We had plans to visit a few different places, but we decided to stop by Urban Cookies, and I’m so glad we did. The cookies were incredibly delicious—honestly even better than the cupcakes. We tried the milk and dark chocolate cookie, snickerdoodle, and the dark chocolate walnut, and each one was rich, fresh, and perfectly baked. We also picked up several cupcakes, including chocolate, vanilla, the gingerbread latte (a spiced cake with a subtle coffee flavor), strawberry, and a birthday cupcake. Every dessert we tasted was excellent, and we grabbed a few extras to share with friends. So far, everything we’ve tried has been a hit. Urban Cookies is definitely worth the stop for high-quality, flavorful desserts. Worth the price and very friendly staff to add. First time and will go back!

I've been going to Urban Cookies Bakeshop for about 10 years, and it never disappoints. They have the best cupcakes in the Valley; ALWAYS moist, flavorful, and beautifully made. The seasonal flavors are amazing, the gluten-free options are just as delicious, and that frosting? Absolute perfection. Consistently top-notch and totally addictive! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

I love this place! I stopped recently when i was looking for a good hearty homemade-like brownie. Oh my gosh, this place did not disappoint! It's such a cute little shop in downtown Phoenix. They offer gourmet sweets made from scratch and some are vegan. The brownie I purchased was very decadent but did contain eggs. They are also very reasonably priced which is big for me because this delicious place should be affordable for the public. I've only tried a few items and their brownie is always so decadent and airy, not too sweet and very light. 10/10 highly recommend.

Unbelievably good! I have never had a more moist cupcake. The chocolate was decadent but not overly sweet. Silky smooth top with the crunchy bits were a perfect complement to this cupcake. The toasted coconut was so good my friend was dancing as she took her second bite. Friendly service, great recommendation of flavors, and inviting storefront. Sooooo good! Thank you so much!

I found Urban Cookies Bakeshop on Uber Eats while trying to find last-minute cupcakes for a colleague’s birthday during a work conference in Phoenix. Although I can’t speak to the in-store atmosphere, I can say this: the cupcakes were DELICIOUS. Because I have celiac disease, I usually proceed with caution, especially since the bakery clearly notes that it is not certified gluten-free. But when the cupcakes arrived and looked exactly like the photos online, I thought, “Oh well” lol. I opted for the gluten-free strawberry cupcake, and it was fantastic—moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. We ordered a 12-pack assortment including chocolate, vanilla, brown velvet, birthday, marble, lemon, and carrot, and every single colleague who tried one raved about how good they were. The cupcakes disappeared so quickly that I forgot to snap a picture. I experienced some celiac-related symptoms a few days later, though I can’t say for sure whether it was caused by the cupcake or another source of cross-contamination while traveling. That said, the taste and quality were good enough that I will absolutely check this place out again the next time I’m in Phoenix, just with the usual gluten-free caution in mind. If you need a sweet treat that looks as good as it tastes, Urban Cookies Bakeshop is definitely worth considering!

Thank you, Serena & Julia! We hired Urban for our wedding this weekend of around 75 people and were blown away with their work. We got 6 different cupcakes for various dietary needs, such as dairy free and gluten free, as well as 3 different types of cookies for our reception. I’m lucky to have a few left over, because they were popular as can be! It made such a beautiful spread on our dessert table! And when we picked them up they helped us to our car and told us care instructions for keeping them overnight, the staff at the counter were so friendly and helpful in wishing us congrats. Can’t reccomend them enough for a big event!

Urban Cookies in Phoenix has been my go to sweetshop for the past few years! They staff here is always amazing and their baked goods are incredible! I try to pop in once a week to get goodies for my staff, and having several staff members who have food allergies or dietary preferences, Urban Cookies has been able to accommodate all of those! Definitely will be coming back to Urban Cookies!

First time trying this place after living in this area for 2 years. They had so many options it was hard to make a decision without getting everything. I always pass by this place, and was so excited to try it. Heads up parking can be found in the back of the bakery by the taco place next door. I got the prickly pear sugar cookie which was delicious, and nice and soft on the inside. I also treated myself to the strawberry cupcake, carrot cake cupcake, and their seasonal mint one. The mint one, wasn't my favorite, but it was still good. Everything is veryyyy rich here. I loved the sweetness of the strawberry cupcake, it was nice and refreshing. And the carrot cake cupcake was good too, but very nutty. I wish they did samples here so you could try something here before buying, but they do not. The prices were pretty reasonable, about ~4.40 I believe for each cupcake or cookie? The place is cute on the inside, and the staff was friendly with recommendations.

