"Urban has many doughnut options, but the way to go in this Uptown patisserie is to hit the Selfie Bar. Start by choose from a variety of bread bases (standard yeast, a long roll, cake, and flavors including red velvet, blueberry, vanilla, and chocolate) and top it with frosting (all the expected flavors and, for the more eccentric, Oreo, peanut butter, and maple are on offer), toppings (fruits, nuts, and candies), then add a drizzle (think hot fudge or raspberry)." - Courtney E. SerpAPI
Love this spot! Great place for donuts, breakfast pizzas, and kolaches. Service was very efficient and she stayed so calm. The donuts are large and so delicious. We had ordered the jalapeño kolache - so good. Nice atmosphere and places to sit and eat. They offer pre-orders for pick up . I noticed they may habe a daily box for sale at $5 if you choose to grab one . Urban does have drinks for sale - water, red bull, milk, and various soda brands. Coffee dispenser was there , also We will return.

I’ve been searching for a good maple bacon donut in Texas and this is it! Perfect balance of maple, bacon, and donut. So dang good. Staff was awesome. The other donuts we had were really good, too. Also picked up some “dog donuts” for the pups which they devoured with joy

SerpAPI
Their donuts are truly the best in town. Not only can you customize it but the best part is that even if you don't, they taste absolutely amazing. I am more than in love with this place 😍 Recommend anyone whos new and coming to try out Mckinney Ave (my fav) and the churro donuts!

SerpAPI
This place was amazing! Just visiting the area and wanted to try some local donuts, truly great flavors and the lady behind the counter was lovely. Awesome place!!

SerpAPI
Made a great review on yelp aswell so that goes to say I love coming here from the delicious donuts to the happy friendly faces!!! I was even lucky enough to find out they make donuts for my pup also !!

SerpAPI
Great donuts! They will make a donut shake as well! I didn't try the shake but I'm definitely getting one on my next visit! Though I was lucky enough to get a parking spot close, the parking sucks like most of dallas in downtown and uptown.

SerpAPI
I had Cookies and Cream Donut,.Apple Fritter and a Glaze Donut all very good

Yelp
Overall had a great experience ordering take out from Urban Donut! I order the half dozen variety donuts and it did not disappoint! There was a wide selection of donuts and the Dallas-touch in naming was great. My personal favorite was the Smores donut - the icing / topping was a subtle flavor to balance out the sugary dough. I didn't get to experience the service or ambiance very well but I can say that the donuts were ready on time!

Kayla L.

Yelp
I LOVED this place! They have such a wonderful variety of donut flavors and styles every single one is so tempting. And if for some reason you don't find one that's exactly what you'd like, they have a build your own donut bar as well! So really, everyone can have their dream doughnut! They also offer a variety of coffees. I ordered a medium latte with oat milk. They have several milk alternative options, as well as flavor syrups to add. They also offer cappuccinos, cold brew, drip, etc. There's some street parking outside, this is a small little shop with two seats to eat indoors. You order on a tablet and your order quickly is provided by a worker. We took ours to go. The donuts are so delicious and so fresh I can't recommend them enough. I had a hard time deciding, but I went with a maple raised doughnut, and the turtle donut. The turtle donut is a chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting, and salted caramel on top with a few nuts. It was so fresh and so moist. The maple one was also good, but I definitely favored the cake.

Jenae B.

Yelp
Not bad, but my expectations may have been high. The donuts were tasty but it was only noon on a Saturday so I was expecting a fresher tasting donut. They were a bit dry but ok. The coffee was like sweet coffee flavored water tho.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
When I want a really good donut ans to be bad. When I really craving something decadent. I always order these donuts. I always order 1/2 dozen mixed specialty from here. They never ever disappoint. They always satisfy my craving, my sweet tooth, my savory and sweet together and what I do is I just take a little bite of every single one. The maple bacon is by far my favorite after that comes the PB&J.

Patrick P.

