This is my second time eating here and we are going to make it a regular spot. Service was incredible- the manager even brought us samples of the chicken so we could choose our heat level. We tried 4 of the flavors and they were all delicious. My husband got the hottest one “fire in the hole” and he said it didn’t disappoint! He loves spicy things and rarely finds a spicy chicken hot enough for him. The food came out fast and it was excellent! If you like chicken, try this place!

Google
We just dined here, and their service is exceptional. No line, fast service, didn't take a while for our food to arrive, and the crew were polite. The foods are great. The chicken was cooked perfectly, tender, and juicy, and the flavor is on point. We also ordered their custard ice cream, and it's really good. It's not too sweet, and it's creamy. I'd highly recommend this if you're in the area.

Google
Best halal fried chicken tenders. Fast service. Great menu. Can't wait for the Killeen branch to open up. Have to drive all the way to Round Rock from Killeen just to try their chicken. Will love to go there again and again. Kids love their menu items as well.

Google
Ordered the elote fries, buffalo Mac fries, and the Nashville hot sandwich. Elote fries were absolutely the star of the show and I’ll go back just for them. The chicken was unfortunately not my favorite, but I’m hoping that trying some of the other seasoning levels will make the flavor better. The Nashville hot level was unfortunately pretty bland and dry. Buffalo Mac fries were pretty good, no complaints really just not quite at the level of elote fries.

I recently visited Urban Bird Hot Chicken and had an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was bright and cheery, instantly lifting my mood as soon as I walked in. The food was simply fabulous—each bite was bursting with flavor and made me eager for the next. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding; the staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great visit. This place definitely deserves a 5-star rating, and I can’t wait to come back for more delicious meals and smiles!

Google
Got the Thai Fighter fries and a strip basket with Nashville hot sauce. All super good! Will was at the register and he was super nice and helpful. He showed us different options on the menu and was patient while we decided which fries to order. We will definitely be back.

Google
The tenders were juicy and well seasoned. My wife and I preferred the country tenders over the Nashville tenders, because of the spice level. There is a heavy dose of cayenne on those Nashville tenders. We got the Tijuana platter, which also featured the street corn fries. The corn was canned, and not fire roasted, so it definitely was missing the smokey flavor, crunchy texture, and there was no mayo. The crinkle fries were delicious, as well as the various lemonade flavors. Counter service was welcoming and the young man assisted us with our order, well as gave free drinks for 1st timers It seems like a no brainer country gravy would be an option, but they have a Thai style sauce instead. To each their own I suppose Props for serving halal chicken, that is what brought us in, and we would eat the food again.

Google
This place is amazing! I came for the first time with my brother and sis and law and they loved it too! The food was fresh. The cashier (Juliet) was super sweet and helped me order. The food came out in less than 5 minutes! I’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
Came during the "winter storm" for a friends birthday (very casual). Menus are located at the front when you walk in, decided to get the Buffalo Mac based on my friends recommendation. I enjoyed it and had enjoy to take with me Togo. I will likely reheat in my air fryer because the sauce will definitely make the fries soggy, however felt there was a good portion of fries, Mac, chicken and sauce present. Food came out in about 5 minutes and I enjoyed it. I saw the videos for the milk shake and I was tempted however I don't need 20 oz worth of milkshake so in that, I wish they offered a smaller size.

Yelp
I really don't like to leave one star reviews, even if I do have genuinely bad experiences. However, every single thing about this place wasn't great from the start. Now I like to try to go to places and try new things unbiased despite the hype or despite the bad reviews; I understand that a lot of restaurants have good and bad days. So let me start by saying that this place was overpriced, and I was fully expecting that as a Nashville hot chicken place. I definitely think that tasty food is worth a dollar amount. And honestly after eating here I can confidently say that KFC has a better Nashville hot chicken. Not only did the delivery driver forget my large drink that was $3.99, but the sides are extremely small, the chicken tenders are two for $9, and not to mention the most important part of Nashville hot chicken; the chicken was incredibly small when they boast their size, but they are also dry! Their mac & cheese is made in a flavorless white sauce that is too saucy for southern mac & cheese if you ask me. Literally just taste like salty noodles. And they throw a side of crunched up hot Cheetos? The fries were only partially seasoned and were incredibly soggy and blonde. If you are experienced in Nashvillehot chicken, do not even bother, wasting your time here.