We found this cookie place right after we picked up our car rental. Perfect! We were visiting some friends and decided to pick up some goodies to share with them. As you walked into the entrance, the bakery seemed very new, clean, organized, and modern. The service was very friendly and excited to share what they offered. Lemon Honey Pistachio Shortbread: lemon Shortbread cookie dipped in a local honey glaze and sprinkled with crushed pistachios (4/5). Subtle lemon flavor, nice flakey cookie. Prickly Pear Saguaro Sugar Cookie: Saguaro Sugar Cookie dipped in natural pink icing and sprinkled with clear sanding sugar (4/5). I liked this cookie design and simple flavor. Chocolate Chip Cookie (3/5). Everybody agreed that this was just ok. Cowboy Cookie: a brown sugar cookie filled with dark chocolate chips, Butterscotch chips, pecans, oats, and organic corn chips (3/5). I wanted to try this, and it was good, but I'd try some of their other flavors Peach Berry Shortcake Cupcake: peach corn cake topped with vanilla buttercream, peach berry compote, and a tarragon shortcake (4/5). Blueberry Cupcake: Vanilla cake with blueberries, natural blue cream cheese frosting, blueberry dust (4/5). The cupcake was moist and buttery.

It's one of my favorite bakeries that I drive out of my way to visit. I have a tradition of getting something for my birthday ever years, especially as they accommodate dairy allergies. I've had everything here, from their delicious cookies to cupcakes and birthday / holiday (pumpkin churro) time cakes. I will say their cupcakes are the best items, but perhaps they're the same ingredients but in smaller portions.

The delicious baked goods I picked up from this place were so good! I couldn't believe how moist the margarita cupcake was! I've never had a tequila induced cupcake before today! The location was nice and I loved the decorative sign on the chalkboard. The cactus art on the outside was nice as well. It was national cactus day so I loved how they turned offered the pink prickly pear saguaro sugar cookie for the day!

My cupcake go to...delectable treats and yummy flavors. Not overly sweet and fresh made with real ingredients. The icing to cake ration is perfect for my cupcake sandwich maneuver. The staff are kind, always have their own recommendations and the shop is cute and smells great. Get there early or you might miss out on a popular cupcake. Gluten free options available!

I buy cookies here all the time for clients! Local delicious family owned bake shop doing things right. Fresh baked goods every day, unreal cupcakes, and super good cakes too! Everyone there is friendly, service is speedy as you'd hope, and the shop is always SPOTLESS and well decorated. Repeat customer for life.

Needed a last minute potluck contribution so I swung by for some baked goods. The cashier was really patient with me while I struggled to decide what to order. She was really helpful in answering my questions and providing recommendations. I ended up getting the chocolate chip cookies, the lemon pistachio shortbread, the dark chocolate walnut cookies, some pineapple coconut cookies, and a couple banana coconut cupcakes. I ended up spending a lot more than I anticipated, but it ended up being worth it because everything was SO GOOD! I liked most of the cookies (except maybe the shortbread... it was okay), but the pineapple coconut cookies were the favorites of the night. Those, the chocolate chip, and the chocolate walnut cookies tasted even more amazing air-fried. I really liked that the cookies were slightly crispy on the outside, but soft and chewy in the center. Also, they were not too sweet and you could taste the different ingredients inside instead of just straight sugar. The cupcakes were delectable too. The coconut frosting was richly sweet, which I normally wouldn't like, but the cupcake itself was soft and had some kind of spice in it that really cut through the coconut and balanced it out. Definitely give it a try!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to stop by for some treats to take to my office. I came a little before noon and there was definitely traffic around the shop. Most people were there for cupcakes. I got a dozen. I tried one of their specialties which was the margarita and I also tried the chocolate. I felt they were on the dry side. The frosting on the margarita was not too sweet which I liked however these cupcakes had no filling and for the price I would have expected a more complex cupcake. I also felt the ratio of frosting to cupcake was off and ended up not eating the entire frosting. Overall I think they are pricey and although a good cupcake I was not wowed. The cookies looked really good so I may come back to try those. Service was okay.