Yelp
Great donuts! Love running by on Saturday morning and picking up a few glazed donuts they are so good.

Matt Z.

Yelp
Really great place to stop in and get a donut and coffee. Extremely friendly as well. Looking forward to going back.

Tiffany R.

Yelp
I will start off by saying the service was excellent. I got a glazed donut dipped in chocolate and caramel drizzled apple fritter. The glazed donut was stale tasting and the chocolate was just ok. The apple fritter was really tasty but cold. I am glad I went to see the hype of build your own, but also at 10 am they were out of fillings to put in a donut. Again really good customer service.

Collin B.

Yelp
My donut tastes like it was made yesterday. When you bite into the donut, it's slightly cold and the icing cracks off.

Milam M.

Yelp
Only go here if you like your donuts cold and too expensive. Another reason you might want to go here is to feel like a burden for wanting donuts at 11 am on a Saturday. I was served cold un-iced donuts for $6 a piece.

Sharon W.

Yelp
The donuts were amazing!! the only thing that might be typical is parking, but I was able to find parking really fast I will definitely recommend

Yelp
Claiming to "create a sense of diversity and inclusivity in our community" through design-one's-own Donuts and Shakes one can only hope Urban Donut's social agenda outpaces both their unbearably dry rings and lousy customer service. Visited Sunday around noon, the second location on Allen Street selected entirely based on proximity, it was to half-filled shelves and music that guests were "greeted," the quotes in response to a masked woman who uttered no hello and barely three words in monotone save for the half-dozen's high price. No stranger to upscale Donuts, and in reality having visited more shops across America than perhaps a select few, tasting occurred outside Urban Donut's tight confines, the Old Fashion sending up warning flags with day-old texture plus a dearth of Sour Cream that is even more lacking in a Cinnamon-Sugar rolled "Churro." Not partaking in "The Selfie," an overly clever way to upsell Fillings or Toppings added by dismissive staff, not even Icing and Buttercream are enough to save McKinney Ave from a chalky consistency while Samoa-riffing Highland Park fares better - though not by much. Finding some hope in Raised Donuts, Pegasus Crunch fluffy beneath Nutella and adherent Rice Krispies around an unnecessary Chocolate Kiss, Urban's Fritter thankfully features plenty of Fruit and not much Oil, but an overwhelming amount of Glaze unfortunately renders the flavor just sweet.

Yelp
One of my fav place to go when I'm in the mood for some dnut. This place has a lot of selection to choose from or can be made by order of your choice. It is located in Uptown definitely worth trying reasonable priced friendly staff quality product Don't forget to try when your in the area!

Yelp
I'm not saying there's not worse out there. But these are hands down the worst donuts I've ever had. Now, I'm originally not from here. I come from somewhere spoiled with ridiculously good food spots. What I've seen since I've been here is that DFW is oversaturated with pretty much every food you can think of. This being said I think it's easier to stay in business with bad-mediocre food just because they're pretty here. Whereas in a less populated area, your stuff has to actually be good. Just my opinion. Like I just said, the donuts are pretty. They have good concepts and are decorated nicely. I think they have a really good start to a donut shop in that regard. We'll start with the basic glazed raised donuts. I feel like this should be a good gauge as to how your experience will be at any donut place. To me, the dough did have a good donut flavor. HOWEVER, like many people have said this isn't like a pillowy, doughy soft donut. It's very dense like a dinner roll. The glaze was also unimpressive. It tasted like stale powdered sugar and water. I tried it a few times seeing if my opinion would change, sadly it didn't. Next, the Kolaches. Again, I'm not from here and I haven't had Kolaches until I moved here. I personally did like the sausage that they use for their Kolaches. They are wrapped in croissant dough, and while this sounds like a good idea I don't believe it was executed well. The croissant was cooked externally very well but the sausage greases and oils made it very soggy and dense inside. I also think the weight of the sausage just weighed it down. Besides the outside crunch it doesn't feel like a croissant - for that reason I feel like it'd be better in a "traditional" dough. I personally didn't try the cake donuts but my coworker did. They were underwhelmed and disappointed. They said that the cake was dry and the icing lacked flavor. Again, I didn't try but that's what their experience was. Overall, it wasn't the most terrible thing in the world. It was edible. But again, worst donuts I've personally had. I'd say I'd try again to see if my opinion can be changed but based on other customers reviews I'm thinking the issues I had are pretty consistent with others.