Yelp
Great fried chicken! The fries were nice and crispy, the toast was buttery and soft, and the sauce was also flavorful and slightly sweet. I got the hot cheeto mac n cheese as a side and it was pretty decent! Although i wish i tried the waffles. Maybe next time!

Yelp
Came back for a second visit. This one wasn't that great. Staff seemed a bit 'off'. Facilities were adequate. However, the food was a miss. While the fries were fresh and hot - like I like them to be - the chicken (Nashville Hot) was too much for my tastebuds. If I do return, it won't be for that level of spicy.

Yelp
First, the place is cute, especially with the giant rooster! I made the mistake of getting the Buffalo Mac without realizing how hot it is...to me! If you are a heat champ with food, this should be a breeze for you. If you didn't grow up eating spicy food and you don't prefer heat, this is not for you! I could not finish my meal due to it making me feel uncomfortable and too full! I tried using extra ranch to cool it down, it didn't help. Everything is absolutely DRENCHED in the buffalo sauce. This place is also a bit pricey for fast food. I'd be willing to try it one more time and choose a food that doesn't wreck me.

Yelp
Woooooo! Some hot chicken! Had a wonderful experience. Great food and a great heat! Check this place out! Service was great and a cool simple shop!

Yelp
Attention chili heads and spicy food lovers. We tried urban bird for the first time and we will definitely be back. Husband got chicken and waffles - mild. The tender was very flavorful and he loved the combo. It came with butter, syrup, and special sauce on the side. I thought I was a tough guy and ordered fire in the hole tenders (their spiciest). I'm a huge chili head and always get the highest heat level anywhere (Thai hot, stupid hot at T22, etc.) I was like, "pshh I can handle it.) I got 4 tenders only. They were so spicy, at one point tears were involuntary coming out of my eyes. I couldn't talk but I just wanted to prove I could do it. I couldn't take it anymore so went inside to buy a drink and they saw my face and without me even speaking he handed me a glass and then asked if I wanted milk. He was so kind. I got my Coke Zero and went back outside to try and eat more. Still trying to prove to myself that I could handle it (I'm foolish!). I couldn't make it through tender #3 of 4. I went inside to refill my Coke Zero and this time an other guy asked me if I was ok. I told them jokingly that the fire in the hole tender had defeated me. They insisted to take my remaining tender away and handed me a Nashville hot spice level one to try. So friendly and kind. I am a huge Tumble 22 (stupid hot) fan but dare I say I liked these as much or better. Next time I'll get one heat level below this one (and I'm sure I'll foolishly try the stupid hot ones again one day) If you like a spicy, you will loves these. Their ranch was good. Their other house sauce was like a Big Mac sauce and had sweetness. Kiddo got fries with macaroni and cheese and loved it. Please like my review and photos if they are helpful!

Yelp
Ordered via Favor. Highly recommended on Favor so decided to try. Got the 2 tenders, Tennessee bbq with extra seasoning on fries. Super fresh. Very moist and cooked to perfection. Could not judge on ambiance but the quality of service in regards to the food is awesome.

Yelp
I came in on October 11th of this year with Thing Two to get some food for take-out. What we got: Nashville Mac The fries are tossed in a house seasoning and topped with white cheese and chicken. The amount of cheese and accouterments drowned the crinkle cut fries, which rendered them soggy (insert sad face here). The portions served here are large enough for two adults or, in my case, one 17 year old man-boy, aka Thing One. The white cheese mix atop these fries seemed to be the type that comes out of the can, which I am not a fan of. Buffalo Mac This is essentially the same dish as the Nashville Mac (subsitie the Buffalo Sauce on this for Comeback Sauce on the Nashville Mac, and it's the same entree). The soggy fries beneath the chicken on this entree are attributed to the heavy cheese and sauce piled on high. The 'buffalo' on this entree provides a tangy, vinegary aspect that some may find pleasing. The amount of food offered on the french fry entries are hefty. However, the wait time on these entrees was greater than 30 minutes, which is hard to fathom as there were only three other guests in the establishment at the time of our visit who already had their food. Additionally, there were several employees here who seemed to be conversing around the cooking area as opposed to cooking it while I waited for my food. I guess these employees were following the 'time is relative' principle.