I visited the place based on yelp's review. I got 5 cupcakes - Lemon honey - Chocolate: be aware it is super chocolate. If you aren't a chocolate person, avoid it - Strawberry - Brown velvet - Margarita All cupcakes are so good! Very moist and I could tell they were made with good ingredients. They aren't too sweet...I dont eat very sweet compared to average and their cupcakes sweetness is just perfect. I also got their pistachio cookies which are okay, I didnt taste pistachio much. So stick with their cupcakes. Service is great. The shop is small for takeout, no seating. I'd definitely be back to try other flavors. I want to try carrot cake which was gone when we got there later in the afternoon and other seasonal flavors!

If you need cookies or cupcakes to gift to someone, this is the place! The online ordering was so easy. My order was ready for pick up at the allotted time the very next day and service in-store was quick. They were very friendly as well. I forgot to ask about how long the cupcakes will keep for and how to store leftovers, so I texted their number from the website and got a quick response. Love that level of customer service. I'm not a huge sweets person, but these cupcakes were really tasty! The lemon was banging, omg it was so good. The cake is very fluffy - just the right texture. The frostings were not too heavy. I think you could really taste the quality of their ingredients. These might have been the freshest cupcakes I've ever had. Highly recommend for gifts or just a little treat!

This is an incredible dessert shop located in Phoenix Arizona. The cookies, brownies and cupcakes are amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this dessert shop.

The best bakery in Phoenix! The best small batch cupcakes, donuts, and cookies not to mention their homemade cakes are absolutely out of this world delicious! nothing artificial or chemical added to these products. They're pure delicious goodness also they have many gluten-free and vegan offerings which I find to be a godsend.

COME HERE! You will love their cupcakes. The few I got were moist, flavorful, and balanced perfectly. They change flavors I think weekly so keep an eye out for what they have on hand. But, I'm sure any flavor they do would be fantastic. They also have gluten free and vegan options available, so no one is excluded from being able to indulge in a perfect treat!

It had been a few years since I stopped by, went the other day and things look very put together and fancier. I liked the previous setup just as well. Cupcakes were delicious as I remembered!

I've had cupcakes here a couple of times but had never had the cookies. Hence the name, urban cookies... but I heard most people rave about the cupcakes. To be fair, I'm more of a cookie girl. I've been craving a snickerdoodle and bought a couple from random other shops and it wasn't hitting the spot. The one here though... wow! It's like the perfect amount of fluffy and chewy with that slight crunchy edge. Yum! Ok, so the cupcakes I tried prior I was underwhelmed. Not disappointed. They were still really great flavor. Looking back, I think I had buttercream icing I ate straight from the fridge, bad move. I tried them fresh from the shop this time (and didn't get the gluten free because it's not my thing but still glad they carry them for others) and it's a game changer. They're so delicious. Moist, flavorful. All of the things. The shop itself is cute. They'll always give recommendations for flavors. Overall a great experience! I definitely think I'll start swinging by more often :)

This is a one-stop shop for everything of sugary heavenly delight I wish I lived in AZ We visited for a week and went there every day My favorites are the churro cupcake, strawberry cupcake, cowboy cookie, and dark chocolate oatmeal (I think) cookie I had other things that were just incredibly delicious I don't rave about sweet shops very often because I'm very very picky. But this place is one of the best places I've had the pleasure of experiencing I was fortunate enough to discover them the first day of our trip, and now that I'm back home I'm really bummed Honestly these are in the top 10 baked goods I've ever had in my life!!

This is our second time trying their cupcakes. They are so good. My son surprised me for Valentine's Day. Some of the flavors he bought were gluten free. I don't have a need to be gluten free and they tasted so good like you would never know. Makes me want to hop on the gluten free train if this is what gluten free is. Their chocolate cupcake was heavenly with love a good chocolate cake. They are great at the shop so kind. I went on my birthday and mentioned we were heading to my birthday dinner and they offered me a free cupcake. Such a cute shop. You have to try. The cupcakes are so moist and full of flavor....before submitting this review I have gone back a 3rd time. This time we tried more cupcakes and cookies. What am I doing to myself. I had gastric 4 month ago and these are my treat cupcakes. The staff are so kind and they give students a discount.

Urban Cookies is a great spot for tasty treats, especially if you're gluten-free or vegan! I tried their GF chocolate salted caramel cupcake and the vegan banana coconut cupcake, and they were both fantastic! The GF chocolate salted caramel cupcake was super soft and just perfect. The mix of chocolate and caramel flavors was spot on. Surprisingly not too sweet! The vegan banana coconut cupcake was a flavor blast! The banana and coconut combo was amazing. 10/10 would order again. The place is small and cozy, but they've got a good range of options for both GF and vegan eaters. No sitting space, but an ample parking lot is offered. Plus, the service was attentive and friendly. Price-wise, it's $4.35 per cupcake, which might seem a bit steep, but honestly, for how yummy they are, it's worth it. Overall, Urban Cookies is a winner if you're into awesome baked goods that cater to different diets. Totally recommend giving it a try!