Yelp
Pretty dry unflavored donuts and apple fritters for 2-4 times the cost of a good donut. I wouldn't recommend it

Nicole F.

Yelp
I had higher hopes for this place considering I spent $15 for 4 donuts. The donuts were dry and cakey. I had better donuts for cheaper. Oh well it was an experience and the presentation was nice. Order online for pickup and get 10% off your order of more than $10 I think it was.

Kelly G.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. I am so disgusted by the massive 1inch chunks of lard on their "bacon" breakfast bagel. Stay far away from this place. YUCK!

Brandon B.

Yelp
My first time here. I appreciate small businesses so thought I would give them a try. Location is convenient to Uptown. Got the bacon maple, regular glazed, and a caked donut with coconut. Unfortunately all of them just were not good. Glazed was super bland and the maple had too many bacon bits. I think the maple bacon was $5, for a donut!?! You can do better somewhere else. Very disappointing

Jean Paul M.

Yelp
Small shop right in uptown Dallas I finally got around to visiting. The place has a quaint feel and the team was extremely friendly. They all wear masks and gloves due to Covid and limit the amount of people that can come in to the store. The food was pretty decent but nothing special which leads me to considering it overpriced for the quality of food you get. We ordered a few of the donuts both filled and regular glazed, a breakfast bagel (which was the best part of the meal) and a hot and iced coffee. Good pit stop if you're in the area and craving a sweet treat.

Jack C.

Yelp
Stopped by one morning for donuts, got the trolley car Bavarian cream log, a kolache, and the breakfast sandwich. All 3 were excellent. They also have $5 boxes of the previous days donuts to take to coworkers. Great donuts, will be back to try the design your own donut

Matt P.

Yelp
I must say...next to Tex Mex and BBQ, Texas goes hard on that donut life. You will find hipster to local donut locations literally on every corner. Now I know why everything is bigger in Texas. While cakey donuts may not be everyone's cup of tea (or coffee, or chai latte), their cereal and sweet infused concoctions are fun to try for the whole family!

Jevonda L.

Yelp
Service was good. Very inviting and courteous. However, the donuts were overpriced and bland. Pretty...but bland. $3 for one donut is outrageous. But I understand given the location. I just expected the taste to be better to compensate for how much I was spending. I will say they tasted fresh. Just no real donut taste about them. I purchased a chocolate glazed and cake donut with frosting. Neither met my expectations.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
A quaint little neighborhood donut shop this is. From my attempted tries, hard it is to find parking here and out of luck if you don't come real early or order in advance for seasonally decorated donuts. On this particular stormy day, I finally made it in their front door. With no warmth nor greeting given, quickly I changed mind of instead of getting the last minute dozens for a party to just trying 1 for myself. Well, their enticing "Pumpkin Spice" topping and frosting on their donut was absolutely delicious; as for the donut itself, meh - dry and tasteless it was. Glad I am in checking UD off my to try list now. Cheers!

Chris C.

Yelp
What a great local store, try the Urban Kolache, it's a XL sausage baked in a croissant and they have egg sandwiches made in bagels

Elena S.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! They had so many different kinds whether you were looking for more sweet or savory. The employees were very nice and fast. It was a hard decision to make but I got a triple chocolate brownie and plain chocolate frosted (urban sprinkle) donut. They were both delicious! All together it was $5 which is not a bad price for being able to support a small business with delicious donuts. Definitely recommend!

Louis T.