Yelp
I think I've gone here like 10 times and have enjoyed every one. When they first opened, the service was slow but the food was fresh. Now the service is fast but the chicken is usually already fried when you get there. It's still good though. I've tried a couple of the dry rubs and they were all good. My favorite meal is the chicken and waffles. They have the best waffles. I would stay away from the mac and cheese if you're looking for good seasoning. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. You may have to share a table though as some tables are really big.

Yelp
Great food, easy to wait while they cook thanks to the pager. Fully recommend if you like some spice, probably if you don't too, I just keep ordering the TJ fries cuz they are so good.

Yelp
Great food and improving service! Food: HUGE tenders with great flavors!!! Reasonable price for its portion size. They have different spice levels to choose from and they are dry rub. I consider myself to hand spice well, but I feel Nashville Hot is good enough for me. I accidentally ordered the "Burn You Twice" once, and yes, indeed it did burn me twice. Ears were muffled for a little while eating lol so be careful! They also season their fries but I feel like it can be a little too salty. Love the potato buns and slaws. Their mango lemonade is da bomb! They are a new restaurant, so when they first opened, the service was quite messy and long wait time...BUTTT I have returned a couple of times a definitely a lot of improvement. The food comes out a little faster and correct. I just don't quite understand how they have such a system that looks very efficient from the outside but can take so long to deliver food when staff are just standing there. Sometimes, the cashier person just needs to add a little smile :) Overall, low key vibe, make sure you're not in a rush going somewhere after

AJ J.

Yelp
We heard nothing but amazing things about this place. But Emerson the cashier was very rude and not helpful. When I asked for forks, he told me "Next time ask for them before." I found that very rude and should have never been told that at all. An establishment should be helpful and not be rude at all. But this person Emerson was very rude and even rude when asking about the menu as well. Wouldn't recommend coming to this establishment until the service is taught how to use manners and how to talk to customers.

Sg M.

Yelp
I would say the menu is confusing, at a minimum. This place sells itself as an "Asian Smokehouse and Bar", but literally serves "salsa verde", "Texas Sweet Corn", and BBQ chicken with cilantro. Identity crisis? Chicken was actually not bad, but came with no sides (side of corn for one person $6.50!). Sixteen taps, but after sours and ciders only 12, with 6 of those being lagers...zero amber/reds, nor pilsner. No Shiner or ambers of any brand? In Texas? I was alone so sat at the bar. Service was slow and hectic...borderline rude. Ordered a beer and food, server asked for my CC to "start a tab"....explained I was eating and he said "yup, just need a CC to start your tab". Huh? Skip the frustration by skipping this place!

Yelp
Very solid chicken sandwhich spot! This is my second time here (first time was at a Yelp elite event in houston), so I knew what to expect. The sandwiches were super hot and delicious. It was really tough to eat this time for some reason, seemed liked the burger was covered in sauce, so it kept getting over my hands/messy. Beautiful burn flavor had a nice kick to it. The lemonades were tasty as well. It's a little bit pricey for the cost of a chicken sandwhich, but it is very tasty so that could be why.

Yelp
Food. The best and most incredible fried chicken of all time. No comparison to any fast food chicken tenders. I am a mild heat kinda girl but my husband tried to put on his big boy pants for the SUPER hot and could only eat one tender. Haha. It's not for the faint of heart. The best dish I go back for over and over is the Chicken & Waffles. Full stop. You need to try it to believe it. Don't forget to pet the chicken while you are there, and the staff is the best in the business. I highly recommend ordering ahead the line can get crazy long but it is soooo worth it! The cool vibe rolls out to the patio too. This is a hidden gem that has never disappoints.
google avatar

Jono B.

