Uptown Pup

Our 7-year-old German Shepherd has been attending Uptown Pup since she was 4 months old. We took her to several of Uptown’s training sessions when she was younger, and she stays there for boarding when we go out of town, in addition to consistent weekly day care. She has regular bath/grooming sessions there as well. As such, we have had the opportunity to get to know most of the Uptown Team throughout the years, from the day care staff to management to trainers, and they have been nothing but caring, supportive, knowledgable and accommodating. She is always clearly happy and excited to see them, no matter which staff member it is, when we drop her off. When our dog was younger we tried out a few other day care businesses to see what was out there, and Uptown Pup was the only place where we felt our dog was cared for and received an individual focus; each Uptown staffer truly cares about the dogs’ well-being and wants each one to flourish. Our dog has anxiety issues, particularly with loud noises such as thunderstorms and fireworks, and Uptown has consistently gone above and beyond to help her with this, including taking her aside from her group to relax and hang out during day care. During her boarding stays the staff has also paid extra attention to make sure she was comfortable. She also has a food allergy and a sensitive stomach, and the staff always remains cognizant of this and makes sure she avoids certain types of treats/foods when she’s there. These are just a few examples of the care that Uptown takes for clients. For anyone deciding whether to entrust Uptown Pup with their day care, boarding, training or grooming needs, this probably sums it up best: we wouldn’t just recommend Uptown Pup - we wouldn’t take our dog anywhere else BUT Uptown Pup.

We love Uptown Pup and so do our dogs! We use them for doggy day care, boarding, and grooming. The staff truly love our girls, communicate thoroughly, and even post some great pictures. When we show up for day care the dogs push each other out of the way to be the first out of the car. Highly recommend.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Uptown Pup! We’ve been bringing our dog, Kevin, here since he was just a puppy, and it has been the best decision. The staff is caring, professional, and truly loves every dog like their own. Daycare has helped our pup build confidence and social skills, and he looks forward to going every single week. It’s been over four years now, and he still gets excited the moment we pull into the parking lot.

My 1 year old corgi did a few one-on-one sessions with Jimmy to help with her aggression towards other dogs and it's made a world of a difference! I developed a better understanding of my dog's cues and actions which helped her trust me more. My dog used to bark and pull towards dogs she saw several blocks away, but is now able to go on long walks on the monon trail without pulling, even if there is a dog approaching her. Some days are better than others, but it's all about how much you practice and train with the tools and education Jimmy provides. I would highly recommend working with him if you need to correct or modify your dog's behavior!

Our dog attends daycare once a week, and it has been a fantastic experience from day one. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and consistently keeps us informed, ensuring that our pup is happy, healthy, and thriving while in their care. She absolutely loves going—so much so that she runs (literally!) into the building with excitement every time we arrive. It’s clear the team genuinely cares about each dog’s individual needs and works hard to make sure every dog enjoys their day to the fullest.

Our doggo loves going to Uptown Pup! He loves the daycare and getting groomed by Alyssa. She does an amazing job every time! Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

We love Uptown pup! We feel safe letting our dog play for daycare or even having sleepovers in the kennel! We know the staff loves our pup as much as we do and never fret leaving him in their care. He always comes home tired and happy!

Our dog Luna has attended several training classes at Uptown Pup with Jimmy, most recently the advanced class! We have learned so much throughout our time in classes. Jimmy's style of teaching is fun, practical and puts us as dog owners at ease. Every class, we come away with additional tips and tricks that help us to understand Luna's behavior and bond with her! There was a point in time where every walk with Luna was so stressful, and now we have so much fun being out with her :) It's been such a joy watching Luna transform and learn new things. I highly recommend Uptown Pup and working with Jimmy!