Yelp
The best Maple Donut, Blueberry Glazed, and Old Fashion Glazed donuts I've ever had. First time going here. I'd eat the whole dozen but I would get diabetes. Fun Facts: They have many options. 1.) Already made donuts which you can order right away. 2.) Then they have 3 "base" donuts that are plain and can be added on to. You can add toppings (snickers, Reese's, Oreo, nuts, and many more options) and fillings. They also have iced sandwich donuts. Donut shakes. I ended up asking for fresh donuts which took about 10 minutes but they made mine fresh. All you have to do is ask the lady and she can make them fresh for you. The glaze is hot/warm so you have to let it cool off for a little but otherwise it's soft, moist, and melts in your mouth. The only downside... if you eat them while they're warm, you can go through 6 donuts in 5 minutes and not realize it. #Gainz

Benjamin C.

Yelp
The people were so nice and welcoming, just to buy donuts. Haha. I wasn't rushed to get out and had a minute to checkout the different donuts. Pegasus Nutella Rice Crispy was better than the other one I got. Simple, Soft, and not overly complicated. The S'more donut. Marshmallow was burnt, but it was the lightest, thinnest, burnt I've ever seen in my lift. The ascetics of the outside looked really good and the inside of the marshmallow was a little gooey. The donut itself was also soft and full bodied. These were good donuts (not mind blowing, but maybe a little better than the chain donut shops). With that said, I don't know if I'd pay $3.50 per donut again. These were two donuts for $7.

Daniela N.

Yelp
This place has been on my try list for quite some after seeing in a few instagram donuts. This a small little shop with friendly staff. All the donuts looked visually appealing so I found it quite hard to pick one. From what I saw all the donuts where $2.49 which sounds like a good price considering that they are unique flavors and decorated nicely. I finally selected the cake me up B4 U go go which is a red velvet cake donut topped with cream cheese frosting and red velvet crumbles. The red-velvet donut I ordered was quite disappointing. I did not get that classic red velvet flavor that I was hoping for. The cream cheese frosting tasted more like sugar than cream cheese. Overall the donut was just way too sweet and this is coming from someone with a big sweet tooth. I was impressed by how the icing did not melt on my walk from urban donut to Klyde Warren park in this 100 degree weather. This place just did not deliver flavor wise. I might come back to try some of the other flavors, but only if I am nearby because so far from what I've experienced this place is not worth the drive.

Nicole Q.

Yelp
Such beautiful donuts! No one can deny how photogenic their pastries are. But the truth is - these are NOT donuts. These are pieces of bread with donut toppings. The bite is not yeasty. They taste and feel like dinner rolls. Where's the pillowy air pockets? You won't find those here. The saving grace is the frosting and ample toppings. The cake donuts were not much better. Also, kind of expensive at $20 for a half dozen... At least the service and delivery were good. Overall, I would not come back. I'll stick to Top Pot for my gourmet donuts.

Eric G.

Yelp
This has been the 3rd visit for myself and Jim does not disappoint loving the breakfast croissants and especially the decorative flavored donuts and you can't go wrong with a doggy donut for your pup

T X.

Yelp
Came here after seeing it on someones youtube. Went on a monday morning. I don't remember the guys name bur he was very friendly and helpful telling us about the donuts. Ended up getting 4 donuts,a cold brew coffee which was very good(better than the 9$ starbucks coffee) and a coke. I also like they sell the day before donuts, instead of tossing them, in a box at a discounted price. Nothing wrong with day before donuts! We will be back just for the friendly service alone, that's hard to find now a days! The donuts are good too, and the whole atmosphere of the place is pretty fun!

Danny G.

Yelp
Leaning more towards a 3.5/5 because of the difficulties of ordering online. Ordered 4 donuts - really enjoyed the Urban Sprinkle (chocolate dipped yeast donut with sprinkles) - a classic but done really well. Light, tasty, and everything you want in a donut. The lady got the lemonberry and maple dipped glaze which both looked great. Parking is rough but only a short walk for me. Recommend going here and trying out these donuts. Friendly staff and good vibes inside and out. Wide array of donuts from basic to build your own custom. I'll be back "Arnold"

James R.

