Urban Cowboy Bar - Review - Downtown - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The people behind our beloved spot in East have debuted a new multilevel version in the Arcade Downtown. Downstairs, you’ll find a bar with real saloon vibes—all that’s missing are the swinging butterfly doors—and a short cocktail list with only five drinks. Roberta’s pizza outpost fuels folks drinking beer or gloriously salty dirty martinis. On the top floor, the giant windows overlook the arcade on one side and the city on the other, and the room with its plush seating is super accommodating for groups and birthday toasts. The space is just as stunning as the clarified strawberry milk punch and herbaceous gin drink loaded with botanicals like yellow chartreuse and Cherry Heering on the menu." - Ann Walczak

Nashville’s New Restaurant Openings - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Taking over an 8,000-square-foot spot in The Arcade, Urban Cowboy brings its signature saloon-style boozing to Downtown in a new two-story space. Amidst the wagon wheel chandeliers and stuffed head of a 3,000-pound buffalo, there are cocktails to be had. Downstairs, you’ll find Roberta’s doling out slices alongside cold mugs of beer." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

Urban Cowboy Bar in Nashville is seriously one of a kind! The window display sets the tone right away with its funky “space cowboy and girlfriend walking on the moon with their pet armadillos scene." Total points for creativity! Inside, it’s a wild mix of cool and quirky, with taxidermy creatures climbing across the bar and walls. The cocktails are fun and inventive, and the vibe shifts by level. More action and energy downstairs, with a chill, relaxed atmosphere upstairs. Service was attentive, and the drinks were good, too! Urban Cowboy is a fun spot that totally nails the cool meets out of this world aesthetic.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday meeting some friends right at noon. There were a few folks at the bar, a couple of tables taken, but plenty of space overall even with the cocktail bar area upstairs closed (it apparently opens at 4pm). We grabbed drinks at the bar, then ordered at the connected Roberta's pizza counter, and sat back down in the main section of Urban Cowboy. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and helpful - very nice vibes overall. Definitely welcoming to everyone who walked in. We got 2 slices of marinara ($3.50 each) and 2 slices of pepperoni ($5 each). We were told that slices were only available then for cheese, pepperoni, and marinara - full pies were available for everything listed on the menu. Our pizza was brought to us by the Roberta's staff in about 5-7 minutes after we ordered - very fast and efficient. Slices were great especially for the price and wait. My friend particularly was raving about the special ranch dipping sauce making everyone at the table give it a try. The bar is decorated impeccably and seems like it will be a super fun place to meet up and grab a drink. It's got some essence of the East Nashville location, but a vibe all its own that I think will also be great for the Arcade and downtown Nashville.

Stepping into this three leveled new bar was an immediate sensory delight. The subtle, cleansing aroma of palo santo hung pleasantly in the air, perfectly complementing the beautifully executed decor. It's clear that attention to detail was a priority in creating this space. The drinks were equally impressive; I particularly enjoyed the expertly crafted 'Are You Mad At Me?' and the intriguing 'Standing Room' - both were delicious and thoughtfully balanced. Our bartender, James, was fantastic, friendly with a smile to match,he clearly knew his craft. Can’t wait to visit again!

They ever miss. Every design detail inspires creativity, calm, and relaxed conversational environments. Spanning a few floors, this bar has views on views inside and out. Every direction is a well thought out scene, encouraging turned heads constantly. The bar staff is great and keeps conversation going. Couldn’t recommend this place more. An absolute need to visit when you’re in Nashville.

Wonderfully friendly staff! And a great break from the madness that is downtown Nashville in early June. The bartender was as cowboy as my no-show sports socks… but that’s perfectly fine, I came for the cold cider (Off to find live raccoon)

Staff was friendly but underprepared for opening night, Waited 40 min for a $38 “Bee Sting pizza” that was prepared under pressure. hopefully they work out the inefficiencies.

We weren’t there for long, but I was obsessed with my Paloma and the vibe.🦝 Avoid if you don’t like taxidermy…make a special trip if you do!

Yelp
This place is so fun. Three levels of seating, with great window-side booths on the top floor (perfect for people watching out the window). Beautiful, tall ceilings and live greenery snaking along the walls. On the bottom floor, NY style-pizza slices or whole pies, but with super fun toppings (bee sting is spicy, with honey), although there are more straightforward options too. I ordered and received down there, then brought it upstairs. But! Because you're smarter than me (and reading this review) you can sit upstairs in the third-floor cool booths and order and the pizza is brought upstairs. The bars inside are gorgeous, and bartenders make a nice selection of less-frilly drinks available at many area bars. As in, well balanced and not overly full of sugar.