My favorite bakery in all of Arizona. I am not a cake person at all, but these cupcakes are the best you will ever find. The brown velvet and lemon honey get me hooked every time. Their cookies are amazing too, especially the double chocolate sea salt! These desserts make perfect gifts for special occasions because they will never disappoint.

I know so many people who love this place and I wanted to love it too- but unfortunately, for me, this isn't what I want when it comes to a vegan dessert. Everything was fairly average and a little on the dry side, I ended up only taking a bite of each item I got and didn't really care to finish it (this is a rare occurrence!). The chocolate donut and chocolate cupcake were the best out of everything I sampled (two types of cookies, maple donut, and coconut cupcake not pictured) and would be what I would order if happen to go back, but still feel like there's better options out there. Willing to give it a shot again but disappointed for now :(

I heard about this bakery (probably from tiktok) and decided to try it out on a recent trip to Phoenix. Since it is called "Urban Cookies", I decided to get cookies instead of cupcakes even though they have a large selection of both. I got the oatmeal/almond/raisin and the pineapple/coconut cookies. The pineapple coconut cookie was so good that I returned to the bakery the same day and got more. Seriously it was one of the best cookies I've ever had. I wish my stomach was bigger so I could fit more treats inside. This is a must try spot for anyone living in or visiting Phoenix.

Would love to give 10 stars! We had these amazing cupcakes for our dessert for brunch. I had the GF salted caramel.... The frosting MELTS in your mouth and the cake part-AMAZING. My friends had a GF and dairy free pumpkin one- so so good, and another had a regular pumpkin- she said the pumpkin wasn't too pumpkin-y, the perfect amount of pumpkin! These were the perfect treat- decadent and delicious.

Urban cookies is a whole vibe, and I'm sure that's what they were going for. I am not a frosting girl by any means. I often scrape it off of whatever desert I'm eating. But their Frosting, I could swim laps in. It was so good. Perfectly sweet, perfect texture. Their beer cupcake was so delish, but their lemon was my favorite. We also tried their nut bar (twice) and their chocolate brownie, a maple donut (which my husband described as a really good maple cake) and every single cookie flavor they had lol. Their dark and milk chocolate chip cookie was a fave, but in my eyes that lemon cupcake stole the show. I bought these treats and brought them back to our air bnb where 8 of us gave them all a try. I came back the next day, grabbed some more goodies to pack up to take home to my aunt. Follow them on Instagram and give them a try. You won't regret it.

Urban Cookies Bake Shop has become our go to cupcake/cookie place in town. We have ordered from them a few times and have had a nice experience. We've placed our orders online and they have been ready by the the time promised. We like that they have gluten free options as well. Looking forward to our next visit!

What a cute bakery! We came in here today to get some goodies. We decided on a maple donut, a chocolate donut with sprinkles and a chocolate salted caramel cupcake. We loved them all! The donuts are made without milk and eggs and I would have never guessed -- the donut was soft and the maple frosting in particular was so good. My daughter enjoyed the chocolate donut the most. This shop also offers cookies and cakes, among other baked goods such as brownies. Great service from the gal up front.

This place has some of the best cupcakes I've ever had! I ordered a half dozen cupcakes with the chocolate, brown velvet, chocolate caramel, lemon honey, Strawb, and their special flavor dragon fruit. All were honestly amazing and I would order again but my favorite was the brown velvet We also ordered a Caramel nut cookie bar and and a chocolate chip cookie which were so decadent and addicting. Overall I'm so glad I found this bake shop and will definitely be coming back when I'm in downtown!

Well these cookies are definitely urban, and they are definitely delicious! Despite the name, there is also a wide variety of sweets from cupcakes to bars to full size cakes. This is a sweet little shop perfect for a nice treat. Everyone is so friendly and available to help with your preferences.

I got there late, so there wasn't a lot left, to choose from, but anyway what I did get was absolutely delicious and I will go back and try more.

The cupcakes are delicious, fresh and fulfilling. The brownie was also amazing. I am very picky with icing of cupcakes. This place in particular is very delicate with their icing. It's the right amount of sweet and creamy. The coffee cupcake was delicious. The lemon one and grapefruit were ok. The caramel bar was amazing Be careful of the calories. I think I gained few pounds in just one visit

This place is an absolute gem, my girlfriend and I stop by for a sweet treat on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were incredibly helpful, and patient as we had several choices available. The quality of the cookies was great, and the cupcakes were both fresh and unique in their flavor combinations.