Yelp
Extremely friendly staff...i assume he was the owner. The doughnuts were good and the location was in a really cute neighborhood.

Dashea F.

Yelp
Really cute place in Uptown. Great concept. They have different variety of donuts but you can also build your donut which is so neat. 1.)Choose a base donut of different varieties 2.)Choose a glaze topping, filler or extra toppings ie.) nuts, sprinkles etc... Their Kolaches are really good too. I got the Nutella donut and red velvet!!! The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the lady working there was not very friendly, or welcoming. She seemed like put out that we were there. Just there to do her job. I just know on a Sunday morning, going to a new place for me to try, down the street, I feel the hospitality could be more welcoming.

Jon L.

Yelp
Ridiculously slow!!!! To sit in a doughnut shop waiting for 20min on an order that was called in is unacceptable.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Unlike pizza, I have had bad doughnuts!! This is not the worst doughnut I've ever had but is close. We got six doughnuts from Urban two were yeast donuts and four were cake doughnuts. The yeast doughnuts were a cross between a bagel and French bread: though, bland, and would be better with salmon. Props, though, for the Animal Cookie doughnut! I love a good sprinkle and Animal Cookie, even though the doughnut itself tasted like Strawberry Shortcake exploded in the hole. The cake doughnuts were better but not great. They tasted old, like the Oreo cookies you hid under your bed in middle school. Overall I give it an Ehh...‍ out of five. I gave it three stars bc they had one chocolate cake doughnut that was adorned with chocolate frosting and sprinkles that not only had a great balanced flavor but was moist like good chocolate cake!

Austin B.

Yelp
Quite good donuts. The employees are are so nice! I tend towards savory vs sweet, and some of the iced selections are a bit too sweet for my liking but that is purely preference. The donuts themselves are pretty light. Loved the old fashioned, glazed and jelly filled. Blueberry solo great, with frosting was bit much. They also do donut milkshakes. Dear lawd, had one...It was magnificent and immediately after I felt super dirty and kind of hated myself. But so worth it and will def repeat the pleasure/guilt spiral soon

Abbey H.

Yelp
I'm not even a donut person, much less a chocolate iced donut person. But UDs chocolate iced donut is insanely good. The key is to order them in the morning, as they're the freshest. Their cinnamon rolls are heavenly especially when heated up a little. Moist, rich, decadent!! I've never been disappointed with an urban donut order. I think some of the bad reviews are people simply critiquing their marketing styles and that's fine but as for me-- I just want a freakin good donut man. And they deliver!

Allene C.

Yelp
Four stars for a unknown donut shop that delivers great customer service and unique creations. I was craving a donut and of course the first option that popped up was the oh so popular Glazed donuts in Deep Elum. And I was very excited to go, but I found that the shop would not be open while I was in the area. So I looked down a little further and found this gem. The thing that really drew me in was the Selfie donut, it's an option that the restaurant offers where you can create your own donut. And when I arrived the Selfie did not disappoint. Contrary to other donut shops that may offer this option, this establishment offers an Apple Fritter, Brownie and Cinnamon roll as a base to their make it yourself donuts. I opted for the apple fritter covered with peanut butter icing, bacon and peanuts; so good! And on top of that they will heat up your donut for you, so if you can't make it in by the early hours of the morning you're still insured a warm treat. That was the only option I was able to taste on my visit but they did have a variety of other things, such as a number of appealing and unique savory breakfast options. The employee at the front counter was friendly and helpful. He started a conversation with me and was willing to help me in any way that I asked, even outside of offering recommendations. The storefront is small and cute. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who likes pastries or donuts, I think they deserve to be well-known!

Shawna F.

