. and where you want to go for a date night! Vaughn (unsure of the spelling), does a great job bartending and singing. She had a great voice and should sing lead more! The cocktails are solid and prices are what you would expect at a nice bar $10 - $14. Love this spot!

Great new addition to Main Street lounges! 5 stars for the music (and I got to go on a Tuesday jam open mic which was amazing!), but 4 stars for the drinks--still a little pricey and they were a bit sweet for me and my friends' likings. Glad to see they're here, but hoping those drink options are upgraded for the next time I visit! Definitely don't miss out on the tunes, and if you want to have somewhere to sing or play, check out their Tuesday jams!

We literally stumbled across this place!! Was only int town 1 night for a quick getaway and was just looking for a place to have a night cap and boy were we pleasantly surprised !! Surprised to walk into beautiful music playing by a live band and a live singer !! I was like "Oh! I picked a great place " Service was prompt as soon as we sat down at a dimly lit table setting the mood perfectly for the night . We had 2 rounds of drinks and the bartender was definitely tending that bar the drinks were great! I enjoyed all the performers and the band was just WOW! I've already recommended this place to friends who plan on visiting KC. The host even came by our table to say hello and to congratulate us on our celebration . Those little touches matter especially for people like us who were vsisiting from out of town!

Would say that this place is almost as cool as the KC staple Green Lady Lounge. Uptown is a little more laidback, the kind of place you can hang out any night of the week while Green Lady feels a little more night-on-the-town. I tried the Milly's Mule and the Freshness, both of which are light and citrusy in flavor and well-carbonated thanks to the ginger beer. I loved how well the notes of watermelon and cucumber in the Milly's Mule came through. If you're a fun of live music and signature cocktails that are focused on the flavors and not just the quality of the booze, you've gotta check out Uptown Lounge. The waitstaff are really nice and great at giving recommendations on drinks. I'd recommend going on Thursday and Friday nights since Vonn is working. She's one of the barstaff and has a phenomenal voice. It's part of the experience to hear her casually belt while mixing drinks and taking orders.

Are you looking for a night out during the week to relax? This would be a perfect fit! This lounge is perfect for date nights, girl's nights, or any day after work that you want to be transformed away from your daily routine. The cocktails were fantastic, our group of 4 ended up with several different types of drinks, and all were perfect for our specific tastes. The sound equipment is fantastic! We never felt like we were yelling to each other, but could hear each instrument perfectly. The entire atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I'm excited to see how this business will grow and can't wait to be part of supporting them and the future musicians. Also, there is a parking lot in the back, which is always a blessing to not have to search for street parking in kc.

This place is fabulous, all shiny and new but the old bones shine through. Different for sure from the divey Daveys it use to be. Solid night out with classics and tasty spins on drinks. GM Rick whipped up a new one to me...Stoned Banana. I'll drink that aaaaalll night. Music scene is on point, In a short amount of time I heard 3 different musicians up at the "Mercedes" of pianos. While the knowledge is new to me the appreciation and skill was not. One being the owner, Alan. Warm and personable, shared a little of his story, his passion now a reality that is Uptown Lounge. Kansas City's rich history of music now also apart of its present day. So if your visiting, live music for sure most nights at 9pm but if your lucky, local favorites might be crooning too. I hear nibbles are coming soon, otherwise we could have stayed all night. 12 weeks in, I'm excited to see how they evolve, big hearts and even bigger dreams for the place. All motivated to provide the best for their guests. Thank you Alan and Rick, we loved our night with Uptown Lounge and will be back! Should be mentioned that they do have a parking lot in the back, for a Main Street location this is appreciated.

This is really a unique bar. I haven't been anywhere else like it in KC and I keep going back. I've been a few times now, twice on weeknights and twice on weekends. The vibe has been great each time. I like that there's great live music with an excellent sound system and it isn't so loud that I can't hear myself think. The cocktails are really good and bartenders are friendly. When Vonne breaks out in song, you know you're in a special place! The owner, Alan, is such a nice guy and he plays and sings, too. It's a fantastic spot for a post dinner nightcap. Sophisticated and elegant, but not at all pretentious.

Great atmosphere with talented musicians. Cocktails top tier. Bartenders are friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a regular on your first visit.

A fun and new music/jazz bar located near westport! They have live music every night and with a great variety. It's always fun supporting local businesses, especially when the owner and bar tenders go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of. They served charcuterie and olives as well. Great drinks, strong but not overbearing or hard to drink, exactly what you want in a cocktail. My friend and I stayed here for a couple hours just catching up, really great atmosphere.

The Uptown Lounge is a cool place to meet friends and hang out while listening to live music. The bartender is amazing. He's very nice and a good mixologist. The owner was on site and very pleasant, as well as his lovely wife.

I came here on an early Friday night. It was empty except for one other patron. The show didn't start until 7pm so I was quite early. When you enter, the classy little lounge makes you forget you're even in this part of town. I can only imagine how it would feel with music playing. It's definitely a very intimate place and perfect for a date night or a small group of friends. I'm glad I got the opportunity to speak to the bartender, owner and the manager. It seems like they have a lot of knowledge on beer, wine and spirits. Every drink we had I enjoyed. And if you don't like your drinks you can always ask for them to craft you something else. They do offer a seasonal menu so I'm looking forward to new and interesting cocktails. Overall, service was great. I will be back with friends.

What a perfect new spot. We headed in to get bevs for my birthday and were greeted with friendly service, awesome cocktails, and a beautiful atmosphere. This place is hardly recognizable if you ever ventured out to it's predecessor. I can't wait to see what this place has in store! The music is chill, the vibe is upscale but warm, and overall I would highly recommend!

Came for an after dinner drink and to experience a true piano bar that is kind of rare these days. The entertainment, ambiance and the drinks were all first rate! We will be coming back, for sure. Michael was fabulous and Vonne is incredible!!

Went on a Friday evening around 7pm and thoroughly enjoyed the music. The cocktails were delicious, especially the champagne and gin combination. Lovely decor and very friendly people.

Have been here three times, and the music has always been nice; at times it has been outstanding. I appreciate the ability to hear good music AND simultaneously hold a conversation with people at my table without having to yell. A classy place where you can dress up and let yourself imagine classic days gone by or, if you're not spiffed up, you're still welcome to come in and enjoy the evening. The owners are very nice and very interested in making the venue comfortable and entertaining for everyone. The cocktail menu is great, and even though I don't normally like spicy things, the "Freshness" cocktail with ancho chili liquer is among my favorites, along with the "Stoned Banana." Cool, casual, comfortable.

The Uptown is a great KC venue, great cocktails, wine and (I assume beer). But come for the live music. Pianos, drums, vocals (Tuesday nights a bit of everything). And don't miss the bartender who will be working hard serving up drinks and then suddenly join in with a great voice singing as she mixes up another great drink. Absolutely a great spot.

For a real treat, head to the Uptown Lounge, 3400 Main. Lovely space, great staff, and friendly vibe. A piano bar with live music, fancy cocktails along with a regular bar offering and NA options. A good price point too. One note-eat before you go-no food at all. If you know that in advance, it's not an issue. Parking is good behind the building. We'll definitely be going again.

A great place to kick back and relax with great music. The service is second to none. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic new lounge style piano bar in uptown KCMO. Great vibe and ambiance to relax and hangout with either a craft cocktail or fine selection of whiskey and scotch. Great interior design and decor. Friendly attentive and knowledgeable service. Highly recommend visiting and having a relaxing drink.

This is a great place! You can easily start or end your evening here. They have high quality cocktails and a fun vibe. The live music is great, but unobtrusive.
