Urban Bubble

Ordered online for pickup and our big order was ready when we arrived. They didn't give us any utensils for the food. The chocolate bubble and the Mango sago drinks were good (50% sweet). The chicken sandwich was too spicy; it came with regular fries (can switch to waffle fries for $1 more). The rice combo and popcorn chicken were good compared to some other places. Parking is limited.

I ordered the crème brûlée brown sugar boba on DoorDash for pickup. When I arrived after the estimated pick up time, it was still not ready. I waited about 5-10 minutes until it was since the shop looked busy. The parking lot is really small and tight. I was surprised to see how many people were hanging out in the shop but they do have many tables, nooks, seating with WiFi. The workers were friendly and apologized for the wait. I was late for an appointment so had to take the drink to go. Crème brûlée brown sugar boba - delicious flavor and the *cooked* bobas were good, but sadly about 1/4 of the boba were crunchy then I realized they were raw! This is the first time I have ever been served raw boba. :( I’m sure they would’ve fixed the boba if I was still in shop but I didn’t have time to go back. My husband’s drink had raw boba too.

Ordered a matcha latte and got a clumpy, bitter mess instead. It was undrinkable—even an electric frother couldn’t save it. Tasted like dirt and disappointment. Honestly, I’ve had better luck mixing matcha at home with a spoon. Total waste of money. Never again.

Very nice and delicious boba! I had a signature urban milk tea, with 0 sugar and 0 ice, it is awesome!! It’s still slightly sweet and with the yummy milky cheese foam on the top, it’s nice balanced. I love it. The young man cashier is very patient and welcoming. I think he’s really professional and helpful.

I've ordered from here so many times and have not been disappointed. I usually get the taro or mango sago. Never tried any of their food though. Anyway, highly recommend Urban Bubble for a Bubble tea fix.

We ordered 12 bobas (3 flavors, 4 cups per each flavor) through a delivery app. We found some tens of plastic pieces from two of Taro-flavor ones, so we had to throw the remaining two away. It was a terrible experience. Very small pieces of them could have been eaten without my realizing it. If those foreign objects had been broken glass instead of plastic, I could have been seriously injured.

Overall the teas and drinks was about average, I had gotten taro with sago and my mom had gotten a milk tea with cheese foam, she said she wouldve rather gotten something else as her topping wasent flavorful. The environment is fun, music is engaging, lots of seating, good for a quick study session, however the place feels poorly ran, dirty windows, dirty tables, all the plants were wilted and dying, bathroom was messy and dirty. I would come back again and try a different drink, but hopefully it looks well put together next time.

Got a chance to finish our night cap at Urban Bubble! The kiosk ordering seems to be the point of choice for the service staff. Coming on a Saturday evening, around 8pm. Staff seemed overwhelmed and flustered. Once putting in our order, it was about a 25-minute wait. Got a chance to try Taro Bubble with Lychee Jelly and one with Sago. For $6 base drink, this was an overall well-rounded find! The taro was not artificial, and the sago was the perfect texture! Overall, would revisit again!

The service was very quick! We got Sunset Blvd and Aloha mango, which were pretty good. However, the boba pearls were too soggy and unpleasant to have.

I just want to shoutout the service. Great people, especially one worker named Gabe. Someone received their order wrong and he handled it very kindly even during rush hour.

Urban Bubble is located in a random plaza that is a little sketchy on the outside. There's limited parking in the parking lot. On the inside, there's a handful of booths and tables where a lot of college students/high school students are studying/doing work. They play a lot of 2000s and 2010s music. There's automated kiosks to take your order. We got the: - Taro brown sugar boba: didn't really taste the taro part. The boba was very fresh and chewy which was nice. I ordered 50% sweet, but even that it's pretty sweet. - Passionate mango slush: it's pretty thick and icy (granted a slush) but it tastes really refreshing! A naturally sweet drink.

Good creme Brule milk tea. I like their cups. Nice place to sit and relax and the music is not too loud like other places. More parking in the back. Will come back again

WHY WE WENT HERE: - cousin boba night; had something for everyone at this place THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in a small plaza off Clairemont Mesa Blvd in between Convoy St and Mercury St - it was during one of the stormy days so it was pouring; the tile outside of the businesses in this plaza seemed more like indoor tile and a slip/trip/fall hazard in the inclement weather THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - love the decor but the cleanliness needs more work - at the day and time we were here there were a lot of younger people (presumed teens and 20 something year olds) and it was pretty crowded; not enough seating or even standing room for everyone THE MENU: - blended series - specialteas - fruit teas - milk teas - lattes - fresh teas - sparkling - yakult - toppings THE TASTE: - everyone was satisfied with their respective drink or food order - the SD local cousins said they'd come here again CUSTOMER SERVICE: - 2 ordering kiosks - only dealt with the workers once the order was ready for pickup at the counter

Still our favorite boba place in this area! Their boba is semi sweet with a perfect chewing texture. Crème brûlée brown sugar and taro bubble are our favorites! Great service with friendly staffs. Can't wait to be back!