Yelp
So many donuts so little time. Come by Urban Donut for a breakfast date with the boo or pickup a box of assorted unique donuts to feed out-of-town guests or as a gift to the coworkers! It's a walkable spot in Uptown but you can also find street parking if you're commuting. Highly recommend!

Lindsy H.

Yelp
Okay I LOVE donuts and I am fiercely outspoken about specialty donuts that try to add a bunch of junk on top but taste horrible. So when I stepped into Urban Donut I was not impressed by what I saw, specialty donuts. Marshmallows, cereal and other craziness atop modest size donuts, but I had promised my son a treat when I returned home so I thought I would try one myself. HOLY COW!!!! The donuts themselves were soft, moist, cooked just right. Yes the toppings were still ridiculous and ruined the donuts themselves, but I was impressed the cake portion of the donuts were cooked so well. I was also treated to a quick meet and great with the owner(s). Genuinely kind and friendly not only to the customers but each of the employees, who they greeted by name. I plan to stick with real donuts, but was delightfully surprised by Urban Donuts and would recommend them if you enjoy the occasional specialty donut.

Julianna B.

Yelp
Ordered via uber eats. This is not your average donut shop. I would make this a special occasion type of place due to the price and sweetness of just one donut. I ordered 4 donuts for about $16 not including delivery which seemed fair after getting the donuts and seeing how amazing they looked. They also tasted great but again very sweet so one will do it for the average person.

Charles W.

Yelp
Sorry the people were very friendly but the doughnuts were not very good. Probably better in the morning

Kim Oanh T.

Yelp
My Louis is totally obsessed with this treat. I think it's quite big for a small dog like him so I just give him 1/3 every day. In case you are wondering, the decoration on top is obviously not chocolate. The staff told me it is just dough with food coloring. I also love their Glazed Donut. It's just so classic and tasty. Can't wait to try their savory menu next time.

Gabriela H.

Yelp
Came here as on an afternoon study break after scoping it out on yelp and insta. I couldn't resist such incredibly photogenic pastries! Really wish they tasted as great as they looked.. Parking was a breeze in the garage behind the shopping mall (free!), and I walked into the store with the excitement of a two-year-old about to pounce on a brand new toy. The staff member was friendly and patient with us since it was our first time here. My boyfriend and I picked our donuts by how cute and appetizing they looked from the display case - that was our first mistake. We were so excited for the "Cake Me Up" red velvet (because who can resist red velvet), the "Pegasus Crunch" to satisfy our nutella fix, the maple/bacon donut, and the "Big D" apple fritter, which looked like it its moist, buttery goodness was going to steal the show. On the pricey side - all this rang up to around $20. We sat down at their outdoor seating to enjoy our feast and were immediately disappointed. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend any of these donuts. After chomping off a bite of each one, I wished I hadn't spent my break here! I really wanted to fall in love with a new donut place, but it's hard to appreciate the beauty each gourmet donut when you know the base donut is cold, dry, flavorless, and slightly resembles (not good) bread. Where are the fresh donuts?!? Yelpers, you led me astray! The nicest part of this trip was probably playing with cute puppies nearby (peak dog-walking time). I'll stick to more consistent donut places, won't be coming back.

Angie K.

Yelp
I love donuts. While I appreciate their concept, I wasn't a fan of their products. Someone else pointed out the same thing- the bread itself is pretty dry and bland. Sure, you can slap on lots of icing and goodies, but you can put those things on anything and get some fans. I've visited 4-5 times and thought that maybe I didn't get a fresh batch, but no. On the upside, I think they have a loyalty program, offer a dessert shake (ice cream+donut) and have long hours.

Dawn G.