Yelp
I thought it was good! My chicken sandwich and chicken fries were everything I personally love in those dishes. The chicken sandwich wasn't the best I've ever had (and I wish they'd use one chicken patty instead of two tenders) but it was still very delicious to me. Their bird sauce is good as well. All of their lemonade offerings were great too and the staff was on their A game when I went on a Saturday evening.

Yelp
First, I would like to say that the name does match the food. Yes, there is hot sauce, but no hot chicken. Service: The cashier was really pleasant and willing to assist all customers who came in. The register is positioned in the wrong place. A line is built around customers trying to eat and confusion to where the line ends or starts. In addition, the door to the kitchen sits right next to the register, which creates another confusion. The menu board was out of order on visit, so you don't know what they serve unless you have one of the stacked menus sitting next to the register. Also, the online pick-up menu is different from the PDF menu that is available. Food: Not cooked to order. I am very disappointed to it being my first time. Items on the menu sound good. However, it did not come out to my expectations of me and several other customers. Ambiance: Again, the setup in this restaurant is all wrong and makes it confusing to what is going on. Overall: It is hard to recommend to place with so many unsuccessful business requirements that should be made. Staff is very dysfunctional and seems to not know how to handle big crowds. Staff doesn't seem to know how to work together and stay disciplined. Unfortunately, I will not be back until improvements are made.

Yelp
We walked in and saw the giant cock on the table, SURPRISE!! It's in the same location where vertskebab used to be. There's seating for small crowds and they offer delivery via Uber/door dash. I ordered the tender basket with Xtra hot & sweet potato fries. The portion is a little small for the price. The sweet potato fries are nice and crispy with just enough salt. The tenders are "jumbo" on the menu but are the size of premade tenders you'd buy at the store. It comes with bird sauce which is their version of thousand island. I'm not really a fan and didn't know I could get a different sauce. Nashville hot = mild jalapeno Xtra hot = serano or habanero Overall not bad but could be better flavor in the seasoning. It's mostly heat, would like to have some savory flavor added. Honestly think tumble 22 has a leg up on portion, flavor and price compared to these guys.
google avatar

James W.

Yelp
Great place to eat. My son had the Urban Fries which is huge !!! He should've got a 1/2 order !!! My Nashville Hot tenders were delicious as were the krinkle fries. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Lots of menu choices !!! So it's Urban Bird and Chronic Fries all in one !!!
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Really good food. Nashville hot is the way to go. Sometimes it's a little bit too spicy, but it had a good kick to it! The mac n cheese is good and so are all the fries. Quick service and good food!
google avatar

Jon R.

Yelp
This is one of my regular spots as the chicken is always delicious. Everything here is great except for the cheese, in my opinion.
google avatar

Thu T.

Yelp
Food is delicious and chicken tenders are big, so I love that it's a big portion. There are several spice level to choose from. I can eat spicy food and find that the mild level is pretty spicy. If you really want a great kick, go for Nashville hot. Fries are okay, a bit heavy with the seasoning so some pieces are super salty. Customer service is great. I would recommend them having one or two more cashiers to speed up the process. Only one. They're new so be patient with them as they're working through some kinks.
google avatar

Kay P.

Yelp
This might just be my favorite fast food chicken spot, and possibly my favorite fast food place overall. The flavors are absolutely amazing! I love the Hella Hot, and the street corn basket is a must-try. The fries are cooked to perfection--they stay crispy and don't get soggy, even when reheated in the microwave the food is still delicious. The wait can be a bit longer than I'd prefer, but the food is always fresh and perfectly hot--both in temperature and spice!
google avatar

Victor O.

Yelp
The chicken is really delicious and so are the fries. I'll be back once it settles down. I would rate the sides and shake as better than Tumble 22. Chicken sando might be better too, but it's close. Be warned: the restaurant is new and staff is still learning. Wait times are exceedingly long. 50 minutes for a sandwich, fries and shake. Be patient and be gracious.
google avatar

Benton S.