I'm glad I tried this spot and found their variety of drinks. I will say one star was lost because my Thai tea had the tea leaves still unstrained but it was pretty sweet at 50% The location is a bit hard to find but once you come in you are welcomed by a large space with ample seating. I will come back to try other drinks. They are doing reviews for $5 gift cards but I will say that this place is a solid 4 star. Mainly the service was quite good, when I brought up the tea leaves they were apologetic and explained to me what was happening. I didn't try their food but it seems like that is a plus. Again, love the space, service, colors and self service kiosk.

Convoy has no shortage of bubble tea spots, but what sets Urban Bubble apart is not only can you get a great milk tea but an amazing Korean corn dog too! Having a spot with GREAT food and drinks is becoming a rarity. This place definitely has both. They have a self serve kiosk where you can order and customize your order to your liking. They have a wide range of drinks from milk teas to refresher fruit teas and non-caffeinated options too. I went with my usual matcha with pudding. The matcha was delicious and high quality! We also added corn dogs into the mix. You can pick your corn dog filling- I got just sausage while my husband got the half and half with cheese. You can choose your topping: sugar, parm or old bay and your dipping sauce as well. They were massive, juicy and sooooo good! They are made fresh so they have that perfect crisp. The space is super cute and perfect for studying or staying a while. They have their WiFi code on the table to make it accessible. New favorite spot unlocked!

I always go here when I'm around the area and want some boba. You can't go wrong with the Honeydew or Taro Boba!

One of the better boba places in SD! They have great flavors and the seating is very nice for students to do work! The music is a little too loud to take meetings in, but otherwise a solid boba shop/ cafe.

This is a great place to study/work! Came around 2pm with hardly anyone in the seating areas. Lychee tea was a little sweeter than expected. I ordered it at 50% knowing the lychee jelly would add sweetness to it, so I'd definitely adjust it to a lower sweetness next time. The potato sausage and mozzarella hotdog was tasty. It was heavy to hold, so you know they definitely filled it with the goods. Sugar on top and spicy mayo on the side was a good move. Staff brought out everything pretty quickly! As I was sitting at the table doing some work, I noticed a lot of to-go orders, so despite no one physically sitting in the store, they were still pretty busy. Overall drinks, food, ambiance, and service is good. Cherry on top for it being open late so definitely a great study place.

I been getting a reminder to try this place so I went tonight to try it and did not get disappointed, the Popcorn chicken was really good that my wife finished it and she hated popcorn chicken before. I also got honeydew bubble and it was good. The Aloha mango is pretty good. The young lady that took my order was really helpful since I hate using kiosk because I like to ask for recommendations on which drink to get. She help me out and even suggested if I need sauce for the chicken and how much ice and sugar to put. Place is quiet and no music is playing which is unusual for a place like this since younger people are working here. I will be back again to try other things.

I've probably been here about 5 times total since they first opened. I actually loved this place the first few times I've tried it. My visit today was disappointing. The quality has changed so much, both me and my boyfriend was dissatisfied with our drinks. From first walking in, the experience was different. I was really looking forward to the Strawberry Love drink, which was my favorite. However I don't believe they have it anymore, at least not today. We usually order at the kiosk. However both kiosks were not connected to the internet so we then ordered at the register. The guy upfront and the girl working were both nice, no complaints there. I did ask for light ice, but when I got my drink, my drink had more ice than my boyfriend's who didn't ask for any ice adjustments. I'm assuming they made a mistake here. It did take some effort to punch my straw through the ice and swirl the straw around. So maybe they put extra ice instead of less ice? My boyfriend's drink was also super disappointing. First off, they barely gave any boba, maybe like 1/2 to 3/4 what they use to give. The boba quality was also not great. Some of the balls were decent but others had no chew texture to it and were just soft. The cups had also changed. I'm usually not too picky about cups and stuff as I know shipments can get backed up and sometimes there are mistakes with ordering inventory. however since the whole experience wasn't great today, the change to cheaper cups further validates my dissatisfied feelings. I probably won't come back.