Yelp
If you know me, you know I'm always on the hunt for gourmet donut spots and donut bars. This is a strong Dallas contender! This place is a bit hidden on Allen St. The storefront is small and easily missed, except at night, when they have color changing lights draw your eye. What is neat about this place is the fact that you can pretty much build your own donut, which they call "The Selfie." They have a selection of donuts, frostings, toppings etc. So don't be afraid to let out your creative side. They also have their own specialty donuts, which have super fun names and look too good to eat. So far, I've tried 3 donuts here. Hands down favorite is the U Bacon Me Crazy. YOU GUYS, THIS DONUT!!!!!! Jon G. is the bacon on Donuts king, I enjoy them from time to time, but after trying this one, you might have to name me Bacon on Donuts Queen, because it's going to be hard to come here and not buy a U Bacon Me Crazy! It starts with a yeast ring, glazed with jalapeño jelly, topped with crumbled bacon and finished with a cream cheese icing drizzle. IT'S SO YUMMY! I'm a biggggg fan of Jalapeño jelly and this was a damn good application of it. The flavors are so well balanced, sweet and salty, spicy and rich. Come here, get this donut, end of story. The Cake Me Up Before You Go Go is a Red Velvet Cake Donut with decadent cream cheese frosting and red velvet crumble. Very tasty and just the right amount of frosting. Then there's The Cowboy, a blueberry cake donut with blueberry cream frosting and a dollop of blueberry preserves. I really enjoyed this one! The flavor was spot on, not too dry and the dot of blueberry preserves was a really nice touch! Donuts are average priced for gourmet flavors, which is anywhere from $1.99 a pc to upwards of $3 or more per pc. Worth it in my opinion, these aren't .80 cent plain glazed rings after all. My only complaint would be that each donut was a bit dense. For cake donuts, it's not that big of a deal. And they were all moist, despite being so dense. But even the yeast ring seemed a bit dense when I bit it. Still not terrible, but I'll definitely be paying attention to the texture next time to see if this is consistent. Regardless, Urban Donut is worth a visit. If for nothing else, go get the U Bacon Me Crazy, seriously! You will not be disappointed! Looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for the future Urban Donut!

Katie S.

Yelp
Very bad service and terrible ice cream. We waited outside and no one came to help us and we obviously were super confused. Terrible!!!!

Liz A.

Yelp
When rating sweets, I usually ask myself - would these be worth it on a cheat day? The answer for Urban Donuts is definitely no - if I had these to treat myself, I would definitely feel disappointed and regretful, because they are not good. These donuts are definitely beautiful, but not super tasty or fresh. We sampled around 6 donuts and actually left most in the box because they tasted stale and dry (perhaps they were from the day before?) The woman behind the counter also wasn't the friendliest, which made it even less likely that we'll return.

Duda B.

Yelp
Me and my husband went to Urban Donut for a late night sweet snack! We were excited to try since it had 4 stars on Yelp. We went there around 9:30pm so we did not find all the flavor options - which we were expecting since it was late. The guy working in the was very friendly! He recommended some of their flavors and took his time explaining everything and answering all our questions. We finally chose Red Velvet and the Peanut Butter and Jelly ones. The Red Velvet was ok - it was basically a cake, not a donut. It was kinda dense. My husband had the PB&J and like it a lot! They also have made-to-order donuts, so you can pick your base, glaze and toppings and you get a picture in their selfie wall! We didn't try that one but thought it was a cool idea.

Ana P.

Yelp
My first experience at Urban Donut could not have gone any better. We went there by chance when we realized there was no Dunkin Do'nuts in Dallas. Desperate for a kolache, we went to Urban Donut with 0% expectations. W O W Adorable little location that opens up in a big way when you get inside. The donut display looked yummy and so did the kolaches! It was 8 in the morning and we wound up ordering kolaches, cold brew coffee and a milkshake made out of a donut! I would bring anyone here the kolaches and milkshake were delicious. I got the Urban Kolache with cheddar wrapped in a croissant. It was phenomenal and not TOO cheesy, the croissant was baked to perfection with the flaky layers not swallowing the rich flavor of the sausage like most places do. Good god it's so good! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who's in Dallas!