What a fun hidden gem! Caught this place from an IG food blogger. They have a ton of choices of cookies, cupcakes and a few donuts. The coffee cake cup cake was sooo good! If you have a sweet tooth this place is the place to be!

STOP IT!!! The chocolate/chocolate cupcake was so good!!! It was perfect in so many ways. Ps I am a vanilla person. We will be coming back that's for sure!

I'm giving one star only because of the fact that my chocolate chip cookies were not on point, they fell flat in appearance and taste. They taste like undercooked cookie dough, I have been eating these cookies for over 8 years and being that they are the only flavor I travel almost 25 miles to get, believe me I noticed. Whatever you done or didn't do to the batch on today 4/3/2024 please don't do it again, baking is a science and something IS most definitely missing from this batch. I haven't eaten my cupcakes as of yet, but if they are as bad as today's batch of Chocolate chip cookies, I'll let it be known.

I got a peach cupcake from here and it was delicious! You can see there are little cubes peaches in the cream and inside the cupcake as well. The staff was friendly and packed my cupcake right away. It's a small cute shop and I loved all the flavors they had to offer!

This place continues to only getter sweeter! I love how much they invest into their cupcakes and customers... high quality ingredients, gluten free or vegan options, very nice happy employees. Speaking of which, got my hands on their seasonal blueberry cupcake and dragonfruit cupcake! All natural blue dyed frosting! I mean who else does that!

This spot is great for some treats for any occasion. For me on this trip, I was looking for some seasonal (fall) sweet items for a night of pumpkin carving with my buddy. Getting into the Halloween spirit def involves some delicious and savory bites. I was glad to find they did have a few seasonally inspired cupcakes. I got both of them, the first being a Pumpkin Marshmallow cupcake and the second an Apple Maple Ginger cupcake (gluten free). I also grabbed a few cookies (why not I drove down there right?). I got a few chocolate chip cookies and the final cookie choice was a peanut butter cookie. Both of the seasonal cupcakes were great but my fav was the Apple Maple Ginger. It just was so moist and those flavors just complimented each other so well. The cookies were yummy as well. The service was welcoming and polite and the layout of the shop is great for ordering and there is a few spots out front if you can't make it home (or the car) to taste your purchase. I'm going to include a pic of our finished pumpkin carving. :)

Not only were they visually stunning, but they were also incredibly moist and delicious. If you haven't had a chance to visit Urban Cookies yet, I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed!

I haven't been in to the bakery in at least a year or so maybe more. I've been busy with being a foster parent lol. I took my two-year-old into the bakery on Saturday, May 14, 2024. Let me just say that the service is always amazing and the items available in the bakery are always absolutely top-notch. This is coming from someone who has been to very good bakeries in different cities, especially my hometown of New York City. The buttercream on the cupcakes is so fluffy and light and absolutely amazing with all natural flavors and the items are never overpowering with too much sugar. Their sweetened just perfectly. My little one and I enjoyed our cupcakes last night for a Mother's Day celebration in our living room lol One thing I will mention to the owners is that I was a little bit, disappointed to see that there was no seating outside and that the bakery on the inside has been reduced size for customers extremely significantly. Again, I haven't been in in a while, so I don't know when this was done , but it was a bit claustrophobic. I'm also sad to see that the city has decided to build more apartment buildings and place them directly across the street from the bakery, making seventh Street, extremely crowded and again it adds to the claustrophobic atmosphere. That's no fault of the owners at all of this business and I'm not marking them off because that wouldn't be fair. It's just sad to see all over central Phoenix these family own small businesses being crowded out by these tall apartment buildings and other monstrosities of modern build. Even the Starbucks on seventh Street right next to the Good egg and those businesses over there are impacted and it's been really sad to see that happening. These are all favorite places that I've had since I moved to the valley in 1998.kudos to these businesses, but particularly urban cookies, bakery for sticking it out and even expanding to another location. Thank you for always providing us with a smile and amazing treats to enjoy!

First time customer here. I ordered a Birthday Cake To Go Cake and it did not disappoint! The cake was super moist and the frosting wasn't overly sweet. Everything tasted so fresh and obviously made with quality ingredients. The presentation is also fun with all of the different cake/frosting layers displayed. Pickup was a breeze. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