Good quantity, great quality, great value. I've been to this Urban Bubble location a few times and there are just so many great reasons to keep coming back. The quality and consistency in the quality on top of how late Urban Bubble stays open makes it an easy go-to spot for a late hangout and beverage. Their blended drinks always hit the perfect spot between sweet and tasty. On days where I've had heavier meals, their refreshers are a great option to enjoy a sweet treat without feeling stuffed. My favorite that was recommended to me by one of their servers, Andre, is the Aloha Mango! On multiple occasions, I've been helped by Andre. He has never failed to ask me about my day and always comes up with the perfect recommendations. He is also very quick with the service and I can expect my drink to be made within only minutes of ordering making this Urban Bubble location perfect for a quick grab-and-go on a busy day. Overall Urban Bubble is a great place to go for a refreshing drink after a light meal or a heavy AYCE outing with friends. Their quality is always consistent and dependable.

Got the oolong milk tea 100% sweet. Half the cup was filled half way with ice, and the milk tea itself was bland and tasted diluted The boba was overcooked and mushy As a boba lover, I do not recommend this place. There are many more options in the general vicinity. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars was for the good music and service

Came here with a few friends during Comic Con weekend since she told me it was one of her favorite local boba spots. This location is near all the other Asian food places and parking was relatively easy during the middle of the day. The overall vibe of the shop was relatively quiet with a few people chatting and some working on their laptops, so it felt like a nice place to hang out or study. After reading the menu, I was surprised to see options for a sparkling option, so I decided to try out the sparkling strawberry lychee with boba added. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this drink was. It tasted very similar to a lychee soda mixed in with lychee and boba on the bottom with a very soft texture to chew on. Overall, a great place to visit if you're local to the area and I'll be back again in December to try out either the Lychee Milk Tea or Thai Tea!

Came here for my first time and it was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family. Definitely will come back. Great service!

Food -they have tons of snack options..from the OG popcorn chicken to yummy mozarella hotdogs Service -they have kiosks you use to place your order and pay. Ambiance -it's a cozy, small boba place -music they play is smooth hiphop...makes me feel like I'm in a kendrick lamar MV lol -probably not conducive for last minute cramming for a final but nice for oh you just need to get some work done and dont need to concentrate too much -great place for small group hangouts

urban bubble was awesome! we went here since didnt find anything we liked at da boba! the ended up getting a coconut water matcha! they have self serve kiosks and great places to sit my nephew even pointed us out of the blue! plenty of places to sit but not a lot of parking! the ambiance was a boba hang out spot for youngsters with alot of options to pick from, but they need descriptions of their fruit teas!

Their Taro Bubble drink is probably the best blended drink I've ever had at a boba shop, and their cute cat-themed decor drew me in even more! The Bubble series features an array of different flavors, but they're all blended drinks lined with their signature creamy cheese foam. Cheese foam is my absolute favorite topping at boba shops, and Urban Bubble's version was amazing--I've never had cheese cream complement a drink so well! I'm usually not a fan of blended drinks at boba shops, but I might have to become one after trying it here. My friend got the strawberry bubble flavor, and it tasted just like strawberry cheesecake, which was just as delicious. I got my drink at 50% sweetness, and it was perfect; my friend got hers at regular sweetness, and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet either. Their regular drink size is generous at 24oz, and I only paid about $8.50 after gratuity, which is a great value for the amount of product. Their kiosk has a great UI, so ordering as quick and easy. The staff were all friendly. A huge plus about this place is that the decor is so cute! A small detail, but their cups are high quality and match the shop's aesthetic. The plants, art, music, and overall freshness of the shop (since some boba spots in Convoy can be musty and stingy with AC, lol) were refreshing and offer something new for the area. Also, check in on Yelp for a free topping! This place is easy to miss due to its location, but it's definitely a gem for catching up with friends, studying, or just grabbing a great drink. I'm excited to explore more of their menu! 5/5 - With so much competition in the Convoy area, Urban Bubble definitely stands out as one of the better options out here.

Came here on a Friday night, almost 10pm. It's great that this spot is open late. When we arrived, it was very busy, all the tables occupied and more standing, many waiting for their drinks. Eventually our group was able to snag a spot and the rush died down a bit. Drinks are about $6+ , I tried the chocolate bubble (from their blended collection). Rich, creamy, chocolatey, and cookies & cream.. it was yummy! They also offer a few snacks, unfortunately, we don't try any. A cute boba spot to checkout. Kawaii cats, plants, and brightly lit. Limited parking in lot and street parking. Comfortable tables to sit at. Relatively clean. You can order at the counter or on one of their two screens, however there was some connection issues that slowed down our ordering process. Otherwise, a solid choice for boba .