Yelp
Good food not the best the chicken was too dry but that's just me I like my chicken really juicy service was not the best but the work on the presentation was great just not for my liking
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
Love this chicken!!!!! the environment and the energy is amazing- The food looked great The workers there are so polite and their energy is very friendly, the area is very clean, And as much as the environment and employees are amazing the food is even better, every bite explodes in flavor and different spice levels are perfect for if you do or don't like spice or just enough spice.

Ashia J.

Yelp
Amazing food, the staff has always been sweet every time I've been. & the restaurant is super cute. Love love love this place.
google avatar

Blaine B.

Yelp
Maybe we caught them at a bad time. Restaurant was a little busy, which I am thinking contributed to being a little dirty. Tables were messy and sticky. Overall food was decent. Chicken was fine; spice level was good but meat critically underseaoned. Did not seem like there was salt on the chicken or in the coating. Waffles were awesome and fries really good as well. I would go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
google avatar

Lucero M.

Yelp
I love this place! Chronic fries shows on the map as a separate place but it's actually here! So happy I found this spot as I usually get sick eating fried chicken, but this is the only place i do not, WIN! Love the menu, and quality of food.
google avatar

Stacey D.

Yelp
Excellent food. Service was a little slow Will be back food out weighed slow service
google avatar

Phillip G.

Yelp
Tumble 22 for the win. Or kfc for some of you. Sides are decent, chicken and pricing need serious work
google avatar

Bret B.

Yelp
I was hesitant to head over to this new place with my wife and toddler because most of the reveiws I have read so far said that it took wayyyy too long to get food on the table and eating with a 2-year old isnt fun even when its fast, but we had heard the food was good so we took the dive. Ill say that this experience went very well. The food was out quick, service was good, everything tasted great and frankly the servings were almost too big but Im not complaining. I have no operational concerns whatsoever and Ill be back. One odd thing to note: The layout of this restaurant isn't planned well. You walk all the way into the place, and end up placing your order right next to the two-way door to the kitchen so there's a chance you get wacked when someone comes in or out. Im no planner but I would have put the register closer to the door, no biggy, but keep an eye out for little ones getting hit by that door when you're placing your order. Overall very happy with the new place.
google avatar

Jackal N.

Yelp
Definitely lives up to its name, this is some city folk chicken. Soggy, soggy, and soggy. The chicken, the fries, the toast. All right out of the fryer and somehow sopping wet. The "jumbo" tenders are also not much larger than a typical fast food tender, nothing close to the size you get at other hot chicken joints for the same price. I give 2 stars for being halal and at least being moist on the inside, but I would not come here again.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Very tasty! Some of the best chicken I've had around here! Very clean restaurant with great service and good vibes.
google avatar

Tony P.

Yelp
Chicken is very juicy, large portions, very tasty, mild to very spicy selection. Service was self order, but quick delivery. Eat inside or out, take out is also available. Average price for two about $25 to $35 depending on sides.. recommend

Aaron S.

Yelp
The food was good. The service was a bit slow but that was because the food was fresh. The location was clean. We would eat there again for sure.
google avatar

Lakisha D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this establishment. The food was hot, fresh and the service was fast. I had the chicken and waffles and it was outstanding! They really know what they're doing here. The atmosphere is very laid back. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Charee G.

Yelp
I had the sando combo meal- chicken sandwich, fries and a lemonade (blueberry). Sooo good. The food is very well seasoned especially the fries! I will be back.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
This place is a mess the food was decent but my god the staff at this place is clueless and helpless. We had to go order still waited in line almost 20min then watched food after food come back for wrong order or cold.. I then waited another 20 minutes for my lemonade to go. They however did commit a cardinal restaurant sin here a man brought back an order that was wrong it had already been set down and at a table and touched by a customer they took to order back and then handed it to the right customer who luckily didn't touch it cause it was cold but I warned them that food needed to be remade.
google avatar

Kacey C.