Good tasting drinks. Nice ambiance with cute decor. Good place to go to talk, get snacks and get a drink. I got their creme Brule brown sugar regular and it was balanced and slightly toasted on top. Nice touch

Urban Bubble's Honeydew Bubble is hands down my favorite drink of all time. If you're a honeydew fan, this is a must-try. The smoothie is flawlessly blended--smooth, creamy, and packed with the refreshing taste of honeydew that makes each sip irresistible. The atmosphere can get a bit chaotic with tight seating, limited parking, and a constant buzz of noise. Ordering can be done at kiosks or with the cashier, which helps streamline things but doesn't alleviate the crowded feeling. Despite these minor drawbacks, the vibrant purple and cat-themed decor adds a fun, whimsical touch that enhances the experience. The Honeydew Bubble (or honestly any of their smoothies) is worth navigating the hustle and bustle for. If you haven't tried it yet, you're in for a treat!

The inside of this boba shop is actually so cute. It's very clean and many people come here to study. The parking lot sucks. The drinks are very tasty and look very yummy.

First timer! I have to say I was really worried when I stepped foot in front of the store. Glass was dirty as heck, service was meh (I recommend ordering at kiosk instead of with the people) , prep area was dirty too. Seating area was clean at least. However when we got our drinks, they were really good! Very well blended and made. We were all surprised on how good each of our drinks were. Will come back again, but I'll just have wear my sunglasses in to not see some stuff...

I've been craving Taiwanese popcorn chicken A LOT lately. There were of course lots of options in the Convoy district but I hadn't been to this shop before so I wanted to come here instead. The ambiance is fun and bright- they have lots of space and nice loud music. The staff were super upbeat and welcoming, even at 9 pm on a Tuesday. We ordered the basil chicken and an oolong milk tea. The basil chicken is cooked to order and you can choose a spiciness level from 1-10. The size of the dish was big enough to share, and only $8. The chicken was crispy on the outside but not dry at all, and they let me pick a couple dipping sauces to go on the side. While their basil chicken was awesome, I didn't feel the same about my drink- which felt quite watered down compared to the oolong milk teas at other stores in the Convoy district. The boba here also was not too flavorful. However, it was cooked well. Overall, I'd definitely stop by again for the food, but not so much for the drinks.

Five stars for the mango sago drink alone!! It's hard to find (boba) places that serve this so I'm stoked that I found somewhere nearby. - Honeydew bubble was a 5/10 for me (personal preference - not a fan of honeydew flavor but I gave this a try). It tastes just like a Melona bar. - Aloha mango 7/10. Standard fruity tea, it was solid. - Basil popcorn chicken 7/10. Hard to mess it up.

My wife and I always come here! This is by far our favorite Boba place in San Diego. We actually have a tradition where we always come right before the birth of our next child. And so far we've come twice!

Best boba I have ever had. Guys who served boba to me are so nice. Vibe's so modern and fabulous. I have visited here every week this month.

Urban Bubble's milk boba is super creamy, just the right amount of sweet, and really good. The boba pearls are fresh, chewy, and soak up all the flavor. If you love boba (or even if you don't yet. There is Korean hot Cheetos hotdog), this place is a must-try!

Honestly I don't come here that often but this is a STAPLE for my roommates, they love the urban milk tea and oolong. The vibe in here is also nice, there's some seats and there's usually people doing work here, overall definitely recommend!

Easy order at kiosk service ! Quick and efficient. Place was easy to find and the staff was kind. The interior is clean and cute! Perfect place to study or chat with friends and family. The drinks themselves are refreshing and yummyyy ! Definitely worth trying out.

Food is amazing. I love the Basil Popcorn Chicken. It's crunchylicious and crispylicious. It's delish! The Cheddar Sausage Hotdog was crispy and good. The Fries were also amazing. My toddler likes it and she also likes the drinks too. The drinks taste good, Sunset Blvd and Mango Yoghurt. Service is great. And the ambiance is chill. We'll definitely come back. Thank you for the awesome food. This was our first time eating here.

It was my first time here and the cat themed interior and cups were so cute! Spacious, clean and pretty interior. Ordered the Aloha mango with lychee jelly via the kiosk and it was nicely refreshing and perfectly sweet! Would come back to try their other drinks.

I have to say that it was not that easy to find, but not also not hard to find. If you see a taco shop which I forgot the name of... it's in that small area. Parking is very scarce. The employees there are very friendly and look like they like their job. Fun vibe. My daughter loves to get snacks with her boba. And she chose mozzarella/potato stick. I must say the boba drinks there are delicious. I would totally recommend coming here and checking it out.

A computer took my order- it was friendly enough. Ended up here since it's the only late night spot for boba. It's bright, it's loud but at least the music is good. Ordered the Taro blended which was delicious but for the love of boba- PLEASE sweeten the boba topping! There's nothing worse than unsweetened tapioca balls.