Yelp
First time at Urban Bird and I definitely loved the chicken. The Nashville hot isn't all that hot in my opinion but still delicious! I also tried the Buffalo Mac bowl and it just lacked heat. The Mac wasn't really my favorite, could use some more flavor and a better texture. It was just a bit runny for my liking. I would definitely eat here again and try more on the menu. We hit it at a busy time on a Friday night and our food still came out quickly. The staff weren't super friendly or welcoming but the interactions with them are minimal. You order at the counter and they bring your food out but you're responsible for your own drink refills and cleaning up. Self-cleaning restaurants tend to be kind of dirty when finding a place to sit and this was no different. I did enjoy this experience and want to come back and try more. Maybe we just caught them at a busy time and didn't get a warm welcome.
google avatar

Shantavia B.

Yelp
The food was good but unfortunately I have to rate this business with 2 stars because of how slow it is, especially on the weekends. I waited 30+ minutes for a $8 meal. The ice machine barely had ice, there are no lids for the cups, there is food all over the floors, and the front counter workers behave as if they aren't sure how to use the system. Upon entering the line a man ahead of me appeared to be asking for a refund but the front counter guy didn't know how to do it, which caused him to be super frustrated when come time to take my order. I understand that the weekends are hectic, but if everyone has a specific role then there shouldn't be any issues. I hope to see this place get it together because the food is exceptional and has a lot of potential.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
They just opened and got really busy. Some flaws are the possible wait time there is only 1 register. When your food is done your pager goes off but when it's crowded the person dropping off the food has no clue who to provide it to. The entrance/exit to the kitchen is right next to the register which is slightly awkward. The food was really good. I ordered the Tijuana street fries they were amazing! We also order a normal tender meal with sweet potato fries and a kids tender meal. There is an option for a custard but didn't really want to wait in line to try and get it. They had 3 different lemonades, strawberry, mango, and blueberry. the last thing we did order was the s'mores fries. The could've been MUCH better if there wasn't so much salt on them. I found some that weren't salty and it was amazing but I had that was so salty I had to drink have my drink to even get the salt taste out of my mouth. I think if they were to do the smore maybe less salt or no salt at all? But overall I'll be back again.

Yelp
HORRIBLE SERVICE - took a whole hour to receive my food, didn't even get an apology or a refund! very unorganized! Will never come back here to eat again.

Yelp
Pretty good kinda like a paste type of rub. The cashier supper nice omg we love bilingual people! Lemonade mango and strawberry! My favorite ! Chicken not dry supper juice and keeping it spicy Now the fries, you like it sweet and a lil kick at the end that's it that's the seasoning not a fan but for sure next time no seasoning on my fries for the price you pay y'all should serve a little more fries just saying thank you !

Pixies and Pineapples D.

Yelp
Awesome chicken strips! I really enjoyed the Memphis Mac n Cheese and my family loved the chicken and waffles! I definitely will be going back to try more of the meals...I am positive that they will taste just as delicious!

Melisa M.

Yelp
So incredibly yummy!!!! One of my favorites...... I often crave it. The slaw is excellent on the sandwich, and Mac n cheese so creamy.

Yelp
WE recently tried Urban Bird Hot Chicken, a new Nashville hot chicken restaurant in Round Rock. I was a little hesitant at first, as I'm a big fan of Raising Canes and T22, but I was pleasantly surprised. The tenders were cooked perfectly and were very juicy. The breading was crispy and flavorful, and the heat level was just right. I ordered the mild tenders, and they were still pretty spicy. I can't imagine how hot the Nashville hot tenders would be! The waffles were also delicious. They were light and fluffy, and they went perfectly with the hot chicken. I tried the strawberry lemonade, and it was also very good. The lemonade was tart and refreshing, and it helped to cool down the heat from the chicken. Overall, I had a great experience at Urban Bird Hot Chicken. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was fun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves hot chicken.

Yelp
Great first impression.. half the order was missing and what we did get was mediocre. Too many options around here for that nonsense.
